There are food memories buried so deeply in your heart that simply one taste can bring back your entire childhood. This is one of mine. #danishdessert our mother used to make it all of the time, mounding fresh strawberries, blackberries and blueberries into a pie using this glaze and a buttery graham cracker crust, or simply serving it as my sister @ellensalk did here, with fresh whipped cream . I found two boxes yesterday at @heinens and took her one of them. I was sitting outside talking with my nephew @salkmj and she came racing out with these two spoons. I wolfed it down like a child and begged her for a bowl of it which I don’t even think I chewed. It was intense and extraordinary pleasure, yet so utterly simple. Everyone has one food like this that makes you feel loved and happy, totally satiated....the flavor that brings back “Mom”.
