Day 12: Favorite Ship

Tobias X Amarinda this is probably my favorite ship because falling in love freed them both. I think Tobias always saw himself as less, and indebted to Jaron after what happened in the false prince. But I think being with Amarinda sort of freed him. And being with him freed Amarinda. She realized she didn’t have to be tied to a fate that was chosen for her. She could make her own decisions, do what she wanted. She chose Tobias, instead of her arranged marriage with Darius.

But I also do really like Jaron X Roden. My post for tomorrow’s music day will have a duet with them...

One thing i wanted more of was jane strick, like more of a developed personality besides just being the enemy

poor roden, like all he wanted was to stay loyal to the throne, and despite him stepping down from captain bc he was in jarons shadow, he still wanted jaron the rule, also his small little crush, to bad she turned out to be the enemy

darius... well i absolutely hated him until he gives jaron the throne... ik ik it's like the last chap in the book when he does that... i just wished he longed for his brother as much as jaron did for more of the book, and if he did he did a horible job showing ittt

imogen talking about how she never really cared for girls who flirty with jaron was one of the best parts of the book :) but also when she said, "The very same girl who was kissing jarons cheek? I don't have to believe anything she says" was absolute GOLD

tobias... oML THE LOVE HE FEELS FOR AMARINDA 24/7 IN HERE, like when she first got captured and he calls out her name, or when he says the only thing he's thinking about is amarinda, or when he goes to set her free but roden finds him, or when he has that big fight with darius about how amarinda is betrothed to him now, not darius, or when he says it will be amarindas choice and well this line, "i love amarinda more than my life" just hits differentttt

and when jaron thought mott was going to betray him bc his love was serving darius was so freakin sad, but then trea aCUALLY STANDS UP FOR JARONNN like whattt?!? we stand trea x mott (trott or mea)

poor amarinda is literally in chains for THE ENTIRE BOOK and she bas no idea why until they use her against Darius

fink is probs the best character overall, still, i mean when he said he "learned some new words" was the best, or when he said he couldn't hate jaron bc he knew jaron wouldn't tell him everything anyway, or when he interrupted jarons and imogens kiss itv saying everyone could see them was amaZING, or when he ranted to darius about their bedroom situation, or DARIUSS AND HIS HUG MOMENT WAS AMAZING, him just hiding with the pirates in general gives me TRK vibes, and the list goes on and on

Jaron... omg i never though i would annoyed with him in my entire life but... here we are, him leaving amarinda on the ship was where i was annoyed the most, like that doesn't seem like him to do that, him and his stupid fights with roden made me PISSED for reasons i don't even know, like bro calm down no need to get so aggressive, and lastly when he told imogen it was his life and she was hurt it wasn't their life made me want to puke i was so mad at him, overall i just think he needs better listening skills and needs to learn he's not always right... but overall I LOVED HIM hahaha

ERICK DIES IN THE THIRD CHAP, like in two secs, snap ur ded, no dramatic death, no tears, just a sword and boom he's GONE
