Miyuki Kazuya x F!Reader
In which you and Miyuki Kazuya share a special moment while waiting for the train…
- warnings: none
- notes: this is my first fanfic in a while so sorry if it’s a little bad 😶 and ty to my friend who inspired this idea
Being in the train station during rush hour in Tokyo is never fun. It’s always too crowded on the platform with sweaty bodies squeezing through. If you weren’t cautious enough, it was easy to get crushed or lost in the crowd of people.
As much as you hated rush hour, this one was a little more bearable since Miyuki Kazuya was standing right by your side. You and Kazuya had just finished watching a baseball game between the Yomiuri Giants and the Yakult Swallows. And of course, the game had to end just at the start of rush hour.
Looking down at your phone while waiting, the train should have been here around five minutes ago.
“The train is unusually late today…” You sighed peering at the train tracks to see if anything was arriving. There was nothing to be seen or heard though.
“Just means I get to spend more time with you before heading back to the dorms.” Kazuya teased. You let out a little chuckle at his words.
“Hmmm, maybe that doesn’t sound so bad. But still, I hope it gets here soon though. I’m not liking how the platform is filling up.” Shifting your balance from one foot to another, you started to feel rather uncomfortable. It was hard to stay calm when more people began pushing through.
Suddenly, a man in business attire accidentally pushed you into the crowd. Losing your footing, you felt yourself slip on your steps and begin to fall. Unable to catch yourself, you accepted your faith of falling on the subway platform. But, then you felt an arm circle around your waist keeping you up. Peering up at the person who caught you, you locked eyes with your boyfriend.
“Are you hurt?” He pulled you back to stand properly.
“Just accidentally got bumped a little too hard. I’m all fine though, don’t worry.” Giving him a reassuring smile, Kazuya was still feeling unnerved.
Without any words, Kazuya wrapped his arms around you from behind. He settled his head right atop of yours while his arms held you close against his chest. Kazuya was never one for public affection, so this was definitely out of both of your comfort zones.
“Wha- What’s this for?” You stuttered. This hug was unexpected, but it was comforting. It was exactly what you need at that very moment. All the anxiety suddenly washed away from your body.
“Hmmm…nothing. Just wanted to hold you.” His actions didn’t need to be explained for you to understand his intentions.
Continuing to wait for the crowded train, he still kept you in his arms rocking back and forth. No words needed to be exchanged between the two of you. You felt his warmth radiate off his body helping to you calm down. This was a type of affection you could get used to.
“Thank you…” You whispered softly. You didn’t expect him to hear you, but he did. Instead of responding with words, he held you even closer to him and continued softly rocking you.
Even when the light of an incoming train started becoming brighter, he didn’t let go. He still held you by his side all the way back to the dorms.

..0 Surprise!
IN WHICH…
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ It’s a certain catcher’s birthday.
—
word count - 700
note - HAPPS
—
The quiet walk back to his dorm was calm, with the lingering chill of autumn leaving him in a thick hoodie and sweatpants. There was a bite in the air and his cheeks were pink while his hands took comfort in the pockets of his pants.
Nothing like a late night batting session. He had been in the indoor practice grounds alone, swinging off of a tee into a dingy net until his bucket was emptied. The resonating sound of bat meeting baseball filled the silence.
Now that he thought about it, Miyuki was alone the entire night. Normally, the grounds were scattered with members of the team either training or plain messing around. He hadn’t seen any of his teammates for some time now. After practice, everyone up and vanished.
Miyuki furrowed his brows as he continued the short walk back to the Spirit Dorm, now scanning the quiet area with a frown. It was like a ghost town. The vending machine was lonesome and the normal chatter from the dorms was replaced with the sound of crickets.
Normally, Miyuki would take a moment and relish in the silence. The star-dotted sky and orange leaved-trees, the cold breeze nipping at his nose and the flickering of a light post.
But then again, this wasn’t normal. Where the hell was everyone? The catcher peered around at the doors to each room as he neared the stairs that led up to the second floor. He felt like a dog, perking his ears to catch even the slightest sound of laughter or conversation. Miyuki’s frown deepened while his heart began to race. The cool, calm and collected Miyuki Kazuya was nervous. Letting out a harsh puff of air, he raced up the steps and to his room, fumbling for his key to unlock it.
He turned the cold knob, slowly pushing open the door. It was dark inside so he moved his hand towards the light switch. As he flicked his light on, he was met with a sight.
“Happy birthday!”
Cramped in his room was his team. With big smiles and little space, they cheered.
Miyuki felt a slight smile take over his frown, his pink cheeks deepening and a fuzzy feeling replacing his racing heart. He hadn’t expected them to remember it was his birthday.
Sawamura ran towards him with blazing eyes and a cartoonish grin. Trailing behind the pitcher, you carried a small gift in your hand.
“Happy birthday, Miyuki! How old are you now, 30?” Sawamura laughed loudly, hands proudly on his hips. The first year tossed an arm around your shoulders as you walked up, barking out another laugh.
Miyuki eyed you along with your present, “A gift? For me?” he smirked, though the warmth in his eyes betrayed his snarky expression.
Your eyes rolled as you tossed it to him, allowing him enough time to catch it in his hand. “Happy birthday, tanuki,” you huffed. The arm around your shoulder tightened as Sawamura shook with laughter, “Ha! Yeah, tanuki!”
You giggled as Sawamura went on— well that is until a knee sent him flying.
Kuramochi grinned at the first year now sitting on the ground, “Watch it, idiot.”
Miyuki watched the interaction then looked back to you. Fondly, he flicked your forehead, “Thanks.”
You rolled your eyes again before motioning for him to open his gift which was so finely wrapped with baseball-patterned paper.
He tore the wrapping and revealed a pack of baseball cards. The catcher grinned as he read over the cover before giving you a brighter smile.
“It was this or a stupid shirt that Mochi saw at the mall,” you snorted, rocking on the balls of your feet.
Kuramochi elbowed your side, “Hey! It was not stupid. It would’ve been sentimental and sweet,” he grumbled.
It would not, in fact, have been sentimental or sweet. The shirt had a corny print from some show that Jun and Sawamura watched, and you knew that Miyuki would’ve rather taken a ball to the face than wear it out in public. Personally, you like to think that you saved the birthday boy.
Suddenly, you found yourself squeezed next to Kuramochi. Miyuki wrapped his arms around the both of you, his chin resting on your shoulder. “Thanks, you guys.”

You Don't Love Me Anymore
Sawamura Eijun X Reader
Fluff
Warnings: None
"Don't you think you're being dramatic?" You sigh, putting down your book as you stare at your boyfriend who stares back at you before sighing and once again looking at the TV screen
You wouldn't have minded it, if only he hadn't been doing the exact same thing for over fifteen minutes already
It all started when you were reading a book as he entered the room, completely happy
"(F/N)!"
"(F/N)!" Sawamura keeps on calling but you just continue reading
Finally after a minute of him continuously calling your name, you decided to amuse him, "Yes, Eijun?" You ask him as he points at his lips
"A kiss?" He asks, smiling as he looks at you hopefully
"I'm doing something though." You raise the book as he huffs
"Just one."
"No."
"Please?"
"Nope."
"(F/N)!" He drags your name in a whine
"Later, okay?" You tell him as you hear him huff and walk toward the TV screen
"Come on, Eijun, I said I'm sorry." You sigh, sitting beside him as he 'hmphs' and ignores you
"Eijun." You groan, blocking the view with your face, but Sawamura just looks to the other side
"Come on, Eijun." You sigh, "Forgive me?" You switch to the other side and smile at him but he just huffs and looks away
"You don't love me anymore." He sulks as you roll your eyes at your boyfriend's overreaction
"Don't you think you're being too dramatic?" You ask him as he lets out a loud, scandalous gasp
"I was just kidding." You say, pulling him closer to you as he tries to wriggle away
"Ei!" You whine, locking him in your arms as he still refuses to look at you
"I love you." You try winning him back with sweet words, knowing how putty he becomes when hearing them
But he just huffs as you sigh
"I'm sorry for ignoring you, Junie." You apologize as you repeatedly kiss his cheek, "Forgive me?" You rest your chin on his shoulder as he finally turns to you, lips still in a pout as he points at it
You roll your eyes as you finally give him a proper kiss on the lips, making the southpaw smile

my baseball nerd | miyuki kazuya x reader
summary: in which kazuya is just being the baseball nerd he is
word count: about 500
just fluff <33
The sound of the television filled the room as Kazuya sat on the couch, his eyes glued to the baseball game playing out on the screen. Y/N joined him, curious about the intensity in his gaze as he watched every pitch and analyzed every play.
"Kazuya, you're such a baseball nerd," she teased, nudging him playfully.
He turned to her with a mischievous smile, not taking his eyes off the game. "Well, Y/N, it's not every day you get to witness the brilliance of the game firsthand. There's so much strategy, technique, and skill involved. It's fascinating."
Y/N chuckled, leaning closer to him. "I'll never understand your obsession with baseball, but I do love seeing your passion for it. You light up when you talk about the game."
Kazuya's eyes twinkled with excitement. "It's more than just a game, Y/N. It's a beautiful dance between the pitcher and the batter, a battle of wits and athleticism. Each pitch holds the potential for greatness or disappointment. And as a catcher, I get a front-row seat to all of it."
Y/N leaned back against the couch, crossing her arms playfully. "I suppose I should consider myself lucky to have a baseball nerd for a boyfriend. At least you'll always have something to talk about."
Kazuya's grin widened as he turned to her, his eyes filled with enthusiasm. "Oh, Y/N, you have no idea. I could talk about baseball for hours. The strategies, the statistics, the rivalries—it's endless. And I won't hesitate to educate you on the intricacies of the game."
She rolled her eyes, feigning exasperation. "Please, spare me the baseball lectures. I might just fall asleep."
He pretended to be offended, placing a hand over his heart dramatically. "Fall asleep? My passionate discussions about baseball are riveting, Y/N. I promise you won't be able to tear your eyes away."
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "Alright, Kazuya, I'll humor you. Just don't be too disappointed when I start daydreaming about other things."
He feigned shock, his eyes widening. "How dare you? Baseball should be the only thing occupying your mind at all times!"
Their banter continued throughout the game, with Kazuya passionately explaining various plays and Y/N playfully teasing him about his obsession. It was a familiar dance between them, a playful back-and-forth that brought joy and laughter to their relationship.
As the game reached its climax, Kazuya's excitement grew, his eyes never leaving the screen. Y/N watched him, marveling at his childlike enthusiasm and unwavering dedication to the sport he loved.
"You know," she said, breaking the playful banter for a moment, "your passion for baseball is one of the things I love about you. It's a part of who you are, and I wouldn't change it for the world."
Kazuya turned to her, a soft smile on his face. "And your acceptance of my baseball nerdiness is one of the things I love about you. You embrace all parts of me, even the ones that might seem a little strange."
Y/N leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Well, someone has to keep you grounded, right?"
He chuckled, his eyes still glinting with excitement. "I suppose you're right. And who knows, maybe one day you'll find yourself caught up in the magic of baseball too."
Y/N grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Never say never, Kazuya. With you by my side, anything is possible."

Love & Lore's: Autumn Sweater Event
5 + 1 (The 5 times you borrow Miyuki Kazuya’s hoodie and the 1 time he borrows yours)
A/N: Hi y'all! Super excited to post this fic for @love-and-lore and their Autumn collab event. When the theme was announced as sweaters, this idea immediately came to mind. Hoodies count as sweaters right 😅 Please note this does include a female reader and pet names (babe, sweetheart).
Word Count: 2.4k
1. Running late to work
Monday. Most people’s least favorite day of the week. Weekends came and went faster than expected. And while Kazuya tried to get you to prep for the upcoming week during the weekend, you preferred spending your time with him and indulging in your hobbies.
It is also noted that he tried to get you to break the habit of leaving your jackets on the back of your dining room chairs. Both, however, were a moot point but soon would cause your downfall.
“Shoot I’m going to be late!” You curse under your breath as you scurry around the apartment in an effort to get your belongings together. Lunch, check. Purse, check. What am I missing? My business jacket! I have a presentation today, can’t forget that.
Checking your watch, your eyes widen in shock. Crap I have to hurry or I’ll miss my train!
Without a second thought, you grab the jacket from the back of a chair before rushing out the door, not even having enough time to wake your boyfriend up with a kiss like usual. Folding it over your purse, you rush out of the house, determined to make your train on time.
Luckily, you board the train and get to work right in the knick of time, much to your delight. However, once you settle yourself, your phone buzzes twice and you look to see a message from Kazuya including a picture.
“Good morning. If you wanted to give me something to wear, we could have talked about it. Maybe I’m not the only one who needs glasses, think you got a little mixed up.” You bypass his sleepy morning smile and your heart drops as you see him holding up your blazer. Your eyes flash down to your purse and sure enough you took his navy blue hoodie. A deep sigh escapes your body as you text back.
“I’m sorry Kazuya. Seems you’ve proven your point on being prepared for the week ahead -_-" ” With a bit of embarrassment, you ask one of your peers to borrow their blazer for your presentation.
2. Grocery shopping
Milk. Eggs. Bread. Tofu. Salmon. One by one, Kazuya and you start loading up the car with your groceries. You were more focused on how to pack up the trunk of your car until Kazuya stopped to look up at the sky, light and dark gray swirls reflecting on his glasses.
“Hmmm. We better move quickly. Looks like the rain is coming sooner than expected.”
“Say less!” The couple moves double time to pack up their items and start getting on their way home. While they’re able to get home in good time, the stormy weather was faster as the sky opened up as they parked.
“Scared of a little rain are you?” He teases as he shifts the gear into park.
“You know I’m not, I just don’t like getting wet.”
“Didn’t know my girlfriend was a cat.” Kazuya continues, causing you to narrow your eyes at him.
“Just for that I should make you bring in the groceries yourself.” You sass.
“Ah ah no need to be like that, sweetheart. I thought you loved me? What happened to doing things together?” He chuckles with a snarky grin.
“We could but not if you’ll be a jerk about it.” You pout playfully, causing him to laugh.
“You know I could bring it in myself, right?”
“I know but you know I love proving you wrong. Luckily, I’m already prepared.” Reaching past him in the back seat, you pull out one of his black hoodies. Grabbing the bottom of the hoodie, you work your body through it until it swallows you whole.
He laughs yet again, “Well alright then, partner. We’ll get a nice warm shower after this.” Both of you brace yourselves before rushing out into the rain.
3. Feeling sick
“Achoo! Achoo!” Your body seizes before relaxing again. The door to the guest room opens up and in walks Kazuya with a steaming bowl of soup. You sit up, reaching for a tissue to soothe your sniffling nose.
“Babe! You could have left it outside; I would have gotten it. I don’t want you to get sick too.” Kazuya shakes his head but it’s easy to tell he’s frowning behind his mask.
“It’ll be fine. This is just to make sure you eat some of the soup while it’s hot. I’ll be fine like this.” He assures you before setting up a tray so you can eat. Throwing your tissue away, you shift to the edge of the bed to see the biggest bowl of soup.
“Kazuya, this is a lot of soup. You don’t expect me to eat this in one go right?”
His eyes narrow before softening, “It would be ideal but eat as much as you can. It’s a family recipe.”
Your ears perk up at that, “Oh? From who?”
He grins, “From me. I got sick one time and created my miraculous soup. I was five times better the next day after eating it. All in one go might I add.”
You shake your head, “It would be from you,” but then a weak grin appears on your lips, “but if you’re sharing it with me, guess that makes me family.”
For once, you catch Miyuki off guard with that as his cheeks are a touch pink. You both had talked about marriage as a real possibility but were talking things slowly as to not rush things along. Normally, he’s the tease between the two of you but he doesn’t mind your teasing every once in a while. He chalks up this boldness to your weakened immune system.
“Yeah yeah yeah. Enough talk, time to eat. I’ll leave you to it.” He starts to go when you grab at his sleeve. He turns back around to see the prettiest pout on your lips.
“I know you have to go but for the record, I hate this. Only seeing you for a few moments here and there, it's not fair. Can’t I at least have something of yours to help me out?” Kazuya starts to tease you but just sighs instead. He’d have plenty of time to tease once you’re healed.
“Since you like hoodies so much you can have this one.” He grins before taking off his gray hoodie and handing it over. You take it happily and bring it to your face, eager to convince your nose to start working so you can at least catch a whiff of his cologne.
“Thanks Kazuya.” You smile, placing it on your lap before diving into your soup. His eyes crinkle softly before he leaves you with his soup and his hoodie.
4. Borrowing Stealing his gift
The door to the apartment opens, causing you to look around the corner from your spot on the sofa. “Hey, welcome back! How was it meeting up with Sawamura and Okumura?”
He chuckles, “It was fun. I swear Sawamura hasn’t changed at all since our time in high school. Okumura seems a lot more confident than before, surely because he had the best teacher.” Kazuya laughs, causing you to shake your head before noticing something in his hands.
“Oooh, what’s that? Is that a new hoodie I see? Red too?”
He holds it to his chest protectively, “Yes, as the amazing senpai I am, they got me a hoodie as a thank you. Also probably because I told them I’m living with a hoodie thief so you’re not allowed to touch this one.” Your face blanches, no he didn’t!
“I am not a thief! A borrower maybe but no thief!” You declare passionately, refusing to accept his slander no matter how true it was.
His eyes narrow at you skeptically, “Oh yeah? Where’s my black hoodie? What about the navy blue one?” He asks rapidly, letting you know that he’s apparently been keeping track but you’re quick to defend yourself.
“They’re all in the closet!”
And then he goes in for the kill, “On who’s side of the closet?”
You blush and look away, “That’s irrelevant.”
Kazuya laughs loudly, “Yeah that’s what I thought. Gotcha this time, sweetheart.” He walks by you with a grin as you decide to turn back to your tv show, knowing you’ve lost this time.
It isn’t until later when you’re sure that Kazuya is fast asleep, that you find the hoodie folded neatly on his side of the closet. Your hands gently pick up the hoodie and bring it to your face, admiring how soft it was. Yeah, I’ll have to take this.
In your admiration, you notice a piece of paper fall out of the front pockets. Picking it up curiously, you read the note in Kazuya’s handwriting, “Hands off my hoodie.”
Your eyes widen before scoffing at his note. Feeling crafty, you decide to switch out one of your red jackets with his new hoodie, even going so far as to put his note in one of the pockets.
Laughing evilly to yourself, you stash the hoodie in one of your drawers and slide back into bed beside Kazuya, satisfied with yourself. So much so, you don’t notice the grin he has on his face even in his “sleep”.
5. Ice cream spills
“This was a great idea! It’s always nice to get a workout in the park with you. Appreciate you taking it easy on me, babe.” You smile, deciding to catch your breath on the park bench. He smiles at you gently. Of course he wasn’t breaking a sweat but doing light workouts with you on the weekend was a nice way to spend time together.
“Of course. You did well and we passed an ice cream stand. How about I reward you for your hard work hmm?” Kazuya asks, knowing ice cream was certainly a weakness of yours. Immediately, your face lights up and before you can say the words, he smiles and heads off to the stand.
A few minutes later, he returns with two ice cream cones and hands you yours with a gentle smile. You thank him sweetly before diving in. And in the enjoyment of your ice cream, you spill some on your shirt.
“Seems you enjoyed yourself a little too much huh?” He chuckles, causing you to groan.
“Shut up.” You say playfully, before handing him your ice cream so you can remove your shirt. Luck favors the prepared it would seem and you already had a tank top underneath.
Folding up your shirt, you turn to get your ice cream from him, delighted to have your cold, sweet treat back. Unbeknownst to you, there was more than just your boyfriend's eyes on you.
Now normally, Kazuya isn’t a jealous person. He loves being able to show you off but only when he wants to.
Unfortunately, he’s too perceptive for his own good. Once, twice he noticed a few of the park joggers were enjoying the view and it wasn't nature. Tch, you heard the annoyed sound escape his lips.
“Something wrong?” You ask innocently. He hands you his ice cream and takes off his dark green hoodie.
“We were just working out. It’s not good for you to expose your body to so much air. Don’t want you getting sick again.” He says gently as he places the hoodie on your lap and takes the ice cream cones. A small smile graces your lips as you put on the hoodie.
“Thanks babe.” Cold lips press quickly against his warm cheek before going back to the ice cream. The next time the joggers pass by, he grins cockily.
“Show’s over.” Kazuya mouths to them.
1. The thief becomes the victim
Oftentimes, Kazuya has training camps all over the country to train as one does when they’re a professional athlete. While usually, you could rearrange your schedule to be close by, this was one of those times where he was going too far (aka outside of the country). This time, he would be away in America for an international training camp. So while you couldn’t be with him this time around, you both made sure to at least message or call.
It was halfway through his trip when you were able to hop on a video call with him.
“How’s the camp going?” You asked curiously, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.
“It’s going well. It’s been interesting to meet global stars and see them play. How are you doing?” He smiled, a little weary after a long day’s camp.
“I’m doing good. Work has been keeping me busy but I wish I could be with you instead. Don’t get a big head but I do miss you.” Kazuya smiles softly at that, the one true smile only reserved for you.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be back home before you know it.”
“That’s good. Still not soon enough though. That said, something weird must be going on.” You say as you shake the phone as you go to prop it up on your dresser, giving him a view of you from the waist up.
Kazuya raises an eyebrow as he sees you searching the bedroom, “What’s going on?”
“I can’t find my sky blue hoodie! I just got some workout pants that match the color perfectly and now I can’t find it. Did you see it when you were doing laundry?”
The corners of his lips attempt to straighten even though they curve up a bit, “Nope I haven’t seen it.” There’s a light tone in his voice that makes you slightly suspicious. Looking back at the camera, you see something behind him sticking out.
“Kazuya, could you move to the left for a second?” You request curiously, causing the mirth to show his eyes.
“Why? What are you after?” He asks playfully, but the second he moves an inch your eyes widen in disbelief.
“Is that my hoodie? The exact one I’m looking for?”
“Can’t be.” He easily denies. You roll your eyes and exclaim, “I know what my hoodie looks like!”
But then the reality of the situation sinks in, “Awww you miss me! It’s okay to admit it, Kazuya. I just didn’t expect you to steal my hoodie.” You sweetly tease him, making him blush a little as he tries to cover it up with a scoff.
“Of course I miss you, we do spend every day together.” You giggle, “Look at you being cute. I guess I’m happily in love with a hoodie thief of my own.”
He laughs, “Consider this payment for all the times you took my hoodies.”
“Sure sure, but I will always prefer you over your hoodies.” You claim causing him to smile.
“I sure hope so. You’ll have the real thing once I’m back home.” Kazuya promises, filling both of your hearts with warmth.

Daiya No Ace Scenarios: Meeting at University
Kuramochi Youichi
You meet in the campus center while waiting for your food. They call the order and you're surprised when some random guy is practically running to the counter to pick up your order.
You speed up to meet him at the counter and give him a piece of your mind when you both check the number. It was actually his but ironically you both get the same order. He says you have great taste and invites you to sit with him. You talk about classes and turns out he's in one of your main Sociology lectures.
You both fall into a rhythm of grabbing your favorite meal together before heading to lecture. Occasionally, you attend his games and it isn't long until he speeds his way into your heart.
"I didn't know you were that fast, Cheetah." "Of course you did. I had to be faster than you to grab my food the first time we met right? Ahahaha!" "You know what?" *Chaos ensues*
Miyuki Kazuya
He is a peer tutor in your Statistics class. Miyuki learned the material early and it works well with his baseball talents.
Despite his snarky attitude, he's actually pretty helpful and takes the time to really explain the chapters breaking it down in a way you understand. Your convinced he's your saving grace (even though you would never tell him that, his head would get too big if you did).
At the end of the semester, you make him a nice thank you card with a gift card to a local coffee shop. You hand it to him after your final, thinking you won't see him again. But he finds you around campus and makes sure to thank you in his own way by proposing to redeem the gift card together.
"No I can't spend it with you! It's a gift for you." "Well since it's my gift, I can spend it how I want. And I want us to grab a coffee so stop complaining and let's go."
Chris Takigawa Yuu
You meet Chris in your Anatomy and Physiology class when you're paired together for a research project. After meeting up after class to discuss potential topics, you both discover you have a love of sports which makes it much easier to pick something sports related.
You put together a research project about the anatomy of different athletes based on their respective sports. It helped that Chris knew a lot of athletes since he played baseball.
It was great to study athletes from various sports and it was clear Chris was very thoughtful and diligent. He smiles at how personable you are with the athlete you interview and how you thank them with ideas that'll help them (recipes/workouts).
Needless to say, you both get an A for the paper and the class and decide to celebrate a job well done.
"I'm glad we were partners. You're really cool, Chris." "Thank you, that's very kind of you. Likewise. It would be great to see you at the next game. If you'd like, I can get you a ticket." "Already way ahead of you."
Hope you enjoyed this! It was fun to put something together for my latest obsession 💕

Hi there! Could you write a reader insert story where Miyuki comforts and encourages the reader after an intense shoulder surgery? I was thinking reader-san to be a star softball player who she got in a collision in a big game and has to get surgery to try and fix it. I imagine reader-san would have a lot of anxiety and doubts about going to back to play once her sling is off.
Hi there anon! Thanks for the request. I apologize for the delay and I hope you enjoy reading it. Have a Happy New Year!
“The surgery was a success, y/n-san,” the doctor said with an encouraging smile. “If you rest and follow all of my instructions your shoulder will heal nicely. However, I’m not going to lie. It’s not going to be an easy road since you have to start physical therapy. But I’m confident that after that you’ll be able to play softball just like you wanted.”
You gave the doctor a small smile. “Thank you sensei,” you replied. “I’ll be sure to follow all of your instructions.
Your parents thanked the doctor and quickly excused themselves, saying that they needed to meet with him to get detailed aftercare instructions.
You just nodded with the same small smile plastered on your face. The corners of your lips were starting to hurt but that was nothing compared to the possibility of anyone discovering the truth. You just knew that nothing good would come out of saying it to anyone. They wouldn’t be able to understand. You were supposed to only feel grateful and nothing more. But the truth was that you were utterly terrified. You turned to look at your left shoulder which was bandaged with the string of the sling.
‘If I go through the recovery process and physical therapy, am I going to be able to play softball?’ you asked yourself. Anxiety starts to course through your veins as all of the anecdotes that you’ve heard and read about other athletes getting injured and not being able to play again. And if they do, they never go back to being the same kind of player.
‘Is that going to be my fate once the sling comes off?’ You just had surgery so you knew that a small part of you was definitely overthinking this. First, you had to rest and let your shoulder heal from the surgery, But you couldn’t help it. You’ve been always the type of person who rushed into action without thinking about anything else. Kinda like another fellow southpaw that she was great friends with. Sawamura Eijun.
Fortunately, Sawamura had not gone through a physical injury as you had. But he did go through yips which a lot of people would argue it’s the worst. Since it’s something that ultimately only players themselves can overcome. He was strong enough to do it.
‘Will I? Will be strong enough?’ Tears were forming in the corner of your eyes, threatening to fall. Softball was everything to you. It has been everything since you discovered the sport when you were just mere eight years old. You loved to pitch. There was nothing more exhilarating than getting on the mound. How life would be if you had to end up quitting the sport you love so much?
‘Knock Knock,’ you heard a light tapping on the door. You quickly wiped your tears with your right hand. The last thing you needed was to someone see you cry. “Yes?” you replied timidly, craning your head to the side to see who it was. The door opens but instead of seeing someone, you’re met with a bouquet of blue irises. “How are you feeling, y/n-chan?” she heard a masculine voice ask as he moved the bouquet to the side to reveal his face.
“Kazuya?” you asked in mild disbelief. Sure, you expected him to come to visit you since he was your boyfriend. But not this soon. “What are you doing here?”
The catcher flashed you his signature smirk. “What? I can’t visit my girlfriend after she had surgery?” he replied with a question of his own.
He turned to go to the small bathroom that was in the room to fill up the vase that he already had.
You snorted. “It’s not that,” you said. “I just wasn’t expecting you to come this soon. I thought you would come after practice,” you explained, following his every moment. He placed the vase on the nightstand next to you, before taking a seat. “Thank you. They are very beautiful.”
This time around he shot you a sincere smile. “I’m glad you like them.”
Your heart skipped a beat. Miyuki never ceased to cause that effect on you. Even when you were feeling at your lowest, his presence was always warming and comforting. However, that didn’t mean that you were ready for his visit. If he noticed that something was wrong with you then he would find a way to make you talk which you were not ready for.
Aside from being insanely handsome and insufferable, he was also extremely good at reading other people.
‘Why did I have to pick a catcher as my boyfriend?’
“You didn’t answer my question,’ Miyuki pointed out, now in a more concerned tone. “Are you in pain?” he asked.
“Oh sorry,” you averted your gaze, feeling flustered. “I’m not in pain. At least not yet. I’m still a bit groggy due to the anesthesia.”
Miyuki nodded. “Should you be sleeping then?”
You giggled while you playfully rolled your eyes. “I’m fine, mom.”
The catcher grumbled. “That’s not a nice attitude, young lady,” he played along.
You let out a small laugh. Your underlying anxiety was seeming to subside a bit. “Hai, Hai.”
“You should get plenty of rest so you can recover soon,” Miyuki said without a trace of playfulness in his tone. “I mean it,” he added.
“Will I?” you whispered, mainly to yourself. Your concerns were starting to bother you again.
“What was that?” he asked.
You shook your head in response, turning your head in the opposite direction so he can’t see you. You were starting to feel emotional again and didn’t want to risk crying in front of him.
“Y/n-chan, are you okay?” Miyuki asked, worried.
“Yes,” you replied without turning to look at him.
“Y/n-chan,” he called out your name in a firmer tone.
“No,” you shook your head with tears streaming down your face. “I’m not okay,” you break down.
Miyuki didn’t say anything as he got up from the chair and sat next to you on the bed. He gently wrapped your arms around you, careful so he wouldn’t hurt you, and started stroking your hair. You desperately hugged him back and sobbed in his arms.
“I’m scared, Kazuya,” you said in between sobs. “I know it’s silly but I’m scared. I’m scared that I’m not going to be ever be the same. That I’m not going to be able to pitch again,” you confessed your darkest fears.
The catcher shook his head. “It’s not silly,” he said firmly. “It’s completely normal that you feel scared.”
You looked up at him. “Really?”
“Of course,” Miyuki said, wiping a tear away from the corner of your eye. “Every athlete that gets injured has that same fear,” he added in a matter- of- fact tone. “Especially you since pitchers are the most selfish players,” he said in jest.
You pouted and rolled your eyes. “And you catchers are control freaks.”
Miyuki let out a dry chuckle. “Maybe we are,” he half-admitted. “I was scared to y’know? When I got injured. Yes, I was being reckless and still played when I wasn’t supposed to, but that didn’t mean that I wasn’t scared. Even when the doctor said that it would just take a few weeks to recover. I was scared that the team was going to leave me behind.”
You widened your eyes in shock. “Why didn’t you tell me that back then?”
“Why didn’t you want to tell me how you were feeling just now?” he countered.
You bit your lip. “It’s not easy to talk about it.”
“No, it’s not,” he said in agreement. “Y/n you’re the strongest and most determined person I know. I believe in you and your strength. So I know that you’re going to do even the impossible so you can start playing again. You’re not going to give up,” he said with a gentle smile.
You couldn’t help but smile back at him, feeling a warm fuzzy sensation all over you. Immediately feeling that his words were lifting up your spirits. You didn’t know how he did it, but he always knew what to say in the most difficult moments even with his awkward phase.
“Thank you, Kazuya,” you said in gratitude.
“You don’t have to thank me. I believe in you and I’ll be there for you every step of the way. Even when you don’t believe in yourself.”
A single tear streams down your face. “Do you promise?” you asked, sticking out your pinky finger.
Miyuki wrapped his pinky finger around yours. “I promise.”
You didn’t know what the future had in store for you during your recovery process and you knew that Miyuki couldn’t promise that everything was going to be alright. But knowing that he was always going to be with you brought you the comfort and confidence you needed to face this challenge head-on.

Lunch was chaos. The headache-inducing chatter of your classmates was enough to make you avoid the cafeteria all together; finding comfort in the abode you called the school roof.
Overlooking the entirety of the school grounds and watching those that strolled by was a pastime of yours. You would lean against the brick railing that prohibited you from tumbling over, eyes following each person who walked the pathways.
You found comfort in the simplicity. The way every student that walked by acted without inhibition, acting their natural selves.
One person chased a fallen leaf that was caught in the wind; another holding hands with her boyfriend, idly chatting with a grin plastered on her face. It was them in their own world, and you were the omniscient viewer.
It was nice to think solitude was your friend at times like this; that this rooftop was your domain alone to people-watch and eat your lunch in peace. You humored the idea— until the sound of a door swinging open totally stomped it out.
Now Miyuki Kazuya’s pastime was terrorizing you. His intrusion during lunch was one of the many ways he went about it, interrupting the silence you enjoyed with that cocky laugh and a snarky comment.
“What a surprise seeing you here,” Miyuki hummed while he took the place by your side. A lopsided smirk curled on his lips.
The boy had his white sleeves rolled to his elbows as he mimicked you, leaning against the railing casually. One of his hands tugged at the maroon tie around his neck and loosened the material until he felt like he could breath again.
The tilt of tone that hung in his words forced you to look him in the eye— his deep, amber gaze making you feel small as you retorted.
“Very funny, Miyuki. As if you don’t come up here and bother me every day,” your brows furrowed and lips pursed.
What was once your secret haven was now forsaken to the wrath of the second-year.
You couldn’t even remember when he first started sneaking out onto the rooftop; you simply remembered having the place to yourself one day, then Miyuki being there the next. You remembered there being silence once, then nonstop talking in your ear next.
“Do you really have nothing better to do?” you grumbled.
Miyuki stared past his glasses and down at you. The black rimmed specs always failed to hide the way his gaze shone with a gleam you couldn’t quite place, the dancing of gold and brown flecks in his pupils.
He leaned his side closer towards your own, tipping his chin down to be at your eye level, “Not really.”
You found it impossible to look away from him, to break the eye contact. Why were you frozen? You looked like a fool staring at him with wide eyes and parted lips, air resisting to enter your lungs.
Your hands balled into fists, still resting atop the cement, scraping slightly as you turned towards the inconvenience.
“You surely have something to do. Why don’t you eat with your teammates? Aren’t you in the same class as Kuramochi?”
Miyuki remained silent for a moment, merely staring down at you with a relaxed air to him— a more genuine smile growing on his face. Before he spoke, he turned away from you and bent down, hands digging through the backpack that he had tossed at his feet earlier.
Returning back to his normal stance, he revealed what was hidden away in his bag. Two strawberry milk cartons.
Miyuki placed one of them on the railing in front of you, and the other in front of him. The act was so simple, yet so sincere.
“Kuramochi is too loud, my team is too loud,” he answered in a subdued tone. His hands fiddled with the top of the carton, bending the thick layer.
His mood hadn’t totally changed, per se, it seemed to have shifted. The cheeky grin and confident aura moved to a tender smile and comfortable sense.
Only now did you observe the specimen in front of you. The sun caught on his glasses—the gentle breeze played with his thick, ruffled hair. Tanned skin from baseball tried to hide the mild blush that dusted his cheeks.
You snapped out of your musing to grab the milk he gave you. “So you assumed I like strawberry?” you playfully nudged his shoulder with your own.
Maybe you shouldn’t be too hard on Miyuki. Yes, his presence often made you bite your tongue, but he also made little efforts that had you second-guessing your opinion on him.
“I saw you drinking this the other day,” he opened his own drink, tearing the miniature straw’s packaging.
Miyuki Kazuya, the ever observant, calculated catcher he was, of course saw you drinking this.
Perhaps lunches wouldn’t be that terrible with the second-year at your side. Sharing your rooftop wouldn’t be too difficult.
You rolled your eyes as you felt your face heat up, opening the milk as well.
“You’re such a stalker.”
A smooth laugh escaped his lips. His shoulders shook with amusement and leaned down to prod your own as you had done before.
“Maybe.”

To Light a Fire
For @love-and-lore's winter event! The theme of this collab is "hearth". A hearth is traditionally associated with home, and often used to symbolize family, fertility, love and warmth. As soon as I read it, I knew I had to do something for my current obsession. Mostly fluffy but is a little suggestive at times.
Word Count: 1.3k
Ship: Takigawa Chris Yuu x Me
Laughter fills what was a quiet home as Chris and I walk through the door. The evening had been nothing short of entertaining, having joined Chris and his juniors for their annual Christmas Eve party at Miyuki’s.
We laughed as we recapped some of the best memories of the night. From how well Miyuki can cook to Sawamura almost getting run out of Miyuki’s kitchen to Kuramochi’s willingness to be “security” and fight Sawamura at any moment.
“I have to say you have some pretty interesting juniors. Were they always like this?” I ask with a giggle. Chris laughs, slipping off his coat and shoes, “Some things never change.”
As I go to take off my boots, Chris’s sturdy frame stands to the side of my body to keep me steady despite my best efforts to balance on one foot. I give him a gentle smile as thanks before we move from the foyer to the living room to sit on the sofa, soft jazz music filling the space as our entrance music.
The atmosphere is light and cozy, picture frames of us and our important moments on the walls. In front of us is a tv above a fireplace with our Christmas tree to the right. I snuggle up to him and he puts his arm around me, simply enjoying each other’s company.
“Maybe we could host next year and give poor Miyuki a break. We do have the space after all now that we have a house.” I suggest absentmindedly, nearly purring at Chris’s thumb gently rubbing my arm.
He laughs, “Knowing Miyuki, he wouldn’t say it out loud but I do think he enjoys hosting. It’s just like old times you know? But I will ask him, my love.” I lean in and kiss his cheek softly before resting my head on his shoulder, enjoying his warmth when he perks up.
“Oh, I almost forgot.” He says before tapping my arm, signaling me to move.
“What did you forget? Why are you leaving me? I was cozy.” I playfully groan, causing him to roll his eyes in return. He glides across the room and leans down to plug in the tree lights. Suddenly, the room is all aglow and my eyes light up. With the evening curtains of the sky drawn, the lights seemed even brighter than before. It easily illuminated the soft brown eyes of my love and it felt so special.
“I hope that my reason is acceptable in your sight.” Chris jokes and I laugh, “I’ll allow it, just this once.” He settles back into the sofa and I take back my spot, pressed into his side.
“We did a really good job on this tree. I’m proud of us even thought I had to climb on you to put the star up there.” I giggle at the memory of Chris hoisting me up by my waist as I lean over his face.
“I mean I didn’t mind the view.” He adds coyly with a grin and my mouth drops open in fake shock.
“Oh really now? Is this truly who you are Chris? What would your juniors say if they could see you now?” I gently smack his shoulder and tease him.
But like always, he’s quick with his comeback, “Well Sawamura did say we would make good parents.” I laugh as I quickly recall how Sawamura was filled with spirit saying how happy he was for us and he couldn’t wait to be an uncle so he could repay his Chris-senpai. He, of course, plans to be the best uncle, which of course caused yet another fight.
“He did say that.” I giggle. Without missing a beat, Chris says, “And I’m inclined to agree with him.”
I stopped laughing and look at him, almost in disbelief. Chris had a small smile on his lips but in his eyes, I could see he was serious. The room blurred around me and the only thing I could focus on was him. Suddenly, thoughts flashed before my eyes of children running around the house and celebrating holidays in our home as a family. It could be a reality.
A gentle calling of my name brings back the finer details of the room. My eyes meet his as he offers me a soft apology for his sudden declaration. I shake my head and take his hand.
“No, I think we would be great parents.” I agree with him, eyes a little teary with excitement. Refusing to let the tears fall, I rest my head on his shoulder and feel a soft kiss pressed to the top of my head.
“How many kids would you want?” I ask and he replies quickly, “As many as you would be willing to give us. I was thinking two maybe three?”
“Me too. There would never be a dull moment.” I say with a soft sigh, before looking at the mantle of our fireplace where our stockings were hung up. My heart pounds as I look at it with fresh eyes, noticing there was more space for at least another two stockings.
“You know, since we’re talking about things we want, would you mind starting a fire? I think it would be very romantic and festive, don’t you?” My voice drops a little as I make my request. Chris easily catches the change in tone and the gleam in my eyes and grins, “I have a feeling it’s more than that, am I right sweetheart?” I sigh dramatically as he teases me, but I easily give in to him.
“I’ve always wanted to make love near a fireplace.” I answer wistfully. His grin solidifies, “Now that can be arranged, but none of our gifts are under the tree yet so you’ll have to bring your gifts first.”
“What? Why do I have to go first?” I ask, clearly caught off guard but Chris sees through me as he laughs, “Because you will peak at the gifts if I go first, just like last time.”
“I did not! I was looking for my ribbon and it rolled near the bag!” I claim as he nods along to my likely story. “Of course, sweetheart, of course. My offer still stands.”
“Fine but no peaking!” I claim in defeat. He laughs and goes in the guest room while I make a few trips back and forth through the hall, positioning the gifts under the tree.
After a bit of time, I tell him I’m done before grabbing a few things and heading to the bathroom. Not long after, I smell the smoke of a beginning fire. Opening the door, the sounds of light crackles fill the air. The warmth surrounds my body, made easy by my mid-thigh silk robe.
Chris calls for me gently and I walk into our living room to see the fire going and lights dimmed low. The tree was shining brightly but the main attraction was the smile on Chris’s face. Sitting on some soft blankets, he reached out his hand to me as I came to sit next to him taking in the scenery.
“The tree looks beautiful; we did a good job.” I whisper in awe.
“Yes, perfect for our first Christmas in this house.” He agrees, while wrapping his right around me. My left hand grabs his own, rings clinking as they twinkle with the fire’s light. The depth of his voice sends shivers up my spine as he asks, “Are you comfortable, my love? I think it might be a little too warm for your robe.”
“I think you’re right, Chris. Why don’t you do the honors?” I whisper in his ear, before kissing him softly. Our lips conveying the excitement and anticipation for a holiday made for love. Losing ourselves in the kiss, it’s only a matter of time before the sash around my waist is loosened and we continue into the night with love and each other.

Silence Speaks Volumes
Fandom: Daiya no Ace

(REQUESTED)
A/N: hi anon, I hope you don’t mind me using she/her pronouns! it wasn’t specified in the request, so I went ahead with the usual. if it really needs to be changed, i could edit it! also, this kind of became self-indulgent, sorry, but i hope you would like it too!
“What are you still doing over there?” she hears him from further inside the room, interrupting her thoughts. Apparently, Ryousuke had settled back on the floor as soon as he let her in. “Come over here already.”
She merely nods before making her way to the light dinner set-up - a plate of sandwiches and two tumblers.
“I got us some hot tea from downstairs,” he says as he switches on the TV. “What movies did you bring?”
She sets down two bags of chips she had brought with her, before bringing out three DVDs from her sling bag. “I chose horror, mystery, and... a romance drama.”
“Let’s go with mystery. That’s our common ground.”
She laughs as she puts the disc in the DVD player. “Yeah, I don’t feel like watching horror with you around.”
Ryousuke flips the light switch off, leaving only the light from the TV to illuminate the room.“Really?” He sits back beside her again, but a little bit closer this time to whisper in her ear, “I could comfort you when you get scared~”
“But after laughing at me.”
“You don’t know that.” He pats the space next to him.
"I would never." She laughs as she sits closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder.
Ryousuke then wraps an arm around her shoulders, guiding them both to lean back on the side of his bed.
After the first scene, she speaks up, "Ryou... are you sure your roommates would be out long?"
"They know you'd be here, so they have enough common sense to give us a few hours. Besides," he leans forward to kiss the tip of her nose, "even if they barge back in here, it's not like we're doing anything naughty, aren't we? We're just watching movies."
She pushes his face away with a giggle. "Yeah, so focus on that."
The movie is just an excuse. They both know they only wanted to spend more time with each other. Now that Nationals are over, the third-year members have graduated from the team to focus more on college entrance exams or job applications. As if post-graduation isn't scary enough, preparing for it makes them see each other less and less.
Aside from that, she knows Ryousuke is still sad about the loss. They haven’t really sat down and talked about it, mostly because Ryousuke doesn’t want to. It’s in his nature to keep things to himself, to keep the mood light. But holding all of that in is unhealthy.
“Is there something on my face?” he suddenly asks.
She shakes her head ‘no,’ realizing she had been staring up at him for a while now. “Just thinking of stuff to talk about.”
“Aren’t we watching a movie?”
She whines, burying her face in his neck. She then feels his hand on her shoulder reach up and massage the back of her head. “I feel like there’s so much to say. But now that I’m with you again, I can’t find the right words.”
“Sometimes, we don’t really need words,” he says before kissing the top of her head. “This is fine.”
“Are you sure?” She looks up at him.
He chuckles. “There are better ways to let me know what you want to say, you know.” He tucks her hair behind her ear.
"In that case..." She curls up against him as she wraps her arms around his waist.
Ryousuke does not hear her sob, but feels his shirt getting wet. He already knows what she wants to talk about, but it is difficult for him to open up just like that. It's easier if he wants to help someone else out, but he can't bring himself to ask for help.
But just holding her here brings relieved tears to his own eyes as he feels his burdens being lifted just by the warmth they share. Maybe he isn't so alone, maybe he doesn't have to keep everything to himself. The gratefulness that overcomes him is too much for him to express with words, so he could only hug her tighter.
Saturday nights have become colder now that the third-years have moved out of their rooms with the juniors. They spend it studying, walking around aimlessly in the streets, or if they’re braver, taking their bats and practicing a few swings. And Ryousuke is not an exception.
But maybe, on this night, he has found something to help him hope again.

Hello! Recently, i read one of your miyuki fanfiction tittle' More than a Shadow'. It's totally interesting with beautiful storyline and i like it so much!! If you don' t mind i have request can you make a story about all Seido team including managers go to beach outside summer tournament to spend their free time. During at the time, there are random guys try to hit on Azusa at the beach and I was wondering what miyuki reaction. I hope you accept my request and doing well in your life as well as continuing this story.
P.S. Sorry if my request sounds cringey to you and out of the topic.🙇🙏
Hi Mimioshine! I hope all is well with you. I’m so glad that you like ‘More Than a Shadow!’ Thanks for the request. It was not cringey at all. It was fun to write and it gave me the chance to include a beach scene like a quintessential shoujo anime lol. My apologies for the delay. I hope you enjoy what I came up with. Happy New Year!
“Bakamura, don’t go running off so you don’t get lost!” Azusa yelled after the southpaw started running toward the ocean along with Furuya and Kominato. The team decided to go to the beach on their day off before the summer tournament started as a way to relax and decompress from the grueling summer training.
“She’s right!” Isaski exclaimed in agreement. “We don’t want to be looking for three first years on our one day off.”
Miyuki snickered. “That also goes for you, Azu-chan,” he teased the manager.
Azusa glared at him. “I. Don’t. Get. Lost.”
“Then why do we always find you with those three?” The elder Kominato brother pointed out.
The manager clenched her fists. “Just because they get lost doesn’t mean that I do.”
The third years along with Miyuki and Kuramochi just laughed at her explanation while the manager grumbled away.
“Don’t worry Azu-chan, I’ll make sure to keep an eye on you,” the catcher said in a faux reassuring tone before leaving her behind.
Azusa pouted while crossing her arms across her chest. That was not what she had in mind when Miyuki said that he would keep an eye on her. She had been excited to go to the beach not only because she thought it was a great chance for everyone to do something fun outside of baseball. But also because she wanted to show off her new bathing suit to Miyuki. She looked down at her white bikini that she was showcasing by letting her yellow hoodie unzipped in disappointment. She was hoping that he would notice it and compliment her on it. But that seemed like a pipe dream now. It seems like she was not impressive enough for him.
“Narumiya-san!” she heard Sachiko call out her name. “Stop moping and come here to help us cut the watermelon!”
“H-hai!” Azusa said before running towards Sachiko who was with the rest of the managers sitting on a big blue blanket underneath an umbrella of the same color. She quickly sat down to help them out in silence. She figured that it would distract her from the pang of disappointment that she was feeling. She should be okay if she focused on that along with the noises from the waves crashing, the chatter from the entire team who were either swimming or burying each other in the sand, or the seagulls above her.
“Your swimsuit is very cute, Azusa-san,” Haruno kindly complimented her.
Azusa gave her a small smile before slicing her piece of watermelon “Thanks Haruno. Your swimsuit is very cute as well,” she replied, nodding at her plaid pink and white bikini.
“Yes, it looks very good on you!” Takako exclaimed. “Is it new?”
“Not that new,” the blonde nonchalantly. “Your swimsuit is very pretty too. Red is definitely your color!” Azusa complimented, pointing at Takako’s red bikini.
Takako smiled back. “Thanks!”
“So are we not going to mention how weird it is that she is quiet and nice today?” Sachiko pointed out teasingly.
Azusa narrowed her eyes at her senpai. “We were having a nice supportive girl moment, Sachiko-senpai,” she deadpanned.
Yui giggled. “That was actually a mature comment from you, Narumiya-san.”
“Should we play a game after we’re done slicing the watermelon?” Haruno proposed, trying to dissipate the tension.
“That’s a good idea!” Takako exclaimed.
“What should we play?” Sachiko asked, forgetting about picking on Azusa.
“I forgot I brought a beach ball!” Haruno said, grabbing her bag from behind her where she had the multicolor beach ball.
“You’re the best Haruno!” Yui smiled. “Should we invite some of the boys?”
“Absolutely not!” Sachiko shook her head vehemently. “Most of them suck when it comes to playing anything other than baseball.”
Takako giggled. “Sachiko is right. We don’t want to have any injured players right in the middle of the summer tournament.”
“That would be the worst nightmare,” Azusa pointed out, getting her long blonde hair out of her ponytail to readjust it. “Let’s just let them be,” she added, sparing a glance towards at them. It seemed like Sawamura and Furuya were up to something dumb again and Miyuki was laughing at them as usual.
After reaching their decision, they put all the sliced watermelon on sealed tupperware for those who wanted to eat and made their way to an empty space on the beach. They divided into two teams: Sachiko, Yui, and Takako Vs. Haruno and Azusa. At first, Takako wanted to join the first year girls, saying that it wasn’t fair to gang up on them. But Azusa refused. She felt as if they were pitied and she hated that. Fifteen minutes later, she sorta regretted it because as sweet as Haruno was, she was the most clumsy girl ever. How did she allow her pride to make her forget about that ? At this rate, there was no way that she was going to win against her senpai.
“Seems like you two need some help there?” Azusa heard an unfamiliar masculine voice say.
“Huh?” she turned around and was met with a pair of bright green eyes that belonged to a handsome guy with short sandy brown hair. He looked as he worked out since she could tell that he had a toned physique underneath his blue pullover and his matching blue swimming trunks. He shot her a cute boyish smile which unnerve her a bit. “W-what do you want?” the blonde manager asked. “And who are you?” she also added with skepticism.
“Azusa-san, that’s not nice,” Haruno lightly chastised.
“Please forgive her manners,” Takako said to the stranger in an apologetic tone.
The stranger shook his head with a small smile. “No, it’s okay,” he said. “I apologize. I can see why I made her uncomfortable,” the handsome stranger added. “My name is Takeru and I just noticed that her team seems to be at a disadvantage,” Takeru introduced himself while glancing at Azusa.
Azusa took a small step back. “And why would you think that?” she narrowed her eyes at Takeru. “Do you think we’re losing or something?” she added in annoyance.
Takeru chuckled. “No, it’s not that,” he said amused. “Your team has two people while their team has three. That is all.”
“Oh,” the manager blushed in embarrassment.
“And you want to help them, like a knight in white shining armor, Takeru-kun?” Sachiko asked in a teasing tone.
“I would love to if you guys would have me,” Takeru replied.
“But it wouldn’t be fair if their team has a guy in it and not ours,” Yui fake pouted.
“Yui!” Takako chastised.
“Yeah, we would finally have an even number of players,” Azusa pointed out, oblivious.
Takeru ignored that comment. “I have another friend who might be interested in playing,” he pointed out towards the far left where another guy was sitting under a green umbrella. He waved at his friend so he could come over.
“Now, that’s more interesting,” Sachiko said with a smirk as the other friend was coming over. He had shaggy dirty blonde hair and a similarly toned physique.
‘Why would Sachiko-senpai care so much about having an even number of players? Maybe she is more competitive than she lets on!,’ Azusa thought but decided not to dwell too much on that. She had a volleyball game to win after all.
A while later, the match was becoming more intense as they were now even. Not the ideal situation as Azusa would hope but it was certainly better than losing. While Haruno’s volleyball skills have not improved, Takeru and his friend Kei made it up two-fold. She had to admit that they were a good team.
“Take this!” she exclaimed, throwing the ball a little too hard. So hard that it went all the way towards another group of people.
“Good one!” Kei exclaimed, high-fiving Azusa.
Yui groaned. “We have to go get it quick,” she said, running back.
Sachiko grinned. “Yes, we need to go get the ball quick,” she said in agreement and took Takako’s hand. “You should come too Takako-senpai,” Sachiko added, without letting Takako say anything in response.
Azusa blinked in confusion. “Do all three of them need to go at the same time?”
Takeru and Kei chuckled in response.
Haruno gasped. “Maybe they all left to come up with a strategy against us!”
“You’re absolutely right, Haruno! Azusa widened her eyes in disbelief. “I can’t believe I didn’t think of that sooner.”
“Well, whatever that is I’m sure we can beat it,” Takeru said confidently while Azusa nodded.
“In the meanwhile, we should recharge. What about getting a drink?” Kei suggested.
“That’s a great idea!” Haruno said. “We have some water bottles. Want some?” she offered.
“Sure!” both guys said in unison.
“I can come to help you,” Kei offered.
“Oh thank you!” Haruno smiled at him. “Azusa-san, I’m going to be right back,” she said, turning to the blonde manager. With that, she left for where they are staying along with Kei.
“You and your friends are very fun,” Takeru said with a small smile.
Azusa chuckled awkwardly. “You think so?” she replied. “I always think that we’re too much at times. Maybe because of what we do.”
“What do you mean?” Takeru asked in curiosity.
“We’re managers,” Azusa replied in a matter of fact tone. “So we’re always busy and on the go.”
“So you’re sports team manager? That’s really cool.”
Azusa blushed, averting her gaze. “You think so? Thanks.”
“Are you kidding me? I’d be the luckiest guy in the planet if I had a manager as pretty as you,” he said smoothly.
Azusa blinked several times. She then laughed nervously. “I… Uh… I don’t know about that,” she said awkwardly. “You’re too nice,” the manager tried to sound somewhat normal. Why was he saying these things and what was she supposed to say back?
‘Haruno please save me.’
“Azusa!” she heard someone call out her name. But instead of Haruno’s voice, it turned out to be a masculine voice. An overly familiar masculine voice for that matter.
She turned around, somewhat grateful for the distraction, to meet Miyuki who was approaching her and Takeru.
“Hi, Miyuki-senpai,” she greeted him with a small wave but then stopped when she noticed his demeanor. His cheeky smile from earlier was long gone and now he looked rather serious with the playfulness gone from his eyes.
She noticed that he glanced over at Takeru and then back at her. “Are you okay?” he asked, staring into her blue eyes.
Azusa knitted her eyebrows in confusion. “Why are you asking me that?”
“Umemoto-san said that some guys were bothering you so I came to check on you,” Miyuki replied, sparing a glance (or more like a glare) towards Takeru.
“Bothering me?” Azusa exclaimed incredulously.
‘What’s wrong with Sachiko-senpai? Making stuff up like that.’
“Yes, that’s what she said,” Miyuki reiterated. “Is this guy bothering you? You were looking very uncomfortable.”
“What? No!” she exclaimed, trying to hide the blush spreading across her cheeks. Why did he have to know her body language so well?
“I’m sorry, but who are you?” Takeru asked, also confused by the situation.
“That’s the same question that I had for you,” Miyuki replied curtly.
‘Now, what’s wrong with him? He’s not aggressive like this,’ the manager thought to herself.
Takeru took a step back and then glanced at Azusa. “Are you with him by any chance?”
“Well… Yes. We came to the beach together along with them,” she pointed towards Sachiko, Takako, and Yui. Along with the rest of the team that was frolicking in the water but Azusa wasn’t sure if that part was also clear.
Takerui took a step back while he shook his head. “I’m sorry man, I didn’t know that she was already taken. No worries, I’m leaving,” he added, putting up his arms in the air as if he signaling that he is giving up. He turned on his heel and walked in the opposite direction.
“Taken?” Azusa whispered to herself.
Miyuki let out a deep exhale. “At least, that’s taken care of.”
“But now it seems like he thinks that we’re dating,” the manager pointed out, turning towards the catcher.
Miyuki shrugged. “So?” he replied nonchalantly.
“So…I… Uh-”
“Do you care?” he asked, narrowing his brown eyes at her.
Azusa immediately shook her head. “No, of course not.”
“I don’t care either,” Miyuki said. “Now, let’s go. You can’t be all alone looking like that.”
Azusa glared at him. “Looking like what? What’s wrong with how I’m dressed?”
Miyuki gave her a glance over. “Like this,” he motioned at her bikini.
“What’s wrong with my bikini?” she asked again, this time around in a more timid tone. Did she really look that bad?
The catcher ran his fingers through his brown locks. “Nothing is wrong with you,” he replied in a sheepish tone and then averted his gaze. “You… You…,” he stammered, still not facing her. “You look cute in your bikini, okay? And that means that a lot of guys are all over you. So it’s best if you stick with me… For safety purposes of course.”
Azusa’s heart skipped a beat when she heard utter the words “cute.” She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“You think I look cute?” she asked giddily.
Miyuki grumbled as a small blush made it’s way across his face. “I already said that you did,” he said, crossing his arms across his chest.
“I just wanted to make sure,” she giggled.
“Well, now you did. So let’s go,” he motioned for her to follow him.
“We’re leaving for my safety… Ne?’
Miyuki let out an exasperated sigh as he narrowed his eyes at her. “You sure like making me repeat myself this afternoon,” he said in a half- teasing tone.
“I just wanted to make sure,” she teased back.
“Of course,” he deadpanned.
“And Miyuki-senpai?”
“Yes?”
“You wouldn’t happen to be jealous… Right?” Azusa asked in a cheeky tone.
Miyuki promptly turned around.
“We’re leaving!”

Valentine promts 4 with miyuki please
“Roses are expensive so I got you this instead” with Miyuki 😊 I hope you like it, if not just yell at me and I can do better 😭
Miyuki is a romantic, nobody could deny that. In college he was always the one to bring you a coffee when you were studying, or bring food and a movie when you were tired. He left constant kisses on your forehead and would buy any little thing that reminded him of you (you keep everything, it makes you both happy).
The first time he bought you roses though he was surprised to see a frown on your face. “Do you not like them babe?” He would ask, worried that he had missed some important information about your likes and dislikes. “No, I love roses, but they are too expensive, especially for something that doesn’t last that long, no matter how well you take care of them” you tried to stress to him that he didn’t need to spend any money on you at all but to please not buy roses.
He tried to follow your wishes, understanding what you meant but there were always time when he just wanted to buy you flowers, specifically roses. Your graduation, the day you agreed to move in with him, when you got a promotion at work. He always came up with something that you loved (you have so many stuffed animals) and you would always fuss at him for spending the money, he would always joke “at least it’s not roses” with his smile taking most of his face.
One night you were making dinner and you heard Miyuki come through the door and rush up the stairs with out a single greeting. Worried to see if he was sick or upset you turned off the stove and followed him, only to see him rushing to hide something in one of his drawers. “Miyuki?” You said in a soft voice causing him to jump and close the drawer on his hand with a yelp. “Babe! You scared me” he was clutching his hand, no real damage since it didn’t slam hard just some pain but he still watched you come over to him with concern on your face. “Honey, you need to be more careful you have a game coming up, what if you hurt it?” He couldn’t help but smile and kiss your forehead, relieved that you didn’t seem concerned with what he was doing in the drawer in the first place. “Come on, lets ice it before it swells” you say softly leading him downstairs. He always loved how soft you could be, how you were acting now just made it certain that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you.
As the week went on his kept pestering you about what you wanted to do for Valentine’s Day, and you would always say “takeout and a movie at home” with the gentlest of smiles that made his heart melt and stopped him from getting frustrated. He wanted to do something extravagant, but he knew that just wasn’t you, you preferred simple. “So, I can cover our room in roses?”he asked with a smirk not expecting for you to jump on him, sending him backwards on the couch “Do that and I’ll leave” you say smiling as he wraps his arms around your waist “Nah, you wouldn’t leave me, then who would you have to annoy you?” He finished as he started tickling you, causing you to topple over and off the couch bringing him down with you “I love you, Miyuki” you said between laughs, “I love you too” he said into your hair.
Everything was set, he was just waiting for you. God why was he so nervous, it’s just you, the person he loves, the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with, he can do this. You wouldn’t have stayed with him this long if you didn’t want this too. Come on Miyuki, you need to do this.
Miyuki’s thoughts were running wild, he didn’t think you would say no but still, this is the moment he’s been waiting for. He’s been wanting this for almost a year. Hearing the door open and realizing he was out of time just waited. “Miyuki!” You called out, his car was here so you knew he was too. Moving room to room until you hit your bedroom you see him standing in the middle of the room with several candles lit. “Miyuki? Why are you so dressed up? We are just doing takeout right? Come on let’s go look at the menus-“ “Y/N” you stopped and looked back at him “I know you say roses are too expensive, so I got you something else instead” as he got down on his knee, seeing the tears start in your eyes he adds “and this will hopefully last forever.”

31- “You haven’t lost me.” 55- ”I’m not going anywhere.” [part one]
The ride to the hospital was stifling and tense. Sawamura hadn’t spoken much until they arrived, and even then it was only when absolutely needed. Miyuki stayed by his side as much as he was allowed to, until the police showed with Kataoka to ask him about what had happened. Miyuki’s ears were full of white noise as Sawamura stumbled through the events that had brought them up to this point, and he wished he could just rewind the day and hold Sawamura’s hand all the way to the bathroom like a child. His fingernails dug into the soft bits left on his palms until he felt a warmth across his shoulders and at his side. Looking up, he saw Sawamura pressed against him, his arm pulling him in close.
“I’m not going anywhere,” He told the pitcher, leaning forward to get a closer look at his tense expression. “You don’t wave to pin me down.”
Sawamura shook his head, pulling tight enough that Miyuki nearly flinched.
“Oy, Sawamura...” He turned, sliding his own arm around Sawamura and pulling him in. “What happened today is never going to happen again, do you understand me?”
Sawamura shuddered, leaning into Miyuki. It always hurt to hear silence when he was around the normally boisterous pitcher, and Miyuki couldn’t help but wonder just how shaken up he was beneath it all.
“I’m okay,” he finally said, startling the catcher.
“Hah?”
Sawamura looked up, the look on his face not one he was expecting. He looked much calmer than Miyuki had assumed he’d be. Sawamura’s free hand came up and Miyuki jumped as there were suddenly fingers treading through his hair.
“You look like a mess,” Sawamura mumbled. “Were you that worried?”
Miyuki looked down at him, gaping in shock. “Was I worried?”
Sawamura met his eye, and didn’t backtrack. “Miyuki Kazuya.”
Miyuki held his gaze for as long as he could before letting out a haggard sigh and leaning forward, clenching his eyes shut as his forehead hit Sawamura’s shoulder.
“You haven’t lost me, Miyuki-senpai,” Sawamura said. “So please don’t look so upset.”
“I’m going to be very upset for a while, Sawamura,” Miyuki said. “And nothing you can say will stop that.”
“Then… want to catch for me?”
Miyuki tilted his head slightly to send him an ‘are you serious?’ glare. Of course he was.
“You seemed pretty worried about my arm, and there’s no better way to make sure I’m in top shape!”
Miyuki flinched at the sudden volume, but it was also a relief to have an eardrum burst once more.
“I think maybe asking the doctor might just be a good way, too.”
Sawamura’s expression faltered as he scrambled for recovery. “What would they know! They’re doctors!”
Miyuki snickered, holding Sawamura tight for just a moment longer before pulling away from him. “Oy, you might not want them to hear you saying that...”
“Then, let’s go! Catch for me, Miyuki Kazuya!” Sawamura grabbed Miyuki’s jacket, hauling him up from the chair.
“Were you cleared by the doctor, Sawamura?” A startling voice asked from behind him.
Sawamura nearly left the ground as he spun around. “Coach!”
Kataoka motioned towards the door. “Let’s go back to campus. It’s getting late.”
Miyuki slid in beside Sawamura, an arm around his shoulders guiding him to follow the coach. “Looks like you’re going to have babysitters for a while, Sawamura.”
Sawamura blanched for a moment, stumbling on his feet.
“We can’t even trust you can go to the bathroom on your own, how can we ever let you be by yourself again?” He was only partially teasing, feeling like he really wouldn’t be able to leave him alone; especially if the police hadn’t dealt with his assailants just yet.
“We’ll hold a meeting tomorrow before breakfast to set up a schedule.” Kataoka decided.
“C-Coach! Wait, not you, too!”
Miyuki’s arm slipped from Sawamura’s shoulders as they reached the door, Rei waiting outside by a cab.
“We can get ‘if lost please return to Seidou’s baseball team’ shirts and everything,” Miyuki cackled, opening the backseat for Sawamura.
“Miyuki Kazuya! When did you start being such a bastard again! I knew your being nice was too good to be true!”
Miyuki snickered, ruffling Sawamura’s hair as he got in the car to make sure he didn’t hit his head on the roof. “Didn’t you know, Sawamura? I’m mean, very mean. I’ve never been nice.”
He slid in after Sawamura, making sure the boy had his seat-belt on right as he wailed about how mean he was.
“You can repay my earlier kindness by getting me a drink when we get back.”
“Miyuki, please stop agitating him until we get out of the car at least.” Rei pleaded.
Miyuki snickered, leaning back in his seat and watching the pouting boy next to him. A loud Sawamura was much more honest about his feelings, so a loud Sawamura he would make until he heard every thought he had swimming around in that head of his.
