# damon maitsu

damon definitely finds it embarrassing to show even a hint of affection to anyone. sure, he's whipped for you, but he'd been isolated from piers for so long, keeping to himself and not bothering to involve himself in trivial matters such as romance — so he shows it to you by doing small but sweet things; gifting you things you'd commented on once or twice, taking care of little things for you, or just little yet thoughtful gestures which add up.

he doesn't entirely hate saying "i love you" or anything which may come off in that sense, but words like those don't roll off his tongue easily. he does love you, but his fills in for his lack of affirmation with actions.

the two of you would be sitting beside eachother with the surrounding group of ultimates. damon was comfortably seated in silence while you were engaging in your own, somewhat interesting conversation, with grace and kai. as the conversation continued and things got louder, the feeling of warm fingers gently lifting your hand and slowly beginning to trace your veins made your body tingle — causing your face to begin burning up. you were struggling to remain your upmost focus on the conversation, making attempt to cover your flustered face at the small ongoing gesture damon made. the action was noticed by him, and he leaned in closer, resting his head against your shoulder with a quiet hum as not to attract the others, or to mess with your already racing heart. who knew?

# kai monteago

serious love bug. he's pathetic, constantly clinging to and wanting to be around you. his ultimate love language is physical touch — fingers intertwined within yours or laying his head against your shoulder while lazing around. he's constantly wanting to flaunt or show you off to his friends or the public, despite how unadvised it is considering his audience. he doesn't care, 'cuz you're his partner and he wants to love you and show you off any opportunity he can!

fs rambles to you in bed every night. he'll go on and on about his day, and it's hard to listen for the entirety. you'll usually find yourself being woken up by a whiny kai shaking you back and forth muttering about how you're dozing off instead of listening to him. def cannot sleep until you've let him ramble till he's too sleepy to continue, 'n even then he needs an "i love you"

# wolfgang akire

wolfie is pretty tame with how he expresses his feelings for you. he's a simple man, keeping it casual yet manages to pull you in with his oh so perfect words, seeming to know what to say in every situation no matter how little. whenever he's with you, he keeps his utmost attention on you. of course, he won't neglect others, he's not impolite. but you're his priority at all times.

casual "i love you" sayer. soooo soft and sweet with the way he speaks to you, always gently muttering out an, "okay, i love you" once ending a phonecall or simply parting ways for a small time. he wants you to know he loves you sososo much.

Thinking back on my Naegami parent headcanon post I made while ago about Damon being Makotos and Byakuyas child, I posted it back when P;EG prolog just came out, I think

Anyway I wanna add another headcanon I have onto it :)

Basically I have a headcanon that after Makoto had risked so much to save them, the remnants started to be really close to Makoto. It’s to the point where it’s not rare to see Makoto with them whenever they all meet up, basically the remnants low-key adopted Makoto lol

So I imagine when Damon came into the picture, the remnants started to do the same with him. To the remnants, Makoto is their friend so that makes Damon their nephew, looking after him when ever Makoto was tired or whatever, one or a few of the remnants would look after Damon.

They’ve 100% stolen time from Kyoko, Aoi, Hiro, and especially Byakuya to be with Damon even tho he’s literally his father lol (Makoto had to make a chart so that the remnants can take turns looking after Damon and stop stealing everyone’s time with him (they still try sometimes lmao))

But if you remember, the remnants are ex-terrorists and literally insane, I imagine afterward they’ve gotten therapy and have gotten better but there still some crazy and unhingedness still lingering, which as time went on, slowly rubbed off on Damon

So now because off all that, sometimes Damon will say something, wether as a joke or seriously, so incredibly unhinged it takes you a second to realize what happened, it doesn’t happen often, only at random intervals, like a few times or going months without hearing it, it makes you question if it really happened or not

And Damon has NO idea cause all he knows, he’s not saying anything unhinged cause this is just how he was raised

So here have this I doodled as fast as I possibly could, I’ll let you decide if he’s joking here or not lmao

This gets even funnier if you ship Damon and Wolfgang like I do cause imagine being so against murder and crime and meeting your boyfriends family and one of his dads betrayed the government was considered a war criminal and the majority of the rest of his family are ex-terrorists lmao, what do you even do in that situation lol

caregiver damon maitsu headcanons!

•as a caregiver, damon would do his best to always look out for you! i think that initially, he would have to do some research on age regression. after that— he would be willing to take care of you! he just wants to make sure he understands and looks after you properly <3

•he might be a little hesitant the first few times he looked after you, but he’ll quickly get the hang of it! he doesn’t want to make you feel embarrassed and he wants you to be able to trust him.

•if you’re curious about something, he will never turn down questions! if you ask him why the sky is blue or if water is wet or not, he’ll first ask you what you think. he’ll carefully listen to what you have to say before providing an explanation!! (though he tries to put it into terms that make sense)

•he doesn’t use many pet names, but i think he would definitely call you kiddo and dear!!

•always makes sure you’re close to him if you ever regressed in public. rest assured that there’s no chance of you getting lost in a store, or wandering off to another street. he makes sure you’re holding his hand in a crowded area and never lets you wander out of his sight for too long.

•damon tries to loosen up a little around you! your regression should help you have fun and feel safe, and if that means having a tea party with your stuffed animals or coloring on the floor with you... he will absolutely do that! (don’t tell his classmates, though!)

•pretty firm about bedtimes and routines. he makes sure everything is laid out clearly for you, like how you need to brush your teeth before bed and what time you do need to sleep. he likes the order of it, but he won’t be upset if you need some reminders here and there! the only reason he really has these rules is so you can take care of yourself.

•damon would love reading you books! he’ll read you some chapter books from his childhood, or if you were feeling particularly young, some colorful picture books!

•when it comes to physical affection, he kind of treats you like a dad sending his kid off for school haha!! puts a hand on your shoulder and pats your back if you were proud of something. he’ll hold your hand sometimes too, but he doesn’t do much else. (if you initiated anything though, he’d return it without hesitation!)

•damon has a soft spot for you. he probably won’t admit it, but he’ll buy you the plushie you’re eyeing at the store. he’ll notice when you’re down and try to cheer you up. if you’re struggling to reach something, he’ll always grab it for you.

•speaking of which— if you were ever sad when regressed, or you just had a bad day, damon would take extra care to be gentle with you. definitely murmurs something along the lines of, “hey, hey, what’s the matter, kiddo?”.

•he would sit beside you and ask you if you wanted to talk about it, and if you didn’t, he’d just stay by your side. sometimes, that’s enough, and he wants you to know he’s there.

•if you did want to talk about it, he’d try to find solutions to what was bothering you, even if all he can do is suggest things you two can do that might make you feel better.

•damon is honestly a very sweet caregiver— he’s doing his best for you and he always wants you to know that he loves you so very much <3

he isn't super big on public displays of affection, tending to not kiss you in public or at least keep the kisses short

damon is rather petty though, meaning he'll gladly kiss you in front of people he doesn't like and simply wants to annoy, by showing off that he's dating you! 

damon's favorite place to kiss you is your cheek, as it's more subtle than a kiss on the lips, yet still a sweet gesture

ulysses & damon academic rival headcanons:

Damon was probably the top of the class and was used to always being on top, in general. So when Ulysses came in and bested him in just about anything he did afterwards, you could probably tell that he was pissed off. Obviously, it’s a rivalry so they both had their highs and lows, but Uly usually had the upper hand on him.

They both clearly have strong suits in some subjects more than others (Damon was strong in math and science-related subjects, while Ulysses was stronger in history and english-related subjects.) Ulysses overall got higher marks though.

Even though Damon absolutely despises Ulysses, he probably still has some kind of admiration towards him. It’s like a love-hate relationship that he’s never going to figure out, that’s for sure. He admires him for his work ethic somehow, but he hates him for that same reason.

They both have quite the amount of “good luck” rituals that they both use just to spite the other. For Ulysses, it’s the classic “textbook under pillow” superstition, and for Damon, it’s wishing some obscure curse on Ulysses just so he can do better on the next exam.

A shitpost HC that I have is that Ulysses always asked to get seated next to Damon and always looked at his paper while they did their exams, for the sole reason of laughing to himself every single time he thought that Damon got a question wrong. Damon never realizes that fact. Ever.

— the image was terrifying enough to wake him up

— as much as he wanted to rush right at your door to make sure everything was fine, he couldn't bring himself to do it

— at least not in the state he was in, he needed to calm down first

— but the thoughts wouldn't let him breathe

— so he stealthily walks into your room

— 'just a little check up' he told himself

— unfortunately for him, you were also awake and surprised to see him here

— "damon? it's 3 am... what are you doing here?"

— oh, he fucked up

— he couldn't say the truth! that would be too embarrassing

— "i uh... realized i forgot to give you a goodnight... kiss"

— he takes his own blanket, then does as planned

— he was relieved to see you well, even if he knew it was just a dream

it was endearing at first, you’d run your fingers through his hair, twirl it at the longer ends, cute stuff like that.

but when you’d start ruffling it and messing it up, it got a lot less cute and a lot more annoying.

its an easy fix, really! all he needs to do is comb through it a couple times and fix it up a little, but still, it’s annoying!

in retaliation, he’ll fluff your hair up, or just ruin your hair in general. unless your hair is super short or you’re bald. then he makes you wear a wig.

he keeps it private, although on rare occasions he'll place a somewhat sweet quick kiss on your lips before long; yet damon prefers to show his appreciation for you in private, since he has an ego and title to uphold.

his kisses are probably aggressive. like i can see him roughly grabbing your waist and pulling you in for a kiss, all while having one hand on your chin. even though he won't admit it, he enjoys when you initiate the kiss. his favorite are nose kisses but it leaves him flustered — he'll act all annoyed by secretly enjoy it.

he for sure snickers at you if you can't reach him for a kiss in certain moments of desperation. laughs and teases you, 'n enjoys every second of it.

he's a pretty boy influencer; this boy does everything.

he enjoys pinning you against the wall while you kiss because he thinks it makes him appear cooler, or just messes around with cringe romance trends floating around the internet. doesn't mind kissing you in front of people, though prefers it in private since he can get pretty needy at times.

he likes to surprise you with kisses. he thinks your reaction is both amusing and cute, and thinks he's the shit teasing you about your flustered little reaction. his kisses are sometimes overwhelming and needy, but he tries his best to tone it down in public (being an influencer 'n all.)

def admires you between kisses and doesn't pay attention to anything else. sometimes he gets lost in it and you have to remind him whether or not it's an appropriate time or place for this.

# wolfgang akire

generally has no shame when it comes to pda, and he doesn't mind kissing you in front of others; just nothing too serious or lengthy. he takes professionalism seriously and keeps any needs to himself until the time is appropriate.

sucker for and is always delivering quick kisses. forehead kisses, cheek kisses, nose kisses or even occasionally taking you by the hand and planting his lips against your skin — he typically tends to part ways with you with a kiss, even if only for a short time. i can imagine even when going for something more passionate, he's quite gentle with you. brings himself down to your height while holding your waist or hands, kissing wherever you prefer the most.

also, he definitely always wants to be near you regardless of the situation. either prefers to have his hand in yours at all times, his body beside your own, or just his general gaze being able to take you in whenever its possible.

Moraiteru Voice Actress Change

This is related to a fangan called Danganronpa F: Shattered Hope. On May 5th, 2023, the Shattered Hope Twitter account announced that Jayjitsu, the voice actress for one of the fangan’s characters, Moraiteru, was retiring from her role due to a busy irl schedule. In addition, they announced Luucarii would be replacing her as Moraiteru’s voice actress for the remainder of the project.

Unused Eden’s Garden Voice Files

Many people don’t know these even exist. There are a few voice lines in the files of the Eden’s Garden prologue that go entirely unused and don’t play at any point in the prologue. Some are simply earlier recordings of existing voice lines that were replaced by newer ones, some seem to be practice lines that were left in, while others are actually pretty funny and seem to have been left in as jokes. ReBirth Creator Made Ayakashi Akashi

Ayakashi Akashi is an in-development RPGMaker Horror Mystery game that has a relatively small fandom, and follows a middle school teacher realizing an unexpected evil has been unleashed onto his class, and he must solve the mystery before more tragedy occurs. However, what a lot of people don’t know is that Miwashiba is the developer of Ayakashi Akashi. Many people in the fangan community are aware that Miwashiba is also the one who created the original “Danganronpa ReBirth”, which was actually an April Fool’s prank that sought to trick people into thinking there was a new Danganronpa game coming out.

Kim Davis Execution

This is about a cancelled fangan called Danganronpa V4: Rocky Restarts. Before the game was “fully released”, the creator, Stephen, uploaded a video to YouTube involving the protagonist of the fangan, Kim Davis, being executed. This execution goes entirely unused in the game and furthermore the story, since Kim never dies in-game.

Damon Maitsu Gay Implications

This is about the Eden’s Garden Chapter One demo and is what I assume to be sort of a joke entry. Many people believe that Damon is heavily implied to be a gay man due to some of his behavior, and due to Nifast (the game’s lead artist) supposedly headcanoning Damon as such. The biggest indicator of this is when he off-handedly thinks that the shirtless male model on the calendar in his room is “pretty sexy”.

Lifeline David Chiem

Of course I fucking know about this one. I am the creator of it. This is referring to a Fandom Wiki page about an iteration of David Chiem used in a discord killing game roleplay called Danganronpa Lifeline. Many people became confused by its existence, and some mistook it for a page for canon David. People even continue to use the icons uploaded to the page for various purposes. Some time after the page gained more traction, I put a warning at the top of the page to let people know this was a page for a roleplay-specific David, and not for DRDT David. The page still exists today and is one of the top results when you search for David’s name.

DRFSH Beta Design YouTube Shorts

Shattered Hope-related again. On the Shattered Hope YouTube channel, a series of shorts were uploaded that showcased the beta designs for some of the characters in the fangan, their original personalities, and sometimes even their beta talents.

Goodnight Tomoya

A comic created by Mayaisuu about a hypothetical situation for Danganronpa Heartless Deceit. The comic follows Yumeo as he misses his chance to apologize to Tomoya before the latter is murdered in the killing game, and feels guilty over it. The comic was recently remade.

Danganronpa The Witching Hour

This is actually a roleplay that is often mistaken for a full-fledged fangan project. Danganronpa The Witching Hour was a killing game roleplay hosted by Angelop Productions, based around a killing game taking place in a haunted mansion. It became popular mostly for its incredibly uniquely-styled Argument Armament videos, a style that is often emulated by other fangan projects. Currently, Angelop is working on another roleplay, called Danganronpa Winter Masquerade.

Rosie and the Raven

Shattered Hope-related. This is the credits song for every episode of Danganronpa F, composed and sung by Stevie Viola. The song received its own animated music video on January 12th, 2022.

Danganronpa 64

A web series fangan that takes after Danganronpa 69. It is one of those “crazy crossover fangans”, with sprites created using 3D models in Source Filmmaker. Despite supposedly being a joke, it is relatively high-quality in its writing and editing. The series is still in progress, and is available to watch on YouTube.

Fandom’s Calling Cancellation

Danganronpa Fandom’s Calling is a fangan created by Zel. The premise involves Danganronpa becoming so popular, that a Hope’s Peak Academy replica is built and seeks Ultimates to attend it. Of course, it results in a killing game occurring. The game has a fully released prologue and a demo of the Chapter 1 Daily Life. However, a lot of people are unaware that the fangan was actually cancelled in late 2022, and the story was fully explained by Zel. This cancellation went under the radar for a lot of people, and quite a few still think the fangan is in development, hence why it’s a bit lower on the iceberg.

Rocky Restarts Old Sprites

Fans of Rocky Restarts know about the sprites used in the prologue and chapter 1, and the new sprites used in the chapter 2 daily life. However, there are even OLDER sprites originally used in the game that aren’t uploaded anywhere and thus not readily available. These sprites are often used to emphasize jokes throughout the Rocky Restarts Plot Explanation video, and you can view the sprites by watching very old playthroughs of the fangan.

kikuatsuko

Kikuatsuko was a fangan fan content creator, most known for their Danganronpa Another + SDRA2 meme videos, and their Nextgenronpa recap and meme videos. As of now, they have taken all the fangan-related videos off their channel, but reuploads are available to watch on YouTube.

Levi x Ace Wattpad Lemon

This is referring to a fanfic uploaded on Wattpad about Levi and Ace engaging in sexual acts. The fic circulated throughout DRDT tumblr as a joke for a while, due to the fact that it was incredibly poorly-written and heavily mischaracterized both Levi and Ace for the sake of a smutty fic. I believe the story has been taken down as of now, but I’m sure if you scroll back far enough in the DRDT tag, you can find when it was a hot topic in the fandom.

Nextgenronpa Controversy

Going to be quick on this one to avoid anyone getting uncomfortable. The creator of Nextgenronpa, a fangan about the children of DRA and SDRA2 ships in a killing game, was exposed for drawing some pretty disgusting art and being extremely uncivilized with other people.

MILGRAM: The Fangan Chronicles

Once again, another entry I know because I made it! MILGRAM The Fangan Chronicles is an in-development crossover story about characters from multiple fangans being put into MILGRAM. MILGRAM is a music project about judging 10 murderers’ forgive-ability based on music videos and voice dramas, and many fangan fans also happen to be MILGRAM fans.

SMPronpa

SMPronpa was a written fangan, where the cast consisted of members of the Minecraft Server, SMPlive. The fic was requested to be taken down by CallMeCarson, who expressed his discomfort with his friends murdering each other. The fangan was considered lost media for a while, before someone managed to recover it.

Kaizue Jin is Autistic

In one of the episodes of Danganronpa Rejected Zer0, it’s revealed the protagonist, Kaizue Jin, has been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD type 1. It is sort of said in an off-handed comment, so many didn’t catch it.

Danganronpa Deadication April Fool’s Video

This is a video uploaded on the Danganronpa Deadication Youtube Channel. Despite indicating it is a joke in the title, the video advertises itself as the Chapter 1 Body Discovery. Upon watching the video, you are treated to a body discovery with the Peter Griffin death pose as the victim. Funnily enough, this is the last ever video uploaded onto the Deadication youtube channel before it went completely radio silent for 2 years at the time of this post’s creation.

Hope Despair Force

Hope Despair Force is an online roleplay service hosted on Attorney Online 2. The reason it is on this iceberg is because the server includes DRA, SDRA2, Rebirth, Eden’s Garden, and some Blowback sprites in its base character roster.

Danganronpa The Wolf’s Game Controversy

Similar deal with Nextgenronpa. The creator of Danganronpa The Wolf’s Game was accused of some pretty gross stuff. I believe the callout was made on Instagram, but I can’t seem to find the post anywhere. Unlike with Nextgenronpa though, I am unsure if these accusations were ever confirmed or not.

David and Nico Smoking a Blunt Fanfiction

This was a fic uploaded by miracleacey to AO3 about, you guessed it, David and Nico smoking a joint given to them by Xander. They both get high, obviously. Nico just gets sleepy while David gets paranoid and tries to look for Xander. The fic is rather short and contains no tags categorizing it as a crack fic, no matter how much it may sound like one.

Danganronpa: God’s at Gunpoint

This is an in-development playable fangan created by deimosatellite. The prologue is available to download on itch.io, and Chapter 1 was set to release in October 2022, but it did not come out when it was supposed to. After a year or so of silence, the fangan has posted various updates and appears to be continuing development.

Danganronpa Checkmate

This was a single chapter fangan project released by Bazileaf and Kokkun. It was created for a one month writing challenge, and as such, the single chapter is considered the complete game. It has become a bit of a joke among Heartless Deceit fans, since Kokkun is now developing Heartless Deceit.

Xanvid Cannibalism Fanfiction

The entry said “Fanfiction”, but it would be more accurate to put an “s” at the end, since there are multiple of these. The fics are all uploaded to AO3, and more or less follow the same formula of Xander fantasizing about, and in some cases actually going through with, eating and/or brutalizing David out of sheer adoration for him. All the fics are pretty disturbing, and many fans of DRDT have chosen to avoid reading them based on the tags alone.

Mikadocest

Siiigh okay. This is a trend (or more accurately, an anomaly) when the final Chapter of SDRA2 released, where some of the more peculiar fans of the game shipped the real Mikado with his simulation self. I don’t think I need to say more..

“Shinku Mastermind Sprite”

This is an image hidden in the Danganronpa Antebellum files. It seems like it’s meant to be bait for file-searchers looking for spoilers in the files. It, of course, is not a sprite at all, nor is it anything among the lines of what the file name claims. Just a joke image.

Yoruko Kabuya Queerbaiting Accusations

This is the one I know the least about. Apparently people on Reddit began accusing LINUJ of shipteasing Yoruko and Sora to the point of it being considered queerbaiting to them? Either that or it’s just people getting mad that Yoruko was never confirmed as a lesbian or something like that. Just wanted to try and explain this to the best of my ability since it’s on the lowest tier and I felt like input was needed.

Danganronpa Hushed Whispers Death Order

A lot of people don’t know this, but Danganronpa Hushed Whispers, a web series fangan with a very small fanbase, was cancelled some time in 2023. A little while ago, the creator released the complete death order for the fangan, as well as a few plot points that would’ve been touched on in the story.
