Lightis ‘The Witcher’ AU Headcanon
Ever since I was watching Netflix’s The Witcher, my life’s never been the same. I was hot and bothered by it, constantly thinking about it…I was dying for more lmao. Thankfully, there is a Lightis day dedicated to The Witcher, so I thought…why not make silly headcanons about it? I will say though my knowledge of The Witcher storyline and the lore of it is very lacking, so if I got anything wrong, please accept my humblest apology. A bit of a warning though: The headcanon is very lengthy and long. And by lengthy I mean I did it from the beginning and end, because I couldn’t help it to be honest 😅. Hopefully, the undercut will save you guys from reading such a long post. If not, I’M SORRY. Blame Tumblr. Without further ado, let’s start! @lightisdays2k @givelightningherharem
So instead of the existent of “witchers”, there are l’Cie folks living in the world of Eos. And let’s just say these l’Cie have… “superhuman” powers such as strength, prediction of the future, high intelligence, healers, skilled hunters, and more. Finding a l’Cie is pretty hard nowadays since they’re all typically humans. And yes, to identify a l’Cie is if they have their brand on the skin. Most of them cover it up though.
Lightning Farron is a known mercenary l’Cie, always travelling and looking for some gil to feed for herself and sister. Light will accept anything that involves beast eliminations. But because of her always killing beasts, actual hunters who do this for a living get irritated. So, there are a few hunters who are willing to seek her and have her head.
Now let’s fast forward to where Lightning was minding her own business with Serah. The two were trying to find some wood for the fire to use for the night when they hear someone calling for help in the middle of the forest. Light instructs Serah to go back to the tent and hide. The older Farron investigates where the cry is coming from. Lightning finds a lone woman struggling to fight off a big behemoth. The woman’s magic is defending her from the incoming bites and scratches, but her powers are quickly fading. So Lightning comes to the rescue and easily defeats the behemoth before it can eat the woman for dinner.
The woman is thankful for Lightning and asked what she wanted. Lightning has nothing she desires, but the woman insisted. She decides to invite Lightning and Serah over to an upcoming banquet with a neighboring country from Niflheim. This is when Lightning discovers she and her sister are going over to some royal banquet and finds out the woman is Queen Aulea of Lucis. And yes, Queen Aulea knew that Lightning is l’Cie (and Serah too).
So at the banquet, Queen Aulea is already exposing the fact that Lightning and Serah are l’Cie, a race that is thought to be extinct.
Let’s say there as an assassination attempt on King Regis in the banquet (they were probably Niflheim spies, but no one knows), but Lightning has yet again saved the royal family and putting that assassin behind bars. Thankful once again, Queen Aulea asks if there is anything Lightning wants. Lightning does not want anything but finding her “focus”.
Every single l’Cie that is breathing in Eos were destined to find their “focus”. If they were fulfill it, then that l’Cie will be granted eternal life by turning into crystal. Or if they fail/give up finding it, then they turn into a beast. But for the sake of this AU, imma say that the l’Cie were already granted eternal life without being turned into crystal, staying forever in their 20s-30s.
ANYWAYS…the element of surprise comes to play when Queen Aulea suddenly vomits in the banquet! “What did you do?!” Regis panicked. His Queen is pregnant, and it’s linked towards Lightning. Of course, I’m not saying Light is gonna be the mother of Noctis in the future, but he is gonna be connected towards her “focus”.
Destiny (and Serah) starts throwing clues at Lightning about the future of Lucis and the whole world, but Lightning coolly dismisses it because she thinks it’s all foolery.
12 years and 9 months later, Insomnia falls. Just hours before the fall, Lightning and Serah decided to visit Insomnia, after the two sisters had an argument about how the past events they got themselves into were just too coincidental to begin with: like how Lightning was unable to sleep that whole week, the vague words of a dying princess she was hired to kill. Lightning eventually agrees with Serah to accept the fact she and King Regis’s child were meant to be. However, King Regis refuses and puts Lightning and Serah in prison.
Once Niflheim invades Insomnia, Lightning and Serah escaped the prison. They both see that King Regis is dead, making it a very high priority for Lightning to search for the kid.
I KNOW IT’S STUPID BUT HEAR ME OUT--Oh yeah and maybe Serah turns into crystal after fulfilling her “focus” when she tells her sister to find Noctis, now that things are starting to get real.
Meanwhile, 12-year-old Noctis escapes Insomnia, his father’s words of “finding a l’Cie named Lightning, for she is your destiny”. Now I dunno if I want to add in Noct’s friends (Prompto, Gladio, and Ignis). …Maybe I should since it’ll be weird to have Noctis to be by himself. Don’t worry, none of them dies!
Of course, Niflheim does find out Prince Noctis is still out there, alive…and the emperor wants him dead.
At some point, Lightning and Noctis meets up. The real fun begins here because lklfkds. Lightning trains Noctis and the boys most of their lives. Of course, the beginning of training wasn’t too fun in Noctis’s eyes. Wooden swords? Fighting with dummies? LAME. Noctis wants some real training, but Light is so damn strict. She probably made him run about 3 miles and back to her home as punishment.
Noct will quickly learn that Light also has a soft heart. Light can be relentless with her kills whenever there were beasts or bandits within her property, it makes Noct wonder if she’s “human”. This all changes when he sees her tending to an injured black wolf pup. He thought she was gonna kill it, but she didn’t. She was nice enough to let him keep the pup since she can tell the pup is an orphan. Thus, Noctis affectionately names the wolf Umbra hehehe.
Along with the intense training Noct and boys were doing, there were also some cute moments within Light’s house. As a little boy with child-like tendencies, Noctis wanted to play in the beach near her home instead of training today. And because Noct was being so damn cute, Light couldn’t deny him and let him relax. He swore he saw her smile for a second.
And maybe…just maybe…Noctis started to develop feelings for Lightning. He shook his head, it’s only a small crush. I mean she is pretty and all, but she probably has a lover or something…right?
Then about 6 months later (after the beach time fun), some snitch pointed a finger at Lightning’s house, and a small Niflheim army marched over there. SHIT! Lightning cursed and woke Noctis and the boys up. The only thing Noct heard from her is “RUN!” before she clashed a sword with a Niflheim soldier. Noctis wanted to fight, too, but he was too young. So he and the boys fled off while Light fights off every soldier. And it took her a while, got a few injuries, but she survived. She tried to go look for him, thinking maybe he’d hid somewhere but he was nowhere to be found. Light searched high and low for him without any luck.
And let’s say Noct and the boys were caught, but Niflheim only got him in less than a minute because Noct somehow warped away from his captures and escaped with his friends. The boys never really did reunite with Lightning now that Niflheim knows Noct is on the run.
Years later, Lightning finally gets a lead of Noct’s whereabouts after looking for him in what it seems like forever. She wouldn’t know how old he is since it’s been THAT long the last time she saw him. He’s must be an adult by now…she guessed. She eventually learns that the young prince is looking for royal arms scattered around Eos and attempting to defeat Niflheim by himself and his friends (also reclaiming the throne as the rightful king of Lucis).
She would be so close in reuniting with him after years not seeing him, but he’s always a step ahead of her. While Noct is on his mission, Niflheim is also tracking him down. Being the last prince of the Caelum family, he is still connected to the Crystal’s power. And let’s pretend that Emperor Aldercapt can’t get his wrinkly fingers on the Crystal, so as long as Noctis is still alive, which is the reason why Niflheim is hunting him down.
FINALLY, Lightning and Noctis reunite in Altissia! Light would notice…Noct grew to a fine young man, as well as Prompto, Gladiolus, and Ignis. But their happy little reunion would be cut short when there’s word that the Niflheim army is approaching. And Noct and Light knew they wouldn’t be able to fight the army with only five people, so they need to round up few more people. Noct would be asking around the people in Leide region, Duscae, and Tenebrae while Lightning will be rounding up other l’Cie folks, Cleigne region of Lucis, and talking to first secretary Camelia in Altissia.
With the whole world of Eos fighting against Niflheim, the empire army gets a bit overwhelmed heh. The army retreats. But it’s not a celebration yet! Emperor Aldercapt is still alive, and Noct is determined to kill that old man now that he has the 13 royal arms with him.
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE DAMN ROMANCE NOW THAT NOCTIS IS OLDER YAYYYY 😘. Noctis actually wanted to reunite with her earlier, but things keep getting in the way. Maybe Light started to feel attracted to him too when she sees him for the first time in years. Even though he has physically changed, he’s still the sweet boy she remembers. Oh yeah don’t worry Umbra is here too!
In battle though, Noct is little too eager to fight and wants to go in head on with his warp strike. Light would be annoyed by it and the two would argue about how they battle. For example, Noct would sometimes overuse his Royal Arm weapon which drains him and make him vulnerable to attack. Light would be there to deflect the attack and give him a potion. And Ignis and the others would tell Noct he needs to be careful. To his defense, he forgets, but not when Light is yelling at him as if he just committed a murder and didn’t tell anyone.
Now there was a point where Noct and Light were doing a side mission where they were attending a masquerade ball because there is a former Niflheim spy wishing to talk to Noct and spill the tea about the emperor’s plan. The ball itself was beautiful. Light was beautiful in a dress. Noct couldn’t stop staring at her. There was that one time a drunk was stalking them and hitting on Light, that it made Noctis to kiss Lightning to show that she’s supposedly “taken”. The kiss was sweet. She realized…he’s a good kisser 😩.
They probably banged a few times too when the chemistry starts heating up. First time was when they were arguing after the fact a djinn escaped and Noct wanted to use it to grant three wishes 🤭. Light knew djinns are no joke, so she fought and freed the djinn, making Noct pissed hehe. Their second time was when Noct confessed his feelings to her. “You’re important to me…” he whispered in his sleep.
Pillow talk moments where he learns how she craves to be human again instead of being a l’Cie, how he promised her they’ll get rid of the l’Cie mark together, even though it look sexy as hell on her left shoulder 😉.
Romance aside, Noct, his friends, and Light now are gonna prepare to fight Emperor Aldercapt once and for all. They knew the fight is gonna be tough. The travel from Lucis to Niflheim will take them a while. The party created a plan to infiltrate the imperial palace. A group of l’Cie mages will create a magic barrier around the palace to prevent anyone from leaving and/or entering the premise. And if the backup tries to harm the l’Cie, Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto will be there to defend.
Noct and Light would be the one fighting Emperor Aldercapt. It was a tough fight. The old man sure can use his magic pretty well 😯. Noct was gravely injured at some point and was about to be killed when Lightning jumped in took the hit!
But…BUT. Time suddenly stops! Light meets Etro Herself in another dimension. Seems like Etro is mad that Lightning is intervening Noct’s inevitable death. But Light wasn’t going to let it happen because she loves him. Then Etro says something about Light’s focus, which is to make sure Noct doesn’t die and that he is crowned king. But because Noctis is gonna die, it’ll mean Light has failed her focus, but she’s not gonna have that shit. So you know what happens? She fights with Etro 😱. Light ended up winning and decided to let Noctis live and make Light defend the incoming blow once time resumes back to normal. Unbeknownst to her, she didn’t notice her l’Cie brand is gone.
At last, Emperor Aldercapt is defeated! Noct and his friends are now deemed heroes of Eos. Noctis wants Light to be queen, so they married and start rebuilding Insomnia to its former glory 😊.

11:39pm. Noctis and Prompto were fast asleep in the other room and Ignis was, as usual, still awake in the front room watching television. He rather enjoyed indulging himself in nature documentaries, more often than not he had been able to drift off to sleep easily whilst listening to them. It was a positively exceptional method in helping the vexed advisor get his much needed rest.
The emerald-eyed man was just about to migrate from the world of the conscious when his phone’s screen lit up and a familiar tune emitted from it. “Hmph... what could this be?” He emerged from the comfortable position he had assumed on the sofa and he sauntered over towards the device, grasping it with his slender, gloved fingers and lit up the screen. The text that had appeared made Ignis’ heart plummet. Ignis… I need your help… I’m hurt bad. I’m outside. It was from Gladio. “Oh Gods…” The brunette immediately shot over to the room where Noctis and Prompto were slumbering to check on them. Once satisfied that they weren’t going anywhere anytime soon he darted over to the room’s entrance, exit, made sure the door was securely locked and made haste for the hotel exit. “Damnit, Gladio, you had better still be alive by the time I get there…”
The large man slipped his phone back into his trouser pocket with a smirk only to wince with pain as he situated himself against a light pole outside of the hotel where he stood. "Hnn...hurts like hell..." He grunted as his arm whined against his slow movements. He got hurt, worse than he intended though he had no one to blame but himself considering he had done it for all the right reasons; at least that notion sounded good within his mind. He wasn't entirely sure how others would take the excuse, especially with the nice sized gash that now graced his forehead. He left without rhyme or reason some days ago, the questioning looks of his companions burning into his back, namely those un-amused green orbs he found himself so fond of silently cursing him for abandoning his opinion on his personal affairs. "Heh...like I could tell you." although it pained him to bite his tongue on the matter, he'd be putting up a front if he said he didn't find solace in the scoldings he received on occasion.
Gladio's eyes lay closed momentarily, that is until his thoughts were interrupted by a door adjacent from him clattering closed. The sound of hastened footsteps across the pavement met his ears before his ember eyes fell upon the slightly twisted face of Ignis coming straight at him. He quickly conjured the prize of his endeavours, the Genji Blade from Gilgamesh himself, in hopes of it cutting him some slack. "Welp, time to face the music."
"By the Six, he's worse than I thought..." Ignis' mind turned into a whirlwind of thoughts as he approached Gladio, gripping his arm to keep him steady. "And what in daemon hell have you been up to to get you in such a way? By the looks of it you're lucky you're not dead, come." The emerald-eyed man wrapped the large man's arm around his neck and carried him behind the hotel into a grass patch.
"Tsh you really think I'm goin' down that easy? I'm offended, Iggy." The man's boisterous laugh rings out into the night as he tries his best not to lean fully on the advisor. "Seriously, I had my own business to take care of. All that matters is I'm back, right? Come on, I snagged a new toy," holding up the sword, he glances at the man's profile noticing his jaw set in a hard line then sighs. He knew he wasn't exactly on his good side but he was serious. Even if he had been hurt through the entire ordeal, he vowed to return regardless. The brunette fell silent for a moment as he was lowered down into the grass, "sorry..."
"Now is not the time for jokes, Gladio. You are gravely injured and I fear there is no elixir in the world that will fully heal the damage done." Ignis could feel his throat beginning to choke him, but God’s be damned if he was going to let this brute-headed man see him like that. "...But aren't you lucky I'm going to try."
The 'toy' Gladio bore was one of the first things that Ignis had noticed when he first saw him, after his injuries. He had heard of the legend of the Blademaster before from his time studying in the many libraries in the Citadel but never had he thought he would see the man who defeated him, much less it being Gladio.  "Your 'toy' as you called it is certainly impressive, but you have much more important things to worry about right now...rest your head on the ground and relax..." The strategist lowered his voice as he spoke in an effort to relax the burly man, pulling a potion from his pocket.
"Guess I hit the jackpot," the man chuckled as he did what he was told, his muscles protesting as he leaned back onto the slightly moist grass. He kept his good arm folded under his head. Once comfortable, his eyes fell to the sword then shut completely. "To be honest, I think you worry too damn much," he sighed knowing it was in the man’s nature. The shield wasn't one to ever feel guilty for his actions, but today was different. This man was different. Today the guilt was starting to rise like mercury in the bit of his stomach.
The clang of a potion bottle being revealed caused him to open his eyes again. He watched as slender leather covered fingers moved about his arm and torso examining the extent of damage that had been done. His amber gaze travelled up the advisor’s arms, chest, and shoulders before resting at his face, a look of intense concentration shown through the spectacles that rested on the man’s slim nose. He involuntarily bit his lip.
"I worry just the right amount I've come to believe. You, however, don't worry enough." The emerald-eyed man was getting tired of Gladio being reckless. But he also saw himself in him somewhat; always throwing himself in harm’s way to protect the ones he loves. Ignis believed this was why he wasn't more angry at the large man for staring death in the face and somehow coming out alive, albeit barely. "I'm going to administer this elixir to you for now and then you are going to come with me and rest in the confines of the hotel. You will not be permitted to move until you are fit to do so, are we clear?" He spoke with a firm but caring tone, he meant what he said about the elixir, but the advisor had other plans for Gladio for this moment...
The larger man rolled his eyes so hard he thought he'd seen the inside of his head. "Whatever. I'm not one of those two you baby on the daily; I'm fine." His voice came out more tired than he expected. Maybe he really wasn't? He signed heavily in slight defeat. Just as Ignis, he was groomed not to relish in the pleasure of care brought on by the hands of another. That it was his duty to put others, namely Noctis, before himself. It's the reason why he threw himself in harm’s way to begin with. Therefore all this 'self care is important' or 'your recklessness will be the death of you' nonsense wasn't sticking. Gladio swallowed his slightly rising temper and pride to patiently wait to be treated knowing full well he wouldn't be let alone by an ever persistent Ignis.
The ever patient strategist was quickly approaching the end of his tether with this man now. He withdrew his hands from him and pinched the bridge of his nose and inhaled, prolonging it to flaunt his frustration."You seem very adamant on pushing my patience with you more than usual, so I will give you two scenarios. Scenario one: I will do as I have told you and help you and you won't have to suffer anymore. Scenario two: you continue to be a pride-ridden ass and I will abandon you where you lie and return to the hotel without you. Your choice.” Ignis had snapped, he was no longer prepared to put up with him as much as it would pain him to leave him behind.
The brunette raised both brows seeing his always stoic friend come slightly undone at the mercy of irritation. It amused him and much to Ignis' dismay, pushed his sudden idea to see just how far he could prod at his nerves. "Well would ya look at that. Ignis actually does have a backbone when it comes to making folks do what he wants. Shit I never thought I'd see the day. I tell you what. I'll bend and listen to you for now, but why not aim that same animosity towards our spoiled Prince instead of toward someone who CAN actually handle himself?" He was sitting up now, his head sideways, amber eyes burning into green ones once more. Gladio had a lot of pent up frustrations since the trip started. Not only at others, but himself.
"I will not indulge in your war of words, I warned you." Ignis rose to his feet, turned around and started walking back to the hotel entrance, not looking back. A part of him couldn't believe he was so adamant on pushing him away but the better part of him refused to give in.
"Pfftt, of course you won't. You would't know how to 'indulge' if the opportunity bit you in the ass. You're SOFT." His voice was loud enough so the advisor could hear. Gladio pushed himself off the ground with his good arm before following not far behind before they reached the hotel door. He knew he was treading in dangerous waters but he was curious and he was on a roll.
The emerald-eyed man stopped in his tracks at the over-confident man's word. "Say that again." He knew he was going to. He was quickly devising his assault on the other man before the words left him. He stood upright, arms at his side and his fingers flexed every couple of moments.
"Oh you heard me." He stood directly behind the man, burning a hole in the back of his head. Today was the day he vowed to break that shell Ignis always escaped to. Come hell or high water, he was going to find out what he was holding back. "You're...SOFT." He let the words slip once more with a deeper more menacing tone aim closely to the man's ear.
Ignis quickly spun around, laid his fingers on Gladio's chest and pushed him with all of his might directly down onto the ground. He straddled the man, conjured a dagger and lit it up with fire, holding it close enough to the large man's skin so that it would burn but not too much. "That is the LAST time you dare to attack me with empty insults! You are NOT the only one with burdens to bare, Gladiolus!" He daren't say more as he wanted the large man to mull that over in his clouded mind.
The advisor held his position over the shield for a prolonged period. He wanted the searing heat of the fire combined with his own injuries and his poisonous thoughts to linger for a while longer. In the meantime he gritted his teeth visibly and stared into the amber eyes of the man beneath him.
And there it was. That dormant beast that lay deep within the tactician had been awoken and was out for blood. Gladio sucked in a staggered breath as his heart rate jumped into overdrive within his chest upon connecting with the ground, his arm whining in protest as it went slightly limp against the pavement beside him. He reared his head back inch by inch as the blazing blade before him burned with an intensity that dared him to make a move. Ignis had him on the ropes but he wasn't done.He never broke eye contact with man's seething glare before a breathy chuckle fell from his lips. "Heh ha! I knew you had it in you. But how far can you go, eh Iggy? You don't have the balls to hurt me!" His words were taunting. Gladio continued to stare up at the man through squinted eyes. He watched as his his jaw flexed under the tight tension of his anger. How the small vein in his neck pulsated as he breathed deep. How the flames from his dagger being so close to it's target set his eyes ablaze…
The amber-eyed man had sparked another fire in Ignis' heart that wasn't about to be smothered easily. His dagger inched closer and closer to his neck after he spoke, taunting Ignis to punish him. He made sure the blade was pushed up against the throat of the man beneath him hard enough so that every time he breathed it sliced him that bit more. "Don't test me, Gladio. It would be very unwise, especially given your current condition." He mocked the man, he wasn't about to let him talk down to him in such a manner and get away with it. Every action comes with a price to be paid, and Gladio had a hefty debt accumulating…
"Why? So you can do nothing else about it?" He spat back. Gladio sucked in a staggered breath as the blade bore deeper into his skin. The flames had nearly subsided but they left the blade warm, increasing the ease at which it could cut. He gripped his subduer by the thighs with both hands instinctively to try and cease his movements as a line of blood trickled down his throat. However, something was off. He wasn't completely feeling the normalcy that is 'fight or flight'. Instead, the crazed look in Ignis' eye alongside the continuing twinge of pain at his throat and the thought of impending danger caused heat to pool harshly within his groin earning Ignis an involuntary grunt from the man beneath him.
Ignis had gasped ever so slightly at the tension that had appeared on his thighs and he closed his eyes briefly. He opened them again once he felt the growing tension between their groins and stared the burly man down, trying to adjust to the feeling. "Gladio...why do I suddenly sense some growing 'tension' between us?" The strategist lowered his blade to the large man's chest and drove it into his skin gently, piercing it just enough to elicit a breathy moan from him. "If I'm not mistaken, you seem to be enjoying teetering on the edge of life and death..."
Gladio gasped, his eyes shutting tight as his hands clung tighter to the advisor’s thighs. The mix of pleasure and pain he was currently feeling had his mind reeling. Opening his eyes again, his amber orbs were now half lidded and hazed over with the a hellish desire he was certain only one person could put out. To test his theory, he bucked his hips upward causing him to grind teasingly against the man, another grunt emitting from his lips. "Mmmph there's no sensing it. I can damn well 'see' it from here." The brunette smirked, his eyes dropping slowly to the growing bulges between the two of them. "And If I'M not mistaken, you're eating up this chance to make me your bitch," his gaze shifted back up to the man, noting the small bead of sweat that trickled down his temple.
"Well, who wouldn't pounce upon the chance to make you such a thing?" Ignis inched his tender lips closer and closer to Gladio's ear, gliding up his neck ensuring his hot breath waved across it. "Considering you've been such a handful, you deserve to be punished." The advisor conjured his other dagger and gently ran the flat side of the blade over Gladio's cheek, releasing a short but meaningful moan into his ear.
The shield shivered. He knew he wanted to push the man over the edge but this was on a whole other level. Feeling mentally inebriated at the closeness of the advisor currently invading his very being, he was anxious for more. He wanted the man to turn him inside out. If it meant the beast that Iggy kept within would come out more often, he was more than willing to throw himself over his knee. "You punishing me? Hmm," he grunted and bit his lip, "that'd be a real treat." He smirked and ground up against the man again. His large hands gripping his thighs tighter. "I don't think you have it in you."
Ignis once again let out a moan, except this one was longer, louder. "Mmph, would it now? I'm not sure you could contain yourself." The emerald-eyed man shifted the position of his dagger so the blade was slightly digging into his cheek. "You don't? Well, we'll have to see about that, won't we?" The hand that was previously conjuring the fire-ridden dagger was now grasping at Gladio's nipple, twisting it hard.
"Fuck!" The assault on his sensitive nub causes him to groan in ecstasy while leaning a little further against the blade pressed to his cheek. The slight stinging sensation as it cuts his rugged flesh sends jolts of excitement straight to his groin; evidence of which beginning to push harder against Ignis' underside. "Mmm fucking show me how soft you say you aren't," his voice hung in the air with an urgency unlike any other. Gladio, with a new wave of appreciation taking over, couldn't believe how painstaking hard it was to lie there like a caged feral animal. The idea of what the advisor would be like if he was to come undone had crossed his mind a few times in the past but the opportunity never presented itself. That is until today. Today the bespectacled man had him on sensory overload and he planned to submerge his very being into every moment of it.
Ignis let out a breathy chuckle which faded into a moan at Gladio's words. He flicked his wrist so that the dagger would slice the other man's cheek harshly. "Mm, if you insist using such language I shall have to punish you further..." The dagger he was now holding was traced down to the burly man's toned chest, via a trip down his neck. He made sure the man beneath him could feel his blade and how easy it would be for him to end him right there and then. He would never do such a thing, but he wanted him to be completely at his mercy.  "Oh, Gladio, we seem to be mistaken." He whispers as he traces his lips down the other's neck and litters it with gentle kisses between his words, soon ending up at his chest, head next to his blade. "I'm going to show you what it's like to be at the mercy of the man you have tried so eagerly to break." He exhales a moan before latching his teeth around Gladio's nipple, digging the dagger ever so slightly into his other breast, just enough to break the skin.
The advisor’s words earn him a satisfied grunt in response as he arches his back against the man's mouth and blade. With the two feelings coinciding, the tight hold his leather pants had on his member caused him to ache with release. Admittedly so, Gladio was a slut for pain. Purposely getting hurt in battle wasn't exactly something new to his escapades but he'd never utter a word of it to his companions. The dance between life and death always gave him an adrenaline rush unlike any other; this time being no different. The shield’s amber eyes watched at the dagger worked against his skin; a few beads of blood pooling at its tip. His gaze travelled to the chiselled face beside it; his jaw flexing as his warm tongue played with his hardened nub.
Ignis danced his tongue around the hardened nipple, slowly and carefully dragging the dagger down his rough skin, inching closer and closer to the large gash across his chest that had been there when Ignis had first found him. The ever growing bulge pressing against the advisor's stomach invited a grin to appear on his tender lips and he ground up against it, wanting to tease the shield more and more until he was teetering on the edge of breaking. The emerald-eyed man started to reach for the large man's groin, tracing his slender leather-covered fingers down his hardened abs.
The thin trail of blood created by the blade had his sweat saturated skin set ablaze. Gladio's pulse quickened at the feel of leather clad fingers slipping down his abs dangerously close to the aching beast below. His arm quickly shot up to rake his hand through the advisor’s hair only to tighten his grip. He pulled the man away from his chest for a moment to take in the sight of pink dusted cheeks beneath glasses before leaning up to crash his lips upon his. The shields wet appendage slid across Ignis' bottom lip before shoving its way inside to explore every inch of his beautiful mouth. With a breathy grunt he broke the kiss only for a moment. "You and this damn teasing is gonna drive me fucking insane," he smirked and peered back at the man; amber eyes resembling fire in the dim light.
A wicked smile appeared upon the advisor's face as his eyes shut briefly to indulge in the taste of Gladio's mouth. He opened his eyes again and gave him a look that was riddled with lust before gripping the other man's tented groin roughly. "Mmm, there you go again. I'm afraid you have just prolonged your punishment," he whispers, letting out a quiet, breathy chuckle as his lips trace down his toned body, his tongue gliding ever so slightly over them. Ignis keeps tensing his hand, applying then releasing pressure to tease the large man further.
Gladio unintentionally bucked his hips against the man's hand, his member pulsating within it's leather confines. The heat pooling within his stomach was reaching sub nuclear magnitudes causing his breath to hitch with the combination of the advisor’s tongue against his waiting skin. He was 10 seconds away from shoving the man face to his desired place, however, he was enjoying being at his full mercy.
Ignis' lips finally fell over the tent within Gladio's pants and he began breathing heavily over it, licking his lips and looking up at the puddle of a man below him with a wicked grin. His gaze returned to the other man's groin and he began sucking his member through his pants, moaning deliberately to send vibrations rattling through the large man.
"Six...ughh," the larger man's hands shot up to cover his face as a wave of pleasure snaked its way up his legs and throughout the rest of his body. He ground against the advisor’s lips, cursing the thin barrier between his lips and his sensitive muscle. He moaned into the warm night, the humidity keeping his skin beneath his tank top moist with sweat, heightening the scent of his arousal. How had he found himself in this situation? Oh yeah, because he had a big fucking mouth and liked to play dangerously. I have absolutely no regrets. The thought made the corner of his lips curl into a smile. Removing his hands from his face, his eyes dropped to the man below, admiring how the gentle breeze danced through his sandy hair. His eyes closed to slits before quickly reaching down and gripping his locks. "If you're going to suck it, quit playing games," the burly man smirked before letting his hair go once more.
The advisor grinned at the large man's frustrated words. "Now now, Gladio. I did tell you your language was going to get you punished but you refused to listen..." Ignis' lips were now replaced with his hand, roughly palming the large man's member through his leather pants. "...But I believe it's time for your punishment to really begin." Ignis made short work of relieving Gladio of his pants and underwear to just above his knees. He straddled the man and leaned down into his chest, crashing his tender lips against the shield's. He grasped his throbbing member and began jerking him slowly whilst his free hand reached again for the potion in his pocket. He trailed his kisses down the other's neck as he cracked the potion open and held it over the large man's chest, letting it drip ever so slightly onto his wounds. "You are going to be slipping between pain and pleasure. Just as your pain is being overwhelmed by immense pleasure I'm going to drag you straight back into that feeling you crave so much. I'm going to drive you insane."
The man's words alone had him yearning for more. As the cool liquid dripped over his open wounds, he shivered. The shield felt his teeth grind instinctively followed by a drawn out breath as the advisor’s hand made contact with his cock. He knew the man was skilled at many things, however, bringing him to mentally to his knees was one skill he gravely overlooked and he was relishing the intoxicating experience. "Shit, do your worst. I ain't gonna cry. You can believe that, Iggy." His voice was thick with lust. Those amber eyes never breaking their gaze from the green ones above that seemed to bore into his soul.
"Oh, I intend to and we shall soon see about that..." Ignis let go of Gladio's cock and he started to suck on his nipple as he got to work unzipping his pants so that his own cock could slip through. "Open your legs. Now." A few more drips of the potion seeped into his wounds and just as Ignis noticed that they were beginning to heal he stopped and bit down hard on the nub in his mouth. He teased Gladio's entrance with the tip of his length, waiting for him to do as he was told.
Holding back a whine from the sudden lack of touch against his length and the final spine tingly chill of the potion within his wounds, Gladio gave a thunderous grunt in response to the man's musings against his hardened nipple. Obeying orders like that of a helpless dog, his legs bent and widened to give the advisor better leeway to his waiting hole. It wasn't like the shield hadn't experimented with this sort of thing in the past but upon feeling the head of Ignis' waiting member, the situation pressed even further to the front of his mind as an imminent reality. Beads of fresh sweat pricked at the surface of his skin as he prepared himself.
"Hmph, good boy." Ignis spat on his hand and rubbed it on his member as a form of lubricant. As soon as he was done, without warning, he thrust into Gladio roughly, using his hips as handles to help him in. The advisor let out a loud grunt as he nestled his face into the large man's neck, biting on it. "O-oh Gods you're tight." He conjured one of his daggers again in one hand and gripped Gladio's throat with the other. He started thrusting in and out of the man slowly as the dagger came up to just under his jaw. "Now, don't you think you could have minded your language? This is just a taste of what would happen if you were to continue..." he trailed the flat side of the dagger along his jawline.
Gladiolus Amicitia. The sworn shield to the King, always a stone wall of a man, found his barriers crumbling at the hands of the advisor above him. Having his more precious area invaded by such a lewd act of dominance caused his loins to burn with a desire of the highest calibre. The overbearing wave of pleasure and pain he was feeling had his mind doing somersaults; his words lost in translation albeit the short gasps that managed to slip between his parted lips. "I-ignis!" The man’s name rolled off his tongue in such a manner of desperation that it almost startled him as to how deep he had plummeted into the recesses of the abyss that housed the essence and flagrant 'physical need' for one, Ignis Scientia. "I-I want to taste it ALL."
Ignis chuckled to himself deviously. "All of what, exactly?" His thrusts came to an abrupt halt, "tell me EXACTLY what you want, Gladio, and leave no detail unspoken." The dagger's razor sharp edge was now grazing the large man's neck, slowly running down it towards his clavicle. The advisor held the dagger steadily over the man's collar bones as he took his free hand to his mouth, gripping the tip of glove in between his teeth and pulling it off slowly, closing his eyes and moaning quietly to add to the shield's frustrations. Once it is removed he leans down to Gladio and kisses him passionately.
Between the heated kiss shared by the two, heavy, ragged breaths fall from the man’s lips as the advisor’s movements cease. He was practically on the verge of insanity caused by the underwhelming feeling of Ignis being inside of him. "I-I want you. ALL of you. I want you to break me and bring me to my knees. Fuck me with every bit of power you've been holding back all these years. I know that little shit in there pisses you off sometimes." He gripped the man’s thighs under his legs, forcing Ignis forward and penetrate his puckered, abused cavern deeper. "USE ME to let it all go!"
There they were. The words Ignis had been craving to hear for years. He sighed heavily, biting into the large man's neck. "You... do not know... how long I've been waiting to... hear that." His words were split by kisses to the shield's rough neck. Those words spurred Ignis on. He continued his thrusts into Gladio after a long while of pausing inside him. He was relentless, nearing a feeling of somewhat desperation for the both of them to climax together, to share an even higher level of intimacy. Thrust after thrust Ignis grunted, occasionally moaning the large man's name until the he was pushed over the edge, spilling his seed deep within his lover.
Gladio gasps at the sudden rush of liquid warmth filling him up. The sheer abundance of pleasure bombarding his body had his glazed ember eyes rolling to the back of his head. "Fucking SIX!" Although his cock had received very little stimulation, the force of desire had him flying down the primrose path at the speed of light completely hands free, finally earning him his release; all evidence of which was now plastered between his exposed stomach and Ignis' disheveled leopard shirt. The shield lay spent beneath him, coming down from the high that once had him on cloud nine. His eyes fluttered gently before opening fully to focus on the sweat matted face above him. He ran his fingers through his own tousled locks before giving a drawn out sigh. "Shit, if being hurt means I get THIS type of treatment, I may have to lose a limb next time." The burly man chuckled playfully, noting that his fresh wounds had started to sting much to his demise.
"I wouldn't advise that. There's nothing I can do to help you with a missing limb." The advisor chuckles too, enjoying lying on the large man for a few more moments. He lifts himself shortly after and notices Gladio's face start to twist in slight pain at his wounds. "Now, I believe it's time I actually heal you rather than make you worse. My... apologies." He rolls his emerald eyes to look to Gladio's wounds, pulling out the elixir from his pocket. Guilt was beginning to seep into him as he looked at all of the extra cuts he 'gifted' him.
His amber eyes softened before nodding. Pulling up and re-adjusting his pants, Gladio lay still as Ignis went to work on his wounds. "For the record, I have no regrets." He grinned before shutting his eyes, relaxing under his gentle touch. "I saw a side of you that I didn't think I'd ever see. But do me a favor..." Gladio flinched slightly at the mild pain of a cut on his lower stomach. "Promise me you'll stop holding that shit in. I know you're the one of us that attempts to keep a 'cool head' but dude, that shit's gonna get someone murdered." He chuckled before falling silent for a few moments. "In all seriousness though Iggy...let me be your lightning rod from time to time...I can take it." His eyes stayed glued to the furrowed brow above his specs before reaching up to lightly touch his cheek, adding a little pressure to make Ignis look him in the face. "Promise me."
"I... promise," the advisor wasn't used to this, feeling guilty for pleasuring someone, even if it meant that he caused them pain in the process. "I... am... so-" Ignis' words are choked from him by tears falling down his cheeks, he couldn't hold them back any longer. He quickly looked away from Gladio in an attempt to hide his tears, the last thing he wanted to do was appear as weak to such a man, especially after maintaining such a 'cool head' for so long.
Gladio moved to his knees in front of his friend, now lover, pulling him into a tight embrace. "You better not apologise. You've done not a damn thing wrong." He knew how desperate he tried to hold in every ounce of anger or sadness, even happiness depending on the situation. He also knew how difficult it was the maintain such a stoic demeanour when you're expected the keep someone else level headed. He understood him completely. There was a method to the man’s madness; a reason for pushing him to his limits. He needed him to let go and let it all out before it consumed him alive. "I won't let you bear all of this crap on your own, Ignis. Let go for once and let me help you, you hear me?" Feeling a light shudder from the man in his arms, he held him tighter, his nose buried against the crook of his neck.
Ignis does not utter a word but continues to let the tears stream down his face. He caresses the cheek of the shield, sighing ever so lightly. "I have gone so long without showing anyone any kind of emotion like this... and to finally let it all out... I... thank you, Gladio." Ignis lifts a hand to his face while the other reaches around the shield's shoulder, holding him close. "I'm trying to let you in but... it's so difficult. I apologise for my current state."
The man's fingers snaked protectively to the back of Ignis' head. The advisor was strong. Any and everyone could see the fire in his eyes when he stepped up to do his job, but even the strongest of buildings had those more softer points that were protected by barriers. Gladio vowed to protect that. He pulled away momentarily, resting his forehead against his.
"No need to thank me. Ya know I've always been here, Iggy." He leaned up to plant a gentle kiss on the advisor’s lips before grinning. Finally he stood, helping the man to his feet. Gladio reluctantly scratched the back of his head as he stared at the front of Ignis'... 'painted' shirt. "Not sure how you plan to explain that one," he chuckles, motioning towards the masterpiece with his chin.
"And where are you going? Your wounds are not healed..." Ignis refused to let Gladio return in such a state. "As for my shirt, those two are fast asleep so they won't see a thing." He smiled gently at the burly man, using his final elixir to help mend his wounds. After some time, just holding the shield in the meantime, Ignis noticed that the wounds that he had caused him had healed almost completely and his mind was ever so slightly set at ease. "I may have been able to heal you of my... actions, but still no luck for the ones you bore when you were on your own..." Ignis looked sad, bothered by the fact he couldn't fully heal his lover.
Gladio looked himself over, noting the fresh wounds had just about disappeared. He simply shrugged at the mention of his previous injuries. "My fault. Don't give me that look. You did what you could right?" He patted the man on the back with his good arm. "Also I don't exactly plan on sleeping out here tonight believe it or not. As much as I love crashing under the stars, there's a bed in there with my name on it." He grinned and winked at the man, "thanks for the help, sexy."
"Hmph, you're welcome, my love." He gave his lover a small smile, still lost in his own thoughts. "We have plenty of room back at the hotel... You can take the vacant bed, I will resume my position on the couch... You need to rest." The tears down the advisor's face had slowed to almost a halt, but as he started walking away there was a small stream of them again. Gods, please stop this, Ignis he thought to himself, embarrassed at his invulnerability.
With a smirk, the larger man followed suit until they found themselves inside the hotel. "You really think I'm letting you sleep on the couch? I'm huge, but I ain't that huge. Bunk with me." The man grinned before reaching a gentle finger up to catch a tear on his cheek, "no more of that, Iggy." He rested his hand on the small of Ignis' back ushering him forward to lead him to their chosen room. His feelings for the advisor at this point were completely undeniable. The idea sent a few butterflies through his stomach.
"If you insist," Ignis raised a hand to adjust his glasses on his nose with his index finger. He took a deep breath, eyes closed, and then exhaled, slowly opening them again. "We should make haste, it is nearing morning and those two will be stirring in a couple of hours. We won't get much rest... but it will be worth it to see you pleased and healed." The advisor rested his hand on Gladio's chest, gave him a quick peck to his lips and then turned to open the door to the room. "This way, quietly." He signalled the large man to the room where Ignis would have been sleeping alone, slowly taking off his jacket and glasses.
Gladio stepped lightly past the other boys door, imagining Prompto sprawled out on one side of the bed while Noct lay in a burrito of blankets on the other. The idea made him chuckle. Although being away allowed him to think a bit more clearly, it was nice being back in the presence of his companions. Quickly he followed the man into their designated room, shutting the door lightly behind him. "Hmm, I don't know about you but I'm gonna hit the shower. Been a few days annnd I'm fucking ripe." Gladio’s laughter erupted throughout the room before he stepped over to Ignis, placing a deep, drawn out kiss on his unexpecting lips. "Mmph get ready for bed, I'll be quick." He winked before turning on his heels to the bathroom.
Ignis relished the kiss as if it was their first. "Understood. I will be waiting..." He bit his lip as he watched the large man head for the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. The advisor took this moment to sit on the edge of the bed furthest away from the bathroom door and mull over in his head exactly what had taken place tonight. We have done so much... And I cherish it. He smiled wickedly at the thoughts of their actions. The slender man made haste in taking off the rest of his clothing and folding them neatly on a chair in the corner. He slipped into bed and withdrew a book from the drawer that he had been reading for the past few nights. With an arm behind his head propping him up, he temporarily lost himself in the pages.
With the door closed behind him, Gladio quickly stripped, careful to avoid any still healing wounds that dotted his bruised body. He let the water run as hot as he could take, the mirror quickly fogging over with the rising steam. Finally, a hot fucking shower. The man's body ached and protested as he moved under the shower head; it only taking a few moments for his muscles to adjust and loosen. He hung his head low beneath the spray as it soaked his hair and tanned skin, remnants of dirt and dried blood starting to pool at his calloused feet. With an arm resting at the back of the shower, the shield quickly sunk into deep thought, the events of the past few days swirling around his conscious. He had come out triumphant in his endeavors and couldn't be more proud. Not only did he conquer the Blademaster himself but... he managed to capture the heart of a man he held dear. A man he didn't know he needed to desperately until now. You're on a roll big man. He chuckled to himself, the more intimate of events causing him to shiver. After a few more moments of relaxing, Gladio lathered and rinsed himself off before stepping out of the shower. He caught his reflection in the mirror letting his eyes roam over his bulging muscles as he flexed for a moment before opening the door to the bathroom and leaning against the frame. "I was afraid you had fallen asleep," he peered at the advisor from across the room, a small grin playing at his lips.
"And leave you high and dry? Not a chance. I have more stamina than you seem to think, Gladio." The advisor chuckled, he was so in love with this man and it took the previous events of the evening for him to finally break and show it. "I wanted to fall asleep in your arms, and you in mine. Nothing would make me happier." Ignis smiled lovingly at the large man, his heart beginning to race thinking about it. He couldn't help but wonder if other events would unfold before that stage and he certainly wasn't about to object if they did…
Gladio smiled at the advisor’s words. There was no doubt his feelings for him had grown larger than the skies of Eos and with that he vowed to preserve it. Before continuing, he perked a brow. "Stamina you say? Well damn, I may have to test that theory." The shield pushed off of his place against the wall, his eyes remaining on the man before him as he padded toward the bed that cradled the object of his adoration. The towel once snug around toned hips now lay waste behind him. He stood at Ignis' covered feet, drinking in his presence before ascending onto the bed, crawling upward like that of a feral beast hunting its prey. His still damp hair lay at his shoulders aside from a few strands that fell to his face. As he moved, the dim light danced along his flexing muscles, beads of sweat starting to glisten against his skin like tiny beacons calling out for Ignis' touch.
The emerald-eyed man chuckled and it didn't take long for it to cross-fade into a moan as he felt the large man crawling up him. He lay still, eyes locked onto Gladio's with a sly smirk on his face. "You're going to test me once again? Albeit I'm not opposed to it this time, but you nearly lost your head earlier on..." Ignis gave the large man a wink as his free hand trailed up his side ever so lightly, grazing his fingers along his thigh and up to his ass. "At your own peril," the advisor was deliberately being sarcastic, trying to get a rise out of the man above him.
Gladio smirked, "hmmm what can I say...?" He pulled down the blankets letting it sit dangerously low atop Ignis' slender hips. He dipped down to gently trail his tongue from his navel, over his abs and between the crease of his pecs before stopping to lave at his jawline. "...I like to live dangerously." He smiled before crashing his lips to the man below him, the intensity increasing as their mouths danced together. He pulled away breathlessly and chuckled. "I really hope you didn't plan on waking up early tomorrow," the shield leaned to his ear, "because it's about to be a looong night..."

Even Robots Have Their Off Days
I’ve been feeling like crap the past couple days so I wrote a quick fluff-piece to try and make myself feel better.
Pairing: IgnisxNoctis
Rating: G+ (mild language)
Word Count- 1427
Summary: Noctis takes care of Ignis after a bad day
Ignis had not been having a good day. He’d woken up late after a fitful night of struggling to calm his racing mind, and his entire schedule for the day had been thrown off. He’d been forced to choose between coffee and a quick shower in his frantic attempt to get himself out the door, and immediately regretted his decision when he’d gotten stuck in traffic with an already blossoming headache. He’d been fifteen minutes late in spite of his best efforts and was forced to sit through seven hours of the counsel arguing in circles about the city’s population crisis without a single drop of coffee to keep him going. By the end of the meeting, he’d been practically in tears.
He’d met with Gladiolus afterward for training, actually looking forward to blowing off the stress of the day with some routine exercise, but had been disappointed when the ruthless physical trainer had insisted that he spend the time perfecting his pole-vaulting technique with his secondary arm instead of sparring with daggers like he’d been expecting. The venture had only succeeded in him being smacked out of the air over and over by Gladio’s ridiculous broadsword and left him with a sore body to accompany his sour mood. He’d gotten stuck in traffic yet again on his way to pick up groceries for Noctis, embarrassed himself when he realized he’d forgotten his wallet in the car upon reaching the check-out counter, and had a bag split open on him as he carried them upstairs to the prince’s apartment.
After finally collecting everything he’d lost he threw open the door to the apartment with much more force than usual, startling Noctis who’d been waiting for him while lazing on the couch reading the newest issue of his favorite comic series. The black haired teen took one look at his normally calm and collected advisor and could tell right away that something was off. He got off the couch and went to lean against the kitchen counter as Ignis unpacked the groceries in preparation to make dinner.
“Damn Specs you look like shit, bad day?” Noctis asks nonchalantly, reaching across the counter to grab a bag of potato crisps.
“An astute observation, highness,” Ignis says curtly as he digs through the cabinets for the proper cookware needed to make dinner, becoming all the more agitated at the noisy clanging of the various pots and pans.
“Why don’t you sit down and relax a minute, instead of taking your frustrations out on my frying pan,” Noctis jokes as Ignis slams the pan down on the stove.
“Some of us aren’t afforded the luxury of perpetual relaxation,” Ignis grouches as he slams around in the cutlery drawer for the rest of the tools needed. “Now, I’d appreciate it if you stopped spoiling your appetite with junk food and left me to my work.”
“Fine. Have it your way,” Noctis says petulantly, tossing the bag of crisps on the counter and returning to the couch to stubbornly hide away in his comic book.
The pair doesn’t say another word to the other as Ignis proceeds with his cooking. He continues slamming ingredients around in the kitchen and projecting his foul mood to his now disinterested companion, who ignores him with practiced ease. He gets himself so worked up that he doesn’t even notice how he’s mishandling one of the sharp kitchen knives until it cuts down into the flesh of his finger instead of the slab of meat he’d been aiming for.
“Blast it all!” Ignis yells, dropping the knife as he quickly moves to wrap his hand in a towel. The noise catches Noct’s attention again and he looks up just in time to catch his advisor cradling his injured hand inside a blood soaked dish rag. Noctis lets out a heavy sigh and sets his comic on the coffee table as he walks over to see what happened. He steps in front of Ignis and forcefully takes his hand so he can examine the injury for himself, ignoring the man’s minor protests.
“It’s nothing to be concerned over,” Ignis insists as Noctis carefully cleans the blood away from the wound. He’s right of course, the cut is fairly deep but nothing requiring serious medical attention. Noctis releases the injured hand and grabs onto the other one so he can pull his advisor over to the sofa and push him down onto it.
“Stay,” he tells Ignis while he walks to the bathroom to grab a bandage and some antibiotic ointment. He returns to the couch with his supplies in hand and kneels down on the floor to begin cleaning the cut.
“Really, highness, this is nothing for you to be bothered with. I can…” Ignis protests, trying to tug his hand out of Noct’s grip.
“Shut up Specs,” Noctis cuts him off and glares up at him until he stops fighting and relaxes his hand so he can continue. He gently attends to his task, being extra careful not to aggravate the cut as he wraps on the bandage and sets Ignis’ hand back on his lap.
“Thank you, Noctis,” Ignis says softly as he attempts to rise from the couch. Noctis just shakes his head and pushes him back down.
“I didn’t say you can move yet. Just relax, Iggy. That’s not a suggestion,” Noctis says with authority as he crosses his arms and stares his advisor down until he relents.
“Noct…dinner…” Ignis argues weakly.
“Can wait,” Noctis insists. “There’s blood all over everything anyhow, so just lay back while I go pick up something else.”
Ignis bows his head, ashamed of his failure, and throws himself back against the couch pillows with a frustrated sigh. Noctis gives a triumphant smirk and collects phone from the charger before shrugging on his jacket and grabbing his keys from a bowl near the door.
“Just stay put Specs, I’ll be back in a little while...  and don’t even think about getting up to clean. That’s an order,” Noctis shoots Ignis a pointed look and the older teen just nods his head in defeat. After Noctis leaves Ignis throws an arm over his eyes in shame. Not ever one to disobey a direct order, he decides to make himself comfortable until Noctis returns.
-
Ignis wakes a few hours later to soft cluttering sounds coming from the kitchen. He blinks rapidly for a few seconds, wondering why everything seems so off until he realizes that he’s not wearing his glasses and that they’ve been set carefully on the coffee table. He puts them on and stands up, pushing the blanket that had been carefully tucked around his shoulders to the side. Noctis is in the kitchen pulling plates of heated take-out out of the microwave and he smiles softly at Ignis as he walks over.
“I stopped by your favorite stir-fry place and got some of those fancy noodles you won’t shut up about,” Noctis says shyly as Ignis blinks down at the food in surprise. “I also dropped by the café and got one of those giant cups of coffee and some cake for dessert.”
“You didn’t have to do that,” Ignis looks lovingly over at Noctis with a soft smile on his face as the black haired teen blushes and shrugs his shoulders.
“Specs, you went out to the market at 3 am in your pajamas the other day to get ice cream for me and Prompto so we could celebrate finally beating the final boss of Justice Monsters 3, this is no big deal,” Noctis smiles as Ignis walks over and pulls him in for a tight hug.
“Thank you, love,” he whispers in Noct’s ear as he places a gentle kiss to the crown of his head.  Noct tilts his head up and instead gives Ignis a proper, sweet, kiss.
“Just don’t make me have to order you to relax ever again, idiot. You’re allowed to have an off day once in a while, and I don’t exactly mind getting the opportunity to take care of you for a change,” He pulls away with a smile and smacks Ignis playfully on the shoulder. Ignis squeezes Noct, still wrapped in his arms, and shows his gratitude with another kiss.
“Yes, your highness,” he mutters into Noct’s hair after they pull apart again. Noctis flashes him another brilliant smile and Ignis feels his heart melt inside his chest. Even the worst days could be made better with his sweet Prince by his side.

Okay, while I do absolutely love Final Fantasy XV to bits and pieces, I have several (lmao) complaints about it… Lots of spoilers… and yeah this shit is long so congratulations to those who actually takes the time to read this <3
I do have to say that I’m a bit disappointed with how the end of the game became SO linear. Like, it gave us such an open world to work with, only to have it eventually follow directly from point A to point B in the end. And the ending itself left me very VERY empty… Like so much happened to build up the whole relationship between all of them, and just the fact that we don’t really know what happens to the rest of the guys after Noctis took his duty to be the true king left me in so many broken pieces. To give us such a heartbreaking ambiguous ending like that is just… fuck I hated it… I stay up at night just wondering wth happened. Like I loved the premise of the story line and how Noctis wasn’t your typical prince. But the despite this game being under construction for so many years, the plot became its biggest weakness. Like, besides Noct, the game didn’t do much to really flesh out the other characters such as Gladio, Prompto, and especially Ignis. Which is kind of sad considering that a lot of the emphasis on the game is how we should cherish each other– but we never fully got to know them?? Like I know that the Brotherhood anime did provide some insight to the characters and that we did get a little explanation for Prompto’s past in the game, but honestly– I’m still left in the dark??? This is just my opinion, but you can’t just have a set of great characters and have the story driven by their relationship, and LEAVE out their own backgrounds???
Ahh and don’t even get me started with Luna. When I heard that we had the opportunity to finally have Noct and Luna meet, I got so excited and happy because they really did seem to love each other. But right when I finally got to meet her, did the game take her away from us??!! I was so deeply hurt by that because in the game they made it where she apparently did so much for Noct, but we never really got to see and understand that from the few moments that they showed her and it was just really upsetting. Like, from what I remember, they said that Noct and Luna haven’t seen each other for 12 years??? And so the fact that when they finally meet, she freakin’ dies just like that just killed me. Shit, when Noct told her, “I only wanted to save you…” I was like ,”BOI ME TOO, FUCK– LUNA I’M SORRY I COULDN’T SAVE YOU.” I really wanted to know Luna and grow to love her like how I did with the boys, but we never got the opportunity to and I felt a bit betrayed at that point… TT TT
Anyway, also another complaint I have was just the entirety of Chapter 13 itself. Well first of all, I was sad because, the same day that I pimped up my Regalia is the same day that it got fucking ruined. I was so sad… And I didn’t mind the fact that we had to save Prompto, I was looking forward to that and the whole sweet reunion, but that whole chapter was just tedious and a mess. It wasn’t hard, but it was just so ridiculously long and painful that it made me NOT want to replay the game because of that tbh. And not only that, but I wish they went more in-depth with the whole citizens turning into daemons, I thought that was a super interesting concept, but to only bring it up at the end of the game and have all of that information thrown at you just– threw me off. I kind of zoned out by the time Prompto was explaining his past and I was like “Wait what– What’s an MT again? Prompto, my dude are you gonna turn into a daemon too?” Obviously, I was way too focused on getting the hell out of that hellish city (because I was already pissed off at how excruciatingly long that chapter was) rather than to listen to whatever baby Prompto was saying. Sorry. Anyway, when I was finally reunited with all of them AND I got my powers back, I was so fucking happy, bUT RIGHT WHEN WE GOT REUNITED, WE HAD TO BE SEPARATED AGAIN. WHICH BRINGS ME TO FUCKING CHAPTER 14 WITH THE WHOLE DAMN 10 YEAR TIME SKIP. UM WTF.
Like that whole time that Noct was in that 10 year time skip just made me so confused– was he absorbed in the crystal the entire time and he somehow just ended up on that island with a conveniently located boat??? Not only that, but the fact that when you go onto the gear menu to see Noct’s awkwardly aged face on his adolescent 20 year old body made me laugh so hard. Like it just didn’t fit– aND WHY THE HELL DOES NOCT LOOK SO OLD FOR A 30 YEAR OLD. It said that in the beginning of the game he’s 20 years old, but why the hell does my boy look like he’s 48 or something. Shit my parents are in their 50s and they look younger than he does. But I must say that both Gladio and Ignis aged so well, they look hella good… Prompto… on the other hand… looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo with that goatee… but I still love you Prompto. ANYWAY, chapter 14 made me upset too because, as I said, the game became super linear by this time, so rather than having such a fulfilling reunion, it’s kinda falls flat to me. It’s just like “Oh hey what’s up Noct? Buy some potions, and gear up bc we’re heading straight to the final battle okay???” Like I WANTED TO SEE WHAT CINDY LOOKED LIKE TBH??? SINCE THEY KEPT MENTIONING HER, BUT WE NEVER GOT TO SEE THE OLDER CINDY GREET US. And then once we get to the fucking Crown City, the map did an absolutely terrible fucking job in telling us where to go. I fucking wasted so many potions and exlirs on myself and my team, running around in circles trying to find out where the hell to go, while at the same time trying to avoid the ridiculously strong ass monsters, ONLY to find out that we had to go underground. Seriously??? I think I wasted 20-30 minutes until I turned to my bro who finished the game to tell me where the fuck to go because I was already so pissed off. And with the end game bosses… It didn’t feel all that great beating that Fire God and beating Ardyn because of the expected cut scenes you unlock after draining their lives down to a certain point. Shit, I mean, I felt more satisfied after defeating a coeurl leopard or finally obtaining a helixhorn from the Duplicorns tbh. And just… well as I said, the ending left me so empty with Noctis’ death and the ambiguity of whatever happened to the rest of the guys.
I honestly wish they could re-do the ending where Noct and Luna actually do get married with the boys and everyone else there celebrating the beautiful wedding in Altissia. Now that would be such a fulfilling ending because it would feel as if, everything that I’ve worked for paid off. From building the bonds between Noct and his comrades, to defeating the imperials and taking back the throne, to finally being able to be reunited with Luna and have the wedding that they’ve always wanted. That’s what I wanted and expected, but instead, they really just took everything away from us haha. It just didn’t feel right you know? Like I understand that with the way that the story was developing, and the growth of Noctis’ character, it was set up that he was finally able to learn what it meant to be a true king who sacrificed everything for all those who gave everything up for him… but come on… he could’ve done that AND have had an happy ending.
Like the game did an AMAZING job with building such an extensive world that the players could be immersed in, the side quest and hunts were repetitive, but they were never boring for me, not only that, but the characters were so very lovable. But the fact that the game made me love the side quests and want to just focus on the side quests MORE than the actual story is really… telling you something about the actual plot itself.
I have other complaints about the game and the mechanics, but I’ll just keep this rant mainly about the plot lool. Thank you for reading.
