Hina naturally gets up early because of the sun, as much as she doesnt like it, but she will ALSO make Darcel suffer(/aff) and wake him up because if she doesn't he can, and will, sleep for the whole day because he prefers night

Hina and Darcel get parented by their parent and the others parent, probably

Darcel can and will bite/harm anyone who touches him that isn't Hina, Polaris and occasionally Simon

Hina and Simon treat Darcel like a particularly angry cat in the mornings

With my silly, titans the olympians think have faded but in reality have just been living their lives in a fancy fancy mansion acting like rich mortals, Hina and Darcel can, and will, cause problems on purpose (they chase each other around the mansion)

Hina probably took one look at Polaris and Simon and decided they were getting adopted into her friendgroup that consisted of Darcel

Darcel and Hina hurl insults at each other relentlessly and Polaris sometimes can't tell if its affectionate or not

Darcel is a daddys boy/neg and Hina is a daddys girl/pos

So! Darcel >:D he is ~20 in BoTL but he'd only be 19 when the book actually takes place because his birthday is in dec ldhkeuw

i will put a minor warning for child abuse, nothing goes into detail but it's talked about

His mother wasn't involved when he was younger because she didn't want to put him in danger with the whole half blood thing. She made sure he was safe but avoided actually appearing to him.

The relationship between his parents was similar to that of Zeus and Beyrl Grace, in the sense that she was actually present to him and then disappeared when Darcel was born. He'd adored Selene and when she left, he didnt take it well.

His father turned to alcohol and would take his anger out on Darcel. Eventually Selene just kinda...yoinked him. He stayed with her for a good few years until the Titan Army formed. While he was with his mom he met Hina Zhao, a daughter of Helios and later found himself meeting Polaris, a son of Asteria

He was also given a commander position, alongside Hina and Polaris >:D

Fun fact! Looking into his eyes for too long can make someone insane :D lunar madness >:3
