John gives me Possum vibes...
Just a little guy, little awkward creature doing his best.
He hasn't got much going for him but he's still going
I know everyone loves to think he's a big bear (And to be fair I can certainly see it) but... Possum

It frustrates me to no end when let's players write off the end of Little Hope (in the Dark Pictures Anthology series) as "it's all in Anthony's head". It's only mostly in his head, but the Witchcraft was real. Anthony develops visions and an extreme mental health decline as an adult, because his family was killed by an evil demon in the prologue! The spirit Megan was talking to was real. The evil priest was really doing witchcraft, and he was working with the a real demon. Yeah, Anthony's delusions are 100% of the gameplay, but his trauma has supernatural origins.
I do wish there was a confrontation with the evil priest in the current timeline in order to make things more clear. The fact that the evil priest is only present in the old timeline and in written lore makes the supernatural element of the story overly subtle. Also, the old, settler timeline seems like a manifestation of Anthony's delusions and his research into the occult. (He did research to look into the history of the town, how it relates to what happened to his family, and the evil priests.) Admittedly, the overall story could have been communicated better so more people would understand it. However, I think it's annoying when people write off the whole game's story as "none of it mattered because it was a delusion." Sure, a lot of it was a delusion, but there was a real supernatural mystery that players solved throughout. The demon that burned down their house was real! There really were evil priests! It wasn't all imaginary!
(Tangent! We don't find out what happened to the current-timeline's evil priest. Is he supposed to be in jail? Was he held accountable for the arson in the prologue? It seems like he wouldn't be able to be held accountable, because he killed Anthony's family with a demon. Because he wasn't caught, did he continue to lure in children to his evil cult? He clearly doesn't stick around in the abandoned town of little hope. Did he just die between the time of the prologue and the current timeline? I wanna know what happened to the evil priest in the current timeline in order to have a more sound conclusion.)

New trailer for Directive 8020 has come out from Gamescom, now confirmed for release in 2025 (definitely bummed no release this year but I'm guessing they don't want to clash with the Until Dawn remake).
So excited to see Lashana Lynch in the game, I love her in Still Star-Crossed and Captain Marvel! And thrilled to see this space adventure!

Rest in peace, Tony Pankhurst. You were the perfect face for The Curator. I couldn't ever imagine anyone else in that role as you helped to bring that character to life. It breaks my heart to hear of your passing. 馃様馃挃

Just gonna say it.
I have know many a farmer in my life from family, to friends to the people I met while working at a market and there is one thing in common I fucking adore... and that's that they have a right hook that could level a fucking raging bull!!
Just saying, Little Hope would have thrived if Joseph squared up and rocked The Reverends jaw... argue all you want I know I'm right!!!
You think all that farm work is going to waste?! All that crop and animal tending is putting some heavy bulk on that man and I am telling you his fists are a weapon like no other!!
If Joseph is the best version of the Js then that little Puritan bastard has perfected that terrifying strength Johns got and could kill a man with a slap I will not take a word of criticism on this.
Joseph would be a fucking menace if he stopped tending to the cows and started tending to these beat downs!!
