I'm asking all the previous big time creators: Do you miss the BATMM fandom events in tumblr? Who made the events btw?

Like Darington December and Anna August?

Yeah, I kinda do, but I never did them due to not really having an interest. Sure, I helped ran them, but at the end of the day, it was really only Gia and Briar participating, hence why the tumblr events sort of stopped. The events were mainly come up with by the team of me, gato, briar, and gia, where we'd decide the character we wanted the month to focus on and the month. The whole purpose of it, at least in my opinion, was to sort of appreciate the underappreciated in the fandom, because everyone sort of drew the same three characters all the time (blaze, crusher, and pickle).

Darington December One-Shots 7: Gay

Darington sipped his hot cocoa in the park while he and Gasquatch hung out. It wasn’t a regular thing. Gasquatch coming to Axle City was rare. Oftentimes, he only comes to see Blaze. But today, he came to see Darington.

Gasquatch fumbled in his seat and hot cocoa and said, “I have something to ask…”

“Ask ahead,” Darington nodded. 

“Why are you gay?”

That made Darington spit out the drink he was drinking. He turned to Gasquatch and said, “e–excuse me? Who said I’m gay?”

Gasquatch hummed. He thought for a moment but he couldn’t name anyone who said Darington was gay. But he knows Darington is gay… So… 

He turned back to Darington, looking him straight in the eye, and said, “you are gay.”

Darington just burst out laughing. 

It seemed that Gasquatch only wanted to know how to tell someone is gay and if it was a choice because he was questioning his own sexuality. It took a while for Darington to calm down, but then he explained LGBTQIA+ to him, what it feels like, how to know if you are one, etc. Basic stuff.

It took two hours for Gasquatch to get it, before he said, “OOOOOOooooooooh! Now I get it.”

He pointed at himself with a smile and said, “I’m gay too!”

Darington laughed and then patted his back. “That’s great bud. Welcome to the gay club.”

“The gay club?”

Darington December One-Shots 6: Performance

“How does Zeg look?” Zeg asked, looking at the little mirror the stage crew had provided. He was wearing a black suit with a green bow tie around his neck and he nervously shifted the tie from one side to another.

A giggle came from his company and the tie was escorted back to the center. “You look fine,” Darington assured, kissing the dino hybrid’s cheek for comfort. “Great even! You have nothing to worry about.”

“But what if kids don’t like Zeg?” Zeg asked, looking at himself in the mirror. “Kids think… Zeg scary…”

“No, they won’t,” Darington said. “They’ll think you’ll do great!”

“Darington no know that,” Zeg countered. “Darington not even like kids!”

Darington huffed then crossed his tires. “Okay. You got me there. But you love kids. I’m sure they’ll love you too.” Darington patted his head with an affectionate smile and then said, “you’re great just the way you are. And just do your best. Because that’s the best anyone can do.”

Zeg sighed, leaning closer to Darington’s side. “Okay…”

Pickle came backstage with a smile and a clipboard. “Zeg! Darington!” he called. “You’re up next!”

Darington turned to Zeg with a confident grin and said, “ready, big guy?”

“As ready as Zeg will ever be,” Zeg nodded. 

Tire in tire, they went to the back of the curtain, and when their name was called, they gleefully went through the curtains with a smile. The audience of little children cheered for them, seeing an awesome dino hybrid and their favorite stunt truck come on stage.

The music started and Darington and Zeg began doing their tap-dancing entrance, going along with the tune while holding each other. Then they began to sing. 

Darington went first. “I really can’t stay…” Ever since he was little, Darington had singing lessons. He wasn’t the best at singing, but he could say he was decent, seeing that he receives praises for how clear his voice was.

“Baby, it’s cold outside.” Zeg’s voice was rich. Like chocolate made out of the best cocoa beans, perfect for cold days in winter. He had a deep baritone voice, in which he could reach lower notes with low difficulty, while Darington was a tenor. Even with the contrast of their voices, they sounded great together. 

“I’ve got to go away.” Darington danced to move slightly away from Zeg.

In return, Zeg went closer. “Baby, it’s cold outside.”

“This evening has been…”

“Hoping that you’d drop by.” Zeg lightly lifted Darington to the other side of the stage and Darington slid away. 

“So very, nice~”

Zeg went closer and held Darington’s tire. “I’ll hold your hands, they’re just like ice.”

The kids were enjoying their performance very much. They thought it was cute. And even the adults at the back enjoyed the show. It was rare to see Axle City’s Star sing, especially with a person like Zeg.

Darington moved away from Zeg, slowly letting go of his tire, and then shook it, like he was telling a child ‘no’, with a playful grin. “I ought to say no, no, no, sir.”

Zeg went closer. “Mind if I moved in closer?”

“At least I’m gonna say that I tried,” Darington sang as he twirled around and fell, being caught by Zeg.

With playful hurt, Zeg sang, “what’s the sense in hurting my pride?”

Darington got up and Zeg and he started dancing again. “I really can’t stay…”

“Baby, don’t hold out.”

And like the tap dancing they did in the beginning, they repeated it. They both sang, “baby, it’s cold outside.~”

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause and one even threw a rose. Darington caught it in his tires with a grin and then he turned to Zeg with an all-knowing smirk. “Told ‘ya.”

Zeg only laughed.

They took a final bow before going off stage.
