I'm so distraught over everything w ochako and himiko... ik that's not rlly your thing on this blog or anything but godddd I'm unwell over it n I don't have anybody irl to talk to about bnha except my bf (who does NOT agree w me on most points regarding this anime unforch)

it's been years since I shipped something like this instead of passively consuming the base content (or self-shipping) and good lord has it fucked me up. my girlies deserve better. I am in love with them and their hurt and their care for each other and I want to cry over it.

honeybee babie!! oh honeybun i am so so sorry :(( honestly i think that like,,, 98% of bnha fans are seriously upset/disappointed with the ending(s) their favourite characters got. i know i am!!! but what makes toga’s ending in particular even worse is that like;;; genuinely imo if any one member of the league deserved to live, it was her. i’ve had this discussion in depth with a friend but we both believe toga had the best chance at actual redemption. she was so young and so misunderstood and it really seemed like ochako had broken through to her!!! she could’ve been rehabilitated!!! ugh!!!!!!!!!!!

BNHA S2 Ep12 - Todo/Baku Pre fight? & Fight

Yeah I know I already made a post somewhere about TodoBaku Sports Festival Final Fight but I am back to it because this ep is just so fucking good.... for bkdk! lol

I'm actually gonna watch bit by bit and comment along because there are some gems in different scenes of this episode.

Let's begin!

First of, Katsuki is such a fucking PUNK for real lmao the way he fucking kicks the door of the waiting room open?! 🤣 That idiot is acting like a fucking gremlin without even knowing there's someone in the room, i.e. he seriously doesn't give a shit about manners at all in all aspects of his life lol (also that "Huh?" and dumbfounded face he has when he realises he's in the wrong room? Fucking priceless lol)

THEN, Todo gets out of his stupor when Kats asks him (more like blasts him) "Where the heck you're looking?" and Todo goes on a ramble about how Deku said the same thing, acted recklessly to blow away his personal issues and shit, and of course, he ends with "You guys were childhood friends, right? Was he like that too when you were young?" and what do we see? Katsuki's fucking twitching from being asked that and before he can even really 'think', his subconscious provides him with flashbacks of Deku saving him during the Sludge Villain accident and the damn river childhood memory (lmao I think the next time I'll binge watch bnha, I'll be counting how many fucking times Kats has been thinking of that particular scene man). THIS IS BIG PEOPLE. Kats has "that damn nerd"'s face in his mind so fucking much (lol) and by being shown those flashbacks, it's clear that we're supposed to understand something else than "I just fucking hate this guy so much". Hori and Bones are showing us those memories over and over again throughout the series, and yeah at this particular moment when Todo asks about Deku, Kats thinks of Deku saving and helping him and he clenches his fists, pissed by it because at this stage of the story, he's still not 'understanding' what "Save to Win" means (to put it plainly, he knows something seriously ticks him off when he thinks of Deku and how he never hesitates to come and help/save people even while being a useless quirkless nerd, but he's so stuck to being angry about it, he's refusing to take a minute and truly think of what other feelings are lying underneath that anger... I guess that's why I found his character development so beautiful 🧡)

Anyway I digress lol

Back to the Todo/Baku scene, Kats blows up his fuse saying "Who the hell cares about that damn nerd" and then orders Todo to use his flames on him before storming out of the room and walking to the stage with anger written all over his face.

Like I know people would take what he's saying literally: "I'll win indisputably and be at the top!"... But honestly? After what just happened? the conversation between him and Todo and Kats having flashbacks of Deku, it's rather clear that all is thinking about is more along the lines of "I'll beat the Half & Half Bastard in the same type of fight he had against Deku and win and I'll be above Deku because of it!". Todoroki here is literally just a roundabout way for Katsuki to feel (finally) superior to Deku again (the nerd beat him twice already lol). That's also why he's so pissed at the way he won the tournament.

*taking a huge breath because of the next scene*

I'm not gonna talk too much about it cuz I already made a post for it (will link it later if I find it lol) but yeah. Just reached the actual battle on stage. First of, Sero's comment about Kats coming out of the ice like a mole is so fucking hilarious, can someone please draw a mole!Kacchan deojzfremfe

More seriously, time for some appreciation for Kat's fucking fighting skills man (pic below), I mean... the fucking mobility, reflexes and smartness he has when it comes to combat are so fucking amazing!! That precise explosion to propel himself to Todo's left and avoid the ice attack while still being in the air? Like damn, my boy, you're hot!

Aaand we get back to his inferiority complex in full bloom when Todo grabs him to block his attack but instead of using his flames, simply throws him away. (Endeavor should have shut his goddamn mouth I swear lol)

You know what comes next, right?... His full anger is back and of course, he's got to mention Deku again djsmekdldle "There's no point if I can't get higher up than Deku" ARE YOU SERIOUS LOL

This is literally screaming Katsuki's fucking obsession with Izuku, again lol the only thing I find missing here? The fact that based on Deku's face, he's probably heard this, yet we don't hear his thoughts at the moment nor later during the series (well up until Deku vs Kacchan part 2, a little). It's a real shame.

And we finish off with Deku shouting at Todo "Don't give up, do your best!" which triggers Todo to actually get his shit together for six seconds (lol) and what do we see? Kats running to the dude but with enough time to spare a quick glance at his nerd lmao I can't man, somebody kill me already please 🤣😭💚🧡

He's actually fucking happy! lol Why? pure conjecture but I think it's because he knows that Deku's words will have some sort of impact on Todo and lead him to push himself to have a proper fight too. (That or he's just happy to hear his baby shouting? lol ok ok I'm shutting up)

And yeah, first time launching his Howitzer Impact, he doesn't have the time to notice that Todo pulled his flames back and he's stunned when he realises that it didn't happen (before getting pissed and put to sleep by Midnight)

Honestly, I've been listening to Kats' voice when he's holding the passed-out Todo by the shirt and shouting things, and that dude really gets emotional and on the verge of crying when he's frustrated man it's something else. I mean that happen in s1 when he lost to Deku (Bakugo Katsuki's Starting Line ep) and he's actually crying in frustration. It's just the same here.

Look at his face, my god...

I'm sure if Midnight didn't actually put him to sleep, it would have happened. (There's so much emotion in his voice omg I wanna hug that baby)

Anyways, like I said... lots of bkdk gems in that episode alone. Can't wait to get to the other episodes lol

Also you seem to clearly forget that shouto was in fact on that path of pettiness and self-destruction, though in a much lesser extent pre and during sports festival, KNOW YOUR HISTORY BUDDY INSTEAD OF REMEMBERING ANYTHING YOU WANT TO REMEMBER. Also please learn the accurate meaning of temper tantrum before throwing such words around carelessly. I also see you being salty about spiderman nwh as if spiderman saving the villains wasn’t the best part of the movie that quite bluntly made me extremely like the movie so much, so i can clearly expect your reaction to the ending of the manga. I am gonna relish it. Man i have finally found the first person in the leaks saying that dabi is gonna die. At the very least it is just him, also be careful when you trust the doctor, he isn’t a reliable narrator.

‘’The fight between Shoto vs Touya ended in two chapters? Really? This is one of the most biggest dissapointing things I seen since I read MHA. The fight was anticlimatic and was mehhh. This is lame.

I guess I will be looking forward too seeing Deku,Uraraka and Endeavour fights than this,if this fighted ended as anticlimatic as this.

I doubt it will go the same direction as Aot. But MHA needs to do better with the final arc fights from the looks of it so far. Because If Shoto vs Touya just ended in two chapters this is one of the most underwhelming and anticlimatic fight I seen in the series. The hype didn t live up to it's expectation 

Nope this is final arc and Shoto vs Touya has been hype for a while this is far too anticlimatic and underwhelming to just end in two chapters. It's either rush writing or lazy writing. Horikoshi should just have made Shoto vs Touya in the last war arc no need to settle this at the final arc. What a waste of time.

Clearly you don t understand what is a concise story if you think Shoto vs Touya is satisfying to just end in two chapters no offense

That's not an excuse Horikoshi built the final battle for Deku amd allies vs Shiggy,AFO and his allies not just Deku,AFO and Shiggy.If its just about them only,this series should just end last war arc. This is the time to expand and develop on all the characters including the main characters,supporting characters and the villians and their fights. So far I am not seeing it.’’ 

I personally disagree with this because the fight was just wonderful and that the whole point was to help and save touya not beat the shit out of him, though i do agree that the characters could be a bit more developed though.

This was a response from someone to the no1′s first comment and was very satisfying to me imho, so bravo for saying something good to him because he deserves the shade. Also please don’t go insulting others okay? You lose your point when you start throwing insults.

So TLDR: This chapter was just awesome and with just some personal nitpicks, just perfect, stan Shouto for being one of the best characters in the whole manga and a true hero and have a nice day/night.

BLCD Review: Hinekure wa Koi ga Saku

Synopsis: Sakura Somei has been praised for being cute ever since he was little. In high school, he heard rumors about Tsukasa Yukihira, a guy even better looking than himself, and finds himself falling for him at first sight. Sakura is so sure Tsukasa will fall for his pretty-boy charms if he hangs around him long enough, he follows him to the point of acting like a stalker. Although he manages to get into the same college as Tsukasa, his stubborn personality doesn't allow him to come clean about how he feels. Sakura is eventually unable to keep his feelings at bay and ends up locking lips with Tsukasa! In the aftermath, he soon discovers what kind Prince Charming Tsukasa is really like...! 

Review Proper

Huh, this wasn’t actually as bad as I’d thought it would be.

Idk y, but Nobana Saori reminds me a bit of Sakura Riko (we’ll get to them later), so I wasn’t looking forward to listening to this at all. This is actually the main reason why I couldn’t get on with finishing with my BLCD log because this was the one spear-heading it until Alternative came along. 😂 I’ve had this CD for a loooonnnngggg while. Christ! 

Also, I was so late in the game that I couldn’t find Japanese raws of this anymore (I believe Hoshi only did one chapter), so I opted to read a Spanish scan of this. Man, was I out of touch with that language! To think that my Japanese was way better than my Spanish now (like if my Spanish was as good as a toddler’s, then my Japanese is that of an...older toddler. 👍 That being said, I noticed some slight differences with the Spanish scan and the BLCD, but since I haven’t seen the original raws, I can’t judge it’s accuracy entirely.

So the plot was cliché. I was surprised that Yukihira didn’t turn out to be that much of a sadist, though. It really looked like the perfect recipe for a 2007 shitstorm because we had a kakkoii sadist-looking prince and a kawaii tsundere princess. I’m still annoyed with Sakura, though. Miss me with that tsundere bs. Also, as if Kuniharu being the third side to the triangle wasn’t obv from the first panel he appeared. 🙄 But yo, I’m mad, I ship Kuniharu with Sakura more. My boy has been robbed.

Speaking of Sakura,

FU👏RU👏KA👏WA MA👏KO👏TO👏 WHAT IS YOU DOIN???!!!!

What the hell? That was the worst performance I’ve ever heard of his! And what the hell am I doing listening to him bottom right after listening to Alternative where he topped??? I umm...hated this performance ngl. What the hell ever happened in between Change World and Principle??? You did good on those tho??? I’m very confused. And even though he struggled with breathing during his performance on Ayakashi no Hakoniwa, he sounded like he was Horie Shun pretending to be Furukawa Makoto pretending to be Satou Takuya here! I know, I’m just as confused as you are. Well, at least it was great to know that Ayakashi no Hakoniwa was a huge improvement from this. 🙄

However, despite the fact that Sakura’s voice and character was an insult to me, Sakura did pull through (albeit by just a small margin) later in the story. He still was a big tsun tsun, but he learned to be more forward after they started going out. This also brings us to our next topic and the main reason why I backed off from destroying Furukawa Makoto in this review; Lounsbury Arthur.

Lounsbery Arthur, who is he? And why is he so relevant in this BLCD despite how shady his character was in the beginning?

Well, my friends, there actually wasn’t anything that special about the tone or range of his voice, but damn, he made me take my attention off of Furukawa Makoto’s acting! For someone who only has one BLCD (he has a role in Yoidore, but it’s not a lead role), Nama Hanshin, on his belt, he certainly did well. I mean, he did well in Nama Hanshin, too, and he had great chemistry with Tsuchida Reo, but Arthur had to carry this whole CD on his back alone this time! He took my mind off Furukawa’s acting so well that I didn’t even mind the mattress mambo! 

I will definitely be watching this man closely because he has a bright future ahead of him.

In conclusion, we have cliché plot, one-sidedly investing voice acting, and okay chemistry. If you can read Spanish, then lucky you; you can definitely read the manga while listening to this, but I’d rather pass on the BLCD if you’re more used to hearing Furukawa Makoto’s seme roles and or him acting well. 🙊 Please listen to Principle if you want to listen to an uke role where Furukawa was slayed. 👌
