Keita’s insistence on caring for everyone else seems far more damaging than helpful. It’s not a question that he loves deeply. Yet, that love doesn’t extend to himself.

“Sometimes I think that he doesn’t value his own life.” A hint of concern crosses his features, his gaze softening ever so slightly. It’s harsh, but it’s the truth. It doesn’t seem far-fetched to say that Keita would die for the sake of his friends, because he cares too much for others and not enough for himself.

The repeated question never gets fully finished, each time the passerby simply ignoring him. It had already been a long day with very little success. It was beginning to take a toll on Souta and his confidence.

He sighs, turning around with tray of treats (that smelled rather offensive to his own senses) in hand he barely manages to catch the tray before any contents fly off. At least Souta thinks he does before the triumph of catching the plastic tray wears off and he sees the mess that he has made of someone’s shirt. 

“I-I’m sss-sorry!! I didn’t-! I-I didn’t mean to!” He doesn’t know what to do so he stands there, awkwardly holding the tray with just a few samples remaning, his distress clearly showing on his face. “I’ll..u-um..Here! T-take all the other samples, that’s fair, r-right?”

maple - is there a hobby / skill that you’ve always wanted to try but never did?

photography! i had a photographer phase like i think a lot of young teenagers do where i was photographing everything and anything and felt so Aesthetic™ lmao idk if that actually counts tho bc i did try it but close enough bc there wasn’t much i felt very passionate about learning.

cider - a food that you disliked as a child but now enjoy?

honestly i don’t remember most of my childhood so i’m not really sure?? i’ve always been somewhat of a picky eater. i’ve gotten better about it now as an adult but i also just generally stick to eating the same foods and don’t branch out that much and try other things.

i guess i could say pepperoni but that wasn’t bc i disliked it or anything it was just that i’ve been a vegetarian since 2nd or 3rd grade so i wouldn’t eat it but in the past year i’ve become like “half” vegetarian and pepperoni is the absolute tits 👌

fog - how well do you think you’d do in a zombie apocalypse scenario?

nah son i’m not sticking around for the zombies. i don’t understand any point in continuing to live in a zombie apocalypse scenario bc you’re not even living anymore you’re just surviving and who wants to fight for your life every single day in a battle that you can’t win??? that’s ridiculous i’d off myself the moment i saw some zombies strolling down the street smfdjgs

tbh i don’t ever see myself faring well in that kind of scenario bc i’d have zero motivation or will to keep going. like the world’s gone to shit and there’s no chance of restoring it to how it used to be so it’s our time to leave and let the zombies have it lol

He hated when jobs went terrible. While he was a shinigami, that didn’t mean he had to like his job. Technically he’s not allowed to interfere with humans. If his job entailed interacting with humans it was one thing, but to try and save them when it was their time? He hated the rule and he hated himself for abiding by it. The worst, anything he said would sound hallow.

What was he supposed to be commenting on here? “It’s, uh, nice?” Shiro looked towards the asker. “It’s a bit confusing to navigate around and very empty-looking, but it’s nice I guess.” He scrolled down a bit and made a face. “Well, I don’t like how all the text is squished together, but, um … “

Shiro thought about it for a long moment. “I guess not?” He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and turned his body away from the asker. “Uh, I mean,” he paused momentarily as a grimace formed on his face. “This is a character that sorta appears out of nowhere to disrupt a group of characters. Of course people aren’t going to like it, and, um, if I’ve grown to like a certain group of characters, I’d be pretty angry if a new character came in to replace a character I’ve grown to like.” He stopped and looked at the screen with a blank expression on his face. “Also, we don’t know much about this character. They appear out of nowhere and, what’s his intention? What was his backstory? This is a boring character that has nothing to drive him except to step in the role of someone else. Does that make any sense?”

“Err.” Shiro nervously rubbed the back of his head. “I can’t say that I do. I’m more interested in just being myself, if that makes any sense.” He looked down at his feet. “I’m tired of acting in roles that I don’t fit in.”
