These two are going to be somewhat important to the AU, Dandy especially. I decided for a video game esque feel because I thought it would be fun.

Video is set in 1990, both are still teens in this point in the timeline.

Sorry if the script is missing some parts, it had to quickly be rewritten after our Arthur voice actor had to leave for something. Funny how fitting that is. Enjoy!

OKAY OKAY OKAY SENDING IN ANOTHER ONE TODAY BC I WAS MAKING HC'S IN THE BLUSHCRUNCH SERVER

Okay soooo y'know one hc that got sent in a while ago with Glisten and the teleporting constantly until he got too dizzy and confused / passed out?

What if there were times when Glisten started getting disoriented enough that he was accidentally crashing and banging into stuff when teleporting, and he'd wave it off and work through it when other Toons came to check on what the noises were. Until they would end up in the glass on his face cracking or chipping. Then it would result in him dropping the trick immediately and start spiralling in his daze.

When the humans were still at Gardenview, I like to think that when this happened, Delilah would personally fix his face for him and comfort him until the dizziness and confusion passed. I like the idea that the two of them would bond over their anxieties with perfectionism (with Delilah wanting to make sure that the Toons were always made perfectly), and she'd be sort of like a secondary Toon Handler for Glisten (or honourary Toon Handler, if we go with the theory that only Mains had handlers).

(I WILL die on the hill of Delilah being just as morally grey as Dandy and caring for the Toons in her own way, usually by fixing them up when they're hurt and trying to help them as best that she can with their anxieties).

Dandy : It was hard. Confusing. We were still growing up at that point, it was far from opening the center. We only had each other at that point... besides Delilah and Arthur, but they were different from us. So much different.

it’s time for some founder / toon handler headcanons because i love them so much

anyways. a lot of these are inspired from one person but idk who it is but i love it so much so these are NOT MINE.. they belong to someone else

so. arthur created the idea of the toons - he was the one mainly responsible for giving them their bare designs, personalities, etc. delilah was the one who physically brought them to life, but she did also have a factor in how the toons came out. but like. she did it way too quickly, and didn’t allow her body to recover, because CREATING A SENTIENT CREATURE out of ICHOR is going to take a bit of work. so her health kind of degraded over time

for the holiday toons, they obviously only came around during the holidays, but when those were over, they would kind of become a lot more tired and eepy. and all the toons n staff would be like “???? what the fuck are they dying” but it was just because they were kind of only geared towards the holidays, so.. no holidays, no.. real reason to live. to put it bluntly.

so when the holidays are over, they lowkey just hibernate together :)

this is kind of my addition now

also! after gardenview shut down, the founders placed all the toons (including holiday ones) in the building, just so that they could be kept in one place. they didn’t stop hibernating, so when they woke up and saw the place like freaking ruined, they were obviously devastated

While you didn’t get your cartoon debut, you still made quite the splash at Gardenview, but you couldn’t really enjoy your time back then thanks to Delilah Keen.

Note about the most recent Toon for Delilah

“Delilah, I need to ask you about something in regard to the latest Toon created recently. I understand that you tend to get a little attached whenever you bring the Toons to life, but the attachment you’re showing with the latest one is..not normal, to say the least. Could you make sure that the Toon gets to interact with the visitors and other Toons too? I’d hate for them to be isolated.”

Unfortunately, Arthur’s wish fell on deaf ears, as Delilah lifted you up in her arms. You were a little confused as to why she just..stared at you for a period of time, but if that was her prerogative…

She knew that you’d be favored by the visitors and Toons, you just had that aura to you that she hadn’t felt from her previous creations…

And she couldn’t allow it…

You rarely get to walk far into the center before Delilah held your hand and led you right back to her side as she was handling things.

Even when you were allowed to interact with visitors and fellow Toons, you were always supervised in the distance by Delilah.

When she wasn’t able to watch over you, she’d just keep you in her office. She leaves you snacks and things to do, but you were not to leave the room.

Delilah was on edge whenever you were mentioned, any matters regarding you was to be forwarded to her ASAP. Anything she says about/for you was final, she knew what was best for you…

The other Toons would make the occasional humorous remark that you were “her favorite”. That..made you more afraid than happy..

Nowadays, you were glad to have freedom at least with the other Toons, but you still felt that shiver down your back. As if Delilah was still out there somewhere, watching over you…
