this is solely a self-indulgent post but i’ve never related to the given personality of someone more than i’ve related to jeonghan. Recently I started searching through my favorite seventeen moments and came across his conversation with seungcheol in ITS2. I found it fascinating how he thought of himself like an island, that people are drawn too constantly. they come with their problems and are sent on their way when they don’t need his help anymore. I think i needed to hear it past my first initial watch to truly resonate with those words but. ow that it had i haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

Growing up i was the person that could never keep a friend. They���d come for an amount of time, and they’d leave me with no explanation as to why. additionally i was growing up with home issues and figured it was most wise to blame myself and my own wrongdoings as the reason. to this day i can’t make friends easily, because i’ve lost trust in the people i used to share so much with, and because it never felt like anyone enjoyed my company. They used me as a space to release their thoughts and build themselves back up again, but i found myself in the space of over sharing because no one ever asked me if i was ever ok. Eventually i built this mentality of letting people know me without truly ‘understanding’ me and It’s beyond comforting to know that jeonghans content being the guidance in his loved ones’ lives

Vash the Stampede

Given that Vash is... Vash, there was no way either of you knew if you could even get pregnant in the first place.

Seriously - no known plant/human hybrids existed, so the two of you never really thought much of it. You both just kind of assumed hybrids couldn't exist because plants couldn't reproduce with humans

Well, how WRONG you both were

But of course, because neither of you knew it could happen, neither of you caught on when you eventually started feeling nauseous, throwing up at random points in the day and feeling gently under the weather

110% you and Vash both were like "aww dang a cold? That sucks" and Vash would cuddle you lots to try and make you feel better cause he just thought you were sick

You also didn't let this sudden "sickness" slow you down - you kept working hard, on the run with Vash and the others, moving constantly, sleeping under the glow of the worms in the warm sand, hauling your weight and then some as the group continued to travel across No Man's Land

However, what you hadn't anticipated was suddenly not being able to do as much as you used to be able to - suddenly the sun beating down on you was too much, the heat overwhelming, and before you knew it, you had collapsed

Vash and the others were definitely concerned, but the concern turned to confusion and disbelief when they accidentally got a look at your stomach when your shirt had ridden up as you sat up once you regained consciousness - your stomach was SWOLLEN.

Everybody was a bit freaked out, you very much included, until you started to put the pieces together - your "illness", your sudden inability to tolerate things as you had before, your stomach swelling

"Vash... I-I think I might be... pregnant?"

Honestly, I think Vash would be stunned at first but once he realizes that what you're saying makes sense (and after the confirmation of a doctor from one of the nearby towns you guys travelled through), he'd be DELIGHTED

Would be the type of husband/partner who would never let you carry anything heavy anymore, hovering over you protectively, always worrying and making sure you were comfortable and not endangering yourself or your baby

"You need to rest, (Y/N)! You're growing a whole new being, you and I have gotta make sure you're taking good care of yourself now!"

Would give you ankle/foot massages A LOT to help with discomfort

Vash would definitely spend a lot of time talking to your tummy as it grows bigger, pressing soft kisses to your stomach and caressing it gently

Vash would be excited but TERRIFIED simultaneously to be a dad - so much sadness, death and regret followed him everywhere he went, and he was terrified to bring you into it, let alone an innocent child

You would have to comfort him and reiterate that you were in it together and that you think he'd be a wonderful dad

Also, because Vash is a plant and they age rapidly compared to humans, the pregnancy would be faster than a traditional human pregnancy

Vash has seen births before, especially given how long he's been around, so that part of it all doesn't make him nervous. The fact that now, it's HIS child, THAT makes him nervous

Would absolutely cry during the birth of your twins, partially out of fear, partially out of joy, and also partially because you'd gripped his hand so hard that you'd likely broken several of his fingers (oops)

Borderline passed out when they told him there were TWO babies - he wasn't expecting that at all

IDK why but I can see him being a dad to either twin boys (like him and Nai), or 1 girl, 1 boy.

It doesn't matter though, cause Vash would love your babies from the moment they let out their first cry, the reality hitting him - he's a father now.

Would give anything to protect you and his children - you're his world. His family. <3

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Unlike Vash, you and Wolfwood absolutely knew that pregnancy could happen

You and him both were sorta neutral about it - not actively trying to prevent a pregnancy, but not actively trying to conceive either.

"If it happens, it happens," Wolfwood said with a shrug when you brought it up to him

And so, you two just went about your lives together as always.

Of course, neither of you really bothered to keep tabs on your pregnancy status because you were busy travelling (and being on the run) with Vash and the others

Everything was as it usually was, with the group trying to escape from another disastrous clash with a police force of some kind, bullets flying past you all

You were hiding behind a corner, covering Wolfwood as he managed to fend off the cops coming after Vash and the rest of you, when a stray bullet struck you in the side, causing you to cry out and fall back

"(Y/N)!" You heard Wolfwood scream out your name, but you couldn't seem to see where he was anymore

Before you knew what was happening, the world went black

When you woke, your eyes opening to bright light, you quickly gasped and sat up only to cry out from the sharp pain in your side

Wolfwood was by your side, a deep scowl on his face, but you could see in his eyes that he was scared

"Mornin', sweetheart, nice of you to rejoin us in the land of the living."

Once you were more fully awake, the doctor came in to speak with you and Wolfwood, cheerfully reporting that "Thankfully, the bullet missed anything important, and the baby is just fine, too."

Umm, what?

Both you and Wolfwood choked slightly on your own spit as the doctor said that, with you coughing out "What baby?"

Yup, turns out you were pregnant and had been for a little while already at that point

From that point forward, Wolfwood becomes EXTREMELY protective of you, refusing to let you walk in front of him or even stand in front of him (he plans to use his body to protect yours if something bad happens)

He'd do his best to smoke less and not do it around you because it isn't good for the baby (he's trying hard but he still forgets sometimes)

Wolfwood would be the kind of guy who outwardly seems very relaxed and unphased by the situation but secretly has tried to read through every parenting book he could get his hands on

And when it's time for you to give birth? Listen, Wolfwood has seen a lot of things in his life, but he was NOT expecting birth to be that gruesome

Would become very pale, sweating profusely before dropping like a stone, out cold

Comes back to life when your baby begins to cry, announcing their arrival into the world

You would witness a rigid man bend and soften in front of you - you'd see Wolfwood's gaze soften and a genuine smile appear on his face as he holds your and his baby in his arms, a tiny hand wrapping around one of his fingers

Love at first sight for Wolfwood - he never thought a family would be something he wanted, but now that he has one? He's never letting go of it

Until the doctor announces that the second baby was coming

Thankfully the nurse had enough sense to take your baby from Wolfwood's arms shortly before the doctor announced that because he ended up back on the floor, out cold again

Kind of a wuss around childbirth but he loves his babies (and you) more than anything else in his life

I can definitely see him as a dad to twin girls (idk why he gives me girl dad energy)

LITA Ep 3 Rewatch Thoughts

SCHEMING CUTIE ALERT!!! That's the Sky-is-my-new-favorite-person smile <3

I'm dyingggg - Phayu says "I'm still waiting Rain" but bro, it's only been like 10 hours since the declaration of love-war, please calm down

Oops I realized I haven't been mentioning the episode titles - this one is so cute! 'I like Rain, and I'm not talking about the weather" but tbf this should have been episode 1's title

Also Rain and I are equally dumb (I'm including myself here bc if I didn't already know Prapai and Sky were going to have a storyline I probably wouldn't have assumed he liked guys right off the bat) - Sky didn't even flinch when Rain writes down his mission to court Phayu (a guy) and immediately writes down the first tactic. WHICH incidentally is "show up in front of him every day". It's pretty full-circle that Prapai uses this same tactic to woo Sky later on, isn't it? (I also didn't notice that until right now so wow these rewatch posts are helping my analysis skills lmao)

Look at my determined son!! He's gonna get his mans!! (Sky's looking a little skeptical tho)

Ah Sig my beloved other son who has a single braincell bouncing around in his head like a DVD player screensaver

The Rain-at-the-garage montage contains so many cute shots but this would get too long if I put every single one in, so let's focus on the first meeting with the brothers-in-law (P'Saifah and Rain). How much must Phayu have described Rain for P'Saifah to instantly know who he is on sight? Also P'Saifah probably reported back to Phayu immediately and I'm kinda sad we don't get to see that convo.

I didn't catch this until now but they also foreshadowed Rain missing a deadline in the next scene. Sky tells Rain to finish his work but as soon as Phayu texts him, Rain runs out of the room without having done anything.

Listen, I love P'Aon and his matchmaking skills ok??

Look at Rain, he's trying so hard to be polite with the P'Phayu and the khrap - what a good boy! It's taking everything in him tho lmaooo

The conversation that comes right after this between P'Saifah and Rain is pretty interesting. I love how the narrative keeps trying to tell us that Phayu is some sort of dangerous fellow when all he's done is be a model student and mechanic and teach college freshmen good manners. Could he maybe learn a little something about physical boundaries? Perhaps, but maybe it's just how kind-looking Boss is, but I never got any sense of danger from Phayu, and esp not towards Rain. Rain's reaction to hearing presumably about Phayu's past relationships is quite on-point, and really cements the stubborn and determined attitude he takes towards getting Phayu to like him. It's how we as the audience know he's gonna be successful.

Next up, Phayu arrives in all his fashionably-late glory. This part has me smirking every time because he walks in all suave and stuff but approximately 7 seconds into Rain's pouting he immediately drops all pretenses and becomes so squishy and soft

I LOVE this exchange between them - again, we are getting a full picture of their early relationship dynamics. Phayu has expectations that Rain's gonna be different, and Rain's telling him he's gonna meet those expectations, and Phayu's satisfied "ah just as I thought" face makes an appearance.

I absolutely adore this expression on Rain/Noeul - it's so subtle but powerful

Yay dinner date!! Phayu is taking so many mental notes right here (also pls note this is the same face Rain is making right above)

Phayu is way too good at pressing Rain's buttons omg - he really got Rain to do this with like a single sentence of teasing (tbf Rain is pretty impulsive tho so I'm not surprised)

The poor serviceperson was like pls let me go

Phayu goes through this episode looking wayyy too satisfied imo

But Rain actually does have nice manners - he gave Phayu the utensils and bowl first and does say thank you

This smile should be illegal actually bc it is stealing my heart and soul

And we get another instance of Phayu being very not immune to Rain's pout (this time he doesn't even get to pout for 3 whole seconds before concerned Phayu is feeding him and patting his mouth with a napkin)

We get some more foreshadowing that Rain is going to miss a deadline

ok THIS. These small gestures that Phayu does for Rain have me swooning just as much as their intimate scenes. Something about that sentence is grammatically incorrect but you get my point, right? They could have easily not included them (and idk if these were even scripted) but they make the relationship that much sweeter and believable.

That would’ve been his version of Syd calling her during opening night. Her two besties KNOW Chip is the most dependable person they know (My legacy is to be an excellent emergency contact !! aah shit)

Mikey does the same shit Chip did with Lee/Carmen!! Tried to justify/critically think through the emotions of the other people/person in order to emotionally recover!! CAUSE THEY’RE BOTH THE GUY I’M SICK. IM WRETCHING. CHIP AND HER SUPPORT MIDDLE AGED MEN DOGS ARE SOMETHING THAT CAN BE SO PERSONAL

It compLEETTEELYY makes sense for Carmen to be jealous of Chip for being so close with Mikey— But I think the thing that he’s started to realize— Is that yes 100% Chip got to be Mikey’s guy when Carmen didn’t, but Chip very specifically got those last two extremely turbulent two years, like it was NOT all good. The only memories Carmen has of Mikey are either positive or ruined purely by the rest of his family— HE never had to see Mikey go through HALF the shit that Richie/Chip saw him go through, and I think he’s realized, Oh I don’t have legitimate reason to be mad over a time that literally was not even that fun

Richie’s always protecting her!!! Fully prioritized her!! Parking lot scene softened the shit out of Richie for this fight honestly because after crying with Chip he managed to realize “oh yeah Carmen’s just a fuckhead. He’s wrong about everything he said. I’m going to go kill him to avenge you now.” love him. Love him love him.

Witcher Season 3 (AKA The "Final" Season 🤣😂)

Alright y'all, back at it again with my 3rd Witcher tv show "review" or whatever. S1 | S2

Disclosure: I already told y'all that I've made peace with this being the Yennefer Show, and that I'll keep watching when Liam Hensworth plays Geralt in S4, because this show ain't been about Geralt or witchers anyway--it's about the mages, obviously. Like, I don't blame Cavill for leaving, cuz if I had to play second fiddle to Yenn when I'M the titular MC, but I don't have ANY scenes, ZERO speaking lines, and NOTHING to do in my own show, then yeah I'd quit too! So I'm not gonna complain about what I WISH this show was--it will NEVER be the books or the games (definitely not Game of Thrones). Missed opportunity.

All that being said, unpopular opinion, but IMO Season 3 kinda slapped? The 2nd "volume"/part was the best BY FAR, but I genuinely liked the vast majority of the episodes. I give S3 a 9.5/10, because I actually have very few complaints about this season overall, I'm shocked. (EDIT: I have DEEProoted suspicions about a lot of naysayers/hatewatchers who say the show's "unwatchable," just because it's got a multicultural cast/"agenda"--sounds like racism to me.)

THE GOOD

The MAIN PLOT actually went somewhere!!!! A wild Vilgefortz appears! ^0^ He beat the DOG SNOT outta Geralt, YIKES! XD

One of my biggest gripes about S1 was that the show didn't focus nearly enough on THE BIG BAD, Vilgefortz. Cahir got SO MUCH screentime doing literally NOTHING for 2 whole seasons, meanwhile the rest of Geralt's Hanse was NOWHERE to be seen, and Vilgefortz was just sitting in the cut looking pretty, like wtf?

And Season 2 was barely any better!

But yeah, S3 FINALLY gave us Vilgefortz's dastardly behavior I'd been waiting for. He effed everybody up at Thanned, as I expected--that's my special evil boy! <3 (Now that Ciri jacked half his face up I'm very sad--that man is absolutely splendid to look at. A moment of silence for the eye candy, it will be missed. U_U)

THANNED. ^0^ Hoooooooly god this was great, even better than Sodden in S1. Episode 6 is the best episode in S3--such a great battle; people were dying left and right. And MAMA TISS!!!!! She went OFF! O_O

It was so sad, but ofc this was all gonna happen--they had Tissaia allllll the way up Vilgefortz's butt, so OF COURSE she was going to be crushed when he INEVITABLY betrayed her. (I don't blame you though, girl, cuz he's SO DANG PRETTY! I'd be crushed, too!) But at least Mama Tissaia got that body count up during the battle--SLAY! The way Filavandrel was just.... 🤯

Speaking of the elves, Francesca and Fringilla were put on the backburner (after dang near dominating S2); but I like the way their arcs ended, even though I felt bad for them. Very good scenes; the mages & their arcs are the very best parts of the show, as usual.

LODGE OF SORCERESSES RISE! ^0^ Dijikstra & Philippa. 😍

These freaks--I LOVE them, your honor! 😅 I was so hyped to see Geralt break Djikstra's leg, but Philippa had me ROLLING when she was like "well, it's a good thing you like pain"--I DIED! XD These kinky mofos! They're hands down one of the best parts of the whole show--I LOVE how sinister Philippa is (her bird feathers are such a great touch--whoever was in charge of her costumes & HAIR 👌), and what a simp Dijkstra is for her. It makes me so sad to know how things go for them in the video game--I sided with Dijikstra to kill Radovid, and was so hurt when he went after Thaler & Roche. But....yeah, I did pick the option to break his other leg, so....oops? XD

So yes, I'm excited to see where this show goes with Philippa and Vilgefortz; how their schemes line up (or not) with Emhyr and the Fake Ciri; and how that effects the REAL Ciri and how she eventually ends up under Avallach (I hope we get to see him on the show!).

Speaking of Ciri, we FIIIIINALLY got to see some domestic Geralt, Yenn & Ciri--even if they are on the run from assassins; and Geralt's iced Yenn out cuz she tried to sacrifice Ciri to Voleth Mier back in S2. A lot of the fandom HATED that they made S2 Yenn betray them, but I think S3 did an alright job of not retconning her, per se, but patching things up. Cuz it's NOT a good look to have your (REAL) main character (LOL) hated by the fandom for betraying her own "daughter." So was the domesticity hamfisted? YES. But was it necessary? GOD yes, otherwise what's the point of showing The Last Wish? They're supposed to be a FAMILY, so for god's sake start giving them scenes to actually SHOW us that--stfu about "destiny"!

Probably another unpopular opinion, but I liked Episode 7 with the unicorn. These are the kinds of adventures Ciri NEEDED in S1, running around some stupid empty forests doing NOTHING is different from learning how to survive on her own in a strange wilderness, encountering strange creatures, and tapping into the good AND bad sides of her magic.

And oooooh my god, the GOAT has returned.

A lot of...hrm...interesting conversations were had as Ciri was hallucinating in the desert, with love of my life Grandmama Calanthe, as well as Pavetta & Falka. It's a shame that Ciri didn't get this kind of development MUCH earlier in the series. Too little too late? We'll have to see where Ciri's plot goes with the Rats in S4 to find out if her new whole Chaos/Fire magic arc is worth it.

AT LONG EFFING LAST, we're getting some HANSE ACTION!!!

I've been SO EFFING SICK of Cahir. I'm glad Ciri finally got closure with him from SEASON ONE, and that he's FINALLY in the Hanse now--took y'all long enough, ffs! And Milva's interesting so far, so I'm glad to see her around, giving Geralt & Dandelion grief. So in S4 all we need now is Angie, and YA BOI!!! ^0^

THE BAD

I wish Mistle and the Rats were better established--the whole Wyvern thing wasn't done very well or made much sense, and Mistle & Ciri should've had WAY more scenes. I wasn't feeling any chemistry between them, which is annoying, since Ciri's a lesbian in my TW3 game--is the show gonna go with hetero Ciri instead? Or is her love of Mistle gonna be what pulls Ciri out of the Fire/Chaos dark arc they're teasing for S4? 👀

What's annoying is that we already had a Dark!Ciri arc in S2 though, and EVERYONE hated it. We see Yenn reconcile betraying Ciri, but where's Ciri reconciliation for slaughtering all those witchers at Kaer Morhen? 😡 First she's possessed by Voleth Mier, now she's possessed by Falka? This show's great at focusing on Yenn & the mages, but leaves Ciri in the same ditch over & over--it's irritating.

Ep5 was a LAME way to end the first half/"volume," I hated that episode. The whole ball just bored me, with the dancing and singing--I get it--"all is not *clap clap* as it seems," stfu already. I didn't care. It was OBVIOUS Stregebor was being framed; WTF was that mop on Istredd's head; WHY was Triss the only one with a braincell who cared that students were going missing when apparently the school's SO strict; why don't these mages start TELEPORTING for once, and stop running around SLOW AF; how the HECK did y'all let HUMAN Dijkstra jump a WHOLE SCHOOL OF MAGES--this is an utter embarrassment. Usually the mages are the only thing this show gets RIGHT, so to see them all faceplant like this was just baffling & frustrating.

And again with the monoliths--how do y'all NOT KNOW these things are here!? Same with the one hidden in Kaer Morhen, like REALLY? NO ONE's medallion is going off? Omg. Istredd! You STUDY these things! Start TEACHING these drunk AF mages a thing or two--this is why Vilgefortz and Dijikstra wiped the floor with y'all on your own turf! 🤦

THE UGLY

The pacing was SLOW AF. Episodes 3-5 particularly dragged.

Everything with Cahir I wish was in S2 instead. That elf was GORGEOUS and I hated to see him go, but what was the point of all that again? I almost expected him & Cahir to start banging! (My perv brain; I need help, y'all. U_U)

Speaking of!

ALLLLLLL this mess about Dandelion & Radovid.

What "ripple effects"? XD It was UNNECESSARY. We all know Radovid's a disgusting genocidal racist psychopath and Dandelion's a womanizing old man--I'm not interested in seeing Radovid going through all this effort to seduce Dandelion, just to DOUBLE CROSS him to get to Ciri, like wtF? TBH, I feel like we were queerbaited, yeah I said it. 😤

And it's SO unfair how we have alllll these sex scenes with naked women's vajayjays & boobs all over the place--even Philippa got in on the action, hey hey hey! ;) --but we never get to see man-on-man action!? Wow, they kissed, SO WHAT!? Men never get full frontal nudity and it ticks me off, cuz naked women are just all over TV, meanwhile the dudes don't show SQUAT, and it's happened AGAIN.

Anyways, those are my only real complaints; otherwise I liked S3, it was much better than S2 IMO. Just don't expect too much--turn your brain off, and accept that this show doesn't gaf about Geralt (or even Ciri really) whatsoever. I'm here for Yennefer, Vilgefortz, and to see the Lodge of Sorceresses make themselves an absolute menace under Philippa so that Radovid literally flips his wig (that horrible weave MUST go in S4) and effs everything up for mages & non-humans.

Mammon is indeed a sad sack of-

OK, finally, time to give my thoughts on this episode. I know it's been a while, and I normally don't take this long, but other stuff kept taking my energy, and I knew this was likely the last episode of the year, so I didn't wanna rush it out when I wasn't in any hurry.

Now, this episode...I don't have as much to say about it as I did about Oops. Everyone knows what's good about this episode. It isn't just entertaining, it isn't just funny, it isn't even just dramatic. It's a statement. In a way, this is kinda like Helluva's version of a Very Special Episode, but it doesn't come across as preachy in the slightest. It still feels like the same show, except it has a lot to say this time, and does practically all of it flawlessly. The messages within this story are all things viewers can take to heart and learn from. The most obvious one is about cutting toxic people and abusers from your life, but there's also stuff about how idols aren't always who you think they are, and about perfectionism and how it's OK to not always have to be The Best, which even I can relate to (with how often I bash my work for not being perfect), and even stuff about the entertainment industry, all of which other people have discussed by now. There's almost nothing new to add at this point.

Fizz is still a great character, and this episode made his relationship with Ozzie grow on me SO much. I love them together now! I love how Fizz pushes himself not just to please Mammon, but also because he fears that without Mammon, he'll lose everything he has including Ozzie. This isn't just him blindly idolizing Mammon, this is him believing that Mammon made him who he is and without that he's NOTHING. This hurt even more when you consider that Fizz was left crippled after the circus fire...He has REASONS to trust Mammon, who was likely the one who helped rebuild him after that, and just- aaaaaaaaarrrrggghhh!! You WANNA tell Fizz that Mammon shouldn't matter to him, but you SEE WHERE HE'S COMING FROM and it's- MAN it hurts!

"You're with me because of who I am at my best!" Dang, that line....I remember when Fizz appeared to be the picture of confidence, the foil to Blitzo's internal self-loathing. Yet another thing I got very wrong...

This is such a feel-good episode for Helluva standards...It has its harsh, raw moments, but the support Fizz receives from everyone around him at every corner, culminating in one of the most satisfying, happiest endings in the show...It's hard not to smile when it's over.

I loved seeing Ozzie calm Fizz down from his panic attack. That whole scene was just unbearably sweet, and cemented me as a Fizzarozzie supporter when I wasn't sure if I liked them before (that was really me just having to get used to them being nice guys and not villains).

And it wasn't just Ozzie - I loved having an immediate follow-up after Oops with Fizz and Blitzo, confirming that they're indeed on good terms again. I really like how Fizz doesn't pronounce the O in Blitzo anymore. And I just really like having another episode were Blitzo doesn't mess up at all - he's JUST patched things up with Fizz, so it's really cool to see that he intends to keep things like this and not lose his old friend again. He's really supportive of Fizz the whole time, and I like seeing him take a relationship seriously, as well as him seeing right through Mammon's BS.

And that scene with the deaf kid....c'mon. What more can I say about that? It's just perfect.

The only thing about this episode I didn't like at first was that creepy ex-fan of Fizz's. For a bit, I thought he was a pretty...pointless character. I didn't know why he needed to be there, and his scenes were just uncomfortable to watch for no reason. Mammon was already an effective villain who sets off Fizz's anxiety, and the Glam sisters could've also easily have taunted him more, since they were already showing off and getting attention. Just have the sisters rub their success in Fizz's face a bit more, have THAT make him panic, and there's no need for that guy.

But...now, after giving it some thought....I get why that guy needs to be there. He's there to show how, even if everyone else surrounds you with love, when even just one person hates you, that's the person who's words will still stick in your head. That guy was just one voice in the crowd, but he was the only one booing, and his voice stuck out to Fizz, who ended up giving him even more of an opening. I still don't like watching that guy, I think he's way too over-the-top and his toxic fan behavior is very exaggerated, but he definitely does his job at the end of the day.

So, yeah, the story's great, the messages are great, but I really have nothing new to say about either at this point. However, you wanna know what my FAVORITE part of this episode was?

The. Songs.

Holy crap, the FLIPPING SONGS-

Not gonna lie....Up till now, season 2's songs had really not been as good as season 1's. There hadn't really been any WOW songs yet. The only songs in season 2 that I'd really gone out of my way to listen to were "You Got The Power" and "Crashin' A Muthafuckin' Wedding", neither of which were amazing songs, just ones I have a soft spot for (The former, I just tend to really love 80s inspirational anthems and I think it's a good parody of one of those, and the latter, I think it's really catchy but I also admit to not liking it as much as a song on its own away from the awesome scene it plays during). Not to mention, most of them are pretty short? Which means less impact. The only song this season you could tell they were trying to make a scene out of was "Look At This!" which ironically had the opposite problem to me, overstaying its welcome.

But then.....THEN....we got this episode. And my wishes were granted. Every single song in this episode is phenomenal. "Klown Bitch" is super catchy and a lot of fun. "Crooked" is the sweetest thing I've ever heard (that "I think you're messy, but I'm messy too" line still melts my heart).

But....both of those songs, as great as they are, don't measure up to "Two Minutes Notice", the BEST song of the season so far, and my new second-favorite song in the whole show. I'm dead serious when I say that. I ADORE that song! I've listened to it on its own sooooo many times already! Everything about it just hits the spot for me! That big emotional release for Fizz as he FINALLY calls Mammon out for everything he's made him suffer through, Mammon not realizing it's directed at him until that uber satisfying namedrop towards the end, was brilliant. The lyrics are both meaningful ("I have suffered for profit and suckered for fame / Made a fortune you could steal") AND funny ("Kiss my ass goodbye, you CUCK")! Music-wise, it's SUPER climactic, with a nice big chorus, and that part where Fizz gets the audience clapping along is super catchy! And not only is the song incredible, but we get three whole minutes of it! A whole scene, dedicated to a song THIS FLIPPING GOOD!! I literally could NOT ask for more!

So....yeah, this episode is GREAT. There's not really any issues with it! It's a really good self-contained story, extremely satisfying, very real in places, and Fizz and Ozzie are super cute! Sure, Mammon isn't very interesting, but he does his job, too!

I keep seeing people say this is an absolute masterpiece and the best episode of the season...maybe even of the whole show. And if you're someone who has that opinion, I completely understand why. The story can really hit home to a lot of people. People like Mammon really do exist out there, and if you know someone like that, I get why seeing Fizz get away can be extremely satisfying. Buuuuut, for me personally....

This...isn't my favorite episode of the season. It's actually third place for me. I like Oops and Exes And Oohs more.

N-now, lemme try to explain why-

This episode just...doesn't hit me as hard as those two did. And I think I figured out why.

It's cuz....this is literally our first time seeing Mammon at all. And Fizz broke free of him in one episode. I feel like if we'd known Mammon longer, it'd hit harder to see Fizz earn his freedom, but no, he quits at the end of their first episode together. This is why I said this episode is a good self-contained story. When you place it in the timeline of the show, it feels like it happens way too fast. Thankfully, it still WORKS, mainly cuz I care about Fizz, and the episode DOES give us JUST enough moments of Mammon's abuse that we're able to get the gist of their relationship, but it does cause the episode to lose a bit of impact it could've potentially had if we'd had more Mammon beforehand. Compare this to Oops, which almost had me in tears.

Sure, the emotional moments here still hit, particularly the stuff with Fizz's panic attack, but none of it carries the same weight as Blitzo shouting "I DID CARE!" I saw a few people say the ending to that episode was rushed, but I personally didn't care cuz....it's Blitzo, the guy in every single episode, breaking down and pouring his heart out. We know him, we know how his mind works, and seeing that flashback made the whole experience satisfying when he finally mends a relationship.

As for Exes And Oohs...now that I think about it, that episode is....kiiiiinda similar to this one? In that, we learn that one of my fav characters has been suffering under the boot of an abusive father figure and the episode features him standing up against that father figure. Moxxie and Fizzarolli are my two fav characters in Helluva Boss, but of the two, I've always related to Moxxie harder. I don't love Fizz for relatability. The only thing I relate to Fizz on is being a perfectionist. Everything else he's had to go through - being exploited and marketed against his will, having to deal with toxic fans, etc. - are thankfully things I have no experience with. But Moxxie's near-constant battles with his self-esteem? I always feel those so badly. Not to mention that Exes And Oohs recontexualized nearly ALL of Moxxie's character and cast him in a tragic light (I explained it in a past post), when I thought I knew him so well. Not to mention.....something I've never talked about with Exes And Oohs is that, despite how dramatic its stakes are....it also manages to be a really funny episode too? Like, it legit has some of my fav jokes of the whole season still. It's just a very well-rounded episode that made me understand one of my fav characters more.

This episode was really really good, but it lacks the impact of those other two cuz I feel like it didn't have enough buildup. That's really about it. And that's just my opinion. If it's your favorite episode, I understand why completely. Everything else about it is flawless. I have zero complaints. I'm happy Fizz is outta there, and I'm curious to see what he's gonna do now. I love the stuff with Ozzie, I love the stuff with Blitzo, and above all, I'm super happy that I FINALLY got my big Wow Song from season 2.

And we're only halfway through the season, holy fffffffff- W-we still have time to get even more good songs- H-how many have they saved up? We'll see XD

One more thing this episode did.....was it finally helped me move on from my old image of Fizz. I'm ready to let go of him for good now.

So, like I said in my Oops post....in the interim between Ozzie's and Oops, I got excited to see Fizz again, and built him up in my head as who Ozzie's prepared me for....a villainous Fizz. I thought he was gonna be this sadistic, chaotic force with a grudge against Blitzo, who would turn on a dime from being goofy to being cruel, yet still with the ham and charisma of a performer. I would imagine him mercilessly taunting Blitzo and using their history together as friends as ammo to tear Blitzo down. He was the shadow of Blitzo's past mistakes, a monster he created, and he'd NEVER let him live it down. I was very disappointed when the real Fizz wasn't like that at all, but decided I liked him anyway (in a different way).

Now, after this episode, I can say....it's better this way. The Fizz we have is a much more dynamic character than what that would've been.

When I think of "my" Fizz (I feel weird saying "my" Fizz, so I'll say villain!Fizz or Ringleader!Fizz after the old fan song "The Ringleader" by PARANOID DJ, which if you listen to it, gives you a pretty good idea of how I perceived his character after Ozzie's, if you're curious), yeah, he would've been FUN, but he wouldn't have been very original. Not only do we have a lot of villains in Helluva, but even in terms of the imp villain with parallels to Blitzo, we already have Striker. Ringleader!Fizz would've been another Striker but with a goofy exterior and a more personal connection to Blitzo. That's pretty much it. Striker even has the sadist angle, too.

I still love Ozzie's to death, but man, that episode is aging really weirdly as time passes, huh? XD Knowing my fav song was sung by...two of the nicest characters in the show....pfffff....Sorry, Stolas, geez....

S-sorry about the tangent-

U-uh....yeah....good episode, can't wait to see what we get next year! I don't really have any hopes for next episode except....I miss Moxxie. Now that I feel satiated on Fizz content after these past two episodes, I miss my other boi. Lemme see him soon. Also, for the rest of the season overall....LOONA EPISODE PLEASE. I can completely understand if some people are frustrated that Fizz, a supporting character, has gotten two episodes this season while Loona has had NOTHING outside of that one scene in Seeing Stars. And finally.....what's going on with Stolas and the crystal situation? What's Blizo gonna think about this? I think this is gonna set up for some kinda misunderstanding where Blitzo will think Stolas doesn't want anything to do with him anymore and UGH, just get it over with already!!

All righty I’ve finished science brofist’s route and that means more rambling! (Seriously though everyone sees his name as that right?? How the hell else am I supposed to pronounce Scien Brofiise??? It sure as hell ain’t how they say it in Japanese! 😂) spoilers under the cut as usual

Hmm… overall while I liked it, I think I’ve been so thoroughly emotionally and mentally broken by Mathis and Lucas that Scien’s route seemed pretty… tame in comparison LOLOL 💀 or maybe I’m still on residual WTFs from Lucas and should’ve waited another day to let it settle oops

The pain meter from these first three to me is Lucas > Mathis > Scien

The ending was definitely still a big oof and a little yikes though 😬. But with how dubious the “science” is in this game, part of me was wondering why Scien couldn’t just make a clone from Ceres’s body and then stick the memories he had into her after? Like people save memory backups of themselves prior to dying so why couldn’t he have saved her memories on whatever constitutes a USB stick in this world lmao

The science in this game in general honestly I just… can’t think about too deeply or it all falls apart LOL, being in like the medieval ages where you still gotta hand wash clothes but then suddenly having shit like electric cars, headset phones, touch-holograms, and perfect cloning with memories but not emotions is such whiplash 😂

The final CG was super pretty though, oof the expression on his face, my poor babygirl 😩 but… why are all the kiss CGs… not super great LOL, is the artist bad at drawing kisses? Because so far they’ve all looked a little uhhhh in each route? 😬😂

I very much appreciate the fact though that Scien’s best CGs are hands down the ones where he’s posing like a lil slut lmaooo, the jigsaw puzzle one?? Bitch he’s practically twirling his hair!! 😂

And his interactions with Ceres were very cute, especially the whole sandwich thing! But when she was like yay I’m so happy I’ve been promoted from maid to a sandwich dispenser! Anyways! Back to the route in general - the whole thing of him being an oh no evil science man was so… meh to me? Maybe because I work in the sciences so I have a different view but like, I was perfectly fine with him experimenting on criminals? That’s pretty much what clinical trials are in the real world?? Of course you need to test shit on a few people before giving stuff out to the the general populace??? Why are people upset at this????

It was nice learning a bit more about Salome (though tbh I thought her backstory and relationship to scien would be… more significant LOL). And kinda weird that they left her mumbling when they were in hiding as “…” instead of maybe just quickly forcing the text to go through, because my limited amount of Japanese from anime let me understand the gist of what she was saying and oh. Gives a bit of a different vibe knowing what she said vs it having to be explained

Hey do you mind going a little more indepth on the whole fandom batcat thing? I totally get what you mean with spideypool and in general alot of bat ships tend to be blorbo-fied but I always thought batcat was a bit more realistic

First of all SORRY THIS TOOK A DAY OR TWO i wrote half of this response and then forgot to finish wksjsj

I do think batcat is a more realistic ship for batman in general! There's so many good reasons why bat and cat work well together (similar motivations, arguably similar priorities in that they both to their bones feel Gotham is their home and want to make it better, similar moral codes (despite her being a thief), etc.) even if the some of the recent batcat comics haven't been... great characterization wise (Tom King my beloathed)

My issue comes from kinda like with when people make Spidey pool aus with their blorbos, esp since the 2022 Batman movie came out I've been seeing a lot of batcat aus with people's blorbos and idk, some of it doesn't sit right!

Part of it I think is that so often people replace Catwoman with a white dude and while Catwoman isn't always a woman of color, she definitely is in the movie they are pulling from so that always feels a little sketchy to me. Some of it is that people obviously don't really know Selina outside of Bruce which can also make any blorbo adaption of them feel weird. Which is sad because Selina is awesome!

Selina is an amazing foil to Bruce, but also really dang cool on her own whether she is wrangling the Gotham organized crime scene like she has in recent comics, or simply taking young sex workers under her wing and giving them a place to get on their feet like she was often seen doing in the New Earth era!

(Honestly, even when she is just being a more "shallow" villain and just stealing cat themed items from museums and also having psychic connections to her cats is fun too.)

Controversial opinion, but I think people just get to stuck on trying to fit their blorbos into preconceived boxes based on comic power couples, and that superhero aus would be way more fun if they utilized lesser known ships, or learned the truth that comic book fans know, which is that at any time your fave could suddenly be in a whirlwind romance with a teammate or random other cape. Match up your blorbos with a character that actually fits them and shipping will come later ;P

Just realized that through the Freaky Friday fic, you technically wrote your pet peeve “Benrey loses powers and is freaked out by being normal human” story but balanced it out by making it share the space with the MUCH less utilized trope of “Gordon GAINS powers and is freaked out by being non-human”

also balanced it out by making the change not permanent. 'cause what i really hate the most about nerf'd benrey fics is when he loses his powers/becomes human forever. (it's even worse when this is treated like a GOOD thing to happen to/for him. there was one fic i read that had ben come to the conclusion that having powers/not being a regular human was somehow keeping him from learning to a good person. which just makes me incredibly sad.) but yeah a body swap situation is p much one of the ONLY times i'm chill with benrey losing his powers. because it's not permanent, and like you mentioned, it's also real fun to see who he swapped bodies with having to deal with suddenly having all his fucked up powers and alien senses :P the other one that doesn't bug me is if like, he's just severely weakened after respawning from the xen fight for one reason or another, but still gets all his powers back in the end once he fully regains his strength. this one can make for some nice hurt/comfort sick fic kinda stuff, which is fun. i kinda wanna write me one of those sometime (but not before getting to the dang thingvrai fic oops)

The Eclipse Ep 12 Finale Live Blogging

watching it 13 hours after it premiered because of my night midterm lol so it’s really ending huh. ngl i’m not anticipating it as much as i was the middle few eps bc ep 11 part 4 is making me nervous about this last ep but whew, hope it’s a good one

Part 1

This meeting... so scary from the very first moment, I hate the thought of having to sit in front of any committee anything

Oops, got distracted last night and suddenly it was 4am so I went to sleep, so I’m watching at 1 the next day.

it’s just a bit weird to see Chadok be so different than how he was till ep 10 like obviously we’re seeing different, more true sides to him but it’s jarring and idk if the change has been done well. like we could’ve had him as a cautionary tale and seeing akk’s future in him without him suddenly being turned into such a sympathetic character. like i still don’t care about him but the show acts like i should be touched by him and like hmmm no you could’ve made him more interesting if he was still a dynamic character rather than going from kinda one-note villain to one-note sad guy. like both of these aspects of him could’ve worked together to make a more interesting character. whatever why am i writing this long ass paragraph for him

Part 2

damn, a two second apology to the Jums from both Akk and Thua? are we for real or will there be more?

and Akk calling Thua his friend like this would’ve been good if we actually saw them having more of a conversation and coming to terms with what they’ve done rather than just creating the movie and then being fine with each other again. 

The show dealt with the fallout and conversations in ep 6 so well, so it’s disappointing that it’s so weak and disjointed in these last 2 eps

Damn, Akk’s parents so kind; taking the news of the suspension with gravity but not unkindness. First did so good at being Akk for those 2 minutes though, the emotions really shone through

Watching BLs is just me sometimes being consumed by wishing my parents were like some of these parents. this damn coming out scene aghhhh T.T just like with HCTM and Be Loved In House, I’m suchhhh a sucker for the child being like </3 sorry for disappointing you and then the parent(s) saying nooo not disappointed

Ep 11 part 4's flaws kinda continued onto this ep, so I'm not as satisfied with the ending as I would've liked (I just think they did a really great job with character development in the middle few episodes, so it was even more disappointing to see the tonal and character issues here in the end) but in terms of Ayan/Akk relationship + Akk's parents, I liked it

I think neither Chadok nor Thua's twists worked for me because I need the characters after the twist to still reflect who they were before and during the twist. for thua we're acting as if the whole speech that showed a different side of him didn't happen. for chadok the twist turned him into a completely different person; it makes sense in a way that his relationship with dika coming out opened the floodgates and he is a changed man now but the disconnect from him in the first 10 eps is hard to reconcile with how they're positioning him in these 2 eps. i have a clear idea of how they could've make thua's arc better but i don't really know what i would've liked from chadok except i don't like that it feels like 2 distinct characters before and after the reveal

oh yeah another thing with Chadok is I guess it's good that he resigned but... is it? We see at the end at the school is progressing but he hadn't known how the school would react to it all, maybe it'd try to stand still and continue punishing the protestors. so when he finally has the courage to not blindly follow suppalo rules, he just leaves and removes himself from the equation instead of trying to improve the situation and help sani (who is a very new teacher as well) and whichever other teacher would like to him. like idk now that you've changed, try to improve the environment you've created at this school over decade. 

Maybe Chadok removing himself from the school and its rules and the principal was the best thing for him but is still not narratively satisfying to me. Definitely wouldn't be easy for Sani to make changes if the principal hired another staunch Suppalo rules supporter to replace Chadok. Could've waited a few weeks/months to see through some changes and then resigned when we saw the improvements at the end of the episode like ah, i've done my best but i must remove myself now for my well-being.

For Thua, flawed characters who make terrible decisions are good and fun and interesting characters only if their actions are dissected and we get to actually explore their actions and reasonings for more than 10 minutes before we ignore it all. i know the writers could’ve done better with thua so it’s annoying that they dropped the ball on that one. the other characters’ reactions to thua were just so empty, it was such a contrast to my own thoughts and audience reaction. wild

yknow i liked Akk’s breakdown on the roof because it’s not like self acceptance, esp if you’re in an unaccepting community and think your queerness will disappoint everyone, is an easy A to B path. some days it may be easier to accept or it may be easier to quietly have a boyfriend but not express out loud on camera that you’re gay and proud. realizing he’s playing a character who is in a better place than he is and being unable to emulate it really hit for me.  but then that upsets me more that we didn’t get to see akk and thua talk about thua outing him in front of so many people but they’re just friends in the next episode like k

Fave Scene: 

Ayan and Akk being cute in different moments like when they were arguing in part 4 about who did better on the test and the “blah blah blah” so cute

Overall

I'm thinking an 8 because I enjoyed the middle few episodes immensely, as well Ayan/Akk + the acting + how the plot and themes were handled for those episodes but the ending definitely took a hit and I wish it had tighter/cleaner writing and editing in general.

The show tackled interesting topics, including societal expectations and the status quo, fighting back, how characters we want to root for can be doing bad things and how they grow from it, mental illness, all the intersectionality of like queerness and financial situation and mental illness. It didn’t hit the mark for all of them because I think the script needed to be tightened and the editing needed to be stronger but it was well enough considering the budget + them filming and doing post-production while it was airing.

I loved Ayan/Akk soooo much, definitely one of my favourite couples of the year. I think I’m a bit burned out on them after checking in weekly for like 3 months straight but I imagine in a few weeks I’ll love them again. Think they’re one of my favourite couples of the year.

Kan/Thua were also really good, especially in ep 10; sad that the lack of communication after Thua’s stint caused me to not like them as much.

I’ve watched parts of this before in gifs and clips (and maybe the first minute?). It’s definitely visually darker and more moody than the actual show ended up being. It really does seem to have a fantasy, perhaps time-travelling aspect to it. It’s cool even though it’s rough looking, makes it a bit raw.

This trailer definitely focuses more on the relationship between Ayan and Akk and less on the protests and politics than the previous trailer and also some eps of the show. 

Neither trailer was super incredible the way Bad Buddy OG trailer was nor as engaging and interest-piquing as Not Me both trailers were but it’s not a bad trailer either.

As I was making that cursed SakuAtsu fanfic rec post (it really is cursed, but it’ll get done eventually cause I do love the SakuAtsu too much, when tho? only god know LOL), I decided that if I’m gonna finish it, imma have to break it up. SO that’s why this is our lovely series edition post LOL. Originally, it WAS writers, tags, series, then single fics BUT I decided to scrap tags and even then I was like it’s too long..... And so, this post materialized LOL (mayhaps writers next? who knows anymore cause I certainly don’t LOL). These are ONLY some of the series that I absolutely adore, and I say some because 1) the tag is literally like 4k fics long and I was on like page 20 something and I have SO many tabs open rn for SakuAtsu, so chances are I missed one or five LOL :’((((( and 2) my ao3 account hasn’t been made yet (should’ve done this a looooooong time ago) and so I don’t have them all saved anywhere :( (these just sound like excuses LMFAO) So these are just the ones I saw and was like OOP I LOVE and then added LOL (and so they’re in no particular order hehe). Please read ALL the tags before going into any of the fics in this series because there’s some real spicy stuff that may not be your cup of tea!

your highs and lows by astroeulogy (T,M,E) // this fic made me go on a roller coaster of feels from start to (tentative) finish :))) It’s great and I love it AHHHHH The progression in their relationship is just so ajfkjsf, and I just adore how Atsumu just broke(?) during that first fic and the number of double takes he did, v relatable LOL.

Different Kinds of Dysfunctional by DeathBelle (T,E) // I LOVE the entrance to this fic and how it flowed so well. I think Atsumu is characterized really well throughout this series (I could totally see Atsumu bringing the same thing up over and over again LOL), and his development was done beautifully (You just want to make me say it.,,, Kinda, yeah.). I really freakin love this series so please go ahead and read it don’t be shy hehehe.

we call everything on the ice, "love" by awkwardedgeworth (T) // I LOVE this fic omg,,, it’s in series, but it’s only two fics LOL... Anyway, Notte Stellata is one of my favorite SakuAtsu fics and I have reread it way TOO many times and the fanpage fic IS SO AMAZING (AND FUNNY ASF PLS). I really love ice skating AU’s too so this really made this ‘series’ all the more better <333333

know you better & related stories by theglitterati (T,M,E) // this is definitely one of the best relationship development series I’ve read, I love it so much! It really touches all the bases, and the progression is just SO good. It really is the fic version of the get along shirt, extended edition LOL.

flutterbird (a collection of sakuatsu one-shots) by wordstruck (T,M,E) // this series is such an easy pick up because it’s a bunch of one-shots (esp. if you’re not into smut cause there is some), BUT all of them are def worth a read. Personally, the third one, the sakusa kiyoomi listography, is my favorite (cause imma sucker for Sakusa), but that’s just personal preference hehe :)

Atsumu + Sakusa + The National = ? by isaksara (syailendra) (T,M) // this is another stand alone fic series but with AUs :D I don’t even know like most (ie. all) of the references (LMFAO), but I still read all of them LOL. Again, a personal favorite (without any references LOL) is the second one, famous angels (never come through england), it’s really funny and good and I just love it okay?

Better For Us Both by abrandnewheart (M) // (this was CP from my angst fic rec post LOL tho it is slightly edited cause istg my writing style changes every post LOL) THE MUG FIC. There is a sequel and when I saw it, it took me another week to read it cause I was like,,, am I ready to have my heart break again? No LOL. But the sequel is actually not as angst (but there’s still angst), so if you want to be like semi-broken or whatever, just read the sequel LOL (also it’s Sakusa POV HEHE). It’s so sad and it made me physically hurt every time someone even mentioned mugs afterwards (LOL why am I so dramatic but it’s the truth :///). Go ahead and hurt with me. You should read it even if you don’t like angst because you know what they say, no pain no gain :’)

parallax error: angle of inclination by min_mintobe (T) // okay so technically this ‘isn’t a series’, but it is two fic that are related, and what is that if not A SERIES :DDDDD Anyway, I really love this fic enough that I would find loopholes in my own dang post to recommend it LOL. I really love the service ace bet between Sakusa and Atsumu (I do think it is a superior headcannon (it’s hc right?)) but I also love what’s left unsaid by both in each other’s POVs hehe. If you want to go straight to Sakusa’s POV (cause their different POVs of the same fic), here it is parallax error: line of sight. You can read either first, but I recommend you read both eventually :)

to make any other mistake by honeymilktea (rosevtea) (T) // I, myself, am a very big fan of college Haikyuu (tho idk if it seems like that LOL), and this fic is very much up my alley hehe. I really like the idea that they are both TA’s and that Atsumu would totally bribe Sakusa into fake dating him as well as Sakusa wearing his brightest outfits to spite Atsumu.

How Do You Know? by awkwardedgeworth (T) // these fics are both so funny omg. The google search histories, the trial and error, and just everything in these two fics gives me so much dopamine LOL. There’s one POV for both end of the ship, though their tragedies are slightly different.

the human disaster chronicles by firtree (G,T) // is this another Atsumu gay panic fic? Yes, yes it is and I have absolutely no shame in recommending it hehe. I realllllllly like this fic and Atsumu having a break down cause Sakusa didn’t follow his routine? It is the move. Anyway, pls read this series cause like the title suggests, it really is a disaster (but at least there’s love right? LOL).

I Love You (Though it's Inadvisable) by Anubis_2701 (T) // okay the series itself is a wip (as in only one fic for now LOL), but the fic is so good, I couldn’t leave it off :))))) First, I do love a good soulmate AU and although I’m not a big fan on the body switching AUs, THIS one was SO good!!! It gets really cheesy and fluff at the end, but the beginning of this fic was just so immaculate, that we’re gonna ignore how much the ending made me want to stick my head into a hole (cause it was so FLUFF OMG).

The Germaphobe and the Asshole by metaandpotatoes (T,E) // so this series is also actually a WIP, but it’s okay I only read the first and the last one anyway cause they’re basically stand alone’s LOL. This series focuses a lot on Sakusa’s mysophobia, so if you’re not a fan of the hc, you should prolly pass hehe. TBH, my favorite is the third one, Avoidance Behavior, but that’s mainly cause I really like SunaOsa and I love the brother bond in it!

you are the cause of my euphoria by SugarHighs (T) // ajsfljksadhjkdfk is my first thoughts while reading this series cause ATSUMU WOULD. He would start posting thirst trap pics (which really reminded me of Wonho) in order to prove he was the most good looking member of MSBY. Tho, we do love the clowning of one Sakusa Kiyoomi, as done in the third fic (PLEASE NUMBER 17 AND Cheezel). Even if you can’t get yourself to read the other fics, read the third one, 5 Ways To Tell If The Person You're Dating Is The One, for the free serotonin boost plsplspls.

I REALLY love this writer, and this one is so funny but cute at the same time. It’s another two POV fic, but you’ll want to read this one in order hehe. Again, the ending is so FLUFF, that my head wanted to take a visit to the underground BUT ITS OKAY.

Anyway, there’s some really cute Sakusa in this one (esp. when he talks to the boy at the village LOVE HIM) and a healthy amount of angst as well. I really like this fic and guess what it is? Say it with me, COLLEGE AU LOL.

Yup and I think that says something LOL (tbh I like some of their stand alone fics more tho LMFAO but that doesn’t mean these series are bad nononono not at ALL (this sounded sarcastic but that was not the intention LOL)). This one is ~magical~ (v literally) and has some kinky stuff (holy water ftw) in it, so tread carefully :) I would make sure to read the tags before each one because it gets kinda steamy LOL.

^^ if I had to choose between these three, I liked and i press you to the pages of my heart the most just cause the plot was my type LOL. But they’re all good hehe.

a study on you(th) and reverie by sieges (G,T) // this series is such a sad series :( The first two are the only SakuAtsu but the third one is an angst Osamu one so there’s that LOL (and ofc the fourth one is KuniYama (is that their ship name idk)) But the first one is a moving on fic (which I liked) and the second is like basically a fake break up (which I liked more LOL) and both have some nice shares of angst and fluff so choose your battles wisely (or just read both LOL).

Burden of Blame by DeathBelle (E) // CHECK WARINGS, TAGS, and SUMMARIES!!! ah yes, the mafia fic LOL. I REALLY LOVE THIS FIC. I felt so bad for Atsumu the entire fic and yes it is, ATSUMU BEST BOY time. Did I really just recommend this series AGAIN for the THIRD TIME in THREE SEPARATE POSTS? Apparently LMFAO I didn’t even know TBH LOL. I just really like this one,,,,,, okay? But pls Atsumu just here for the ride man cause he BEST BOY. OKAY so that’s most of the series that I saw and was like gotta put this here LOL. And do you see how long this is (I know I’m missing so many series I like istg when I find them later imma cry or just make another post LOL).... Can you imagine how long my actual fic fic one is LOL (i’m not kidding tho it’s so long I might just do fics with their actual summaries instead of adding my invalid, piss poor reviews :/). Ugh the more I think about it, the more I lose motivation to finish LMFAO, so imma go be no thoughts head empty, but I hope you enjoyed reading these series! I love SakuAtsu SO much, so there’s lots more to come (is that good or bad idek). Quirkless Hero

Bakugou x f!reader

Y/n is quirkless. Has been and always will be(well kinda of that is), but that's never stop her from getting strong to be a hero. Walls that seem to be unbreakable appear in her life, but that doesn't stop her. Until a wall greater than she's ever faced shows up. She begins to question if she should just give being a hero or continue to move forward and still try. As she thinks about giving up, a certain ash blonde decides to help her break down this wall alongside her.

Prologue

Words: 1698

Have you ever come across a wall in your life that came out of nowhere,

"Come on sweetheart! It's time for your doctor's appointment!"

"Coming mom!" The little girl comes running through the house to the front door. She plops down on the ground and begins to put on her shoes.

Her mom looks down at her sternly, "Y/n, what have we talked about with running through the house?"

A pout formed on the little girl's lips. "That I could get hurt and need to stop doing it." She looked up at her mom from the ground, "Sorry mama."

A soft smile made its way to her mom's mouth, "Now hurry up and put your shoes on, don't want to be late do you?" Y/n eyes sparkled and quickly went back to putting on her shoes. When she was done, she hopped up and grabbed her mom's hand jumping up and down.

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!"

Her mom let out a small laugh, "Okay, okay. We're going, calm down."  Hana grabbed her purse and keys, walking out the door with Y/n still holding her hand.

And you feel like you don't know how to get past it.

"What? But, are you sure?"

The young doctor let out a sad sigh, "I'm afraid so." He turns to the x-ray on the wall. "She has the joint in her pinky toe. I'm sorry."

Quirkless. I'm quirkless.

Tears pricked in the small four-year-olds eyes. Now what? She can't be a hero like she wanted to anymore. She wasn't going to be able to stop villains alongside her cousin when she gets older as they both promised. All her dreams got crushed in an instant. How was she going to tell him they no longer could be hero's together?

-Time-skip-

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Hana walked over to the front door and opened it. "Why hello Ejirou!"

"Hi, aunt Hana!" The small black-haired boy gave her a bright smile and an excited wave. The tall woman behind him chuckled.

"He's been excited to come over all day." She spoke in her son's defense as she watched him quickly take off his shoes so he could go find his cousin.

Hana let out a small laugh and moved aside for her sister to come in. "What can you say? Those two are two peas in a pod." Akari(this Kirishima's mom's name for the story) walked in to set down her things and to take off her shoes.

She then turned to her sister with a sad face, "She's really quirkless, huh?"

Hana let out a deep sigh, "She is," she looked at a picture of her daughter on the wall next to her, "and she's absolutely devastated." Akari walked over to her sister, pulling her into a side hug. She too looked at the picture on the wall. It was a recent one from this year. It was of Y/n and Ejirou from her fourth birthday party. They were sitting side by side hugging each other, smiling wildly.

But there's a small ray of hope, that maybe, just maybe, you can break it down.

Ejirou ran through the living room and into the hallway. He was just about to Y/n's room, when his uncle steps into the hallway out of the bathroom, causing the red-eyed boy to collide with him and fall over.

"Oops! Sorry, uncle Ren!" Kirishima exclaimed. He stood up from the ground and dusted himself off.

"It's alright kiddo! Just don't run next time." Ren reached down and ruffled his nephew's hair. "Are you going to go play with Y/n Ei?"

"Yep!" Ejirou replied with a big toothy smile.

Ren let out a sigh. "Try and cheer her up for me while you're in there, alright?"

The small boy looked at his uncle confused. "She's sad? Why?" Ren could tell that he was very concerned for his daughter from the look on the boy's face. He smiled.

'So he doesn't know yet'

"She's going to have to tell you herself, alright?"

"Okay! I'll go cheer her up!" He gave another smile and this time walked to his cousin's room. He reached for the doorknob and opened the door. All the lights in the room were off. He turned and stood on his tiptoes to turn the lights on. He noticed a big mound of blankets on Y/n's bed.

'There she is!'

He walked over to the mound of blankets. He pulled the top one off revealing a messy mop of h/c hair. He giggled.

"Hey, Y/n!"

The little girl emerged from her igloo of blankets and pushed them on the floor. Her hair was a mess as if she had just woke up from a nap. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying. She turned to her cousin with weary eyes.

"Hi, Ei." She spoke quietly. She didn't look at him, only her small hands in her lap. Ejirou climbed up on the bed and sat next to her. He looked at her concerned.

"Are you okay n/n(nickname)?"

Years bubbled in the girl's eyes. Her lip jutted out. She slowly turned her head to look at the Ejirou.

"I can't be a hero with you anymore!" She said with a slight sob. Ejirou looked at her with both a puzzled and worried face.

"W-why?" He tried to look at her in the eyes but her head was down with her eyes closed.

She let out a whisper, "Because I'm quirkless." She rubbed the tears from her cheeks and eyes then finally looked up into her cousin's bright red eyes. He had a determined look on his face.

"That's not true! I think you can still be a hero even if you're quirkless!" He hops off the bed and puts his hands on his hips, still having a determined look. "You and I will be the best heroes ever! And you will be the world's best quirkless hero!" He held out his hand with a wide smile, " So what do you say? Are you still going to be the best hero with me?"

The small h/c hairs girl looked at him with eyes. "You really think I can?"

"Yup!" Ejirou with lots of excitement. Y/n face scrunched as she thought for a second. She hopped off the bed with a determined smile grabbing her cousin's hands.

"I'll do it!"

Then slowly but surely, that wall begins to break down opening a path to your next obstacle.

(POV change)

Thud!

"I don't even know why you're here?" The boy who pushed you down towered over you. A glint of hate and disgust in his eyes. You looked up at him propping yourself on one elbow as you touched your left cheek. The cheek he punched right before he pushed on the hard tile floor of the school. It's only been a week and this jerk was bullying you. Why? Well, you were a quirkless girl at a school that was made for people who had quirks to become hero's that you so happen to attend, and in this boy's eyes, that wasn't right.

"You wanna know why I'm here?" You looked at him straight in the eyes as if you were challenging him(well, you sorta were). You slowly sat onto your bum. Then proceeded to stand up. Not daring to take your eyes off the boy in front of you. "I made a promise to someone important to me that we would be hero's together. That I would be the world's best quirkless hero. No one, not even you, is going to get in my way.”

He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "You won't survive a week as a pro before getting your quirkless butt killed." With that, he turned around and walked away.

You backed up to the wall and slid down. A heavy sigh left your mouth as you did so. You brought your knees up to your chest resting your head on them.

"So this is how-'

"Dang, it's already been a week and you got into a fight." A person that was walking towards you chuckled. You looked up and raised your brow at him.

"And you just let it happen?" You retorted with annoyance in your voice. You looked up at the boy now in front of you.

He let out another chuckle. "I could tell you had it handled ." He sat down beside you and crossed his legs.

You shot back a remark. "After what? Me getting pushed over?" You still had a glare on your face.

He looked down at his hands and breathed out. He turned back to you with a small smile. "I was going to help you after he did that," he paused looking you in the eyes still with a small, soft smile, "but once you got back up and looked at him dead in the eyes, I knew you had it covered."

You looked away, pink coming to your cheeks. "Thanks. I've never had a lot of people believe in me like that." You looked back at him with a smile. Your body relaxed and your legs now cross-legged like his. Your heartbeat picked up.

"Well, now you have some else who believes in you."

You both sat there for a second and looked at each other smiling. Both of each other's cheeks slightly pink. As you sat there you admired his features. He has short messy ash brown hair and vibrant green eyes. Under his left eye, he has a single, small freckle. His skin is clean and an ivory tone. It looked smooth and soft. Before you could continue to admire him, he released you from your trance.

"Hara Kenji." He held his hand out towards you still smiling.

"Oh uh, L/n F/n." You stuttered out grabbing his hand in return. "Nice to meet you."

He chuckled, "Nice to meet you too."
