I couldn't stop thinking about an AU where Daniel resorts to gathering vitae again, this time to 'cure' Hazel, after his Brennenburg adventure💫, thoughts all mainly derived from this loadscreen text that tells us that Hazel is still in hospice care by the time the game's story began.

As much as I love Daniel, I don't think he really learned all that much from his experience even in the most charitable ending towards him in which he saves Agrippa. I can very, VERY easily see him slipping back into old ways if it meant saving Hazel. The most he seems to approach viewing torture as bad is when he realizes he himself no longer counts as an innocent so he can't justify killing others to save himself anymore. But killing no good, horrible, bad people to save HAZEL? Now, we're cooking with gas 😀 💀

oddly comforting that nothing can hurt me worse than yesterday

#this doesnt even scratch the surface rlly #i cant fit the fact that they lied to us about federal reclamation availability law (its 24/7 and they tried claiming 9pm was too late)#or that there were no lights buildings signage or people anywhere in the maze of dark alley with dozens of different lots #or that they were mocking my mom over the phone for being 'scared' when asking for directions #or that when they finally sent someone to the lot to talk to us it was just some guy in a car #who pulled up and told my mom to put her license info into his phone #on homer's forehead #tfw youre sobbing in a dark alley begging the tow guys to just stfu and give the car back because you're tired and had to put your cat down #and theyre laughing at you and yelling at you over it #just two women* outside in the dark with nothing but barbed wire and surly piece of shit men holding their only transportation hostage #btw my roommates boyfriend has reclaimed his car at 3am before and never had to scan his license ever #wonder why it was different for us! NOTE: This is mostly based off of the TV series canon by default. I can adjust to the video game canon if needed, I'm just not as readily familiar with it as the TV version.

AGE: Between 22 - 42 years old

OCCUPATION: Soldier (Army Pre-Day Zero, Firefly Post-Outbreak); Freelance

SETTING: Plotting-Dependent

September 26th, 2003 — Also known as Outbreak Day, the catastrophic events that lead to the end of the world on the day the Cordyceps fungal mutation reaches critical mass. Caleb is a survivor who witnessed the beginning of the outbreak as it unfolded across the world and plunged everything into chaos.

Still a young US Army soldier in the days before the military branch was fully absorbed into the Federal Disaster Response Agency (aka FEDRA), Caleb and the rest of his team were ordered to execute a group of civilian refugees in transport to the nearest Quarantine Zone in Los Angeles. Caleb refuses to comply with this unconscionable policy change and is threatened by another soldier to follow orders, face a court martial, or be shot along with the refugees for obstruction of an assigned military mission. Ultimately, the other soldier loses the standoff and is shot by another teammate to defend Caleb and the refugees, giving all of them a chance to flee.

When Marlene founds the Fireflies a short time later, Caleb is somewhat easily radicalized and inspired by the movement's persistent messages of hope and methods of anarchistic rebellion against FEDRA. He joins the cause to continue doing what he knows best— to fight for survival and freedom.

“We are in a war against a military dictatorship to restore democracy and freedom. Does that sound about right?”

“Yes?”

“Are we winning? Are we beating FEDRA here? Are the Fireflies beating FEDRA anywhere?”

“You fight for 20 years and get nowhere, you're not a rebellion. Just spray paint.”

“Rebellion takes time.”

2023 — 20 years down the line, Caleb has grown disillusioned with the Fireflies in general and starts to lose hope that they will ever change anything. When Marlene rallies together every soldier in the Boston QZ to leave and head out West, he decides to make his exit from the faction and find something real in the world beyond just survival.

Specifically for a variety of different type of skin tones.

Or even like explanations on scar colors?

Like dark colored scars versus light colored.

Preferably about those ghat last years if not for life?

(I'm trying to figure out the best way to make my character look a bit accurate in plushie form.)

#Maybe Randall... not gonna say.#anyways anyone got anything?#even if it's semi false I'll take it.#probably better than searching for answers #(all searches ended up being either not helpful or saying only that scars are bad and what not...)#I hate those things because I personally have scars for multiple different reasons and I love them and I don't like it when I see people #saying they will answer questions but also proceed to be hating on scars and only really trying to sell a product.#however I did find that apparently dark and medium skin tones are more likely to get dark scars than pale skin.#what even is a dark scar? I'm... not too sure? I really got mix information so yeah.#also burn marks... do they turn light after healing? or only some? are they even maybe pink? or different for different skin tones?#like seriously I dunno and the internet sucked and only gave me more questions.#I do know it tends to be most common for scars to be lighter. like two tones lighter.#however because of chemicals in the body and such #anyways I'm extremely confused and I would rather information before I start fully sewing up my plushies but if not then I may not make it #too accurate for my character. I’ve been waking up early. Around 5:30 in the morning my brain decides the sleep is over, even though it’s night outside. So I get up, and start doing chores, and I never want to turn on the light; it’s too jarring, makes my eyes hurt. Have you noticed how gentle the dawn is, in comparison? It comes around so slowly, making the light brighter only every other minute, so your eyes naturally adjust to it, and it’s painless, cheerful process of a waking day. And since it’s winter, the sky is absolutely beautiful at dawn. There’s pale blue and pastel pink in the distance, with transparent clouds glowing and making it look like a fairy tale page. I love watching the dawn break. A good thing about waking up early.

#if you're wondering how i'm doing chores in the dark #its because i just turn the light in another room #so i just have a little bit of it going thru the doorway #and it doesn't hurt my eyes but gives me enough info to do dishes and laundry #story #dawn

The God of Light Spirits and God of Dark Spirits (Info Dump)

Warnings: Violence, dark magic, gods, etc.

Valentine - The God of Light Spirits

Personality: He is Fleur and Ione's older twin brother. He is the one who learned how to generate light spirits and some of Fleur's magic because he, like his sister, was born with the capacity to summon light spirits and perform light magic. He is both fierce and compassionate. He's also quite affectionate and adoring. He adores his twin sisters and looks after them whenever possible. He strives hard to find Fleur and is frequently seen lamenting Ione. As a result of his upbringing and concern for his twin sister, he is exceedingly nice and sensitive. Children idolize him and want to be like him.

Appearance: He has brown hair and faded green eyes. He is a muscular person. He is 5'9".

Garlan - The God of Dark Spirits

Personality: He is the older twin brother of Fleur and Ione. Unlike Valentine, he deals with dark spirits and knows how to both stop and produce them. He was born with the ability to summon and use dark spirits. Garlan, in contrast to Valentine, is an extremely cold and unpleasant person. He frequently removes himself from people and appears to be in his own universe. He is a far more spiteful force than his sibling, but he maintains a silent calm and has a very calculated wrath. He has little patience for bullshit and holds a small grudge against Iyla and Pele for Ione's imprisonment despite understanding why.

Appearance: He has brown hair and faded green eyes. He is a muscular person. He is 6'1".
