Halo CQB Helmet progress so far!

My friend @itmedawn printed this helmet for me way back in September or so, and I finally have the time to work on it during break. I still have a lot of work to do, but I've done some sanding and priming for today :)

Then more sanding and priming and wet sanding. Then I can paint it. Then inserting foam, and then the visor!

I'm most likely going to be painting it red and black. Daisy-023 colors, but I might put my HRT # somewhere on it.....

What Spartans Remain?

Because I went down the Halopedia rabbit hole and I'm an obsessive nut, I've put together a list of all the Spartan-IIs, just to figure out who's alive, who's dead, who's missing, and the numbers which are unaccounted for

Additionally, Spartans-028 (Riz), 125 (Kai), and 134 (Vanak) do exist per 343's internal documentation, but as of yet have not appeared in the Prime timeline

therefore there are about 19 confirmed living Spartans, 24 confirmed dead, 7 possible dead, and 12 unknowns, for a total of 62 (or 65 counting the silvers), so there are at least 10-13 other Spartans we have not met, be they active, retired, washout, dead, or missing

Halo: Reloaded - Rank System

So this is a leaderboard that showcases where the Spartan-cadets are in the system. Kinda like the Project Freelancer leaderboard, but this rank-system was only seen and used during the training period of the Spartan-IIs; once they all became fully-fledged Spartans, Halsey did away with this. losing someone is one thing. losing someone that you don’t think you ever had is an entirely different matter entirely. but losing someone you never had, only to see them again two years deep into a war tearing the world apart? it’s the worst luck of the most terrible draw. and it’s the only lot that Ronald Speirs seemed to pull.

OR . . . in which Daisy Clarke sees Ronald Speirs again in Europe, after completely disappearing on him a year into his military training.

Spartan Sagas 2: Daisy-023

Name: Daisy-023

Gender: Female

Born: 2511

Died: Unknown date, sometimes between 2526 and 2551

Personality: Daisy is portrayed with a fiery temper, violent tendencies and a stubborn streak, as well as a slight disregard for the chain of command in tense situations.

Appearances: Daisy has appeared explicitly in two pieces of media - the Halo: Legends short ‘Homecoming’ and Halo: Silent Storm.

Biography: Daisy was born around 2511, and was selected as a candidate for the Spartan II program, an honour that saw her abducted in 2517 at six years old. She underwent the same training and augmentation as the other Spartans, but shortly after her augmentations, she and a group of other trainees held their trainers at gunpoint and escaped from the facility, at which point she travelled to Sargasso, her homeworld. Here she met the flash clone who'd been sent to replace her and almost killed her, with her conscience intervening before she could. Early in the war she participated in a boarding action over Netherop aboard the Covenant frigate ‘Radiant Arrow’, where an insurrectionist mole tried to get the Spartans killed, then joined Operation: SILENT STORM as a member of Joshua-029’s Gold Team, where she participated in battles against the Covenant at Seoba (where she and the other Spartans destroyed the downed ‘Starry Night’, the lead prowler of the Task Force, to prevent it from falling into enemy hands, and assisted an injured Naomi-010), Etalan (where she and the other members of Gold Team flew S-14 ‘Baselard’ fighters into the heart of a Covenant fleet and went EVA with nuclear ordnance to destroy a series of Covenant freighters) and Naraka (or Zhoist, by it's Covenant name). She was killed at an unknown date by a series of needler rounds during an ill-fated evacuation that also claimed the life of former Spartan candidate Ralph-103.

Fun fact about the Spartan 2s from Halo, the shortest recorded S2 was Daisy 023, who was 6'3 and possibly could have been taller had she not died in active duty at 15

023. an abandoned picnic in an empty field, flask still warm with coffee .

Diego looked at his boyfriend lovingly with a big smile. Little rainbows sparkled in his eyes to reflex his happiness, his freckles and tan skin glowing in the sun. Hongjoong and him have planned a little picnic together as a date. Diego made some food while Joong got drinks. One of these said drinks being his famous, delicious coffee, it being held inside of a flask.

They tuck everything inside of a cute little basket Diego's ma had. It having daisies interwined into the baskets cracks. They walked out to a field, hand in hand as they made small talk, laughing and just enjoying each other's company.

As they set up their picnic, they shared soft sweet kisses, giggles inbetween along with picking a couple flowers leaving them for later to make flower crowns with. Once the blanket was set they laid down, Diego on Joong's chest. Said man ran his fingers through his hair, looking up at the sky in peace. Happy bliss filling the two of them.

Today was scheduled for a warm and bright day. No rain clouds in the sky and made the perfect day for the two to be out together.

When they started getting hungry, they pulled out some mini sandwiches that Diego made, along with some left overs from the cafe and the flask of coffee. They each fed each other, making lighthearted conversation and talking about their week. Everything was good and they were going to start their flower crowns until thunder hit.

Diego looked up at the sky quickly with wide eyes. "It's not supposed to rain today." He muttered confused as he saw grey clouds start to fill the sky.

Then it started to pour.

Joong squeaked as he covered his head in surprise. Diego grumbled, complaining about the newbies messing around with the weather. As much as he likes the rain he was hoping for a nice picnic day with his boyfriend. He grabbed his boyfriends hand as they both ran out of the field and running back home, both of them walking there instead of driving. It was going to be a long slippery run but honestly it was better with the other there.

So they ran, laughing, hand in hand as they got drenched. Pausing from time to time to give each other a kiss or just to twirl around and be silly in their new found rain day their picnic completely abandomed.
