something I’ve been thinking abt is how many people think Makoto is immune to despair. I don’t think he is. I think becoming the ultimate Hope was BECAUSE he felt despair. He wouldn’t have fully reached that point without Junko. Makoto becoming such a beacon was his last attempt to avoid completely falling and it wasn’t because he didn’t feel despair, it was because he was too damn stubborn to allow everything to go to waste and he refused to sacrifice his beliefs for someone else’s. His inner monologue tells me he DID experience the same new low the other suvivors did in the final trial, but at the point where he had the choice to give up and die, he looked at the others and he looked at Junko and he couldn’t allow it to happen, not out of self preservation, but because the idea that Junko would have control over their lives made him FURIOUS. and that utter refusal to die kicked in, wether luck or otherwise, and he made the concious effort for one last push while something in him was breaking. He had to be broken in order for the Ultimate Hope to come through so aggressively, bc it could only exist in the face of the Ultimate Despair. He snapped the same way she did, but in the other direction. In what could have been his final moments he chose to embody everything Junko wasn’t, and every single optimistic and luck fueled ideal in him suddenly charged forward and pushed him. It was a combination of the final straw and a choice. Makoto isn’t immune to feeling despair, he’s just too stubborn to fall into it of his own volition. I think that’s why I like that scene in DR3 so much. People were SO SHOCKED Makoto actually fell for the tape, that he actually became despair for a moment. I saw people getting mad or disappointed, saying it was pathetic and Makoto seemed to fall from some sort of pedestal for them. Honestly part of me wonders if that sort of mentality, which clearly people had in universe, affected Makoto a bit. Like he started to see himself as less of a person, subconsciously. Prompting him to take more risks, less self preservation, act way more bold. It seems he has to be reminded a lot not to put himself in danger by his friends, to not do something too reckless. All over the place I would see in regards to that scene either this frivolous ‘oh this was just angst drama with no meaning behind it’ or ‘he can do better than that. he’s so weak’ or ‘come on, there’s no way he’d fall into despair, he’s the Ultimate Hope!’ This kind of mentality, which was kind of ironic considering Ryota was there the entire time saying the same thing and treating Makoto the same way. Like Makoto was superhuman. Like Makoto didn’t feel despair the same way ‘normal people’ did. In a way that was also how Munakata saw Makoto. Makoto stopped being a PERSON to the world when he became Ultimate Hope, he became a concept, a belief system, much the same way Junko ascended beyond herself. But the difference is that treating Makoto that way is the opposite of the reason Makoto became such a representative for hope. He wasn’t doing something no one else could. He was doing something everyone had the chance to, he just… was a little more optimistic, a little more stubborn, a little more ‘gung-ho’ about things. He just took the lead where no one else did, where no one else knew they even COULD in the face of Junko’s unstoppable force. She had overcome the biggest threats and obstacles in the world, what could one person do? And the answer Makoto found was, anything. Everything. It doesn’t all rest on Makoto, he’s just the one that was inspired to try to do what seemed like the impossible. But as evidenced by the change in his friends after that trial, it’s clearly not something only Makoto is capable of. The others pulled out of despair thanks to Makoto, but it was their choice to do so.
“But… this world is so huge, and we’re so small. What can we do…? No, we can probably do anything. Yeah! We can do anything!”
#makoto naegi#Danganronpa character analysis#Danganronpa#danganronpa thh#danganronpa future arc#I fucking love Makoto Naegi man.#I think there’s a fine line of nuance to Makoto that’s easy to miss bc he doesn’t really make it known#he’s not a pushover and he’s not overpowered. he’s a people pleaser but he will say what needs to be said#he’s an immovable object and the exact opposite of Junko but he’s also just a normal guy who’s optimistic and (un)lucky#he isn’t invincible but he has immense power to his words the same way Junko did#if anything his superpower is being kind above all else. he’s compassionate to some of the worst people in the world.#he was even conpassionatr to an extent to Junko. he didnt want her to kill herself despite everything she’s done#and he still acknowledges that for years she was a classmate and friend.#I do think the more he learned abt what she did the more he’s come to actually hate her though#post the first game he always refers to her without a suffix to her name which is one of the most subtle rude things you can do#it means you have zero respect for the person you’re referring to#and he speaks about her with some venom he doesn’t use for anyone else in the future arc#he’s not incapable of feeling negative emotions#I really liked the future arc scene bc it showed that Makoto DID experience enough despair to have overcome him if he didn’t refuse#and that it still affects him deeply. people treat him like he’s either this perfect ideal Chad or this baby chick who’s so delicate#and no one really focuses on how makoto shoulders so much and yet is still vulnerable.#honestly that guy was DUE for a mental breakdown even without the tape. it would have happened eventually#I actually wrote one based on him finally hitting a breaking point after giving so much of himself away and keeping nothing for himself#that his issues that he shoves down constantly finally can’t be held down anymore. Hajime helps him bc he knows how that feels#it was a LONG time ago that I wrote that but honestly if I can remember where i was going w it I might finish it#it was initially an rp but I could make it a fic#anyway. the point is Makoto is SO much more complex than people give him credit for#the most fundamental thing about him is that he’s normal and that’s ok! that’s what helps him rise!

But even if you’re quieter, he will talk enough for the both of you
Likes to watch movies and shows with you!!
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Byakuya Togami
His love language is Giving Gifts
He wouldn't be that affectionate of a person side from this I fear
Plus he always brushes it off if you ask
But he was thinking about you!! <3
He’ll legit buy anything that reminds him of you or he thinks you may enjoy
Man is made of money ofc he’s gonna spoil you while also acting like he hates you
Just how he is I’m afraid

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Kiyotaka Ishimaru
His love language is Acts of Service
He wants to be the Prime Minister, of course, he likes to help!
Like, I don’t know, I just have this thought like…
He’d so help you study, and like clean up your room for you
Also, I feel like if you have long hair he’d definitely brush it for you in the mornings
Maybe that’s just wishful thinking though idk
But also if you do something for him to lighten his workload??
He might cry, just sayin'
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Leon Kuwata
His love language is Physical Touch
I just know this man desperately needs to touch everyone around him all the time (no I’m not projecting hush)
Like, he’s always touching someone, like an arm around his friend's shoulder or playfully ruffling someone’s hair
He’s just that kinda guy
He’d also for sure put his arm around your waist or shoulder whenever you’re around
Also, he’d probably grab your face occasionally to just squish your cheeks and tease you
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Mondo Owada
His love language is Acts of Service
He’s a big strong man!! Of course he’s gonna do everything he can for his partner!!
No, but for real, he will do anything you ask of him AND MORE
He’s just a big softie!! And a gentleman!!
Opens doors for you, pulls your seat out for you, if you two are close enough will let you wear his jacket if you get cold
Especially if you're a girl!!
Diya raised him right!!
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Yasuhiro Hagakure
His love language is Physical Touch
Ok, this one is probably gonna be short cause I do not know a whole lot about this man
I feel like he’d be laid back about it, like with Leon
He’s just a touchy person, even with his friends
So expect him to just grab you and pull you into a hug, or ruffle your hair, stuff like that
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Aoi Asahina
Her love language is Physical Touch
You cannot convince me she wouldn’t always greet you with a hug
Like I just know she’s always touching you in some way
Holding hands, or her arm around your waist or shoulder
Even if you two are for some reason not touching, she’d still be incredibly close to you
If you let her she will just stand behind you and rest her chin on your shoulder
She does not care who’s around!! She wants to cuddle you she will do so!!
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Celestia Ludenberg
Her love language is Giving Gifts
Celestia has made a whole lotta money from gambling, so you cannot tell me she wouldn’t spoil you.
You and her cat ofc, can’t forget about Grand Bois Chéri Ludenberg
Also, I’m split between thinking that every gift would be accompanied by a grand gesture, and thinking it wouldn’t be uncommon to just find wrapped gifts on your desk or something
She’s probably very nonchalant with giving gifts (most of the time) but if you get her anything unprompted?
She melts
Like it doesn’t matter if it's expensive or not, it's just the fact that you're giving it to her that makes her go kinda mushy
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Junko Enoshima
Her love language is Acts of Service
But like…in a very strange and roundabout way
Like even without the despair, she’s still…Junko, ya know?
She’ll trip people who are rude to you, help you cheat on homework, forge documents for you
Ya know, normal bestie things!!
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Kyoko Kirigiri
Her love language is Quality Time
I mean, it seems obvious, doesn’t it?
I think she wouldn’t want to push conversation, just being together is enough for her
She’d like to go on walks or drink tea together
A lot of long comfortable silences with her that’s for sure
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Mukuro Ikusaba
Her love language is Physical Touch
I feel like this is less about affection and more about wanting to keep you safe though
Like, she’d wanna be near you just in case someone (Junko) tries to hurt you.
Which opens up a lot of opportunities to touch you!!
She’d probably be kinda shy/indifferent to it at first, but after a while, she softens up and allows hugs and such
Would have her hand on the small of your back nearly at all times
Also is the kind to pull you out of danger/away from dangerous people
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Sakura Ogami
Her love language is Quality Time
Drink tea with this girl RIGHT NOW!!
She’d definitely want like an hour of just uninterrupted time with you every day
Also feel like she’d be big into taking long walks with you, maybe at night or when the sun is setting idk idk
Also very much feel as if she’d want you to work out with her
But if you don’t work out, she may or may not bench press you sorry
Or like have you sit on her back while she does push-ups
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Sayaka Maizono
Her love language is Giving Gifts
Girlie makes a ton of money, she is SPOILING you!!
Buying you outfits, jewelry, expensive makeup, cute plushies!! Anything you want!
Would probably try and take you out on a shopping spree but doesn’t wanna be interrupted by fans
But she would give you her card and tell you to go crazy!! Maybe idk
If you give her a gift? Especially if it’s something you made?? Girl is melting.
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Toko Fukawa
Her love language is Acts of Service
She does stuff for you, but always vehemently denies it
Helps you clean up your room, just to say she was just looking for something
Or makes you food and just says she made too much
If you're someone who tends to overwork yourself, she’ll stay near you while she writes to make sure you take breaks and eat and drink water and whatnot
Which probably also helps her to remember to do those things!!
Win-win scenario!!
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡⟢Genocider Syo
Her love language is Physical Touch
Tries to make out with you in public
Will also grope you without warning
Sorry but if you want her to stop you gonna have to do something about it
However, even with all that she can also be really sweet at times
I feel like she’d thrive on cuddles
Even if she does feel you up while doing so

Hello, I am writing to you anonymously out of shame but you can call me Emy I was reading your blog and I was totally delighted with how you wrote and I wanted to make a request: could you write for Chuuya, Jouno, Dazai and Poe (you can add more if you like) with a reader like Mikan from danganronpa If you don't know her, her personality is a little (very) shy and she is surprised by the slightest show of affection (she is even surprised if you say good morning), often despising herself, asking others to forgive her existence and when people Annoyed with her, she tends to ask if she can take off her clothes or imitate a pig so that they can forgive her for all this because she suffered harassment in the past. I'm sorry if the request is very big 😭 but I would be grateful if you accept it (nothing happens if you don't either) I'm sorry if there are spelling errors but English is not my first language and I am using Google Translator. ♡
⋆˚࿔ ˚⋆ bsd men with a v shy + fragile reader
bow divider yeribbon
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ pairing: various bsd men x gn!reader (dazai, atsushi, chuuya, akutagawa, jouno, poe)
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ genre: comforting fluff!
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ content warnings: none! also i'm not v familiar with daganronpa, so apologies for any inaccuracies! i'm just going off what wiki fandom says (。-∀-)
⊹ ࣪ ˖ dazai osamu
doesn't mind your personality, although at first he teases you mercilessly until he realizes it isn't just an act.
as someone that has also gone through trauma, he would gradually soften up to your personality and reassure you of your worth.
dazai is a very impatient man though, so expect his method of choice to be exposure therapy...like extreme exposure therapy...like bro might slap some sense into you like atsushi & akutagawa ( ó × ò)
when you start over-apologizing, he'll put a finger to your lips and stroke your face and hair to calm you down (ღˇᴗˇ)。o
expect lots of subtle displays of affection like hand kisses, kissing away tears, and general affectionate flirting.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ atsushi nakajima
your demeanor confuses atsushi at first, to the point where he cries after the first time he meets you :,(
you're going to get a sentimental, heartfelt speech about how you deserve to live, and how you aren't a burden to anyone.
poor atsu cries over you--you guys probably have daily cry + cuddle sessions.
will do random things to cheer you up and give you many words of affirmation.
buys you a tiger plushie sprayed with his cologne to cuddle with when he isn't with you for comfort ♡
i'd like to think that through helping you, atsushi also helps address his own self-esteem issues ^w^
⊹ ࣪ ˖ akutagawa ryunosuke
hates you at first and sees you as a cowardly weakling.
it isn't until one day he randomly compliments or helps you and catches your shy/flustered expression that he begins to feel some sympathy.
will gradually visit you more until you stop flinching whenever he approaches you. he can tell you're intimidated by him because of his personality and notorious reputation.
it's definitely hard for akutagawa to be soft with you, since he's a rough person, but he tries his best to be gentle with you.
shows his care through actions more than words (sharing food with you, doing constant check-ins, guiding your back when walking with you, etc.)
promises threatens to kill those who have harmed and harassed you in the past.
becomes overprotective over you, getting mad when anyone--even jokingly--teases you.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ chuuya nakahara
tough love~!!!
expect a lot of "huh, what the hell are you talking about?" anytime you apologize for something small or suggest some self-sabotage
since you aren't used to affection and often try to reject gifts, thinking you aren't worth giving them to, chuuya will 'lovebomb' you with gifts until you get used to them as the norm and accept them willingly.
although he may seem short-tempered and easily irritated, he'll always make time to sit down with you and listen to your rants/past stories and engage in deep conversations.
holds your hands and reminds you of how strong and talented you are--will keep drilling it into your head until it sticks.
carries tissues in his suit for when you cry.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ edgar allen poe
this man may be your twin...honestly he's a bit of a mess himself, so he doesn't know how to help you.
i think poe would be relieved to find someone similar to him--also very shy and awkward/bad at socializing.
if you started apologizing when there was a pause in conversation, he would probably apologize back, and you two would go back and forth until karl bites him (꒪▿꒪)
since you both mainly only find confidence in your talents/skills, he would get to know your strengths as much as possible and encourage you to do your best!
will also share his book plots with you, taking you with him into the books and getting your feedback, never missing the chance to show you something beautiful he secretly wrote just for you
overall, poe would make you feel less alone and isolated, helping you gain confidence overtime!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ jouno saigiku
since you're already so fragile and frantic, jouno wouldn't find any pleasure in torturing or messing with you
ends up helping you under the pretense of "calming down your raging heartbeat and nerves that are too loud"; in reality, he notices how you're always on edge and just wants you to experience some peace and quiet.
jouno's sensitive to others' emotions, so i think if you were having a panic attack or extreme anxiety, he'd immediately hug + hold you until you calmed down again (ㅅ´ ˘ `)
like the rest, he'd offer you words of affirmation and hold your hand in public/around other people.
will stick around you to ward off anyone who tries to bully you or exploit your personality; blushes uncontrollably if you thank him for his simple acts ♡

This game sure seems familiar...
L to R
With Arisu being a gamer, I'd like to think that he has played danganronpa before.
Some DR artstyle doodles and yapping under the cut
So, idk if I'll make this into a fully fledged au but I might doodle some more and see where it takes me. But here's what I have for this already.
Arisu is the protag, because it wouldn't make sense otherwise. He gets to be the ult gamer unless I can think of something better. Though I think a Naegi situation would be fun but instead of Arisu becoming the ultimate hope, he becomes the ultimate hearts player, or something. He's pretty damn good at navigating the trials, but usually is his own worst enemy due to overthinking or blaming himself. Uses his known knowledge of the games to help him reason as well. Probably had some half petrified half awestruck response to monokuma.
In this au, this danganronpa game would replace the canon 10 of hearts. I know that would make this kinda predictable, but I mainly wouldn't want to kill off characters that have major roles with the face card games. For everyone being an ultimate, they could be injected with something at the start that the game says "strengthens their ultimate". Which, of course is not possible but, danganronpa logic. It can placebo effect some people though. That'd be interesting to use in a trial.
Usagi would be the ult climber and Arisu's support. But in the emotional area, such as talking him down. Pulling him out of his mind when Arisu inevitably blames himself for every person that dies. He will. She also will probably be a suspect at some point and Arisu nearly breaks down because he thinks it's Usagi. Ofc it's not her but, he gets to spiral first.
Chishiya is the little shit antag. He starts as the ult ??? of the game and it gets revealed later that he's the ult doctor. Mainly because he doesn't want people to know about him and the profiles dont show the ults ig. But ofc he uses it to scheme and mess with the other players. He's probably pretty good at investigating and will likely figure out who the blackened is before everyone else. He's not going to tell people shit though. Maybe something offhand to Kuina that triggers an argument in the trial. He immediately notices how Arisu is leading the trials and finds it interesting which is the main reason Chishiya even kinda helps in the trials at all. Other than not wanting to die with the group if they get it wrong ofc. Chishiya lacks the charisma that Arisu has to convince the entire room if he speaks up regardless so, if he can get Arisu to the same conclusion he's at, the trial will progress. That, and according to Chishiya, everyone else there is an idiot. He doesn't want to talk to them anyway. He also just, sits down during the trials. He runs with his hands in his pockets, he's not going to stand for a full trial.
Niragi would be the ult video game engineer and this of course, confuses the hell out of everyone. He's still aggressive as hell, he's still Niragi after all. But that means he's also smart. So he knows better to go against the rules. I'd like to think he's the one to try to break monokuma at the start and gets injured from it. He's a diamonds player, but maintaining his dangerous personality would make for him to be an interesting secondary antagonist.
Kuina would be either the ult martial artist or ult stylist. Or she can be assigned the first but say she's the stylist in her heart (bless). Probably heavily debates killing someone if a motive pertains to hurting her mom but either doesn't succeed or gets talked out of it. Likely similar to Aoi or Akane survivor status.
As for other characters, I'd likely add Tatta, Momoka, Asahi, Hatter, Last Boss, Aguni, and Ann. Otherwise I don't have too much an idea on who to slap in to fill out the rest of the cast cuz uh, not that many more characters from the beach that I can slap in here. Plus anyone bonus would be obvious cannon fodder, I already have too many survivors, and I don't really want to put in ocs. I'm already going to have to likely pull some bs someone survives an execution type of beat so. Maybe it's just a shorter killing game. I could have the clear condition be "find the in game mastermind" and have it have a similar solution to the show. If the blackened is successful they could just, let them out of the game grounds but you wouldn't get any visa days or something. So, in reality, it wouldn't help any of them, but of course that isnt stated and none of them know that.
If y'all have ideas y'all're welcome to toss em at me. I'd love to just, yap about this. I'm having fun just kinda, thinking about how this would work out, ya know? Hope if ya read that block o' text ya enjoyed it! Under is the quick rough sketch of the comic on my phone. Hope y'all're vibin!

I would like prompt:23 for Akira from Danganronpa he(art)less deceit for 7 minutes in heaven with the male reader! I just know there's going to be a bit of spice in there somewhere.
Playing 7 minutes in heaven with akira hayasaka

Suggestive post (implied smut)
Pairing:akira hayasaka x male reader
A/n:ok so here's what I'm gonna do for (he)artless deceit. You can request for the girls, but I won't add it to the master until I reach my next milestone. It will be kind of like a secret menu thing for now
Prompts list
"Come on"
"No"
"Pretty please"
You looked back at akira who was giving you puppy eyes
"......fine but you can't record it"
She beamed and immediately hugged you
"And that's why you're the best boyfriend ever"
"Why do you wanna do this anyway? Isn't that a game teenagers play?"
"Cause I wanna make out with you in a closet"
You blushed surprised by her bluntness
"...s-seriously? You could have just asked me if you wanted to make out"
"Yeah but it's more special like this"
"Whatever, so who do you wanna invite?"
"Oh no I wanted to play with just the two of us"
".........doesn't that defeat the whole point of playing?"
"Y/n, I'm gonna be completely honest with you. if someone else gets to stay 7 minutes in a closet alone with you, I might just slit their throat"
"..........fine I don't have a bottle anyway"
"And that way we can get right to the good part"
Akira put a timer for 7 minutes on her phone and placed it on the bed. She then immediately followed you as you went into the closet and locked it.
"OK so what do you-"
Before you could finish your sentence, the ultimate social media sensation/assassin pinned you to the wall and smirked
".....seriously? You just wanna start immediately?"
"Duh, we only have 7 minutes babe, and I'm gonna make the best use of them"
".........You're lucky You're an insanely good kisser"
"Just one of my many talents"
She got even closer and pressed her lips against yours. Because of the insane pleasure and surprise, you couldn't help but let out a few moans, which caused your girlfriend to kiss you even more.
Akira's kisses are aggressive but gentle at the same time. She puts a lot of tongue in them but makes sure to not overwhelm you in the process. As an assassin, she knows all the spots in the human body to hurt a person, but she also knows all the best spots to bring you pleasure and she uses that knowledge all the time in bed and even right now to get you as worked up as she is.
You continued making out for the following minutes, only stopping to catch your breath and even when you did akira didn't let you relax, she whispered stuff like "you taste so good baby" or "if you keep blushing like that I'm not gonna be able to control myself" her hot breath combined with her chest pressing against you and her incredible kisses made you so aroused, causing you to kiss akira harder even taking charge sometimes which she was definitely not complaining about.
You kept going like this for a while until a loud beep from out of the closet brought you back to reality and made akira roll her eyes
"Seriously? 7 minutes already? Fuck this"
She proceeded to kiss you again, taking you by surprise
"I thought we were doing 7 minutes"
"Come on babe, you're seriously going to leave me like this? I promise I'll make it worth your while"
"................"
"I know you're feeling the same, the look on your face says it all, you won't even have to do anything and I'll make you feel real heaven~"
"In a closet?"
"Isn't that the whole point of the game? I think we can stretch the 7 minutes part though"
She purposefully pressed herself even closer to you, making you feel even hotter. You muttered a curse and started taking your shirt off. Akira smirked even more and licked her lips at the sight of your bare chest while taking off her own shirt.
"Thanks handsome~ you won't regret one second of it"
[Timeskip]
When you got out of the closet, you were both panting and completely naked, your skin being full of kiss marks and hickeys courtesy of the purple haired girl who was currently carrying you to the bed as you could barely walk after your definitely more than 7 minutes in heaven.
"Fuck that was good, did you enjoy it too y/n?
".............yeah"
"How are you feeling?"
".....tired and sore"
"Oh my bad sorry"
"No, I don't usually feel like this when we're in bed, let's never do it in a closet again, it was so uncomfortable"
"Noted, but it's still my fault, so sorry again, but don't worry cutie, cause right now you're gonna get some elite level naked cuddling all evening and night from yours truly"
"Didn't you say you had a job tonight?"
"Then I guess those fuckers get to live one more day"
"Won't your clients get mad at you?"
"I think they're smart enough not to argue with the girl who knows their names and 17 different ways to kill them"
You deadpanned but nuzzled into her chest as she hugged you close
"I don't know why but knowing you'd kill someone for me is weirdly comforting"
"No one gets to interrupt me pampering my amazing bf, let's order take out and scroll through social media now, sounds good?"
"......yeah"
Your girlfriend smiled and kisses your cheek before pulling out her phone
"Great, love you"
"Love you too"

Ellooo! Can I maybe request THH students aka the competitors of the killing game meeting pokemon Violet/scarlet trainer Y/n because a worm hole brought them in the killing game? Maybe they have some legendaries that help atleast make sure monokuma doesn’t pressure them all so maybe no killing? Maybe Y/n could offer they’re Pokémon as therapy animals and maybe hold “mock” Pokémon battles with the others by like giving them a Pokémon of theyres so they can try out battling! :3 I hope you have a nice January!
Thank you! Hope your January is good to you, too! For reference I'll leave the team vague (except for Mewtwo and Porygon Z for plot reasons), but they still have access to others they've captured in the Paldea/Kitakami/BB regions
I'll just do a few characters to help me ease back into writing the og Danganronpa series (which I haven't written for in like 5 years apparently????????)
............
General
You weren't sure why the wormhole ever opened to begin with.
Maybe there was still some instability within Area Zero despite the time machine being long gone, or perhaps something else decided to open up a pocket in the universe.
But regardless, it dropped you off inside of a school.
Not Naranja/Uva or BB Academy, but a much different school that had an ominous atmosphere hanging over it.
You quickly meet the other students there after being summoned to the gym, discovering that they all woke up here, too.
They didn't know anything about each other---nor did they know anything about Pokémon when one asked about your "Ultimate" (which you soon learn is your talent).
From what they understood, you tamed animals and made them fight other people's animals, which....seemed a little concerning.
But before you could explain any further, Monokuma shows up to announce the killing game.
Immediately, you take it upon yourself to defeat him, so you send out Mewtwo to destroy the bear--who self-destructs in response, but fortunately they're able to put up a psychic shield in time as he reprimands you for attacking the headmaster.
Your Legendary's appearance shocks every student there, realizing that these "animals" of yours actually possess magic and are 100% not of this world.
Whatever any of them believed before was thrown out the window.
Given your unexpected arrival (and the fact you were pretty much untouchable thanks to your team), Monokuma won't be able to enforce the killing game as much as he liked to--although he thinks someone's gonna eventually kill somebody.
While the gate couldn't be breached, you and the other students try to accept living within the school, certain there was another way out.
He still tries handing out the first motive, only for your Porygon-Z to corrupt every video so that nobody felt pressured to kill.
But while everybody was at first wary of you and your powerful Pokémon team, they've grown to trust you, even considering you a leader.
You have no idea how to return to your world, so you might as well stay here and form friendships with these people.
Makoto
He was the first student you met...and the first to make you realize something was incredibly different about this school.
But after you saved everyone in the gym from having to worry about killing, he became more curious about you and your team.
Since nobody knew about Pokémon battling, you decide to pass the time by become a teacher to all who were willing to learn!
Makoto was first in line, of course.
You still had access to your PC, and after getting it hooked up to the computer system (with help from Chihiro), you lend him an Eevee for practice, bringing out one of your fighting 'mons to teach him about type advantages.
"So I just...give them a command, and they'll listen?"
"Yep. That's all! I'll let you try first."
On the sidelines, Monokuma vouched to have the loser get executed--but ofc nobody listens to him.
Makoto genuinely enjoyed the mock battle, as his luck allowed him to land several critical hits on your Pokémon.
Afterwards, you introduce him to a Shiny Eevee, and during your free time, he's surprised to hear about your harrowing tales of shiny hunting.
"Your talent would work pretty well where I come from," you remark. "Because these guys are super rare to find in the wild."
"That's pretty cool. So what's your strategy? Do you camp out for a few days in the wilderness or...?"
"No. I kinda just run around until I find one. But sometimes, I'll be getting chased by some angry Pokémon who don't like me being on their turf...and in my panic, I'll stumble across a shiny."
"Hahaha..I can picture that happening to me with my kind of luck." He chuckles, now unable to get the image of you running from an angry Eevee mob out of his head.
Ishimaru
Despite witnessing your Mewtwo's heroic act in the gym, Taka still sees them as an animal that shouldn't be walking around inside a school, feeling obligated to enforce that rule when he catches you two going to get snacks.
"Excuse me, but pets are NEVER allowed inside the cafeteria!!"
"I thought I already explained that they're not a "pet", Ishimaru." You and Mewtwo stare at the prefect. "At my school, we're allowed to have our Pokémon out as long as they're not a distraction."
"Well...this is a different school in case you haven't noticed! So different rules apply here! Now please put your Mewtwo back in that little contraption-"
"A pokeball?"
"Yes! The poke-ball!"
"....and who are you gonna tell if I don't?" You grin smugly, watching him draw a blank. "Surely not Monokuma, who's been keeping us hostage here, right?"
Taka freezes up, but after remembering that you basically stopped a potential murder from taking place...he relents and stops bothering you about keeping your Pokémon away (though he's still not happy about it).
He was appalled at your suggestion of having "violent" battles in the gym--to which you reassure him nothing's gonna get destroyed, as they're only mock battles.
He watches a few, nervous whenever the Pokémon on either side faint or take heavy damage.
Then one day (post-sauna), he stops by your room and asks if he could try it for himself, admitting that he's been taking notes on the sidelines and wants to be tested.
He was craving new knowledge and decided that if Pokemon was the only "study" available, he'll accept it.
Delighted, you let him train with a Charcadet. You haven't decided what armor to give them yet, but they were still quite strong with their bold nature.
The two immediately get along and battle quite well, although when Taka loses, he feels terrible and tries going over what he could have messed up on.
You remind him that battling was supposed to be fun, but you give him an A+ for having the same passion and vigor as an experienced trainer--which lifts his spirits.
You decide to let him keep Charcadet for the time being, noticing how they've been picking up his attitude, discouraging other Pokemon from causing trouble or mischief within the school.
Mondo
After learning about his Ultimate, you just knew you had to show off a Shiny Cyclizar that you've caught.
But he takes one look at them.....and laughs.
"No way, you're telling me people can ride that wimpy little lizard????"
"...yes. And this "wimp" can actually reach up to speeds 70 MPH. They've been around for longer than you, I, and your precious motorcycle have been alive." You remark, which makes the biker shut up for the moment.
He wishes he could have his motorcycle just to race you and prove himself better, but he takes your word for it after you climb on Cyclizar's back and run a lap around the gym.
If you have a Miraidon, his jealousy would be shot to the maximum because your motorcycle-lizard is not only 100% robot but they can shoot electricity AND fly????
That's so badass it should be illegal.
If you have a Koraidon, he might have a brief confrontation with them after they assume their Apex form, believing he was threatening you.
Luckily, you quickly recalled them before he could even try throwing a punch.
But since battling interested him, you let him practice with that same Shiny Cyclizar...only for him to discover that they won't listen to any of his commands.
You intended to teach him a lesson about respecting Pokémon, since he hasn't apologized for insulting them--but he didn't understand and thought you were lying about the moves you taught them.
But eventually, you get it through his thick skull and he yells out an apology, which Cyclizar seems to accept as they use Scale Shot-
Only for to miss your Pokémon all five times, making him fume as you mention accuracy as another aspect of battling.
Least to say....Mondo is extremely competitive and acted like a sore loser when you, a champion-ranked trainer, beat him.
But he got over it eventually, and you let him keep the Cyclizar, who did forgive him and gladly kept him company.
Aoi
While you were talking about the different Pokémon types, of course the Ultimate Swimmer would be most interested in the water types.
So you let her browse your PC for some time.
Lapras and (surprisingly) Aqua Breed Tauros piqued her curiosity, asking you if she could train with them since you also mentioned having done double-battles.
Funny enough, those two had natures that subverted her expectations: the gentle-looking Lapras was rash and aggressive with their attacks, while the scary-looking Aqua Tauros was so timid they were outcasted from their herd.
Once they come out of the PC and Aoi gets to know them--they're basically her Pokémon forever now. Sorry.
She absolutely LOVES that they can join her in the pool! Even if Lapras can't swim around much, they still enjoy the water.
And Aqua Tauros' body fat allows them to float around without fear of sinking.
If you were to tell her that Lapras' species was nearly hunted to extinction, she'd prob tear up, but you'd then reassure her there's a lot of protection laws and their population has grown in abundance since.
When it comes time for the double battle, you send out some strong electric types of your own, just to see how well she'd do in the face of type disadvantages.
You didn't realize how closely Aoi bonded with Aqua Tauros until you used an attack that was normally a OHKO--only to see them still standing, having "toughened it out".
Turns out that her cheerful mood and encouragement have given the bull the confidence they needed.
Sakura
After watching your battle with Aoi, Sakura steps in and asks if she could see the Pokémon you have available.
You decide to show her the fighting types, and she immediately takes an interest in Urshifu, who you've had since your trip to Galar's Isle of Armor.
They remind her so much of her dojo, and felt inspired when you told her about the journey their previous evolution (Kubfu) went on to help them achieve their current form, whether it's Single or Rapid Strike Style.
The Legendary wants to learn more about her fighting styles--so the pair have a friendly sparring match with each other.
You worried about Urshifu hurting her with their move set, but they fortunately restrain from using anything dark/water/fighting-related powers.
That's a form of self-control you've never seen before in a Pokémon, but you're relieved (and impressed) when Sakura yields with only a few scratches.
Although she vowed to never lose to a human opponent, this doesn't count as Urshifu isn't exactly human.
You then introduce her to the Tyrogue line you've caught in the canyon biome (Tyrogue, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, and Hitmonchan), and they're collectively awestruck after seeing her rematch Urshifu, wanting to learn her ways.
So she ends up being a teacher to them, and it's quite adorable seeing them all training together in a way that not just strengthens Sakura's own mind and body, but also theirs, too.
She's not too keen on using them to battle, as she sees them as their own individual who should have the choice to battle if they want.
But because you assured her they wanted to, she agrees and uses Urshifu while you sent out Iron Valiant, a fighter from the future--and despite the type disadvantage, she actually won and thoroughly shocked you.

I've seen a couple of people do stuff like this, so I'm gonna take a stab at it. My thoughts on every character so far! (Long post, so the opinions are all under the cut)
Darumi
She feels like an audience insert of sorts, with her immediate mention of death games and her outfit looking like something a stereotypical "2020 danganronpa cosplayer" would wear.
She's a bit unhinged from what we've so far, but she also seems like she'll be a lot of fun to watch on screen, and isn't that what's most important?
Definite and overwhelming red herring for something, however. Unsure for what yet, but she screams red herring to me.
Also, the fanart of her has been spectacular. Keep it up, lads.
Eito
I'm sure we've all seen *the scene*, so there's that. If that's not out of context somehow and consensual, then- yay? Good for the yaoi fans.
I immediately liked him when I first saw his design, he just *looks* nice. I'd let him hold my drink at a party. I've read somewhere that he becomes Takumi's closest friend, and I dearly hope that that's true, because that means we get lots of Eito content.
I'm also unbelievably excited for that one ending where he inevitably goes off the deep end and does something absolutely horrific. There has to be one. Manifesting it. I love watching my favourite characters commit atrocities.
Gaku
Can I just say how different he specifically looks in his two different outfits? I didn't even recognise him when his sprite of him in the uniform was revealed. His casual outfit is so silly, and his uniform looks the most like he's about to beat my ass. The gattling gun also helps, probably.
That aside, I don't feel that strongly about him. He's probably a nice enough guy, nothing else to say about him.
Hiruko
She's actually drop dead gorgeous. One of the best casual outfits.
Moving on, I think she's the one who's the leader of the squadron? She seems to have experience with facing the enemies, and she's still alive, so I admire the heck out of her for it. She also has an axe that is bigger than her; you can have all the gattling guns or scythes or floating knives in the world, but nothing bests a good old-fashioned ginormous axe.
Ima
Goofy face, what's he looking at me like that for?
This guy has a bit of a reputation, I know, but I'm choosing to have faith.
A sister complex is not inherently sexual or romantic (although it often is) and I find complicated and toxic family relationships in media quite interesting.
I am, however, almost entirely leaning on Uchikoshi here. Clover and Snake's sibling relationship was extremely well written, and I'm hoping that even if he does feel romantically inclined towards his sister, it's just as well written. I'm choosing hope.
Also, his weapon is phenomenal. I might need to make a weapons tierlist at some point.
Kako
She's a cutiepie, and I haven't missed the fact that she and her brother have angel/devil symbolism with their weapons.
Apparently, the two of them are a bit younger than many of the other students, so that should be interesting- Takumi I know is 17/18. Apparently, they're still in Junior High, so 14/15? I wonder if there'll be any split because of the age groups?
I want nothing but the best for her and I hope she gets it. And doesn't die too many times.
Karua
Likely the one this story revolves around, and one of the more mysterious characters.
I'm curious about her, but I don't really feel anything that strong about her. I am fairly certain that Takumi will tear apart reality itself for her, so she'll probably be a pretty nice character. And hopefully, NOT a twist villain.
Kurara
Absolutely wild to have a masked character in a game that Uchikoshi is writing, I'm sure that has never happened before.
She's filthy rich and has a tomato for a head, I- really don't know what to say about her. Her weapon is hilarious to me, "rich girl above all rich girls" and has a shovel for a weapon. I respect the grind, at least.
I'm sure in true Zero Escape fashion, we'll unmask her in one timeline and use that information in another.
Kyoshika
I genuinely have nothing to say about her- I learned she existed a couple days ago? Had never noticed her before, honestly.
She has a cool outfit in any case.
I just remembered there's a 10 image max on the app, so I'll continue this in a reblog

The Mai Akasaki Mystery Flower - Solved?
feat. a mini-dissection of Mai's name
Hi! I have seen a few people here guessing what the flower on Mai’s tattoo is (mostly camellias iirc)… and I think I have the answer!
I think it’s Ochna integerrima, which is also known as the yellow Mai flower. (Hoa mai vàng is it’s Vietnamese name). Yes, the answer may be that simple: the Mai flower is literally the Mai flower. It seems to match her tattoo and is a very similar shade to her eyes.
(Note: I found most of this information in February last year when I just searched ‘mai flower’ on google and saw the results and was like ‘huh?’ and went down a rabbit hole from there lol.)
The flower has great significance to the Vietnamese Lunar New year, or Tết, short for Tết Nguyên Đán. They are used to decorate homes and are in full bloom during Tết, which is around late January to early or mid-February and lasts for around 7-10 days, which also lines up with Mai’s birthday (February 1st).
(please correct me if I am wrong, I got this information from Google and I am not Vietnamese and have never celebrated this holiday myself!)
There is a legend associated with the flower as well, which I believe might help explain what happened to Mai Akasaki.
https://botanicgardens.uw.edu/about/blog/2022/01/31/lunar-new-years-and-the-legend-of-the-mai-flower/
The following is copy-pasted from the above website:
"The Mai flower is named after a heroine in Vietnamese lore. Mai, a young warrior set off with her father to slay a giant serpent which had been terrorising their village. Mai’s mother gave her a bright yellow áo dài (traditional Vietnamese dress) to wear when she returned, so her mother could see her coming. Sadly, Mai ended up sacrificing her life to save her father from the serpent. Impressed by her heroic feats, the Gods made her a saint and granted her the ability to return home to her parents during the Lunar New Year celebration. After her parents passed, Mai transformed into a tree in front of her family home which blossomed with yellow flowers every year. Over time, the villagers would collect branches from this tree and decorate their homes for Lunar New Year."
And here are two other websites I looked at when researching this story:
https://scootersaigontour.com/legend-of-yellow-apricot-blossom-and-peach-blossom-on-vietnamese-new-year/
https://heritagevietnamairlines.com/en/the-tale-of-the-yellow-mai-flowers/
This leads me to believe that Mai sacrificed herself trying to protect the cast from a large threat, perhaps the mastermind/MonoTV, or sacrificed herself during the HPA operation that @1moreff-creator mentions in their post Everything We Know About Mai Akasaki + So Many Theories – @1moreff-creator on Tumblr. (this post is basically the Mai bible, please check it out!)
Additionally, MonoTV’s Mai-related secret quote “It’s all your fault”, and the second anniversary code with the same message, and some of the other Mai secret quotes talking about her in past tense imply that she has already passed, and that the cast is the reason why, which could mean she sacrificed herself for them... so I don't think she is the mastermind!
Her surname can also potentially provide us with clues.
“aka” means red, the same colour as her hair
“sa” means bloom or blossom, a reference to her flower tattoo
“ki” means hope, and why that is important is pretty self-explanatory if you've seen anything Danganronpa related
and "saki" means blossom of hope
(These are all Japanese meanings. I just used google for these translations, I do not know Japanese).
This means that her sharing the same name as this flower is likely not just a coincidence, but a deliberate choice by DRDTdev.
Submitted Surnames with "red" in Meaning - Behind the Name
Tenma Saki | Project SEKAI Wiki | Fandom
(yes I just cited the project sekai wiki as a source in my drdt theory, I don't know how I got here either)
The only problems with this theory that her flower is a Mai flower (that I know of) is probably the Literature Girl Insane flowers and the flowers in the bonus episodes being different colours. For the LGI flowers they may just be different flowers altogether that are there to symbolise something else, or a different aspect of Mai... I'm not sure. And the bonus episode flowers could just be coloured differently for aesthetic purposes.
tl;dr The flower on Mai's tattoo may actually be called 'Mai', it suggests she sacrificed herself and probably isn't the mastermind and her surname reinforces the idea that her name choice is not a coincidence.
This is my first tumblr post so apologies in advance if anything about the formatting is weird! Also critisism is appreciated, I would love to hear your thoughts on this :D

“Everybody Lied to You!” | DRDT Mastermind AU
Hello, viewers! This section includes lots of spoilers for Danganronpa: Despair Time! Be warned!~ Also, it’s a VERY long read.
“I have to kill Teruko Tawaki.”
Don’t we all? I mean that literally. It’s our job as a team to exterminate the ultimate lucky student named Teruko Tawaki. And now, it’s your job, too! But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s introduce you to the crew! (^owo^)
KEY:
Status… The knowledge that they are a part of XF-Ture and/or the killing game.
Role… The knowledge that they are a part of XF-Ture and/or the killing game, as well as what part they play in this operation.
Veronika Grebenshchikova… General Helper
Aware of… Everybody’s Statuses
It’s you, the newest member of our team! Welcome aboard! I’m sure you didn’t actually mean to join our crew. It’s Arturo’s own fault that you managed to figure all of this out. After that fiasco, it was only natural that you’d find out everybody else is intertwined with this scheme. But, well, if you can’t beat us, you might as well join us, right?
Your purpose is very simple: You will help us in whatever we need. Since you are well aware of everybody’s status and are figuring out all of their roles, you will have no problem discerning when they need help. Offers can be declined if you discuss the offer with those of the “overseer” title (see Hu Jing and Whit Young), MonoTV, or those who are more important than those who were previously mentioned.
Whit Young… Overseer, (Unofficial) Entertainer
Aware of… Everybody’s Role
Whit is much calmer than everybody else. It’s almost as if running this killing game is second nature. With an almost apathetic attitude, he never fails to find a joke for a situation. There is one thing he takes seriously: Charles Cuevas. No matter what happens, Whit will use his extensive knowledge about unforeseen circumstances to keep Charles safe.
Whit’s job is simple: keep everything running smoothly. However, Whit seems to not take this job seriously. He has tendencies to break the fourth wall, lead the others astray, and do other activities that make him suspicious. The audience is aware of his role, even though we have yet to confirm their claims. However, he claims that this will work out in the end.
Hu Jing… Overseer
Aware of… Everybody’s Role
On the outside, Hu is a protective mother. On the inside, it appears that Hu is crumbling. She used to be lower on the scale of power, but due to the lack of candidates after the first trial. Hu’s role was shifted. She found it ironic how the woman not many people paid attention to would be the one in charge. However, her comfort with Nico, David, and Levi were never faked. She feels genuine despair at their confessions.
Hu’s job is simple: keep everything running smoothly. This could be due to her motherly nature, but Hu is significantly better at this than Whit. She’s much more strict than what is expected of her, but this often works in her favor.
Nico Hakobyan… Animal Trainer
Aware of… Whit’s Status
They just want to be loved. Or, at least, that’s what Hu seems to think of the situation. Regardless of what their exact motives are, the hatred that they have experienced has been mutualized. While they are aware of the horrible fates that will occur in this game, they seem to believe that it can always be worse.
Nico is in charge of the many animals that will play a part in this game. You’ve seen the wolves that devoured Min, right? Those were trained by none other than Nico Hakobyan, the ultimate pet therapist. Danganronpa: Despair Time does not condone animal violence; these wolves (and every other animal that may appear in the series) are under extensive care.
Julia “J” Rosales… Production
Aware of… Hu’s Status
Years of famous people getting away with horrendous acts have torn her down. Desperate to make the world see how horrible people can be, she paired with XF-Ture’s killing game. However, unbeknownst to her, she was only helping this double-standard. She became the one thing she swore she would defeat.
J is in charge of the production and posting of the show. This means she’s also in charge of many of the factors that go into the show, including the lighting, set design, and will rarely give her input on the character design. However, her main job is still just airing it on TV. It was an easy feat considering her ultimate talent.
David Chiem… Promoter, Entertainer, TRAITOR
Aware of… Xander’s Status
By becoming the ultimate motivational speaker, he became affiliated with XF-Ture and their horrible ideals. However, with his manager being a part of this operation, David was roped into it. While he didn’t care for this game at all, he has grown quite attached to Xander. This, of course, led him to be inspired to stop this killing game by any means necessary. With him nearly getting everybody executed, he has been classified as a traitor. After all, he misunderstood the assignment. The only way this killing game will end is if Teruko Tawaki dies.
As a promoter, it was David’s job to spread the word about this killing game show. His manager made sure he did a good job at doing that. Much to his dismay, that wasn’t the only job he was assigned. He was also made to be an entertainer, meaning that he was supposed to be a fan favorite (you know how much an audience loves a “t****r sexy-man”). But ever since it has been revealed that skewing the trial wasn’t for the drama, and actually had a reason… He cannot be trusted.
Min Jeung… Informant, TRAITOR
Aware of… Nobody’s Statuses
There was more to that deal than she bargained for, and she was not happy about that fact. Unaware that their main objective was to kill Teruko Tawaki through any means necessary, panic took over and she ended up saving the enemy. Now that she’s dead, the company’s remaking her! The process of making her into an actual informant is… slow… But AIs are easy to shape.
Min’s job was supposed to be real easy. She was supposed to give information on the other participants. We would use this information to determine who could be a possible traitor. Obviously… that didn’t work as well as we thought it would.
Arturo Giles… Fashion Department, Health Department
Aware of… Levi’s Role, Hu’s Role
Imagine messing up so badly that the company you work for gets a new recruit. That HAS to be some kind of salt-in-the-wound thing. Anyway, he didn’t really want to be part of this. In fact, it’s rumored that he didn’t even know this was a killing game. The reasoning behind joining a big company is scarce, but it might have something to do with the fact that he has no certificate yet, meaning that he has to start somewhere.
When he told us that he does not have actual medical experience, we assigned him with Levi. However, he is still expected to get his own experience. He is the only doctor in this killing game, meaning that their lives are in his hands.
Levi Fontana… Fashion Department, Muscle
Aware of… Arturo’s Role, Hu’s Role
Apathy works wonders in a game like this. Without any care for somebody’s fate, it’s easy to do as you’re told. Levi remains low. He does his job with little to no problems. However, his current act of saving Teruko Tawaki is currently being under review. We cannot have another traitor in this game…
It’s thanks to him that Teruko, Whit, Hu, and Ace were able to get changes to their design. His job is to make sure everybody looks fabulous. Of course, there are other factors to the job, such as making sure their character designs make sense to both their talent and personality. As for being the muscle of the operation, it’s self-explanatory.
Eden Tobisa… Mechanic, TRAITOR
Aware of… Whit’s Role, Min’s Status, Rose’s Status
This girl is planning something- the fact that what exactly she’s planning escapes us does not pull away the fact that she has something up her sleeve. First her attack on Xander, then making a half-assed truce with the two other girls in the baking squad… This girl is no good. She’s just as bad as David at this point. Keep an eye on her.
Despite her problems, she has yet to stray from her role as the mechanic. According to her, clocks have many mechanics that work in other projects. Making digital clocks seemed to be useful when helping to design MonoTV. She is also knowledgeable on many of the other electronics on the set.
Rose Lacroix… Memory Department
Aware of… Nobody’s Status
It’s unclear what Rose’s opinion on this is. She unknowingly took Eden’s truce, but still does her job perfectly. While I believe she isn’t happy with her situation, I also doubt that she will try to revolt any time soon.
Rose remembers everything. She just acts like she doesn’t. She was in charge of erasing Teruko Tawaki’s memories. She is aware of many things about everybody in this killing game, even if she doesn’t know that they’re working together. She is also in charge of motives, such as the latest motive secret. Why else do you think that she had possibly one of the lamest ones?
Arei Nageishi… Promoter, Instigator
Aware of… Eden’s Status, Whit’s Role
Such a cruel girl… She was perfect for this killing game. With an antagonizing personality, it’s no wonder why she got chosen to be an instigator. She makes fun of anyone, making sure they are weaker than her. Though, she’s developed some sort of relationship with Eden… Maybe she’s trying to make Eden come back to her senses?
As a promoter, her job was just to promote the killing game show- exactly like David’s role. Of course, it wasn’t the same thing, as Arei just wore a bunch of merchandise for XF-Ture (similar to those patches on race-car drivers). However, she also plays the role as an instigator, meaning that it’s her job to make sure people are on-edge during the game. Her cute-yet-dangerous personality played a large part in that.
Ace Markey… Muscle, Instigator
Aware of… Whit’s Role
Despite being terrified of everything, Ace is a very useful person. He’s a wonderful instigator, and he’s too scared of failure to ignore our orders. Even if he has a big mouth, actions speak louder than words.
As the “muscle” of the operation, it’s pretty self-explanatory on what that means. He works with Levi to move things. As an instigator, that’s also self-explanatory; he is to keep everyone on edge. He has been doing amazing at that, especially with Nico Hakobyan. Even though he may not seem like it, he is the star example of what an XF-Ture employee should be like.
Charles Cuevas… Sedator/General Chemist
Aware of… Whit’s Role, Hu’s Role
He’s afraid of blood. Thankfully, his job doesn’t have anything to do with that. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be as good with it. He may act friendly with Teruko, but we have reason to believe that it’s just to get her guard down. After all, we don’t think he’d want Whit to be in danger just for Teruko to remain safe.
His role, like many others, is self explanatory- he works with chemicals that may be of use. He played a massive role in sedating everybody before the killing game started. Being a chemist, he’s extremely skilled in sedation. We also believe that he will be useful for any future motives that may be introduced, seeing as that it is possible that fear-inducing gas may be a helpful motive. However, nothing has been set-in-stone yet.
Xander Matthews… Killer
Aware of… Whit’s Role, Eden’s Status
Xander obviously didn’t want to attack Teruko, but it was his job. He’s a very determined soul, thinking the best in others while still refraining from a naive persona.
He was our final chance to do this peacefully. We just needed Teruko to die. Just Teruko. Nobody else needed to die. But now, with him gone, we’ll be going with full force. That woman had forced our hand.
So be it.
And here is the relationship chart!
It’s still in the works, but this is the gist so far!

Danganronpa: Despair Time Chapter 2 Episode 16 Dissection
Wow. Just wow. What a way to end off the chapter. (/pos)
I wasn't expecting to have a whole lot to theorize about with this one (especially given its relatively shorter length), but buckle in, because I'm sure I'm going to have a lot to say about the way that the end of this brilliant chapter played out...
Enough to call this a Part 1 again, much like I did last time. That means I have a rate of way over one image per minute...
SPOILERS for Danganronpa: Despair Time through the end of Chapter 2. (wild) Also spoilers for SDR2 through the beginning of Chapter 4.
When I was first watching the episode, I definitely had the thought, "I wonder if MonoTV is just saying this for the sake of engagement with the theoretical audience, because it seems like MonoTV should already know what the answer is due to its role and what the students just said." Based on what happens later in the episode, that was probably about correct? I dunno, there's a lot to unpack with MonoTV here.
Who Voted Teruko?
(For all two people who would understand the reference, please read that header in the tone of "who voted Sifu?" from Survivor 45. Or, really, I should probably say one person, because it's probably just Venus :P)
So, it's happened once again. While the clear majority of the votes are on the correct blackened, Ace, we have a single straggler who decided to vote for Teruko instead. But, who is this mystery person? Let's talk possibilities.
First, however, I think we should take a look at last Trial's voting results.
What I find strange is that the order of the students, even those who weren't voted for, changed. My guess was that students who receive votes are put at the front, students who are dead are put at the end, and the middle seems to be alphabetized by last name order?
Chiem - Cuevas - Fontana - Giles - Grebenshchikova - Hakobyan - Jing - Lacroix - Markey - Nageishi - Rosales - Tobisa - Young
Interestingly, if true, this means that J was being categorized as "J Rosales" even when she was still going by "J Moreno" in Chapter 1. Fascinating.
Anyways, the Chapter 2 board has shuffled things around. Obviously Min and Arei have been moved down since they died, and Ace was moved to the top because he now has votes. However, the end of the lineup also changed, for some reason.
Chiem - Cuevas - Fontana - Giles - Grebenshchikova - Hakobyan - Jing - Lacroix - Young - Tobisa - Rosales
What does this mean? Honestly, I have no clue. None of the students stayed in the same positions relative to each other (as in, Whit is no longer after Eden, Eden is no longer after J, etc), so I don't think it can be used to particularly suspect any of them? If anything, I think Eden would look the least suspicious, because at least she stayed in the middle while J and Whit swapped who was at the beginning or the end.
It's possible this was just an editing mistake, but I figured I'd point it out in case it helps anyone with their theories. (Clearly, it's just evidence that Whit is one step closer to becoming a Cuevas--)
Back to the original point, who was the one Teruko vote? In Chapter 1, I think it's pretty widely agreed upon that Min voted for Teruko. However, Teruko got two votes in Chapter 1, so the possibility remains that it could be the same person who's voted for Teruko twice now. I've gone on the record to say that I thought Arei was the one to provide Teruko her second vote in Chapter 1, but thankfully numberoneanika helped me to see how there could have been other options.
Obviously, Arei wasn't the one to vote for Teruko this time. So, with that in mind, here are my best theories:
Ace
Pros: Doesn't want to die, and therefore might not want to vote for himself. Probably the most obvious option.
Cons: At the end of 2-15, Ace was, all things considered, pretty accepting of his upcoming death. He said that the only reason he was fighting back was to stall for time, but that he knew that there was no way he'd get out of the Trial alive. Voting for Teruko doesn't help him delay the inevitable at all. If he were trying to cast a vote in the vain hope that it would save him from death, I would have expected it to go to Eden. Also, I doubt that Ace would have been the extra vote for Teruko in Chapter 1, to the extent that's important.
David
Pros: Dislikes Teruko and wants to cause chaos. It's also possible he could have cast the extra vote on Teruko in Chapter 1, if he had already made up his mind about wanting to take the killing game off the rails.
Cons: Honestly, I don't know if there are any direct cons to it being David who cast the vote. He might have been able to get more emotional damage for his buck if he'd voted for Eden or something? I don't know.
Teruko
Pros: Believes herself to be at least partially at fault for the deaths of her fellow classmates and doesn't like it. Therefore, if she can't bring herself to have another hand in their deaths by casting a vote on them, she could vote for herself (believing she can't die) instead. This is also an option that could easily be repeated across all Trials, if important.
Cons: If Teruko wants to proceed with not helping all of her other classmates die, it's in her best interest to vote correctly, instead of swaying the votes to an incorrect answer and having everyone but Ace die.
The Mastermind???
Pros: While it's not a guarantee, the mastermind likely has a grudge against Teruko (assuming the mastermind is not Teruko herself), due to the "kill Teruko Tawaki" missive/note. Therefore, they could be voting for her due to their grudge. From a narrative sense, this would also "ensure" that this phenomenon can happen at every Class Trial, if that's what DRDTdev wants.
Cons: Although I just laid out their motive, this would be an incredibly petty thing for the mastermind to do and could potentially give the innocent students needless additional information about their identity.
Conclusion? I think it's most likely to be David. After my blunder last time, though, I'm definitely willing to hear out other options if people have candidates to propose!
Also, it's nice that they updated David's portrait to include his new Look. I imagine some art intern scurrying around behind the scenes trying to find a good screenshot of David to use on the board in the last hour of the Trial.
Yo, wait, is that an anti-MM-coded line for Whit? Because the mastermind would obviously expect there to be more than one Trial? Can we get some more of these??? (/j)
Also kinda anti-Whit-knowingly-being-in-a-time-loop lines, for anyone who's been considering that theory. Unless he's just really deep undercover, to the level where he's interjecting lines that go against the theory to a group of people who have yet to suspect him for it at all.
LET'S GO NICO PARALLELS!!!!!!
Hu: How could you say it's just misfortune? Arei wasn't killed because of an accident. Bad luck or not, Ace had made up his mind to go through with this murder! So we can't possibly blame ourselves for failing to prevent something like that.
🔥🔥🔥THE BLAMING YOURSELF SISTERS🔥🔥🔥
Well, more or less. Teruko is fully blaming herself under the name of "misfortune"-- that much was made clear by the end of the episode, if nothing else. But Hu is coping by continuing to blame Ace convincing herself that there's nothing she could have done, and therefore isn't actually to blame. It doesn't matter how reliable she was-- because she was reliable, she promises-- because Ace was going to kill anyways. Basically, it doesn't matter how much of an immovable object she was because Ace was such an unstoppable force. Ignore the fact that the whole debate is about which of those would win.
Hu's stance is fascinating, though, because it means that she's somewhat buying in to the idea of fate. Arei was fated to die, Ace was fated to kill, no skin off your back. Given that MonoTV itself represents fate, it seems clear that one of the main messages of this story will be fate doesn't exist/is what you make it, which means that, to some degree, all of the characters will have to be representatives of or affected by that, with believing in the concept of immutable fate being represented as the villain. (I'm sure I'll talk about this more next time I talk about mastermind candidates.)
Therefore, Hu cashing in on the fate idea could be good or bad for her. It might be important that we establish that she does believe in fate, much like Teruko does, because she'll need to face it and denounce it on her way to survivor-hood. Or, this could be a subtle indicator that Hu will always lean on fate to protect her own sense of self, a red flag for her being a killer or possibly even a mastermind in the future.
Hu is clearly being set up to be a major player in Chapter 3, though, which is great for me, because that's exactly what I wanted! Let's get you some real daily life screentime, girl :)
Absolutely raw line here.
Eden: I... I can't forgive him. He killed Arei, after all. She was innocent, and he killed her for unfair reasons. But... those unfair reasons were unfair to him as well. Veronika: [...] When we first met Ace a week ago, he was the same person, certainly, but he was also different. He was happier, and he trusted people more. And he wasn't a murderer back then. Still, between then and now, he changed. He had to. Like adding stones to a pane of glass, one after another, until eventually, the glass cracks. The only thing anyone can do in this killing game is to shatter.
And another raw line from Veronika at the end of her section. I can't wait to see both of those lines used as captions for people's fanart.
Still though, on top of being true (and highlighting how Ace did actually change for the worse), this also feels like a reminder to us that the characters are changing over the course of the killing game. Therefore, a character who said one thing in Chapter 1 might not feel the same way once they hit Chapter 3 and beyond. Being in the killing game takes a toll on everyone, and the self-discovery it inspires can lead people to do things that they never would have done before. Case in point, Levi sacrificing himself for Teruko later in this episode.
SO true Veronika. Casual reminder to you all that this is literally only overall Day 8 of the killing game. Xander was alive less than one week ago for these people.
If I had a nickel for every time that Ace was compared to glass in Danganronpa: Despair Time Chapter 2 Episode 16, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
(Also, the clock-themed music is back. I wonder what it's supposed to represent...? *adds it to my already way too long list of theories to write now that the Chapter has ended*)
Genuinely WHAT was acevi cooking this episode. (/pos) I had never been super into the ship before because of how seemingly incompatible they were after the first trial, but seeing how much they clearly care about each other (or at least how much Ace cares about Levi) I'm kind of compelled to now. This truly was the toxic yaoi Trial ever.
Hey, FF called it in the "Blackened's Blaze of Glory" idea! Also, WOAH WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!
Let's go, Ace animation! It's nice to see that he was able to participate in one before he died. And wow, did he participate indeed!
It's kind of crazy how breakable MonoTV is due to its screen face. Like, you can't just do that to a Monokuma; his head is likely too hefty. But, even though MonoTV is breakable, it doesn't mean anything in the end. False hope at its finest.
This is the face of someone going, "wait, was it really that easy?"
HOLY SHIT
Out of all the lines and events of this episode, it's quite possibly this line that has made me go the most insane. Just goes to show that I am way too invested in the lore of this series. (/j)
So, this is a direct confirmation that XF-Ture Tech was involved in the creation of MonoTV, and therefore, quite possibly the implementation of the killing game as well. That's huge. I mean, not too unexpected given how important it clearly was to Xander, Min, and even altDRDT, but I wasn't expecting to get confirmation here and now of all places.
Given this, I would not be at all surprised if the altDRDT character known as XF is the one who created MonoTV. Like, she might be the Ultimate Roboticist or Ultimate Software Developer or something. It also means that the mastermind very likely has some sort of positive association with XF Tech, so sus on Min (sponsored by XF), Rose (has connections to one of the Spurlings), and possibly J (family runs in wealthy circles). Of course, if XF Tech is directly partnered with HPA in some way, it could also be someone who's particularly associated with the school-- although, that would most likely be Min again.
There's also the question, "why did MonoTV have a different personality than the default driver," which is related to the question, "what was the default driver created for?" My immediate thought was that XF Tech might just have robot assistants that generally help them, and that was the default personality that was assigned from MonoTV. However, XF (or whoever else) found that boring for the sake of entertainment, and decided to jazz MonoTV up, possibly to make it more like Monokuma.
Then again, it's been highlighted again and again that MonoTV is really incompetent. Surely, that's not something that someone who wanted the killing game to succeed would want to program into their host. It could have been an accidental side effect, but if MonoTV really was made by the Ultimate Roboticist, would that person really make mistakes? Is it possible that MonoTV's personality could have been made that way to subtly sabotage the killing game?
(I understand I'm furthering logic off of a string of assumptions-- not trying to lay down the law here, just running you through my initial thought process upon considering this evidence.)
Given that MonoTV told us in Chapter 2 Episode 3 that it has a lot of limits and there's a lot it still doesn't know about the killing game, I don't think that this is a situation in which MonoTV's AI expanded so much over time that it developed a new personality. Especially because that means that all that development would have needed to happen before the killing game began, off screen. That's why I think that MonoTV's alternate personality needs to have a human explanation, which I believe might be tied to XF.
I don't have any "answers" to this question because I don't think we're meant to have any at this point, but I also can't make any particularly compelling guesses about it without reviewing a lot of the evidence we already have. (*adds another theory to my mental theory list*) I am thinking about this though. I'm thinking about it a lot...
MonoTV: Full restart scheduled in one hour.
Also, I take this to mean that MonoTV will likely be back to its usual personality come Chapter 3. It might have a slightly different design to take into account the broken screen, but I think the personality will remain the same.
(If MonoTV's body does get fixed, would that mean that there are multiple copies of MonoTV out there, or that someone fixed MonoTV within that tight time window???)
MonoTV is in your walls.
Also, here's a list of all the students who are shown reacting in a confused/scared manner after MonoTV begins to restart: Eden, Rose, Ace, Nico. Doesn't mean that they can't be the mastermind all of a sudden, but it is probably evidence to the contrary. After all, the mastermind would likely be the one most aware that this could happen. And, if you only build in four slots of people reacting in disbelief (such that there are plenty of people who could slip under the radar), it might make more sense to give those lines to people who are actually genuinely shocked, much like the audience.
Also also, I think that the text on MonoTV's screen reads, "Falling back to default driver. Restart in an hour." AKA, not much lore to be taken from there, other than that it's once again called the "default."
It's MonoTV Time Again
More absolutely essential information when it comes to cracking what exactly MonoTV is. This is a killing game that is, first and foremost, designed to kill everyone, not going for anything like "redemption" or "revealing the truth."
It's also fascinating that it says "every participant." Not even "every participant except one"; the killing game wants to kill everybody. What does that tell us?
This killing game is likely NOT an attempt to imitate Junko. In that case, they would be prepared for the possibility of multiple survivors.
The mastermind, assuming they're amidst the cast, is willing to die for the bit. Every participant includes themselves.
XF-Ture Tech also default wants everyone to die. This likely means that they were willing to sacrifice Min for whatever this plan was. Sorry, Min :(
Now, it is definitely possible that any of these ideas are an overstatement. Killing all of the students is stated to be MonoTV's purpose, NOT the purpose of the killing game as a whole. Therefore, it could be that MonoTV is programmed to want all of the students to die, to minimize the chance that it would develop any feelings of sympathy and start to work against the killing game. Meanwhile, the mastermind is expecting there to be one or more survivors, potentially including themselves.
However, that is just a minor potential discrepancy, and I find it likely that DRDTdev intended this scene to comment more on the rationale of the killing game as a whole. In which case, this is a fascinating look into the mastermind and XF Tech's rationale.
He cares about Charles so much :,) <3
I know some people have been using this as reason to suspect him ("why would he be more focused on Charles not getting traumatized than telling Teruko, who he theoretically also cares about, to run"), but personally, I didn't read it that way at all. (I say as, like, the #1 Whit Isn't Evil defender lmao)
First of all, from a pacing perspective, I think it was nice to have a quick break from people just telling Teruko to run. We have Eden saying that, followed by Charles saying that, so having the third instance be something a little different helped break up the repeat information, in my opinion. J tells Teruko to run immediately afterwards anyway, so you still get the same effect of everyone warning Teruko as the clock ticks down.
Secondly (and more importantly), I think that this could easily be an indication of Whit seeing Charles as sort of an extension of his mom. Not in the sense that he sees Charles as family, but that Whit had one person who he really, really cared about, and he couldn't stop them from dying or being hurt. Even though Whit does generally care about the others, after Xander and Min died, he realized that he wouldn't be able to save everyone. And, he wasn't even particularly interested in trying in the first place-- after all, he said that solving the fights between others wasn't his business, so it's not like he's trying to be everyone's savior.
If Teruko is already dead, then that's how it's going to be; there's nothing he can do about it. But he can try to protect the person he cares about most in this killing game from suffering, because he refuses to have that person exit his life again. The fact that Whit is prioritizing Charles' safety over anything else in this moment will only make it all the sadder when Whit fails to prevent Charles from dying in Chapter 3, and make the impact of his returning loneliness all the more catastrophic.
Obviously, that's just my theory and not a fact, but I do think that it's one reasonable way to explain why Whit said that here without having to cast him in any sort of suspicion. It's a possibility.
Yet another instantly iconic line. I'm so happy that DRDTdev is doubling down with this being the reality of Teruko's talent, because pushing the abilities of someone who's talented with luck is so fun!
Although, not gonna lie, in this moment, I was actually flabbergasted and frantically running through options of who I thought the replacement protagonist might be. Like, Eden? Charles?? When people said they thought David might become the protagonist, THEY DIDN'T MEAN FOR CHAPTER 3!!!
Also, absolutely diabolical to hide Teruko's execution in plain sight as the thumbnail, under the guise that this was meant to represent Ace's death. Gosh.
But it was actually Levi who got shot, which is fascinating! I also thought they might kill him here as sort of a pre-emptive double kill (as in, "keep on pace with the typical number of fangan survivors while not actually having to explain why a double kill occurred"), but from the way the rest of the episode plays out, I think it's pretty clear that he'll live through this experience.
He'll almost certainly have some sort of design update, though, which I'm excited to see. Let's hope he doesn't suddenly turn into a robot, a la Nekomaru. (I imagine this scene may have originally been inspired by creating an alternate take on Nekomaru taking a bullet for Akane.)
As for why Levi did this for Teruko, Venus explained to me what I now believe is probably the most likely reason: he's repaying a perceived "debt" he owed to Teruko after she saved him from being executed back in the Prologue. (Other people may have reached this conclusion as well, but I heard it from Venus first)
Teruko already saved his life once before, so now, he believes he owes it to her to save hers. Obviously, Teruko seemed pretty confident about surviving the execution, but he may have still thought that causing her to suffer a coma or the loss of a limb was big enough of a threat that she shouldn't have to suffer through it.
That sort of idea would also tie into what I originally thought might have been some of his reasoning: that he doesn't think very highly of his own life, and was willing to sacrifice it for someone who he considered "good"/more important than him. It would also allow him to die as a hero saving someone's life, rather than a heartless monster who ended lives. Not saying that this is a healthy rationale, but, well, the guy just threw himself in the line of fire for someone who said they'd be fine. Also, it's DRDT. Nobody here has a healthy rationale.
Btw, this ⬇
Levi: I don't understand. I can't understand you, no matter how hard I try.
Is the last thing that Levi was ever able to say to Ace (as well as Levi's last line of the Chapter). Have fun with that, acevi nation.
My heart broke in half when I saw Rose react in this way. Hang in there, queen...
MonoTV: Don't worry. I shut off the gun as soon as I detected that Levi was in the way. His injuries are not fatal.
Also, MonoTV's default programming still includes it saying things like "don't worry"? Fascinating.
Motherfucker Not Another Clearly Important Info Jumpscare-- (/j)
So, uh. Whit got a new sprite in Chapter 2 Part 2 other than his trying not to laugh one. Yaaaaaaay... (dissolves into tears)
Points of interest about the sprite itself: obviously, this is the closest thing that we've gotten to a scary/breakdown sprite for Whit thus far.
If you look at his eyes, you'll see that they've gone gray/black as opposed to his usual blue, and his heart-shaped pupils and arrow-circle design have gone completely missing. This makes him I believe the third character whose eyes turn gray when they're experiencing negative emotions thus far, after Xander and David. Another knight at the table of Sir Light Pollution! Although, notably, Xander and David's eyes always had some gray in them, while Whit's, prior to now, were 100% blue.
Whit is also holding one hand behind his back, which could be concealing something? I saw a comic (which I thought was drawn by gooseagain8, but I checked their account and I couldn't find it--) where he was holding a remote to keep the Trial doors shut behind his back, and now I can't think of anything else, haha. However, I also don't know where Whit would have gotten that remote from, so it's probably not that specifically.
I don't think I even have to explain why people would use this to think that Whit is the mastermind. It's pretty obvious. However, I do think that this probably diminishes the odds of Whit being your standard "revealed in Chapter 6" mastermind, because it's so obvious. Fangan authors, naturally, can do whatever the hell they want, but it seems unfitting for DRDTdev's behavior so far to give such a massive hint for something that's so far down the road. I say this because, with the mysteries of Mai, and XF Tech, and who says the quotes at the beginning of the Chapters, and LGI, DRDTdev seems to have a track record of enjoying a long-running mystery, and making complex, layered puzzles that the most insane of fans can go back and forth on for hours.
If this was meant to be a hint that Whit will be revealed as the mastermind in Chapter 6, I'd think we'd get, like, a sprite with Whit's hand behind his back but without the scary expression, or he'd say something more subtle like "don't you just love it when you can't get the door open?"
Instead, we get this incredibly in-your-face, obviously suspicious sprite, that even someone who had never seen an episode of DRDT before in their life could easily point out to suspect that Whit is evil. So then, why else could it be included?
One option is that it is meant to foreshadow that Whit will take on a more villainous role, but in the shorter term. He could be revealed as a mastermind or traitor in Chapter 3. My problem with this sprite as evidence of Whit as a late-game mastermind is that this is a really big hint. Generally, with a reveal like that, you'd probably want to build up to the reveal with bigger and bigger hints. For instance, you could say that DRDTdev started off with the small hint that Whit knows a lot about what people think, then move up to the medium hint that he and MonoTV have similar styles of humor and meta jokes, then move to the bigger hint that Whit suddenly knows a ton about how hanging works, for some reason. This piece of evidence is such a big hint that Whit is the mastermind (under the assumption that it is that) that I don't really know where you'd go from here without just saying that Whit is the mastermind. We've eliminated the possibility that the hints could grow any bigger, cutting the trail off early. Therefore, at the moment, I think this only (narratively) works if this is the last hint we get that Whit is the mastermind, which would mean that Whit would have to be outed soon.
Alternatively, I definitely think it's possible that DRDTdev is setting up Whit as an intentional red herring, a bait with which to divert the audience's attention away from whoever the real mastermind is. It could just be a fun game for the fandom, or actually come into play in the main plot in the future, if someone accuses him of being the mastermind on these charges. That's sorta the assumption I'd been operating off of before witnessing this scene. However, if that's the case, then DRDTdev shouldn't just have Whit do all of these things without creating an in-universe explanation for why he did them. Whit would have to have a completely innocent reason for striking this pose at this point, which... oh boy.
Not gonna lie, it's been difficult for me to come up with a non-sus explanation for this sprite that doesn't make it sound like I'm 100% coping, but I'll try my best. Anybody got some more of those spare anti-MM-coded Whit lines I asked for earlier?
Given the presentation of DRDT, when we see this sprite of Whit, we don't know what he's looking at. It's easy to jump to the assumption that he's looking at the students who are trying to open the door, but it's also possible that he's just looking at the door itself. Like, he's also just expressing his anger at the door for not opening.
If that's the case, it would probably be for the same rationale that I used to justify his line protecting Charles earlier. He doesn't want Charles to suffer, which means that he wants Charles out of this room now. The hand behind the back, then, is a tad confusing, but there are a few explanations I can think of.
The first is that this sprite was created with further uses in mind down the road. For instance, if Whit later hides a gun behind his back (don't ask how or why he would non-suspiciously have a gun), then this sprite may have been prepared to handle that circumstance so that it doesn't have to be redrawn later. Of course, to this point, DRDTdev hasn't held back with creating unique sprites for unique situations-- check out how many sprites Teruko and Ace have for likely just this episode. So, it's probably more likely that, if Whit does need to hide something behind his back later, it would have been drawn then.
The second is that just the hand is a red herring. The facial expression is real (being mad at the door), but DRDTdev made him hide his hand behind his back so that people would think he was concealing something. Overall, I think that's an acceptable level of red-herring-ness. You aren't faking something as big as the facial expression itself, but you still throw in a little false lead to throw the audience off of the scent. However, in an ideal world, there would still have to be an in-universe explanation for why he did it. Unless he just chose this moment to scratch his lower back, I don't know what that would be.
That's all I have for now, but I don't necessarily think that this sprite means that Whit has to be evil in some capacity. However, it's done the best job so far of making me think that he is, so I'll keep my mind open to that in the future.
This is such an excellent end to Ace's character. Like, I was already nodding my head along with all of the people who expressed why Ace's death here was narratively satisfying, but having him finally accept death in order to save Levi's life is a beautiful cherry on top.
I like it because it doesn't make Ace's death as overall depressing as everyone thought it would be. Ace was about to die believing that he was a piece of shit who never changed, even when everyone else wanted him to and was able to themselves. But, even if he might not have realized it, accelerating his own death for Levi's sake means that he did change. He was finally able to conquer his fears by looking them straight in the face. And, if the theories are correct that Ace had a hand in Taylor's death...
Ace: Because... because Levi is gonna fucking die, and I'm going to have a third goddamn death on my hands!
(Here's iistardust-and-sprinklesii's post, which first brought the idea that "third death" might mean that Ace was adding Levi on to his kill count of Arei and Taylor to my attention, at least.)
...it means that he also got to save a friend this time instead of killing him.
Obviously Ace's death is still a tragedy-- every death in the killing game is-- but just like Arei, he was still able to improve himself from who he was before he died. It's a really poetic ending that really hammers in the point that everyone has the capacity to be a good person, even in their last moments.
Really really really loved Logan's performance as Arturo here. This is the most... I don't know, human? Arturo has ever sounded. He sounds really young and afraid, which is totally befitting of the scene. It's not like I now believe that Arturo is a great guy and shoo-in survivor or anything, but it endeared me a lot to his character.
Also "I have no experience with saving lives" Felicity OOF.
This CG goes so fucking hard. First of all, I love the way that DRDTdev drew the hair and the fabric folds. They're always great, but I think that the extra sharpness and blockiness going on here serves the pointedness yet bluntness of Ace's words. Second of all, THE COLORS. Not only has everything become more red to highlight the fire and passion behind Ace's words, but it's also ACE'S COLOR. Ace is literally dyeing Arturo with his final message before he dies. I don't think we've really seen Arturo and Ace interact before (other than implied horror trio, I guess), so this was a fascinating move to make with regards to Arturo's character moving forward.
This is another way that Ace's character ends satisfyingly. Kind of funny that he's parroting this message when he just internalized it from Teruko, like, 15 minutes ago, but I understand why it resonated with him. And, like Levi, why he might have overstated this lesson so that he could go out as (even more of) a hero.
Execution Rambling Time!
This execution had a lot going on, so I expect to have a lot to say about it. We'll start here, with the name: Thanatophobia. For anyone who wasn't aware, it means, "fear of death." Totally makes sense, especially given Ace's eventual cause of death. I guess MonoTV/the mastermind/XF Tech(??? INSANE) knew enough about Ace to know that he was going to die of fright at the end? Eh, that's how most executions work, so I don't think it gives us too much to work with.
However, this is a confirmation that executions in DRDT are more based on what will cause students despair than directly what their talent is. It was kind of hard to tell with Min, given that her talent (Ultimate Student) and her fear of failing and being wrong kind of went hand in hand. However, horses were not the focus of this execution; Ace's personality was. Cool to keep in mind for future executions.
Drdtblingsceo (and perhaps others, but they were the first person I saw) was able to make out that not only does the grave on the left say "Taylor Riley," but the two other graves also say "Felicity Giles" and "Elliot Cuevas." (You can't really make it out in my screenshots, but you can see it better in the linked post. Sorry, I have a fairly old computer :( ) Terrible news for Mr. Riley, but great news for us when it comes to speculating about Ace's past. I wonder what caused Ace's secret to be about his eating disorder, rather than his dead friend that he seemingly blames himself for?
I was very closely inspecting this frame to see if it would contain any easter eggs about what happened in Xander's past. As far as I can tell, the article titles read, from right to left:
Unexplained Illness Kills Thousands
More People Are Dying of Cancer Than Ever Before
Flu Season Claims Thousands of Lives
Chronic Kidney Disease Mortality Death Toll Continues to Climb
??????? (I don't think this one actually has any text)
Falling Rates of Survival for Hospitalized Patients
Antibiotic-Resistant Infections a Growing Threat in Hospitals
Article #1 is the article that's zoomed in on for dramatic effect. As far as I can see, none of the actual paragraphs of any of the articles are legible.
We can fully rule out #2, #3, and #4 as being related to Xander-- those are all real-world diseases that don't really match up with the sickness Xander described. #5 is also out, because, even if it was meant to relate to Xander, it has no content, and therefore, nothing to analyze. I don't know why it's there, but it gives nothing.
#1, #6, and #7 all have the possibility of being related to Xander-- most likely #1, given that it was the one that was zoomed in on-- but that's only because they're vague. Therefore, we can't really learn anything more about the North C and Chariton incident from them. Still a good idea to check them, in my opinion, but they don't seem to bear any fruit.
Goddammit, do I really have to run out of images *now*? Like, in the middle of the execution? Fine, I'll be back to finish what I've started in a bit. Thank you for reading this far, and look out for the reblog hopefully later today!

Yk...... dunno if this is a hot take or anything but I do NOT like the fact that Makoto ends up being the principal of Hope's Peak.........
There's just SO many horrible memories connected to Hope's Peak..... Obviously, there's the killing games and the Tragedy, but there's also the whole Kamakura thing, and Kyoko's dad. Besides, I don't think students would want to be roaming around a school where people literally died. I mean...... I GUESS symbolically it makes sense, but couldn't you have just.. rebuilt it into another building entirely? Maybe like a homeless shelter, community center, charity building, or something.
But that's not why I brought that up.
You know what I think?
Makoto should've become a therapist instead. It's not only fitting with his 'Ultimate Hope' title, but he'd also be able to help the people that suffered in the Tragedy. Maybe he can give therapy to the Hope's Peak-turned-homeless shelter/community center/charity building or something. Or maybe the building can be rebuilt to be his office/clinic thing.
Oh boy, let's see.
My gut reaction...First of all, I agree about the Hope's Peak thing. I can think of a lot of ways for it to make sense on a character level (and be kind of angsty, honestly), but as far as the overall arc of the Danganronpa universe and Makoto's role in it, I would definitely prefer if it had gone a different way.
As for the therapist thing, gosh, I feel like he would almost definitely be good at it, but it also might kill him.
Not literally.
Just...Boy, I'm deeply fascinated by this suggestion. And by the way it immediately made me think "Oh, he's doomed." Like, why did I think that?
Makoto starts out in such an interesting place, and I think so much of his progression in status, over maybe the course of the whole series, involves different kinds of self-effacing behavior. Not always on his part! Sometimes the vibe is just, the world wants him to self-efface. The world wants him to be a nobody when he has no talent; the world wants him to be everything, when he's the Ultimate Hope. I don't think that Makoto is necessarily a character who doesn't know how to take up space, but I do think that, for him, self-destructive behavior looks like deciding not to take up space, or doing his best not to. So I think, in order for him to be a therapist, I would need to be assured that other stuff is going great for him, lol.
I don't know if any of that makes sense.
For me, I think the best end state for Makoto is definitely helping people, but in more of a community capacity.
Make him a mailman! I think he'd like it. 🤣
(Obligatory Nagito-gets-a-new-dog-who-keeps-chasing-Makoto Komaegi scenario. Unless that wasn't obligatory and my mind just went there because I'm deep in the well with Komaegi.)

hello!!! i just stumbled across your resurgence au (i think that's the name lol) and it looks super cool!!!! :OOO may i ask what is maki's whole deal,,,i love her a lot :3
It's Maki time!
So in Resurgence, like the rest of the V3 cast, Maki is saved from the simulation by Future Foundation. I've touched on this in a few older posts, but their recovery took place in a hastily thrown together field base/hospital in a city that's still pretty deep in despair. It was a matter of not being able to get transport in for everyone right away - they had a set date for the helicopters to come for them all.
By unfortunate coincidence (coincidence, huh) - the day the helicopters come, the hospital is bombed by a Despair mob. They weren't so happy with their show being cancelled by stupid teenagers (THH was streamed to the world, then despair audiences kinda gutted and reverse engineered the Neo World Program after the Remnants were restored to their og personalities, I'd say it's probably because of the brainwashed Future Foundation members that it got out to the world - so yeah "Danganronpa" is a "TV" show in that regard, but its not how the V3 ending explains it)
Maki was in a separate wing from most of the others when the bombs went off, and her escape route ended up on the side where the mob was gathered (a lot of the others got around the mob by going out other exits) - So Maki has to fight her way to safety, and unfortunately, she misses out on the helicopter evacuation.
Now, Maki can take care of herself. She might not be Ultimate Apocalypse Survivor, but she has the training to patch wounds, adapt to harsh conditions, and defend herself. So she's doing about as fine as one can in a city that's basically an active war zone.
Then Kaede shows up.
Honestly, I'm not sure why I chose Kaede, I really wanna explore that dynamic but haven't gotten around to it yet - I think their personalities would blend and butt against each other in a situation like this, it's like a hardcore setting for the killing game with no rules. Kaede was with Future Foundation as a field agent, but her squad got separated during an attack (they were probably looking for the missing V3 cast) - Funnily enough Kaito, Tenko, and Shuichi were on that squad so - yikes on missing them.
So now it's Maki and Kaede vs the world!
Until Kaede's radio starts unscrambling itself and picking up Future Foundation communications again - but they can't reply it seems. The signal seems to fade in and out each time they leave this district, maybe they should investigate, right?
... Oh hi Kokichi and Kiibo!
---
That's about as far as I've gotten in the general aspect of Maki's arc! I could go into detail about points up until now, but this post is already getting long on me. There will be bonding, there will be old scores to settle, there will be... forgiveness? Well, it's too early to say. I think the four of them are an interesting squad to shove into the apocalypse together, especially knowing the later game dynamics of Kokichi, Kiibo, and Maki, and me basically having to figure out Kaede and if the blank slate of her not being around for most of V3 is something that helps them all get along or complete ruins the dynamic at moments.

If you still take requests, can I get a Danganronpa 1 charecters x a lazy fem gamer girl reader? (The reader barely has any energy all the time, they sometimes refuse to move and they can get so lazy and into there game they stop breathing. And their diet consists of a energy drink and a protein bar)
lazy!gamer!reader

Anime/fandom: Danganronpa
Characters: Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Byakuya Togami
Warnings: I don’t proofread
A/n: I have a character limit but if you want the rest then request again! Also this is pretty much a chiaki!reader
Danganronpa masterlist | Main masterlist
Makoto Naegi
He cares very deeply about everyone he’s close to and lives and you’re obviously no different
Makoto becomes very worried for your well being and in the beginning, he won’t act on helping you too much other than asking you to care of yourself more
But as the relationship goes on, he’ll go from asking, to having you lay on him to catch up on sleep—despite his reddening face, to even giving you some of his spare food and calling you when it’s eitehr late or early in the morning because he knows you’re most likely still awake playing
He his it’s really cool how you’re able to beat any video game with no struggle and how you’re able to replay it so many times without getting bored and still no struggle
He offers to play with you, he loves seeing how your eyes glimmer and shine when he asks if he can play as well. Although his skills could never compare to yours, he’ll do anything to make you happy—even if it’s lose 27 times in a row.
Kyoko Kirigiri
She might now show it much by expressions or actions, but she’s very concerned about you—both mentally and physically
Staying up so much to play games can easily damage your mental health, and not eating so much will obviously physically affect you
Kyoko right away is advising you take better care of ur yourself hand will take action on her own hands, even if she has to feed you herself or lay your head on her lap, she’s doing it because she loves you, she thinks with blush coating her cheeks
She thinks it’s admirable in a way how dedicated you are to sticking by ur ultimate title and will let you ramble to her about any game you’re currently really into or playing and will even chime in with her own question every now and again
Kyokos more of a watcher and will never really ask to play with you unless it’s a super casual game
Byakuya Togami
Anyone who meets Byakuya knows how nadty and harsh he can be
But he is very different towards you and will put ur health as a priority and immediately have you taken care of by the best doctors and when it’s just the two of you, he’ll try to care of you as much as he can—in his own way
Byakuya will scold you but it’s all lighthearted and you can tell he just means it out of love and hope to see you get better by eating more, and sleeping more. And speaking of eating and sleeping, he’ll make sure you’re being given the most nutritious-delicious foods and sleeping in the comfiest mattress with the softest silkiest sheets and blankets
He thinks it’s odd how you’re so into games but he won’t question it too much and will actually help buy more games and even merchandise for any game you really enjoy
The only time he’ll every actually join you to play is when he’s bored out of his mind and he’s completely free to do anything—which is rare

The ending of Danganronpa V3: Not the cliché twist people think it is.
Probably the most controversial part about V3 is the ending. I love it. I love it so much I have a shirt of it. I can see why others don’t somewhat but at the same time I’m like why?
Many people say the fact the game is fiction makes it meaningless, but I strongly disagree. I understand that an 'it was all fake' or 'and then they woke up' ending is annoying and overused and, depending on what happens in the piece of media, just bad writing, but DRV3 isn't one of those endings.
And if you do believe the game was meaningless, then congrats you fell for Tsumugi's lies, hook line and sinker.
In the sixth trial, Shuichi talks about how even though the game was fiction, it still hurt him to see the people he cared about die.
Even though they are being told that everything they went through is meaningless, it is real to them; if they feel sadness and anger and love, it’s just as real; it’s just as meaningful as in the real world.
Another thing is the theme of the whole game is truth vs. lies, so wouldn’t it make sense for the final twist to be that what they thought was the truth is a lie?
In the first two games, the final trial ends with a battle of hope vs despair where hope always triumphs and despair is crushed, but in V3 it’s different.
Tsumugi wants them to continue the game. The fans want them to continue the game.
Choosing hope—sacrificing someone to go on to the next killing game—will just cause the cycle to repeat, but choosing despair is also bad; it causes people to give up and lose everything.
Shuichi doesn’t want Maki (and Kiibo) to have to go into another killing game, but they also don’t want to fall into despair. So he refuses to vote, and as much as Tsumugi begs and pleads, he stands his ground.
The viewers also refuse to vote, proving that fiction does have the power to change reality, a powerful message that is one of the main reasons this ending is so great.
Even though Shuichi Maki, and Himiko were fictional characters, they changed the outside world and stopped a whole franchise, a whole movement, and in real life, fiction can spread ideologies, beliefs, and concepts, and these things can spread to people like wildfire and bring people together in ways that normal methods, (like by mouth,) cannot.
That's why artists try to put messages in their art, musicians in their music, and directors in their movies and TV shows. They know that's the type of media that will have the most reach and spread the fastest.
Or even social media spreading information; it might not be the best source, but it still spreads rapidly.
Media has influenced our way of life for years, influencing our speech, thoughts, and cultures because of what it says; this is what V3 is trying to show.
Shuichi also talks about using his friends deaths and the lie of the killing game to change the world.
This is why it matters; this is the power of fiction.
Shuichi using his friends' deaths, which may have been seemingly useless anyway, to take down the show that has trapped them in a cycle of deceit and forced them to play their game.
It’s also great when you remember that Shuichi was afraid of finding the truth, and Kaede and Kaito helped him gain more confidence.
He vowed to Kaede he would end the killing game, and this man not only found the biggest truth ever, he not only ended the game, but ended the whole franchise.
If that's not character development, I don’t know what it is.
Another reason people hate the ending is the portrayal of the fans, the fans are portrayed as Danganronpa obsessed, and they are shunned by watching the senseless killing of people for entertainment.
It’s a world where everyone has become so desensitized to kids getting killed on TV that they gather around screens all over the world eager to watch the next installment; that’s why there are 53 seasons.
The fans in the ending are an exaggerated view of what Kodaka feared would happen.
It's not trying to bash the fans of today but the fans of the future if this continues and we don’t care about the deaths anymore, and we just want more because you can have too much of a good thing.
It also has good messaging about fans (and corporations) tearing a TV show or game series apart in compensation for more, deriving it from the original message.
For example, Squid Game a show about the flaws of capitalism and exploitation for entertainment, was remade into a reality show by Netflix, Mr. Beast, and Amazon Prime to capitalize on the success of Squid Game when it first came out, actively hurting real people in the process, just for the sake of making money.
The ending of V3 reminds us that the connections we make and the experiences we have give our lives meaning. And even if we only affect one person with our actions, it will be all worth it, and that's the greatest truth of them all.
It’s about freedom, the problems of beating a piece of media to death just to have more, using deceased loved ones' wishes to help move forward, and finding meaning in the things that seem meaningless.
The V3 ending is a roller coaster of emotions and a masterful experience. It serves as a great ending to a great series that keeps you on the edge of your seat, makes you feel sympathy for some fictional characters, and still holds up even eight years later.
I don't think this rant/analysis will fix the wedge in the fandom this ending has caused (we've argued about much more ignorant things in the past.) But I hope it at least resonated with you and re-kindled elements you remember loving about the ending for people who did enjoy it; and for those who didn't I hope this gives you some insight into why I and many others appreciate the ending.
So before your start to conclude that V3's ending was meaningless think to yourself-is that the truth or just the lie you were meant to believe.
#drv3 spoilers#danganronpa v3#danganronpa#drv3#The ending of v3 is peak#Idk how people still don't like it eight years later#Maybe the true v3 ending was the friends we made along the way#Sorry if it sounds scatter brained that's how my thought process works

Can I get a miu iruma with an affectionate boyfriend headcanon who loves her personality
₊˚ପ⊹ affectionate bf hcs ;
ft. miu iruma from danganronpa * ˚ ✦
tags / cw: male!reader
- initially, miu was surprised that you found her witty personality entertaining. people always get weirded out and annoyed with her very fast so a guy like you is definitely a like change in setting for her
- she might just think you’re messing with her — like, you really don’t think she’s irritating and offensive? that’s new. but she’s quick to accept it, and it even gives her a huge ego boost too. with you around, she feels she doesn’t really have to worry about being ridiculed for her behavior
- but miu shuts up fast and feels insanely vulnerable when you show her affection. at first she might try to say things like “are you trying to fuck with me?” or “w-what’s this all of a sudden?” and be visibly embarrassed, but she’ll gradually become used to it, for the most part
- although she’ll still look like a flustered mess, miu will try to embrace your gentle, intimate ways and might even learn to open up about herself more freely
- besides that, miu cares about you a lot. she won’t stand for anyone making fun of her boyfriend. we all know she doesn’t hold back with her insults, so unless you calm her down or someone else makes a snappy comeback, she will go all out
- speaking of which, as much as you love her personality, you should probably help her to not back down easily
- even if miu doesn’t express her feelings for you the same way you do for her, she’ll show you she cares not only because of the way she’ll defend you, but also by giving you little inventions. small stuff that makes everyday stuff more easy and convenient. if you want to buy something, she swears she could make you it and 10x more better than the original product, as the gorgeous girl genius she is!

Do you have an idea of what you're going to write next ?
Yes... And No.
The current plan is to write my dragon fic. I looove dragons, and I've always loved fics that make my favs dragons. Hoarding Humans is a good example of that ;P I really wanna do it myself! I feel a little weird directly using the concept of HH (just the idea of a dragon's hoard being humans! i've been obsessed with it ever since!!)... I know there's a whole Inspired tab thing on ao3 but remember I was brought up in the animation meme community trenches. I've seen some very vile things said to ""copycats"" (and it's usually just somebody who took inspiration off of someone elses art style or a certain part of another persons meme @_@ don't get me STARTED on the ragebait...) and I am not in the proper emotional state to handle that right now QwQ
However that doesn't mean I can't write about dragons. I have some ideas in mind-- I've properly conceptualized my go-to fantasy world for AUs like this. I know who the main cast would generally be (DICE! Kokichi rounds up some of his classmates from in game :P so people like Gonta, K1B0, Miu, Kaede, Rantaro. . . maybe Kirumi? I have lore trust me. I'm cooking.) I know the main premise of the story, and it goes into my own bullshit with dragons, because lord knows I ever follow any actual myths or tales (´゚ω゚`) (i read wings of fire that's good enough for me!!!)
I am still trying to learn how to draw dragons in a way I like though. Here's my concept for Maki and Shuichi ^^"

Overall the chances of this fic happening after HGH, as of right now, are fairly high. This is what I plan to write once I'm done with HGH.
But please, please please keep in mind that I . . . am absolutely horrible with making promises about my fics. I'm so forgetful I forget to even check my notes to see what I've forgotten. T_T my fics would be a tiny bit better than they are now if I actually kept track of wtf im doing. maybe i should make a checklist.
Point is, I don't know if this is what I'll write once HGH is done. I've done some estimating and while, for once, I do not have a concrete ending in mind, I can guess how long this'll be. I think... it might be around as long as M5? Somewhere around that 130k mark. Again!! I'm not sure!! I need to figure out what I'm gonna be doing for the non-Tsumugi half of the "recovery" arc, so who knows what the word count for this is gonna be T_T. MY POINT!! MY POINT IS THAT!!! It could change. By the time I'm done with HGH, I might write this dragon fic. I might write a differeny fic. Or I'll lose motivation to write anything for a bit. Lord I am yapping so I'll move on
Que transition, with all that being said, I do have Other ideas in mind!! Ones I've been sitting on for a while!
ONE. Saimatsu mansion :D I've mentioned it here and there, but the idea is that Shuichi and Kaede are plopped on an island and have to escape. It's one of those more out there ideas G_G and I haven't really descended into my full levels of insanity yet (wait until i start posting my crossover aus /j), but this would be bordering on it. I have some more minor ideas for this one, but I haven't rlly explored it yet :'3
TWO. remember unexpendable? yeah so i. i really really like crossover aus. almost as much as i like giving them superpowers. I was thinking of an Undertale x DR fic where I drop Shuichi into the underground. Undertale is super special to me,, it got me out of a really dark place. My favorite OC of mine (Montserrat<3) is an Undertale OC! So I think it'd be a lot of fun, especially since Danganronpa is basically the reason I'm like?? actually living now XD I got a job because posting my DR fics helped me overcome enough of my social anxiety to get employed. So!! It'd be nice. i also think shuichi and papyrus would get along do NOT @ me also undyne would scare the shit out of him. Anyways I dunno if this would be another oneshot, considering the, uh. length of the game. and how insane i could rlly go if i went into the neutral /genocide route stuff too. I dunno. It'd be fun :P i also have doodles wait

THREE. I don't know what could and couldn't be used for a plot twist so I'll keep it vague, but basically it's a fic that involves the ENTIRE CAST. A bit of a challenge for myself. Everyone's back! And all of the blackeneds revert to, like... HGH levels of despairs. So it's up to everyone whos still normal to find a way to make them also normal before, uh. things get worse. TV GIRL BLAST 💥 (oh yeah this would be a kaede-centric fic! her pov for the majority. i had a lot of fun writing her during Unexpendable and i miss her </3)
FOUR. i got really into in stars and time so now i'm even more not normal about time loops. so let's put shuichi in another one! but i wanted to shake it up a bit and really let my less canon-reliant, more creative side flow a bit. It'd also be kind of a message to myself about life... WHATEVER Thats not important. What is important is, hey! I've been watching WAY too many Minecraft ARG analysises than what could possibly be considered healthy for my anxiety, so now I want to sic a bunch of them on Shuichi. this things unfinished because i only have very vague ideas for a few of the loops... but the overarching idea is that even the smallest (but impactful!) change in a choice can lead to an entirely different loop, with an entirely different entity. and during all of the loops, shuichi gets little bits and pieces to the bigger picture, which will break him out of the loops. idk this seems like a big and tiring project so this is more of a "maybe" than the others but i still think it's cool :')
FIVE. ok this one isn't danganronpa... remember when I said I was super into In Stars and Time? I wanted to write an ISAT fic. Siffrin and Bonnie are so so special to me and i wanted to indulge in that. I haven't rlly been writing in my oneshots though so I don't really have a grip on writing anyone from ISAT,, so. :( i have to spiral into full insanity privately before i can determine what is safe to show the internet /hj
And that is all I can think of off the top of my head. :P These ideas have been brewing for quite a bit, and ones that have actual ideas to them. I dunno which one I'll write first... or even if I'll write them. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Who knows? Maybe I'll break my rules about writing two fics at a time. Just give me time ... and please be patient. I can only write so fast \(_ _)
#anon asks#the anxiety meds are kicking in i'm not even afraid to post this#i'm also getting tired so maybe that's why?#but yeah as you can tell. lots of ideas rattling around in this skull of mine
