what are your thoughts on fujoshis/fudanshis?

honestly might not be my place in many ways to answer this question haha but if u want my maybe irrelevant take: tbh I think it’s bullshit? I get it that it can become a bit cringey and in - imo very rare - circumstances slightly predatory when a straight woman is obsessed w gay content, but at the end of the day these are literally derogatory terms against ppl who enjoy gay pairings in manga or whatever and words absolutely created out of homophobia and misogyny, and I don’t think it’s like good or woke to use them. I’ve had this rant a few times also but I need ppl to evaluate their priorities when they’re focusing literally any attention whatsoever on condemning “”fujoshis”” when like, 100% of straight men get away with openly fetishising lesbianism in a way that has significantly greater real world consequences.
