i didn’t know if you wanted a scenario or hc, so hc
the three of you are basically super tired by the time you get home so after dinner and a nice relaxing bath/shower the three of you just hop onto bed and snuggle
you’re in the middle
ushijima is your big spoon and daichi is facing you
you all have your eyes closed but you’re rambling about midterms
“she told us it’d be 80 points multiple choice and then 20 points essay but she made it 50/50.”
“do you know how much of what we studied together came out in the exam? zero.”
if it’s been a hard day the two boys aren’t as clingy as usual, because tiredness, but if you do pull them closer to you they appreciate the gesture.
“i’m quitting school tomorrow. nope. no more midterms for me forever.”
but when one of you starts to rant about putting the wrong answers, which snowballs into worries about failing all of the midterms, the fear is quickly shushed.
ushijima likes to place a hand over the head of whoever is drowning in the self-doubt, and say, “it’s over, there’s no more use worrying about it.” pretty curt, but somehow, coming from him, it’s very comforting.
daichi embraces whoever is ranting and presses a kiss to their nose like. “there’s always another exam, or quiz to make up for it. and we’ll study better.”
the two boys make sure your mind is off the exams by the time the three of you fully prepare for sleep.
you all fall asleep with your hands linked together.

Who’s more dominant: Daichi, tbh; Ushijima has a natural “dominant” aura but he’s usually more going with the flow than actively acting like that (though when he wants to, he’s the most dominant yeah)
Who’s the cuddler: Ushijima, because Daichi is soft and so yeah, he gotta cuddle (not that Daichi is complaining)
Who’s the big spoon/little spoon: Ushijima’s the big spoon and at first it somehow disconcerted Daichi but even he can’t explain why
What’s their favorite non-sexual activity: Working out 💪 Daichi tries to follow Ushi on his morning runs (but he’s really not a morning person okay) and they usually work out together when they have the time
Who uses all the hot water: They both do ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) no really neither really takes too long in the shower, so maybe Daichi takes a bit longer especially in the morning because his body won’t respond properly but they don’t over do it
Most trivial thing they fight over: Where is the best place to take the dogs for a walk (because I hc they both have dogs)
Who does most of the cleaning: Ushijima does it on reflex, Daichi will clean when he sees something is really in need of a clean
What has a season pass on their dvr/Who controls the netflix queue: Daichi, but they don’t really watch movies
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Ushijima does it because Daichi would get angry over the phone if the person was like ‘yeah yeah i’ll come during the day’ (”I’m not gonna take a whole day off for the possibility of you coming over today, we need it fixed now, and i expect you to come now, please” vs “If you could come around 1pm it would be nice, we’ll be home at that time.”)
Who leaves their stuff around: Daichi, and that’s how Ushijima once found a uni book in a kitchen cupboard
Who remembers to buy the milk: Ushijima does, he has a list of groceries and he usually respect it to the letter (except sometimes, he buys one or two things that aren’t on the list because he knows Daichi might like it)
Who remembers anniversaries: Daichi does, though Ushijima has them noted down somewhere anyway
Who cooks normally: Daichi can’t cook to save his life, god bless Ushijima for feeding him amazing meals
How often do they fight: They... never fight? Like. How does one even have a fight with Ushijima, he’s a precious patoot
What do they do when they’re away from each other: Little texts here and there, and sometimes a call when they both know the other can answer
Nicknames for each other: Oikawa once told Ushijima that Daichi would love being called “Dai-chan” and so when Ushijima did it, Daichi choked on his drink bc “wait what” (Ushijima only calls him like that when they’re cuddling in bed now, and it makes Daichi all warm inside, he’s very in love) // Daichi ends up calling him Wakatoshi at some point (probably out of habit of hearing Tendou -and the other Shiratori guys- calling him that)
Who is more likely to pay for dinner: Ushijima does, but Daichi insists to pay often because if he didn’t, Ushijima would pay for literally everything, save that boy and his wallet
Who steals the covers at night: the dogs (not like they really need them anyway, Daichi is a walking furnace and their dogs are very warm too)
What would they get each other for gifts: Ushijima brings Daichi a lot of sweet food because Daichi has a liiiiiittle big sweet tooth // Daichi brings him a few plants because he knows Ushijima loves plants (and once Suga bought them a cactus)
Who kissed who first: Ushijima ~
Who made the first move: Ushijima went to Daichi one day (bc they ended up in the same university) and told him he found him really attractive and “may I kiss you” and needless to say Daichi’s brain froze for a moment (before he stuttered “s-sUre” while his friends laughed behind him) ((It’s Tendou who pushed Ushi to confess because they had been talking about that for a while already and he thought it’d be time Ushi go for it)

Who cusses more: Daichi ~
What would they do if the other one was hurt: Help the other as much as they can and try to relieve the pain somehow
Who is the dirty talker: Ushijima is an accidental dirty talker; meaning he’s very good at it but he doesn’t even mean it to be dirty talk/doesn’t try to make it dirty talk (Daichi can’t handle so much)
A head canon: As I said I hc them both to have dogs, and ofc, they have big dogs. The first thing they bonded about was their love for animals and especially for dogs, and they shared dog care tips and all
