16.2.19 Saturday morning #sketch. 30-40mins . . Went through a lot of my images i stockpiled over time as i always want to save things as reference. I realized almost all of the images of asian women are extremely overexposed. Ive been drawing from bad reference that doesnt give me the right understanding of value. 15.2.19 Just simple #formstudy . . Ideally it would be nice to keep my gallery ‘pretty’ but recently i have been forcing myself to continue with basics. If my foundation is weak, then it will eventually crash, somewhere down the line and i will start using things as a crutch. To hide whatever flaws i have in my foundation. Being a self study artist i have to figure out what to learn, what order, and how to apply it, along with with so many other things. I also have to train myself to stop wandering around in different medias. After my last digital portrait of the greyscale study a lot of things hit me at once, it was a very eye opening thing. I critiqued myself a lot. I understood that i need to get back to basics. That led me to the realization that i have to study fine arts.
