Open to interpretation but you can check the video description for the story I badly wrote.

baiheng and dan feng rambles
ik a lot of the evidence points to the main dynamics being xingyue + liubai, but irregardless of if the "beloved" was yingxing or baiheng (it's probably yingxing honestly). i think fengbai would be an interesting dynamic to explore especially with the context of dan heng + bailu in the future. the fact baiheng was a nameless and saw countless sights; had freedom in the skies as a pilot. while dan feng was confined to the luofu and his duties, but wanted to break free. beyond that, we're not entirely sure what kind of person baiheng was in relation to dan feng and the rest of the quintet -- she's still a bit of an enigma, but we can probably extrapolate based on bailu and what dan heng thinks of her.
baiheng probably had an outgoing and headstrong personality to match with her theming of being a nameless; a traveler -- traits that dan heng believes will serve bailu well in holding her own as the high elder. there's a lot to be said about how expectations and duty shape the person you're supposed to be -- for both dan feng and bailu as the high elders, as opposed to freedom and travel through baiheng and dan heng. (worth noting the "heng" in their names isn't the same character, btw. they do have the same tone, though -- rising tone.) the freedom that baiheng has is probably something dan feng envies -- the restriction that bailu has is something dan heng wishes to alleviate for her.
dan feng definitely must've felt a lot in regards to baiheng -- and the whole high cloud quintet in general -- to have revived her as bailu. jing yuan talks of how dan feng was never known as a person with feelings, but only a legendary or infamous figure. whatever feelings dan feng felt for baiheng and yingxing were just... so much, that he couldn't bear losing them. the high cloud quintet probably was the only group who saw dan feng as a person, and not just the high elder.
(sidenote: also baiheng used a bow/arrow, march does too, they were both nameless? danmarch precursor anyone (JOKE)
the emotional conditions dan feng suffered as a high elder in contrast to desiring freedom evidently took a drastic toll on him. it makes me wonder if no one treated him with kindness and humanity as a child. this is an opposition to bailu, in which jing yuan and dan heng both wish her well and try to make an effort to connect with her. there's only a few times dan heng speaks in higher emotions, like in the animated short declaring his right to his future, or in his companion quest expressing hope and surprise that bailu truly has the power of the high elder to seal the abundance power. and dan heng even starts learning medicine from bailu!! and he wants to learn how to heal -- despite not knowing any cloudhymns that can heal. the two playable foxians we have follow the path of harmony, so it's possible baiheng also had a similar power -- another opposition to dan feng/heng's power of destruction. bailu is someone dan heng is really passionate about caring for and ensuring she lives a happy life. he grew up in the shackling prison, enduring the weight of sins of the previous high elder -- he wouldn't dare wish that suffering onto bailu, his successor.
in the aftermath of tragedy, it's really nice that bailu has dan heng and jing yuan to look after her. the themes of humanity and connection therein are important between those three... aough

WebFind: Future Perfect: Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future
WebFind: Future Perfect: Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future
Mark Gorton offers an entertaining profile of Reverend Marcus Morris and Frank Hampson, comic artist and writer Dan Dare, in this 2018 article, “Future Perfect: Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future”, exploring the genius of two men who turned the seaside town of Southport into the centre of the universe. “This is the story of how and why,” says Mark, who includes a photograph of the two men at Bayford…

So many bad CGI cartoons, but the plots were EPIC back then… I don’t even know how many people grew up watching Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future, Xcalibur and the Captain Scarlet CGI ‘remake’, but those shows were a core memory of why I used to wake up early every single Saturday morning. Such a shame it’s so hard to get the full series on DVD.

Titan Comics has announced new details for their upcoming series, Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future!
Writer Peter Milligan and emerging artist Alberto Fouche, bring Britain’s greatest hero back for an all-new series this October 2017 – featuring a stunning cover by Christian Ward!
Dan Dare is one of the best-known (and loved) British comic book characters. Originally created by the Reverend Marcus Morris and visionary illustrator Frank Hampson, Dan Dare thrilled audiences through his lengthy run in the pages of Eagle Comics and 2000AD with its epic, planetary sagas, rip-roaring high-adventure and beautifully illustrated comic-strip art by Hampson and a slew of legendary artists including Frank Bellamy, Don Harley and Keith Watson. Dan Dare Corporation via Curtis Brown Group Ltd, London, licenses the character.
In Titan Comics’ new tale, the SOL SYSTEM is at peace for the first time in human history and Dan Dare doesn’t know what to do with himself.
When an unknown alien vessel of biblical proportions arrives in the solar system and obliterates a moon of Saturn in a show of strength, Dare finds himself thrust back into a new adventure that threatens not just Earth – but all life in the entire universe!
Dan Dare #1 will go on sale in comic stores and digital platforms on October 11, 2017 for $3.99. Fans can pick up three variant covers by top-tier artists working in the industry today including; Christian Ward, series artist Alberto Fouche and a retro variant by legendary artist Chris Weston!

How do you think the OG Talespin Baloo and Rebecca would react if somehow the adult version of kids suddenly appeared in front of them? No other explanation at the moment, except for magic.
I imagine Baloo would first ask who they were, not noticing at first, but when Becky shows up and recognizes Molly, he pays attention to Kit's cap and finally realization sinks in.
They'll be surprised, for sure.
And if they get to hear about how things are for them in the future... They will hug Kit very hard and reassure him that he can be anything he wants, he never had to be a pilot or manage the business.
They will be very proud of Molly's career, as long as she doesn't become like that balone Daring Dan.
Baloo will like to know his baby ended up with Molly, but Becky... she'll at least straight up pass out when she learns Higher for Hire went out of business.

MCOC WISHLIST INITIAL IMPRESSION PENI PARKER
Peni ends her run on the MCOC Wishlist at rank #528.
Her official Champion Spotlight is here.
Class: Tech
We always predicted this would be a Tech champ, based on the fact she’s the only one who can pilot this mech. We were right.
Overall Build
We theorized maybe she could combine some of the abilities from Spider-Man (Stark Enhanced) and Hulkbuster’s kits. The spirit there would be some Shock, and a lot of durability and/or evasiveness.
The result here isn’t that.
There are similarities, certainly. Sparky has some limited power-control when you desperately need it, and Taunt lets you bait specials, which is similar to power control. Peni, meanwhile, has multiple Power control and gain abilities. Furthermore, Hulkbuster is incredibly durable, and the SP//dr armor’s Sync-Shield certainly gives her some manageable durability.
But the similarities end there. The main concept here seems to be that the robot is protecting the adolescent girl inside. So it absorbs and redirects as much of the damage as possible in order to protect her.
She Damages both Coming & Going
She has a ton of Incinerate damage on offense, and she also deals Power Burn damage when she’s blocking.
Cool Dual-Immune
First, table stakes: she’s dual Poison- and Incinerate-Immune. This will be very useful in some corner cases.
Seem unusual in a tech champ? Remember, this isn’t Stark tech. The flavor says this immunity comes from the unique Oscorp tech in the SP//dr unit.
Counterintuitive Durability Types?
Her Sync-Shield is another unique feature. It prevents Peni from taking any damage while it is intact, and only takes 20 seconds to refresh when it’s not. It also has the potential to Auto-Block, so it can save Peni from those times when you accidentally make her take a combo to the face. This is interesting since Auto-Block is an ability typically associated with Cosmic champs.
The weirdest, almost unfair thing? She’s immune to True Strike, True Accuracy, and True Sense Effects. This goes against the tendency to make classes weak to the typical abilities of their superior class: many of the True type abilities in the game are Cosmic. This would be like giving a Science champ debuffs that can’t be Shrugged.
And get this: the Sync-Shield comes on stronger at fight start if the opponent has boosted damage, proportional to the boost. So if her opponent has a 20% damage boost, her Sync-Shield gets a 20% durability boost.
Further, whenever the Sync-Shield is on and her opponent fills a bar of power, she gets Spider-Sense charges. The more of these Spider-Sense charges she has, the higher likelihood to spend them when she would be hit to instead Auto-Block, AND avoid any Stun she would have suffered, AND Resist any block-break, AND Power Burn the opponent. These abilities are not subject to ability accuracy, either.
Fight Controls!
Her S1 and S3 are Power controller attacks. The S1 allows her to gather more Spider-Sense charges, and the S3 allows her to strengthen her Sync-Shield up to a maximum of 200%. She also Power Burns with that Sync-Shield and Power Gains when she’s executing well-timed blocks.
Great Balls of Fire
The real fun happens when Peni has a lot of charges and launches her S2. All kinds of fire comes pouring out of this attack. Obviously against Colossus, Void, Peni herself, and other Incinerate-Immune champs, this will be useless. But for the majority of champs who aren’t Incinerate Immune, this will not only burn them in stacks, it will also make their block a punching bag for SP//dr, because her Incinerates remove Perfect Block and reduce Block Proficiency by 50%.
As if that weren’t enough, her Signature Ability applies Heal Block whenever the opponent fills a Power bar or regains more than 5% health.
Whether Domination or Desperation
It appears the main way to play this champ is to cycle S1 until there are a lot of Spider-Sense charges, fire (literally) the S2 to begin burning down the opponent, then go whole hog slapping them whether they’re blocking or not.
There are also several desperation plays to prevent the opponent firing an S3. Her S1 should do it, her S3 should do it, but on top of that, if she has a lot of Spider-Sense charges and her Sync-Shield up, she can just let them hit her and watch the Auto-Block Power Burn the opponent back down below 3 bars.
An Extra Gear
Pair her up with DDHK or Mysterio and she can Parry non-contact attacks when her Sync-Shield is up.
With (either) Howard or Mole Man she gets better against Size: XL opponents.
Pair her with Miles, Porker, or Spider-Gwen to start the fight with +4 Spider-Sense charges.
Future Champs Implications: Kid Punchin’
When asked why we probably can’t ever have Franklin Richards, besides the fact that his power is to be overpowered, Kabam creative director Gabe Frizzera said you can’t have Franklin in a fair fight with other champs because then, in his words, you’re just “punching a kid in the face.”
This pronouncement seemed to rule out future champs who are kids.
Kids? Who would want to fight (as or against) kids?
It sounds odd till you realize people have no problem punching Miles Morales, who is basically a high school teenager, or Kamala Khan, who is debatably the same age. Peni Parker has the same feel.
So who, besides Franklin, are some kids whose door of opportunity might have been opened a little by the arrival of Peni?
The Runaways’ Bruiser (Molly Hayes) is just a kid, and Moon Girl (who is ranked on the MCOC Wishlist paired with Devil Dinosaur) is an adolescent as well. Peter and MJ’s alternate universe (Renew Your Vows arc) daughter Annie Parker, the Spiderling, is just a kid. Nova (Sam Alexander) is just a teenager, and it’s strongly implied that Dan Bi, the little girl half of Crescent & Io, is just that: a little girl. And it probably depends how you look at it, but Wolvie, the X-Babies Wolverine, could be considered a kid as well.
Those are just the ranked ones. Some Summoners would doubtless suggest the Power Pack members, the Eternals’ Sprite, and others that haven’t made the Wishlist yet.
Conclusions
Overall, this kit reads a bit like a defender. That mech is gonna do things to prevent you from hurting Peni. That said, whether she’ll be a good defender is in question. All it would take is some Armor Break or Unblockable and most of the tricky parts go away. She might be harder to fight using any Regeneration champ if she’s awakened, given her propensity to Heal Block and Incinerate Regeneration champs who ever dare to fill a single power bar.
But I predict there’s enough delightfully messy damage and sufficient avenues of fight-control that she’ll also be an enjoyable attacker. It doesn’t seem like it will require a lot of training and practice to properly time her kit on attack. With attributes reminiscent of Doom or Warlock, probably people will enjoy playing this champ.

Passed/Failed: An education in the life of Brian May, guitarist of Queen
Interview by Jonathan Sale  // Thursday 23 November 2006 01:00
Brian May, 59, is the guitarist of the band Queen, whose Greatest Hits has just been named the bestselling UK album ever. He is also an astronomer, and co-author, with Patrick Moore and Chris Lintott, presenters of The Sky at Night, of Bang! - The Complete History of the Universe ( www.banguniverse.com)
I used to frighten the neighbours by standing in the middle of the road to catch something rising in the east - they thought it was burglars. I got my first guitar for my seventh birthday, and around that time, my father and I made a telescope from a kit. It was a 4in reflector, and it was amazing what you could see with it: the Moons of Jupiter, the Rings of Saturn. I projected sun-spots on to some paper and saw them moving across.
It was Patrick Moore's The Sky at Night that made me want a telescope. I was allowed to stay up late to watch the show - and now I've been a guest on it; my dad would be very happy.
The big treat at Cardinal Road Infants, in Feltham, Middlesex, was to sit on an air-raid shelter beside the school. The girls would play a game called "I wish I was..." One day, I said, "I wish I was a bum". I had no idea what it meant. The teacher said, "We are all going inside. Brian May has just used a rude word."
I remember winning a first prize and being given a book, Black Beauty. This coincided with a wart being cut off my finger in a clinic attached to the school. It was agony and I went home in pain. My mother decided to read Black Beauty to me, and I found it so sad. I found out that there are some things in life that can't be made better.
At Hanworth Road Juniors, I was pretty much an all-rounder, and enjoyed the science lessons and the English lessons. My favourite thing was rainy days, when we could stay inside to read comics, such as Eagle, featuring "Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future", a great inspiration.
Hampton Grammar was a good school - I'm a governor now - but it was all-boys, and, on the whole, I think segregation is not a good idea. Music was my friend from a very young age, but music at school wasn't a very good experience for me; we were forced to listen to classical music and told what to think of it. We used to hide round the back of the cycle sheds with our guitars, which were not allowed at school.
I got about 12 O-levels, and at A-level opted for pure maths, applied maths, additional maths and physics, and, with two As and a B, got a place at Imperial College London. There were some brilliant lecturers - Dr Payne, for example, who would bound across the stage making wave motions to illustrate his lectures on "Vibration and Waves".
When I was on the Entertainments Committee, I booked Jimi Hendrix. Later, Queen played that same hall, and we got our first review, in Disc. We were able to book the Albert Hall for charity, and got Hendrix, the Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band, Free and Spooky Tooth. Smile, my student band, opened the show.
I got a 2:1 (link for anyone outside the UK like me who has no idea what that means), and there was pressure on me to get a proper job, so I decided to do a PhD on "Zodiacal dust" - stardust. You see it as a cone-shaped glow in the west at the end of the twilight, and in the east just before dawn. After four years, all the thesis wanted was binding, but I had a continuing debate with my supervisor, who thought I should be doing more, and I ran out of enthusiasm. I now spend odd moments typing it up again, and the head of astrophysics at Imperial has offered to supervise its submission. Giving it up for music in 1972 was a big risk, but when a certain door opens, you either walk through it or you don't. It won't open again.
(x)
Bold by me.
