The unspoken part is always "...that I agree with, because if someone who has such a unique hobby can exist happily in this world and isn't hurting anyone, it means that there's a possibility that my hobbies are judged poorly by others, and that people will think that I'm the weird one. If everyone could please find their joy in the same flavors that I do, it would prevent me from feeling so uncomfortable, thx."

Crayola Retires Dandelion Crayon, Drops Hints About Its Replacement

Dandelion doesn’t have a lot to be so dandy about. Crayola announced Friday morning that the color would be retiring from its box of 24 crayons, moving onto greener pastures.

“To take Dandelion’s place, Crayola is hard at work getting ready to introduce a new color,” Melanie Boulden, Senior Vice President, U.S. and Global Marketing at Crayola, said. More details will be released in the next few months, however Boulden did reveal that the new crayon will be in the blue family and the name will be voted on by fans “because we want you all to be part of Crayola history.”

This isn’t the first time Crayola’s removed one of its colors throughout its 132 year history. In 1990, eight colors, including maize, lemon yellow, blue gray, raw umber, green blue, orange red, orange yellow, and violet blue, were replaced with vivid tangerine, jungle green, cerulean, fuchsia, dandelion, teal blue, royal purple and wild strawberry. Again in 2003, more colors were given the boot, but customers were actually given the opportunity to save one, with burnt sienna being the lucky winner.
