I am very much enjoying these chapters tbh, while not a huge amount of stuff is happening - we are learning quite a bit :D

First off with chapter 263, the popularity poll? 

I am actually genuinely surprised Charlotte is 3rd? Congrats to her! Still a bit put off by the fact Gauche is in the top 10 and all, will never understand that one. AND LEOOOOO!! Our boy finally got his time to shine in a popularity poll!! ❤

Nacht is actually becoming one of my top favourite characters really fast. Good to know that the fact he is a Devil host was unknown to even Julius... Jack knew him and he used to be in the Grey Deer with Yami? I really do want to know what happened between him becoming the VC of Black Bulls and this moment - especially given his line “That man is gone.” 

Clover was definitely lucky to of had someone spying on Spade; especially when he was able to gather so much information. Without him they’d have no time frame and details on exactly what they’re getting into battle wise. 

I think one of the things I love the most about this chapter are these panels in particular;

Then goes on being straightforward and honest about how he can’t beat the DT. Gotta say I am really impressed with how Nacht was introduced and how Tabata is portraying him, very enjoyable character so far and I really do look forward to seeing more of him as this arc progresses. 

Three days though? Sounds risky, short time to gather the right people... 

Chapter 264

Their double magics? Yeah, very cool and interesting! 

It’s very cool to see Yuno so determined and also amusing seeing Jack being so savage to him 😂 Then Fuegoleon trying to make him feel better by saying protecting Clover is also a very important mission 🤣

It surprised me that Yuno straight out just said that he was apparently the Prince of Spade too. I was expecting that to be something he kept to himself, but I guess when Nacht asks just like that there is not beating around the bush without looking sus. 

I love how Nozel’s reaction to that is just “Oh, he’s royal. That explains his magic.” Boy, that’s your first thought? Lmao!

Showing us the fight in Vangeance’s POV was a good thing too, it shows why exactly he lost. Like Julius - he was prioritizing his squad and protecting them over his self. Good to also see that Zenon was using his Devil’s power to fight him too, I was just under the assumption he owned the poor guy no issue - I think a lot of people did tbh. 

Bell storing up mana too? I am definitely looking forward to seeing what that will bring later on. 

So Nacht has two days to train Asta and to come up with a plan? Man, the guy is really doing his part. I am sure he’ll be coming up with who will be best to go against both magics for the Triad members, perfectly formed squads to back each other up and be able to counter Vanica, Zenon and Dante. Why do I get the feeling that Yuno and Jack will end up put together? lol.

I think one thing I am hoping and looking forward to the most this arc is Jack? Like it’s about time this dude finally gets some spotlight and backstory going on. 

That ending though. THE ELVES!! Their markings are back? That confuses me a bit... I wonder why? Patri gonna wanna be apart of the action when he finds out about William for sure! I didn’t really like how he was left off at the end of the last arc, so I hope he gets some sort of redemption this coming battle with Spade. 

As spoilers have come out, I won’t really say much... I was hoping to avoid them this week, but some people 😒 Either way, the next chapter will be dropping in about 5 hours or so!

Hacking the ICO: How Greed Defeats the Industry ICO watch In the last few months the ICO hype has led to exponential growth in the number of companies and entrepreneurs who wish to create it. Nowadays from 30-50 offerings are being announced for launch on a daily basis. And this growth is only gaining momentum. Several thousand offerings are scheduled for Spring 2018. The offerings are being conducted both by clear Blockchain-based projects with related IT projects and a traditional business industry that views tokenization not only as a new opportunity for capital-raising but also optimization of its services. Whitepaper by SMS Crypto veterans and sudden bloated crypto funds can hardly puzzle out in such a chaotic stream. The crypto community no longer reads the limitless whitepapers they have switched to so-called three or even one-page teasers and this is not a limit yet. One major venture capitalist from Singapore asked me to send him my project description by SMS! Everyday crypto pioneers and opinion leaders receive hundreds of offers to participate as advisers. Many of them can hardly remember in what projects they are key pushers. Advisers are often unfamiliar with the core of the projects and even with their neighbors on the landing pages. Certainly it does not even come to any real mentorship or valuable advice. Many projects like to think that landing pages decorated with star advisors give power to their ICOs but buying advisors face-masks to put them on ones website has become a service a long time ago. Crypto funds myth It is both mantra and myth at the same time. Everyone is talking about them but no one sees them. No one sees them but everyone trusts in them. Some are lucky to meet them somehow. And that is how legends and myths are born. There is a visible part of an iceberg a series of public funds with some successful investments but they are probably not true crypto whales rather first renegades from VC industry with similar approaches and techniques. Ones application can hang up for months in the hands of analysts in some crypto funds of this kind. Secret funds There is also an underwater part of the iceberg. Most people see it as a mysterious miners syndicate operating with millions of Bitcoins and Ethers the real guys from crypto-world being both carriers of financial leverage operations to all start-ups and the bearers of the main thing the ideology of crypto. The one that was introduced by Satoshi and later taken up and developed by Vitalik. The Ideology of Freedom. The ideology in which peer-to-peer is not merely reduced to an abbreviation for p2p but keeps its meaning of the environment where everyone is important and everything matters. The ideology with no boundaries no evil firewall of banks stock exchanges legal firms rating agencies and other transactional consultants. Those funds do exist; they are not public but they can be found if needed. Sometimes they are the individuals who pioneered the crypto economy. They were the ones who used to mine Bitcoins with a few cents price and then created wallets with tens of thousands of Bitcoins but losing keys afterwards. They made joke currency like Dogecoin for fun which later came to cost hundreds of millions of dollars. Each start-up business is dreaming of making a pitch for such a fund. But they observe the hype cautiously having in mind that no reflux can be avoided and that is the very beginning. The cryptocurrency should go through childhood illnesses to develop its immunity. Virus of hype Hype is a virus defeating the ideology. It creates the imbalance which crypto ideology should fight against. The hype highlighted the ugliest side of any ICO its greed or rather: Greed. Dante Alighieri In todays ICO market greed plays the first violin conducting and soloing simultaneously. Driven by greed major speculative crypto funds began to call themselves smart investors and tailor the ICO market to match their own interests. These new crypto funds start any talk with startups with arrogance. If they are interested in a project they demand such terms and conditions that founders in order to fulfil them have to lie to dumb investors sneering at them. Receiving a 3x return on their investments in a few months from capital raised to conduct an ICO these smart investors look more like cheaters. These are the rules of the game created by such crypto funds and are supported by transactional consultants. Those projects which do not agree with the rules or do not wish to pay consultants for buzz and marketing will be lost in the sea of many other projects. Your super-idea or know-how will simply be not heard. Nowadays direct costs for ICO advertising and marketing start from $500000. This does not include acclaimed consultant fees and stars on the landing page. These expenses do not create value they are not invested in other projects or spent for charity they are simply cash burning. Perhaps it is hard to imagine how Vitalik Buterin spends $500000 to hype his smart contract protocol but some guys are searching for funding for their new protocols right now. ICO Hardfork? The Blockchain is like a genome with all operations recorded. The reading of the genome gives a lot of information and Blockchain projects are the way to somehow utilize this knowledge. ICOs are one way to make Blockchain viral. ICOs are like a high-speed highway with a high toll fee. Before entering it you have to pass endless traffic jams sometimes without enough fuel to pass through. Yet there are other ways to reach your destination. Why not map up the new roads create your own junctions and intersections? Just like ICO challenged IPO the time for new protocols is coming challenging ICOs as we know it.  Happy Family Day. Some folks will have this day off but it's too bad that the warm weather has forced the Rideau Canal Skateway to close down. I walked by it yesterday on my urban hike and it was a stretch of puddles. It was a beautiful warm sunny day as I walked home along Bank Street from Waverley to just south of Heron Road lugging a bunch of books that I borrowed from my partner Chris. It was so nice that not even an oblivious driver splashing me head to toe could wipe the smile off of my face for long.

 Gamora #3 - Nicole Perlman (writer) Marco Checchetto (art) Andres Mossa (colours) VC's Travis Lanham (letters). Nicole pulls out a deus ex machina to make me want to read the next issue. So now Gamora has something in common with L'Wit, the last member of the Badoon Royal Family. Made me wonder if Gamora will let the princess live. We'll see.

 Super Sons #1 - Peter J. Tomasi (writer) Jorge Jimenez (art) Alejandro Sanchez (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). I would have called this new book World's Tweenest. I was happy to see this team-up of Damian Wayne/Robin and Jonathan Kent/Superboy hit the racks because I'm a fan of Peter's stint on Batman and Robin. The first two pages piqued my curiosity before showing us what trouble the two boys have gotten themselves into. I was still wondering what those first two pages were about by the time I got to the last page uh-oh moment. I hope this doesn't wind up with Batman and Superman coming to the rescue. That would disappoint me. I really like these two kids and hope they have a long run.

 Cerebus in Hell? #1 - Dave Sim (writer) Gustave Dore (pencils) Dante Alighieri (inks) Sandeep Atwal (colours) Dave Sim (letters). I moved to Vancouver in late 1979 and one of the first comic books that I bought at The Comicshop was Cerebus #1. I remember picking it off the spinner rack and looking at that red cover with Cerebus drawn like Conan by Dave Sim. I sold my copy years later to a kid from Gibsons during the counterfeit Cerebus number ones scams. My big selling point was that it was authentic and probably one of the very few copies that Dave Sim had not autographed. I faithfully read every issue of Cerebus until the book got too political for me even though I loved Dave and Gerhard's art. I never did finish the run. Here we have Cerebus back on the racks forty years after issue #1 hit and Dave uses Gustav's Dante's Inferno prints with Cerebus superimposed to tell some jokes. I kind of snickered once. There are three more issues to come out and I will read those too just to support poor old Dave.

 Mighty Thor #16 - Jason Aaron (writer) Russell Dauterman (art) Matthew Wilson (colours) VC's Joe Sabino (letters). Part two of "The Asgard/Shi'Ar War" had Thor being challenged by the Shi'Ar gods Sharra and K'ythri and the Asgardian Bor being challenged by the Lady Sif. I love the massive scale of Jason's stories in this book. It's befitting a comic book about mythical gods. Russell's art is just beautiful to behold.

 Batwoman #1 - Marguerite Bennett  & James Tynion IV (writer) Steve Epting (art) Jeromy Cox (colours) Deron Bennett (letters). This is a fantastic first issue introducing the hero to fans old and new. If you've been reading the latest Detective Comics you'll already know what Kate Kane is up to but still the last page surprised me. This new Bat book is going on my "must read" list.

 Kill or be Killed #6 - Ed Brubaker (writer) Sean Phillips (art) Elizabeth Breitweiser (colours). Quite a clever way that Ed came up with for Dylan to deal with the surprise of being seen by the police. I like how the dominoes are being set up for them to eventually fall all over Dylan's life.

 Monsters Unleashed #3 - Cullen Bunn (writer) Leinil Francis Yu (pencils) Gerry Alanguilan & Michael Jason Paz (inks) David Curiel (colours) VC's Travis Lanham (letters). Well then, that explains everything. We find out why monsters are falling from the sky and given a hint to how the heroes are going to save the planet. The Inhumans play a big part in the plot.

 Batman #17 - Tom King (writer) David Finch (pencils) Danny Miki (inks) Jordie Bellaire (colours) John Workman (letters). How the heck did Damian, Dick and Jason wind up there? I hate when stuff isn't explained from one issue to the next. In part 2 of "I Am Bane" Batman finds out that he can't protect everyone he cares for when Bane gets to Gotham City. The bad guy wants the Psycho Pirate back and he will stop at nothing to achieve that goal. This is intense.

 Wild Storm #1 - Warren Ellis (writer) John Davis-Hunt (art) Ivan Plascencia (colours) Simon Bowland (letters). We haven't seen these Wildstorm characters on the racks for quite a while now so it's okay for Warren to take them and make them into something new. I used to be a big fan of Jim Lee's line of comic books so all these people seem familiar but they have been changed enough to make me interested to see how different they are. I would describe this book as corporate warfare. I want to see how the good guys and bad guys shake out so I'm going to keep reading.

 Doctor Strange #17 - Jason Aaron (writer) Frazer Irving (art) VC's Cory Petit (letters). This is an issue of "Where's Wong?". The inscrutable manservant is missing and the sanctum is in disarray. Poor Steve is worried sick.

 Superman #17 - Peter J. Tomas & Patrick Gleason (writers) Sebastian Fiumara (art) Dave Stewart (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). This is a great one issue story but Superman fans may be disappointed because the big guy isn't in it. Young Jonathan Kent helps his friend Kathy look for her grandpa in Deadman's Swamp. Boston Brand does not show up but something spooky this way comes. I really like Jon and I'm glad they feature him solo every now and then. I don't think that he should have his own book though, but I won't be surprised to see DC put out a Superboy comic book on the racks some day.

 Clone Conspiracy #5 - Dan Slott (writer) Jim Cheung (pencils) John Dell, Jay Leisten & Jim Cheung (inks) Justin Ponsor (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). "Dead No More" ends with some of the bad guys alive no more. Sure as web shootin' Peter and Anna save the day. Now we'll see what the fallout to the Jackal's nefarious scheme will be.

 Invincible Iron Man #4 - Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Stefano Caselli (art) Marte Gracia (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). This is a super fantastic all out action issue with Riri and Pepper Potts fighting Tomoe the Techno Golem and her ninjas. The bad guy is an Inhuman who can take over tech and she has control of both girls' armour. This issue goes a mile a minute but it's paced so well that you don't feel like you got ripped off with a five minute read. Stefano draws the best eyes.

 Punisher #9 - Becky Cloonan (writer) Matt Horak (art) Frank Martin (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). Here's another comic book where the star is hardly in it. This issue features DEA agent Ortiz and the bad guy Face. I'm excited for the next issue because Frank goes to Canada, our home and native land.

 Spider-Man #13 - Brian Michael Bendis (writer) Sara Pichelli (art) Justin Ponsor (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). We find out more about what happened in Spider-Gwen's dimension in "Sitting in a Tree" part 3. The suspense would normally be killing me but Miles is telling the story to Ganke and Fabio so we know that he's okay. I still want to know if he and Earth-65 Gwen have a thing. This is turning out to be a major crossover with Spider-Gwen so I will be reading the next two issues of that book to get the full story. As Brian is fond of making his characters say, "aargg!".

             There is a perturbing presence making its way towards Dantes, and it doesn´t take long for the count to feel a... strange vibe, as if someone was standing right behind him, yet to his poor luck, he fails to turn around fast enough and in result, a LOUD laugh catches him off guard from behind his ear;

"----What!!??" He yells as he jumps a little on his seat. Who in the world was the bastard who came to scream right to his ear!? Holding onto his hat, he quickly turns around, ready to scold at the insolent who dared wake him up from his train of thought, only to spot none other than a----

            ----puppet?

It was a puppet....Who oddly---- resembled him...But that wasn´t important! if there was a puppet, there was an owner, and upon raising his angered gaze, he met none other than that annoyingly obnoxious assassin---- Didn´t he have anyone to tell him that he was annoying!? Was everyone that afraid to confront this individual?

"YOU!" Now he got up from his bench as he angrily yanked the puppet away from Yan Qing´s hand and squished it tightly with his right hand before flipping it over his shoulder; "What is your problem! SPEAK!"

Ohhh boy.

First of all… Asta’s Devil absolutely losing his mind and is completely enraged? That is so exciting to me, I really wanna know more about this particular Devil and just get so hyped whenever he appears and speaks!! Why is he so mad? What did Lucifero or the other Devil do to him to make him so mad and bloodthirsty?? 

Also… Dante? Second type of magic?? What’s going on there buddy? He seems as if he didn’t want to use this magic… is it his own magic? Is it something he can use thanks to the Devil or is the Gravity magic we’ve been seeing this whole time thanks to Lucifero? But the man is recovered and seems to be going nuts now, I don’t see this going well for the Bulls at all from this point on…

The little look into Dante’s past we got was interesting though, he said he was bored… Tired of his way of life - I am guessing he was strong even before the Devil’s came along. Grew tired of the peaceful Spade Kingdom, which lead to the Coup and the massacre of Yuno’s family. I have to say… seeing Yuno’s father on the ground like that was a bit unsettling… 

Now the absolutely terrifying thing?? The Dark Triads goal. 

“This guy knows about Vangeance too?!” This makes me believe that the attack on Golden Dawn is in fact happening at the same time and William was at that meeting, meaning what they were talking about was unrelated. At least we have some sort of timeline here, which is good to know. 

But William and Yami… I remember talking about how William’s World Tree magic could be used in order to go to the “other” world? I don’t know if it was here or not. But I guess we were right about that one, we just didn’t know that Yami’s Dark magic was essential to make that happen. Does make me wonder how they’ll force Yami and William to do such a thing in the first place though. 

Now why do they want this? Having the Devil’s free roaming around the land? Dante and the others are too far gone at this point, why exactly would the world being littered with Devil’s be a good thing? Something to crave? 

You do you Yami… Try your best to take him down here… But I don’t think that will happen. Good luck with that sir.

NOW FOR THE HYPE!!

NEW BLACK BULL CHARACTER!! With rather interesting and amazing magic from what we were able to see so far too!!?? 

Basically everyone at this point believes that this is the mysterious Vice Captain of the Black Bulls that we have yet to meet, but know exists thanks to one of Tabata’s interviews:

This was a couple years ago? But at least we know that Tabata has been thinking about them and wanting to bring them into the story. 

Now if this character we saw is the VC, then it’d really explain their absence in the story. They’re a spy. Yami mentioned much earlier in the story that he had members that were either “On break, slacking off or on missions.” 

Given what we saw they could do with their magic - they’d no doubt be amazing at being a spy, so I can imagine them being sent out on a lot of recon. Basically never being around; a valuable asset to Clover in their information gathering. This person was just straight up in Dante’s room. I am sure that what they bring back to Clover Kingdom will be helpful and I do wonder if they’ll have more on their plans other than what Dante just straight up spilled to the present BB members. 

Hopefully they’ll have numbers and what exactly they are dealing with for the upcoming battle between the Kingdoms. 

I definitely look forward for the upcoming chapter this week, I am not quite sure what to expect… I’m a bit nervous though, not sure why and what for exactly.

Chapter 235

This was alright, nice to know how much of Megicula’s power they can use - makes Zeno seem all the more frightening; it also makes me more curious on Dante and Vanica’s potential output. 

The fact that William is standing back at first not doing anything at all kinda got to me? Like his members are being attacked in a different section of HQ but he waits for Alecdora to get owned in front of him before even thinking of doing anything? 

Good to know it was William they wanted - makes me curious on just what his World Tree magic can do and what uses it may have for Spade Kingdom and their goals.

Yuno also getting fired up at the end there for his squad, kinda makes me happy? Like the fact that he seems to have actually expanded his heart for others is a nice feeling.

Chapter 236

I’ve had my issues with Yuno as of late as you guys may have noticed, but I did actually like this chapter. 

His squad finally accepting him, opening their arms to him. Not actually getting mad over him being VC after a short service in comparison to them - David seems like a nice guy and seems like that slightly older friend that’d drag him around for fun? I really hope David will live cause he seems like a fun character.

Yuno a Zero Stage? Not surprising at all, to be expected I guess. 

This guy I don’t even care to remember the name of, I find it somewhat amusing yet sad that he’s spoken of Ciel like that - right in front of Yuno. Hearing it from an enemies perspective rather than someone like Ralph who was a follower probably helps him get a feel for what his birth parents were like.

He seems determined by the end to put a stop of the whole thing. Helping put an end to the Spade Kingdoms corruption? Not because he’s a knight or the Prince of said country, but because he just doesn’t agree with it and wants it to be shutdown.

I do have to say I am just happy with him. He’s seeing others as comrades, friends possibly even. He has people outside of Asta that he can smile for and that’s a relief - must have been really lonely with Asta in another country and even before then in another squad when most of his life he was surrounded by family constantly.

Chapter 237

Another person with Mist Magic? Nebra what are you doing? Your magic could be something awesome. 

I got worried when Yuno showed up, but I am glad that Klaus and Letoile were the ones to end the fight and land the last blow - in a rather cool and interesting way I might add.

And just damn. William got messed up! Sad to say that my disappointment in William just seems to keep rising as time moves on. I get Zeno is meant to be this terrifying threat, he took out a lot of Diamond on his own and even has such a high amount of Megicula’s power...

But William was meant to be the next Wizard King. Since his debut he was meant to be this strong Captain that deserved a high amount of respect. Yet it doesn’t even seem like he laid a hand on that guy at all? Back in the Diamond invasion arc in Kiten - Lotus was about to land a blow on him if Yami hadn’t shown up. I’m just getting the impression he’s not exactly one for combat, lmao.

Also yes, about no one showing up to Golden Dawn base to assist. Yuno was all the way in Hage when the attack started. I am not quite sure where in Clover the Golden Dawn base is but the fact that Yuno beat literally anyone there from Hage is a bit odd. Why has no other squad arrived to help? I am curious enough to know how Zeno and his squad got to the HQ so quietly as well? 

Golden Dawn could definitely use some help right now and I do wonder if someone will arrive in the next chapter to do so.
