I’ve gotten a lot of new followers lately and I wanted to say hello. I usually just reblog lesbian history and some of my other areas of interest, but I’ve been thinking about posting some original writing and maybe some observations etc. I’ll answer questions too, if anyone wants to know about what it was like to be a lesbian kid/teen/college student in the 70s/80s/90s. Or about vaudeville and freak shows because I know a lot about that too.

Maybe I’ll even recommend my podcast 😂! Sometimes it has gay stuff, it’s always fascinating (to my sister and myself).

But thanks again for the follows, and if we’ve been following each other for a while then I thank you even more.

Concept art and early designs for Daisy/Tratnćica and her friend Violet from my short film, The magical girl.

Daisy's design is really fun to draw and even now, months after I'm finished with the animation, I still find myself doodling her on the side of my notebook. Her hair was also fun to animate because it emotes alongside her and makes every shot look more dynamic.

BONUS: hypothetical designs for their school uniforms. The conversation she has with Violet originally happened at school, but I think the magical girl graveyard is a much more interesting setting for that conversation and creates a much more impactful image. Also saves me the time of drawing a bunch of background characters lmao

One thing I know, though, is that their families are NOT going to let them live this down. Especially Misty's sisters. 'Cause what're siblings for? Hoo boy. 😅

Daisy was actually pretty fun to draw, especially her hair (if you can't tell). I didn't think too much and just did what I wanted. Maybe it came out too much like fur, but eh who cares (not me). 🤷‍♀️
