now that my chameleon girl has got a hold of them, i feel like the twins' stars have more of a symbolic meaning than a physical one (which i suspected but you know, good to get confirmation-ish)

current theories are: it symbolizes how much they understand Ai OR how much they they act like Ai

i'm leaning more towards the acting like her, since clearly neither of them seem to get close to understanding her motivations (esp. Aqua lolololol) but they do represent (in part) the two sides of her

the cute and loving idol she wanted to be, full of love <3

the liar/manipulative person she saw herself as </3

ironically Aqua is way more kind than he thinks himself to be, he can't see it due to how overwhelmingly full of resentment he is...... which could paralell how Ai totally had the possibility of seeing her own real feelings before but didn't take the leap due to the overwhelming fear of it being false. which, ironically, only confirms how strong it was.
