Reading notes

These are the books I enjoyed reading or re-reading during the last 12 months, in no particular order. Quotes in my posts come from there.  I don't want to remember those books I didn't like. Perhaps more essays than previous years, a return to the classics I sweated on as a teenager in Greek and Latin classes, and for some reason no Chinese or Japanese authors, except for Jin Yong (being re-published in a new translation at a tantalizing rhythm of one volume per year). Many disappointments in recent literature, except for This Storm (Ellroy) and a great discovery recommended by my brother, Les Dimanches de Jean Dézert. In essays, The Enigma of Reason and Stoczkowski's book on Durkheim were big surprises from left field, and I'm particularly glad I went into Picard, Veyne, Lilla, and Popkin.

Terlalu banyak angan yang menjulang untuk mewujudkan impian.

Terlalu panjang wish list yang ku tulis saat ini.

Ya, menulis wish list adalah salah satu kebiasaan ku dalam 3 tahun ini. Karena Aku percaya keajaiban Tuhan mengabulkan dari apa yang kita tulis dan sering kita ucapkan.

Melanjutkan studi s2 salah satu mimpiku, mimpi yang akan ku buat jadi nyata. Mimpi yang tak hanya aku tulis tapi akan aku ukir.

Meskipun, banyak sekali diluar sana yang meragukan, membuat pesimis bahkan tak jarang yang seakan menyumpah serapahi. Mereka berpendapat 'bahwa seorang perempuan hanya perlu bisa mengurus suaminya kelak, tak perlu pendidikan tinggi yang bisa buat minder para laki-laki.'

Hey Padahal, aku melakukan ini demi keluarga juga masa depan ku, aku tak mau jika kelak aku menyesal menikah karena tak mampu menjaga pola fikirku, emosiku bahkan tak mampu menyelesaikan masalah. Yang berdampak rasa tak beruntung untuk keturunan bahkan pasangan ku. Pendidikan tinggi juga untuk mendidik generasi keturunannya. Karena aku sadar bahwa kelak 'aku yang akan jadi guru pertama untuk keturunan ku,figur contoh untuk mereka dan membuat mereka bangga lahir dari rahimku.'

Tak setiap wanita berpendidikan tinggi ingin di lihat karena pendidikan nya, bisa jadi mereka hanya ingin memberikan yang terbaik untuk dirinya juga masa depannya, gelar bagus itu jadi bonus.

Mijn favoriete artiest is Billie Eilish

Mijn favoriete artiest is Billie Elish, dit komt omdat ze zo anders doet en is dan normale artiesten, dat is juist wat mij het meest aanspreekt. Het feit dat zo zo’n andere muziek maakt tegen over vele andere artiesten is speciaal maar op één of andere manier klinkt het heel goed, vind ik.

Ik heb voor dit lied gekozen omdat ik dit al wel een tijdje ken en omdat het nog steeds goed klinkt. Dit komt door het ritme van het lied dat mij aanstaat maar ook door de beat, die steeds goed in de oren klinkt. Maar niet te vergeten de prachtige tekst die perfect bij het liedje past.

Ik heb het liedje voor het eerst in de auto gehoord en toen het lied begon dacht ik echt van wat is dit. Maar zodra het refrein kwam was ik direct verkocht aan het lied.

Wist je dat?

Billie heeft een hekel aan lachen. Het geeft haar een zwak en machteloos gevoel. Dat is dus de reden dat je haar vaak nogal sip op Insta ziet staan.
