writing update, III. I holy ground, groundless faith
can’t believe it, the post to celebrate a hundred followers! i am so grateful to all the angels who follow and reblog and never forget to like my posts. it feels so surreal as I also reached 10k on the same day! for today’s *special* writing update, the chapter we will be focusing on is chapter ten. (insert beautiful title theme below that was made with all my love ♡)
Tumblr media
⤷ the meaning for the title theme of the chapter is to introduce the blind faith that Naomi has for her god, and the sense of fulfillment she feels with Asher at her side as she discovers the power that love gives her akin to a flower feeding off fresh water and blooming under sunlight. also side note, i try to keep my excerpts to a minimum without revealing too much details since it is a book that will be published later on this year. without further delay, i hope you enjoy the new excerpts!
✄ Excerpts:
Tumblr media
❂ *the scene above represents the delicacies that the main character often eats during her spare time...i absolutely love writing, describing, picturing food in my head and transforming it all into words. Naomi is also the baby of her family kin so she gets very spoiled!
Tumblr media
✵ *this scene was so sweet to write and i personally wanted to convey the mood and mindset that we often experience with someone really close to us, the playful and almost easy atmosphere that makes us laugh out loud. a memory that becomes fond over time and that will be remembered when one becomes old and forgetful.
☾ ☾ last excerpt! ^^ (felt very happy at how it came out)
Tumblr media
⤳ this last excerpt portrays the sensation of being completely starstruck by another, in love with their existence and every little detail that makes them human and a being of their own.
°°° mood board bonus;
Tumblr media
(it’s so pretty right?! i feel so proud of it and it feels so useful to have such a great mood board to look at whenever i’m writing/ also Asher and Naomi are so beautiful ahhh, my characters are my babies anyway sorry for rambling ;))
(END NOTE:
thank you all so much again for reaching a hundred followers! (also tagging my fave accounts recently that i love to browse before writing sessions: @alicewestwater @coffeeandcalligraphy @melinoeas @sarahkelsiwrites @guulabjamuns )

@mythonetwork’s event 3: favorite location ↪ a t l a n t i s
How on earth did it happen, I used to wonder that a whole city - arches, pillars, colonnades, not to mention vehicles and animals - had all one fine day gone under?
I mean, I said to myself, the world was small then. Surely a great city must have been missed?

moodboard request ⇢ @queeniegoldtsein asked: hecate
As a goddess expected to avert harmful or destructive spirits from the house or city over which she stood guard and to protect the individual as she or he passed through dangerous liminal places, Hecate would naturally become known as a goddess who could also refuse to avert the demons, or even drive them on against unfortunate individuals.

“Go, Persephone, to your mother, the one with the dark robe.            Have a kindly disposition and thûmos in your breast.            Do not be too upset, excessively so.            I will not be an unseemly husband to you, in the company of the immortals.            I am the brother of Zeus the Father. If you are here,            you will be queen of everything that lives and moves about,            and you will have the greatest tîmai in the company of the immortals.            Those who violate dikê– will get punishment for all days to come            —those who do not supplicate your menos with sacrifice,            performing the rituals in a reverent way, executing perfectly the offerings that are due.” - the myth of Persephone
