Official Report on The Intransitionalist Chronotopologies of Kenji Siratori (TRS 109)

YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE INEFFABLE FOREST
youtube
Official Report on The Intransitionalist Chronotopologies of Kenji Siratori: Appendix 8.2.3 is a xenopoetic data/dada anthology that documents the activities of the artist collective The Ministry of Transrational Research into Anastrophic Manifolds. The anthology results from an experimental approach to impersonal literary composition. Similar to surrealist definitions, but on the scale of a technical document, members of the Ministry—poets, musicians, novelists, painters, curators, artists, scientists, philosophers, and physicians—were asked to offer a microfiction, poem, essay, fictional citation, or computer code, in the form of a footnote or annotation to a glitch-generated novel by iconoclastic Japanese artist Kenji Siratori; however, each participant wrote their contribution without any access to or knowledge about the nature of Siratori’s source text. After collecting the contributions, the “footnotes” were each algorithmically linked to an arbitrary word from Siratori’s novel. The result is a work of xenopoetic emergence: a beautifully absurd, alien document scintillating with strange potency. Bringing together algorithmically and AI-generated electronic literature with analogue collage and traditional modes of literary composition, the Ministry refuses to commit solely to digital, automated, or analogue art and instead seeks technological mutualism and a radically alien future for the arts. Accompanied by a groundbreaking original score by electro-acoustic duo Wormwood, the anthology offers the radical defamiliarization and weird worlds of science fiction, but now the strangeness bites back on the level form. Readers should expect to discover strange portals from which new ways of thinking, feeling, and being emerge. A conceptual and experimental anthology, Official Report on The Intransitionalist Chronotopologies of Kenji Siratori inaugurates collective xenopoetic writing and the conceit that the future of art will consist of impersonal acts of material emergence, not personal expression. Consume with caution.

TIMELINE: CROWNS AND SHIT, MEDIEVAL EDITION, IN COLLABORATION WITH @DESPITERAGE, @RUINAA, @WITHBEASTS (and a @muckcourt cameo)
House Hayes rules the Coeus Kingdom. Coeus is notable for its advanced military strategy, weaponry, and other scientific discoveries. Instead of worshiping the predominant religious system, residents revere King Richard Hayes and his advisors: Erik Eriksson, Max Theyer, etc.
House Knight rules the illegitimate Knight Kingdom. Knight broke off from the Silisco Kingdom—which has been ruled for generations by the Romano family (despiterage)—when Idris had a disagreement with religious leadership. He does his own thing now in once-unconquered territory. Those who followed him are now mostly poor farmers.
House Glass existed within the Silisco Kingdom. Kieran Glass, the patriarch, worshiped a minority religion devoted to creatures thought mythical or extinct. He engaged in ritualistic sacrifices. He was known for stealing young girls away from their families and other loved ones. He is killed by Lady Ruin (ruinaa).
GENERATION ZERO
RICHARD HAYES is the King of Coeus. He is revered like a god. He is obsessed with progress, science, advancement, etc. He has one daughter, Princess Juniper, who becomes Queen and ruler of Coeus when Richard and his wife die of old age.
IDRIS KNIGHT is the King of Knight (he is not very creative). He worships an offset of the majority religion. He has three children (Mackenzie, Elijah, and Shipley [muckcourt]) and has not yet named a successor.
MAX THEYER is a friend of House Hayes, advisor to the King. Scientific mastermind obsessed with progress, perfection, and immortality. His death is unexplained.
ERIK ERIKSSON is a friend of House Hayes, advisor to the King. Scientific mastermind obsessed with progress, perfection, and what happens when we die. Seen as eccentric and foolish. His death is unexplained. He is succeeded by one daughter, Spirit.
GENERATION ONE
JUNIPER HAYES is the only daughter of Richard Hayes. Heir to the throne. Her reign is notable for its deviation from her father’s cruelty and strictness, though she is still devoted to scientific progress. She has two children with two different men, neither of whom remain as King Consort. Her eldest son’s father is [banished/executed] when caught with a friend of Queen Juniper’s, Spirit Erikdottir.
HARRIS HARRIS is a mercenary and vandal, the leader of an elaborate network of criminal insurrectionists. Sentenced to execution when he attempts to destroy one of the nascent research facilities started by the King, Harris flees Coeus. His whereabouts are currently unknown, though rumors of his network expanding to Silisco have spread. (Secretly, he does King Daniel Romano’s dirty work.)
SPIRIT ERIKDOTTIR is the daughter of Erik Eriksson. She grew up surrounded by Coeus nobility as a friend to Princess Juniper. Rumors spread of her strange connection to the dead and dying; she is thought to be demonic. Princess Juniper defends her, especially after the unexplained death of Erik. However, Spirit is banished from Coeus when she attempts to seduce Juniper’s lover. She is saved from starvation by the knight Lady Ruin and taken to Silisco. At an event honoring all the kingdom’s knights, Spirit meets and falls for King Daniel (despiterage). They marry and have a daughter, Stella.
BURNS ERIKSSON is the son of Erik Eriksson. Rumors spread of his potentially demonic nature and criminal connections. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
KIERAN GLASS is dead. Thank you Lady Ruin.
MACKENZIE KNIGHT and ELIJAH KNIGHT, along with their brother Shipley Knight, are engaged in a tense succession struggle over the kingdom of Knight.
GENERATION TWO
STELLA ROMANO is the daughter of Queen Spirit and King Daniel Romano. Like her father, she seems to have been blessed-cursed with strange abilities. She is gentle and artistic; she yearns for her step-brother Vincent’s (despiterage) approval. Recently, she has gotten close with a knight from House Bragin (withbeasts) “to ease tensions between Houses Bragin and Romano” (the knight is cute).
DAVY HAYES is the eldest son of Queen Juniper. He has no relationship with his father. He is set to inherit the Coeus Kingdom. He is kind, blunt, and protective.
PHOEBE HAYES is the eldest daughter of Queen Juniper. She and her father are intelligent and reclusive. She will inherit her father’s territory.
CULLEN GLASS is the only claimed son of Kieran Glass. He lives an isolated life on the outskirts of thalassinus (land of House Bragin [withbeasts]).
ARIA is the daughter of Rhett Wiseman (despiterage) and an unknown mother. Her propensity for violence and ruin, as well as her father’s own nature, turned her into an outcast. Her regenerative abilities and blood witchcraft garnered the attention of King Daniel. Her whereabouts are generally unknown; death follows wherever she goes.

I wrote my first-ever piece of fanfic for the beautiful, self-published Outlaws of Avalon trilogy by Danielle E. Shipley (it was a horribly tropey introductory short for a self-insert AU OC I created with the author’s enthusiastic blessing). It was all of 5 pages, and a little shy of 3,500 words, but I had a ton of fun writing it.
Last week, the author herself honored me with a read-aloud of my little fic (complete with all the proper voices) in front of another mutual friend and fan of the series, and welp, my 5 page ficlet took her all of 70 MINUTES TO READ BECAUSE WE WERE LAUGHING SO HARD AND GETTING SO MANY COMMENTS AND ASIDES FROM THE CHARACTER PEANUT GALLERY
It was the best of times, and honestly, moments like these are some of the only things helping me get through the week, these days.

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - First National Tour - September 29, 2015 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: John Rapson (The D'Ysquith Family), Kevin Massey (Monty Navarro), Kristen Beth Williams (Sibella Hallward), Adrienne Eller (Phoebe D'Ysquith), Mary VanArsdel (Miss Marietta Shingle), Kristen Mengelkoch (Lady Eugenia D'Ysquith and others), Christopher Behmke (Magistrate/Actor/Mr. Gorby), Matt Leisy (Tom Copley/Newsboy/Actor/Guard), Megan Loomis (Tour Guide/Newsboy), Ben Roseberry (Chief Inspector Pinckney/Newsboy/Actor), Lesley McKinnell (Miss Evangeline Barley and others) NOTES: Beautiful capture of the tour which launched in Chicago. There's tiny bits of washout when the camera is in wideshot due to the spotlights of the stage. Terrific cast and a wonderful tour of this production! A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - First National Tour - April 24, 2016 (SJ Bernly's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: John Rapson (The D'Ysquith Family), Kevin Massey (Monty Navarro), Kristen Beth Williams (Sibella Hallward), Adrienne Eller (Phoebe D'Ysquith), Mary VanArsdel (Miss Marietta Shingle), Megan Loomis (u/s Lady Eugenia D'Ysquith and others), Christopher Behmke (Magistrate/Actor/Mr. Gorby), Matt Leisy (Tom Copley/Newsboy/Actor/Guard), Ben Roseberry (Chief Inspector Pinckney/Newsboy/Actor), Lesley McKinnell (Miss Evangeline Barley and others) NOTES: A great capture of the tour. The cast is solid, and the audience is energetic. There are no blackouts, no obstruction, and no washout. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, John and Kevin’s BC/EFA speech, and playbill scans. A+ Gentlemen Prefer Blondes - Encores! - May 12, 2012 FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Megan Hilty (Lorelei Lee), Rachel York (Dorothy Shaw), Aaron Lazar (Henry Spofford), Steven Boyer (Pierre/Louis Lemanteur), Brennan Brown (Steward/Mr. Robert Lemanteur/Gus Esmond Sr.), Stephen Buntrock (Josephus Gage), Simon Jones (Sir Francis Beekman), Deborah Rush (Mrs. Ella Spofford), Sandra Shipley (Lady Phyllis Beekman), Megan Sikora (Gloria Stark), Clarke Thorell (Gus Esmond Jr.) NOTES: Filmed from the back of the balcony. Many heads appear in the frame to start, then when the filmer gets his bearings, the video improves greatly. There are a few times (mostly at the beginning) when the filmer replaces some poor video moments with still shots. These still shots are less than 2 or 3 minutes of the entire show. Overall, a great video, and Megan Hilty is amazing Ghost: The Musical - Berlin - June, 2018 (Rumpel's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Nikolas Heiber (u/s Sam Wheat), Willemijn Verkaik (Molly Jensen), Marion Campbell (Oda Mae Brown), Andreas Bongard (Carl Bruner), Mischa Kiek (Willie Lopez), Nicolas Christahl (Subway Ghost), Klaus Seiffert (Hospital Ghost), Chasity Crisp (Clara), Denise Lucie Aquino (Louise) NOTES: Very Limited trades 3:1 Ghost: The Musical - Broadway - July 28, 2012 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Richard Fleeshman (Sam Wheat), Caissie Levy (Molly Jensen), Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Oda Mae Brown), Bryce Pinkham (Carl Bruner), Michael Bladerrama (Willie Lopez), Tyler McGee (Subway Ghost) NOTES: Great HD capture of the show toward the end of the run. This is a great capture compared the previous one from March, with the changes that were made from the previews and with the original Oda Mae Brown. Despite what the reviews said, this is one show I thoroughly enjoyed and wish it had a better life on Broadway as it deserved! A- Recording with mostly zooms and a few wide shots. Great views of the effects. A Google Drive link is floating around that contains the wrong VOBs for Act 1-3 and Act 2-2; make sure you get everything! Ghost: The Musical - Hamburg - January 13, 2019 (Closing Night) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Riccardo Greco (Sam Wheat), Roberta Valentini (Molly Jensen), Marion Campbell (Oda Mae Brown), John Vooijs (Carl Bruner), Mischa Kiek (Willie Lopez), Marius Bingel (Subway Ghost), Alex Bellinkx (Hospital Ghost), Enny de Alba (Clara), Tamara Wörner (Louise) NOTES: Poor picture Quality, no zoom but captures all action and great sound Ghost: The Musical - Hamburg - January, 2019 FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Riccardo Greco (Sam Wheat), Roberta Valentini (Molly Jensen), Marion Campbell (Oda Mae Brown), John Vooijs (Carl Bruner), Mischa Kiek (Willie Lopez), Marius Bingel (Subway Ghost), Alex Bellinkx (Hospital Ghost), Enny de Alba (Clara), Tamara Wörner (Louise) NOTES: Filmed from first row.
Happy birthday to The Author! In honor of the day, here's a performance of her favorite song from "The Legend of Allyn-a-Dale". (Which, if you haven't bought/read/reviewed it yet, would make an excellent birthday gift. ^o^)

More D.E. Shipley fanart! These pieces were inspired by characters from Shipley's Wilderhark Tales novellas. The Author then staged the figurines with shots of their stories to create a set of promotional postcards! Don't they look sharp? I'm such a fangirl for this series...
