Current Household
Tobias Kealoha and Violet Dailey-high school sweethearts (sorta), in couple's therapy to try to avoid another "strained" romance dynamic, constantly emotionally and physically cheat on each other cuz they honestly both get bored, currently pregnant with baby #2 because they were nicest to each other when Violet was pregnant last time (don't do this kids), have a son together name Rowan, just bought their first home in San Sequoia
Tobias-Spellcaster, floats from job to job trying to find his place in the world, kind of emotionally unavailable, supportive of whoever he's with
Violet-literally one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, but has the hardest time settling down in love (there are simply too many sims in the world), the best mama even though she never planned to be a mom, trying so hard to focus on Tobias and their relationship
Rowan-planned to try to help fix his parent's relationship (it didn't work, but they both adore him so it's okay), sunny infant, slow to gain milestones

Jack Williamson
Former music industry professional, now author and psychotherapist, Jack Williamson has had an extensive career and works with some of the biggest household names for the last 20 years. After completing his degree in music business, Jack was lucky enough to get an internship in 2001 with a publicist who worked for Mariah Carey and George Micheal which gave the exposure to work at MTV, BMG and EMI. However, through his days of working for these companies - and going into management - he had to change paths multiple times due to being made redundant or being fired. Jack says “95% of managers end up being fired”. In 2015, Jack tragically lost his brother to suicide which changed his path once again and made him completely re-evaluate what his career meant to him. By 2018, Jack had fully transitioned into the work he does now which is providing private care to artists and supporting artists on tour who need to offload because “the industry is fucked”.
Jack touches on a range of advice and wisdom on mental health, both from a musician standpoint but also from a human perspective. A particularly interesting section of his talk was going into the 5 different types of imposter syndrome. I was familiar with what imposter syndrome was, but not necessarily the different types. These consisted of the gifted child, perfectionist, superhuman, expert and soloist. Which I think sums up every musician as I can think of many who fall under one of these categories and I can see myself in one of them. It's so easy to compare yourself or to hold yourself to an impossible standard and learning how to understand and accept it is so important.
Even musicians such as Billie Eilish who performed at Glastonbury, despite having millions of followers and supporters. “I have to prove it to myself too. I often feel like I don’t deserve to be here right now doing this show and on this stage”. (Hannah Dailey, 2022).
Jack says his own imposter syndrome is the expert:
“I'm sitting here today, my imposter syndrome is like, no one's talking, no one's really asking questions like, they must think I’m a fucking imposter. Why the fuck am I here?”
But as Jack goes on to say, you must ground yourself and pace your thoughts, you don’t have to be the expert, give your knowledge and trust that people will take value in this. It's so common amongst everyone in every profession, “62% of all people in the workplace. And in the creative industries that figure is much higher, somewhere around 87%”. (Musicians Union, 2021).
Ultimately, you need to be aware of what kind of person you are, how you deal with conflict and how you overcome personal or professional obstacles in your life. And the way that Jack can break situations and people down is enriching both as a musician and as a person trying to navigate everyday life. Willamson's talk a wealth of knowledge, self-reflection and inspiration and I hope I’m able to take on board his wisdom for the future.

Introduction to the family
Standing behind - Bobby
Cat - Jack
Sitting left to right:
Wolfgang
Adam
Ollie
Cara
Dog - Eli
Ok first English is not my first language and I have dyslexia so please excuse my very obvious spelling mistakes.
When I first started this family I had just gotten the High School years pack so I made the Johnson family (real original I know). The family consists of mom Cara, dad Adam and there teen son Bobby and the cat Jack that's an Ocicat. (also they live in Copperdale)
Backstory for this is that Adam and Cara were highschool sweethearts and of course got pregnant at sixteen. When I start playing Bobby is a teenager and Cara and Adam are young adults.
So in this family I really wanted to focus on all the individual sims, because usually I have a family with six kids because who doesn't love chaos.
Cara - It was kinda boring to just have three sims in a household and have the same routine every day so of course she got pregnant again just because of chaos. She had a job in the beginning but the goddamn midlife crisis made it so she wasn't happy so she quit her job and became an artist. But made more money then with an actual job so yeah she's a stay at home mom now that just makes paintings all day and sell them for 300% markup at the garages sail wall thing.
Adam - His job is in the military, and he is currently a lieutenant colonel. I kinda love getting all the medals and that's my only goal with him.
Bobby - So i went to highschool maybe three times his entire highschool career. It got boring fast. He graduated with honors and is now living in San Myshuno with his bf and highschool sweetheart Wolfgang Munch and their dog Eli.
Ollie - She was born to cause chaos and that she didn't really do but it was more busy at least. She was a good baby and infant even tho when she became a toddler she was giving chucky core. But she's my little creative queen and has kinda good grades, but she's an overall happy child.
I also accidentally named the kids Johnson-Dailey because I somehow hallucinated that the mom was named Cara Dailey but apparently she never did and I should stop playing sims at 3 am.
So Wolfgang and Bobby are living their sweet life. They live in a little apartment in San Myshuno in the Fashion district. Wolfgang is a chef and Bobby is currently studying in Britechester university in the History program. And of course he has straight As (so far).
So I'm going to continue with Bobby and Wolfgang until Bobby has graduated because Sims are incapable of actually going to school and doing things right so when that's done im gonna switch back to his parents and focus on little Ollie.
Also the only good thing about high school years are the objects and clutter and the social media thing because u can basically cheat all the relationships.
Well that's it so far i will try to update as i go ;)

Here are all my households in the game. First there’s Erick Dailey, I just got him a new apartment in San Myshuno, fashion district. Unfortunately it came with no furnishings and Erick didn’t know he’d have to start from scratch or he wouldn’t have left all his things back at the house he shared with his cousin Veer. Veer lives alone now in the Oasis Springs house he grew up in with his father and step-mother Tiana, who was Erick’s aunt.
In Brindleton Bay, Uncle Roberto is the sole sibling left to take care of his mother’s estate. He’s let some of his nephews, (Federico and Wayne) and a niece (Denise) move in and help keep up the place.
Debra lives in Newcrest with her 6 youngest and is set to have another child on the way. DeBorah is the oldest in the household and will live there until at least one of the other kids ages up to teen. Lincoln was the 50th child in the challenge to be born. Will is a red headed fire cracker for his mom to manage. Nicholas is the first child to not get a last name. Marlene is the second, I hope there’s another daughter so the next generation can have a last name. Bradford is the newest addition to the family and is waiting for a new younger sibling.
Out in Willow Creek, Cortney lives with her cousin Breanna. Recently, Breanna got married and adopted a son Adan, with her wife, Christina. It’s soon going to be time for Cortney to find a place of her own. I’ll have to play her and get her a chance to save some money.
Lastly, the family next door is Arlene and Hawea and their son Darryl, the silly toddler. They’re happily building a life and I will need to play this household to expand for another bedroom, and maybe more kids for Arlene.

Delta Dailey for @gothaliens‘ Judith Ward
[Self-assured | Ambitious | Good]
Two short years ago Dianna Dailey was a household name as the promising model who started her career as a young teen before suddenly ending her career on her eighteenth birthday with a viral tweet.
I appreciate all that you have done to support me the past few years but it’s time for me to close this chapter and stop being an incomplete version of myself. I love you all and we’ll see each other someday in the future.
On their nineteenth birthday there was a new shorter tweet accompanied by a photo sporting much shorter hair and a new style.
Told ya we’d be seeing each other again, hope you missed me. -Delta
Delta worked hard for over a year and they’ve finally overcome the criticism from both fans and haters alike saying that their change was just for publicity.
The only thing people are left wondering now is why Delta wants to be on The Bachelorette. Is it to find love or do they want a leg up in their career?
20 years old
Non-binary (assigned female at birth)
They/Them pronouns
Style is definitely more androgynous than gender-fluid
Lives in Del Sol Valley
Is currently a B-lister
Knew they didn’t feel comfortable with the expectations of what it means to be “female” since they were 16 but just kept with it since their career was in full swing
Is a good person as a whole but also does what needs to be done to get ahead in the industry
Likes drinking tea and eating fancy salads
More of a wine drinker than a bear drinker
Hobbies include dancing poorly and sunbathing
I hope you like this babe! Good luck and have fun with the BC dear!

Welcome (back) to the Order of the Phoenix, Bella!
You have been accepted for the role of DAISY HOOKUM with the faceclaim change of Ana de Armas! We really enjoyed the discussion of Daisy’s journey into the Muggle world and how that has affected her! We also loved your relationship section and how you connected Daisy to the current characters in play! We are so excited to have you once again as part of this roleplay!
Please take a look at the new member checklist and send in your account within 24 hours! Thank you for joining the fight against Voldemort!
OUT OF CHARACTER:
NAME: Hi y’all, it’s me, Bella. I missed you guys! she/hers/her.
AGE: 23.
TIMEZONE: PST.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Right now, especially because I’m home all of the time, I have basically all the time in the world to do replies. When quarantine was over,
ANYTHING ELSE: Nothing I can think of! I’m happy to hopefully be back. :)
CHARACTER DETAILS:
NAME: Daisy Hookum.
AGE: 24 (April 3, 1958)
GENDER, PRONOUNS, and SEXUALITY: Cis-female, she/hers/her, & demi-sexual. Of course, Daisy doesn’t really know this fact about herself and it is potentially the only part of herself that she is afraid of talking about. When her Hogwarts classmates would talk about attractiveness, she would put on a tight smile and try not to lose interest. Try to feel as though she understood that fiery feeling in her stomach. She’s only ever felt it once, after falling deeply in like with a muggle while out on her journey. But, to this day, she tries not to associate with people who only want to talk about how hot so and so is on the Quidditch team. It scares her, feeling different. She fights for those who are, and yet she’s scared of being different too.
BLOOD STATUS: Half-blood.
HOUSE ALUMNI: Slytherin.
ANY CHANGES: If Ana de Armas would be alright, I’d love to use her for Daisy!
CHARACTER BACKGROUND:
PERSONALITY:
+ fearless: A natural born leader, Daisy has never had trouble taking charge and charging into any situation. She knows what is right and always follows that instinct. No one, not even Lord Voldemort himself, could stop her from at least trying to achieve her goals. Some may call her fearlessness careless, but she believes it’s her best quality. To her, if she doesn’t fight for someone, then who will? While it’s a lot to hold on her shoulders, people who are close to Daisy always know that she will stick up for them, no matter what.
+ enthusiastic: Daisy has no problem finding the joy even in the most mundane of times. No matter what the subject, Daisy can find something exciting. While she doesn’t have very many deep friendships, it is the main reason people are so comfortable around her. She loves to make people smile, even if it’s just for a short period of time. And, of course, she is even more deeply enthusiastic about the causes she cares about. Plus, Muggle fantasy books. Blimey, does she love them.
+ generous: Daisy has always found it easy to give instead of take. Her favorite part about holidays was giving gifts; her favorite part of her week during Summertime was working at her father’s restaurant during the hardest of times. She will always lend a helping hand, wherever she can, even if it means sacrificing her own personal happiness.
- aggressive: While Daisy is passionate, sometimes that passion boils into something ugly. Unable to stop herself, she will often find herself asserting her opinions on other people and forcing them into facts. There are many times when this fact has gotten her into trouble, and while she hasn’t found herself in any horrible situations yet, she knows it’s only a matter of time. Especially in the middle of a war.
- stubborn: Daisy does not back down, feet planted firmly into the ground as if she were a one thousand year old tree. If she believes in someone or something, there’s no changing her mind. Similarly, if she dislikes someone or something, you can not make her budge. There’s no grey with Daisy, only rights and wrongs, and you can’t convince her that there might be any other color in between.
- perfectionist: One of Daisy’s biggest problems, one that even aggravates even her, is that she isn’t satisfied unless she’s created something perfect. It’s a habit she wishes she could break, but one that informs almost every decision she makes. She’s relentless in her pursuit of making sure her projects come out perfectly; and if they don’t, well, Daisy doesn’t quite know how to take it.
BRIEF OVERVIEW OF FAMILY:
Daisy has always considered herself one of the luckier ones. She grew up in a household that knew the importance of allowing their daughter her freedom. They never told her that she shouldn’t; they encouraged Daisy to walk outside of their footsteps; they allowed to ask as many questions as her little mouth could possibly get out (and she had a lot of questions). Of course, this behavior only made Daisy want to be like her parents even more. They were a family of believers. A family who knew kindness as if it were their oldest family friend. Daisy watched as her parents, a witch who was part of the Muggle liaison office, and a wizard who owned a Cuban wizarding restaurant during the day, took up the fight. Daisy grew up in a world where a late night meant spending extra time at her father’s restaurant, serving witches and wizards who couldn’t afford a good meal otherwise. She grew up in a world where early mornings meant traveling to Nobby Leach’ rallies with her mother, listening to speeches about the importance of acceptance.
Daisy never once knew what it meant to think of someone as less than. In fact, she grew up in a world where that kind of thinking just didn’t exist. When Hogwarts taught her otherwise, and she saw just what her parents were truly fighting against, the fire in her bones wouldn’t stop her. To this day, her parents are more than proud of her for what she’s done. They helped her with her letters; helped her write speeches that she would give to anyone who would listen in the halls of Hogwarts (sometimes to the disdain of Slughorn himself). They were the ones who helped her find Muggle family members who she could stay with while on her journey to discover what it was like to be a Muggle. While they fought, just like any other family, Daisy would always thank her parents for allowing her the freedom to find, and then be, herself.
OCCUPATION:
If activist could be considered an occupation, then Daisy would be first in line. Of course, at this point, she knows that she can’t just be an activist. The lectures help, as she takes donations, and occasionally she writes anonymous articles for the Dailey Prophet that they actually buy (Daisy tried putting her name on them, and they all were returned with a solid, red no stamp). Luckily, she has enough saved up from her time living with Muggles (due to a lucky circumstance, she became the manager of a big department store in London) to at least remain above water for the time being.
ROLE WITHIN THE ORDER/THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ORDER:
Right now, since Daisy just came back to the Order, she hopes to be apart the Dissendium Task Force. Marlene has worked wonders with the force, spreading hope where the world seemed bleak. Daisy hopes to be apart of Marlene’s world. If they can show people that the Order is doing good work, that surely would change people’s minds wouldn’t it?
And that’s where the other part of her brain fights back. She wants to be apart of the Order, needs to be if not just because her ideas line up with them so similarly. But the fighting terrifies her. Or, maybe it really angers her. While she wants to do whatever it takes to beat the Death Eaters, Daisy also didn’t realize how the need to fight had gone so far. There’s nothing else they can do, and she recognizes that, but at the same time she wishes someone had been there to calm the storm before it had even started.
SURVIVAL:
Afraid of putting her parents in anymore danger then they already put themselves in, Daisy no longer lives at home. She found the smallest flat she possibly could, threw her things inside, and spends most of her time at the McKinnon Farm. She finds herself most helpful there, and believes the most in what Marlene is doing. They’re actually helping people, instead of hurting them, and it most closely resembles her own point of view. While she still is able to fight for people publicly, Daisy doesn’t know how she’ll survive once she can’t. For now, she’s been trying her best to keep her mental health in as best of a place as she can, in case the world as she knows it comes tumbling down.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- amelia bones: Daisy could write a novel about Amelia Bones. She’s her best friend, the one person on the planet who she believes understands her. While they weren’t in as frequent of communication during her journey, Amelia was the one person she still sent owls to about her experiences. There are times where she’s not entirely sure if Amelia knows how much she cares. However, she hopes that their friendship is strong enough for Amelia to see that she thinks of her as family.
- edgar bones: Edgar is the other half to Amelia’s whole, but one that she feels completely guilty about facing. She hasn’t spoken to him since she’s left. For some reason, the letters only came to Amelia, and she told herself it would be easier if only one of them knew where she truly was hiding out. Now, coming back into the Order, she hopes that Edgar doesn’t hate her for ignoring him for months. She hopes that she hasn’t lost anyone she truly cares about in the midst of a war.
- yaxley branwen: God, does she wish she had the power to kick Yaxley out of the Order. To Daisy, adding Yaxley to their ranks is like hiring a Death Eater who swears they’re not one. There’s not much she can do, of course. The Longbottoms and Potter would never listen to her fears. But she doesn’t trust Branwen, not one bit, and thinks her motives for being here are all completely wrong.
- sirius black: Daisy admires Sirius like none other. People overlook his smarts, but she’s always seen them. From the time they were in school, she saw his passion, and saw how he often used it for good. Unlike James, who never truly had to make a choice in the war, who Daisy believed was forced into the situation, Sirius stood up against his whole family. There’s nothing more brave, in her opinion, and Daisy has always held the eldest Black son in high esteem.
- dorcas meadowes: She always has appreciated passion, but Dorcas takes passion too far. The disaster that she and her friends cause scares Daisy and not because it might expose the Order. In fact, she’s not opposed to that idea. What she is afraid of, is the world seeing the Order for what havoc Dorcas causes, rather than what good it does. Daisy doesn’t know how to get through to the younger woman, but she will try, even if Dorcas’ misunderstanding of the situation annoys her to absolutely no end.
- james potter: Daisy doesn’t hate James Potter. No, that’s much too strong of a word for it. But, there’s definitely a bit of animosity bubbling in her veins. She can’t discern exactly why. Maybe it’s because he barely acknowledges his privilege, or can’t seem to recognize that he might not be the right person for a job. She appreciates what he’s doing, but she oftentimes thinks he might give up the role to someone like Lily, who actually understands the gravity of the situation.
OOC EXPLORATION:
SHIPS/ANTI-SHIPS:
I really don’t have any ships for Daisy at this moment, and I always ship my characters with chemistry. If something were to happen, that would be great, especially because I think it would be something incredibly new for Daisy. She’s never been in a relationship, although she’s had small crushes (and one very large one that happened during her time with her Muggle family). However, I would never force anything and would love to just see how, if she does form a deep emotional connection with someone, a relationship would play out for Daisy while she’s in the middle of a war.
WHAT PRIVILEGES AND BIASES DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE?
I touched on this a bit while talking about her sexuality, but I think the biggest privilege Daisy has (one that she sometimes feels ashamed about), is that she has a steady ground. While she is a half-blood, Daisy has been able to live her life in a bubble. She’s been able to speak up against the horrors of the world because no one really thinks twice about a small girl with a loud voice who comes from a good family. She knows that she has privilege here. She knows she has a family who has already been deeply entrenched in politics and she very well knows that her parents aren’t muggleborn (although they do have Muggles in the family). There are times when she forgets this privilege, and goes too far on the behalf of those who maybe don’t want her to step over the line. Of course, she struggles with this privilege every day and hopes that one day she can check it. Until then, she’ll keep fighting. For her, it’s better to remain loud and help even in the slightest of ways than to stay quiet.
Daisy also hates war. She hates it with a burning, loathing passion. She believes that it’s necessary, at this point, but she genuinely will never be able to see why words weren’t enough. Why can’t you change people’s minds by speaking? Why will they only listen through force? These are questions that Daisy has never quite been able to understand. Frankly, she doesn’t know if she ever will completely understand the point of fighting. But, she will fight, even if she doesn’t like it. And this bias will likely lead to her getting angry about the choices her fellow Order members are making.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?
Well, I loved being here the first time with Lucinda, and coming back I wanted a fresh start. Daisy seemed like a very opposite character and one who I loved from the time y’all dropped the bio. I really think this role-play is not only inclusive, it’s just so incredibly fun. From the writers, to the plot-drops, to all the fun dice rolls, I really, truly miss it. Also, there’s so much freedom to explore your character and work with other players to form relationships. It’s just a great one, truly.
PLOT DROP IDEAS (OPTIONAL):
Maybe I’m evil, but eventually, I’d love to see what would happen if her mother or father were hurt in some kind of battle. We could definitely talk about that more later, but since her mother was on Nobby Leach’s campaign team, she would probably be at any of his rallies! So, if anything happened to him, something might have happened to her as well.
ANYTHING ELSE?: I don’t think so! I can’t wait to hopefully be back in this group with y’all.

Press Associate Daniah Dailley talks about interning with our organization. She said, “What’s it like being a Press associate intern at Unity for Equality? It's like working for a company where I can tell my work matters to them and they take just as much pride in my work as I do. It’s knowing that my work and writing may not make the biggest change in the world but it'll help at least one person a day at a time or it may in fact start a conversion that will be carried and become a household name. It's knowing that if I need help, backup or assistance then I am able to come to anyone in my department and they will lend an offering hand. I personally work for the press department and it is my favorite department because of how unlike other writing internships I've done. There are guidelines to follow but it still allows me the space to be open and frame my work how I want. It lets me be creative and try new ideas with my writing which is something that you can't always come around and it's a really special thing. Being in the press department allows you to be with other like-minded people who also come from a similar background with a love for writing and getting their words out there for others to read. One thing that I really like is that in my department we are assigned something to write but then we can also take up doing different writing tasks. Just being allowed to have the decision of doing something we would not normally do is also something I enjoy. . I have reasonable time to get my task done and I can freely ask for help or guidance without fear of being reprimanded or turned down. I’m sure that the people from my own department and others will agree that working and interning for Unity for Equality is something that will help you further develop your skills alongside allowing you to find some background in what you're interested in doing.”
We are very lucky to have Daniah Dailey on our team and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors!

New Post has been published on https://techcrunchapp.com/the-latest-emperors-new-year-greeting-cancelled-in-japan-national-news/
The Latest: Emperor's New Year greeting cancelled in Japan | National News
TOKYO — Japanese Emperor Naruhito and his family will not offer their New Year greetings from the palace balcony due to concerns over the country’s struggles with a resurgence of coronavirus infections.
The Imperial Household Agency said in a statement Friday that the annual greetings on Jan. 2 will not be held. The event traditionally draws tens of thousands of well-wishers to the palace garden. The greeting was last canceled in 1990 following the death of Naruhito’s grandfather.
Emperor Naruhito and his family have rarely made public appearances since the pandemic began, due to cancelation of palace events.
Experts have urged the government to reduce social and business activity before the holiday season because of a rise in serious coronavirus cases.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE VIRUS OUTBREAK:
— Americans risk traveling over Thanksgiving despite warnings
— Congress braces for Biden’s national coronavirus strategy
— Pandemic gave locals fleeting taste of a tourist-free Hawaii
— To avoid any traces of the coronavirus that might be lurking on surfaces, Americans have been wiping down groceries, wearing surgical gloves in public and leaving mail packages out for an extra day or two. But experts say the national fixation on scrubbing can sometimes be overkill.
— California has reported a record number of coronavirus cases on the eve of Thanksgiving. More than 18,000 COVID-19 infections were reported Wednesday.
— Though the first real snow has yet to fall across much of Europe, ski buffs are imagining with dread a bizarre scene: Skiing in Zermatt in Switzerland while lifts idle across the border in Italy’s Aosta valley.

HERE’S WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING:
SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea’s daily coronavirus tally is above 500 for a second straight day and the country’s prime minister is urging the public to stay at home this weekend to contain a viral resurgence.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said Friday that people should avoid social gatherings and refrain from going out in public this weekend. South Korea has seen a spike in fresh infections since it eased tough social distancing rules last month.
Authorities reported 569 newly confirmed infections over the past 24 hours, raising the country’s total to 32,887 for the pandemic, with 516 deaths. The 583 new cases reported Thursday was the first time that South Korea’s daily tally had exceeded 500 since March.
———
ST. LOUIS — More Missouri counties in the region around St. Louis are imposing mandates requiring the use of face masks as coronavirus cases and hospitalizations surge.
The move comes amid an unsuccessful campaign by health officials in that area to get Gov. Mike Parson to require masks statewide.
Jefferson County, just south of St. Louis, is the latest to adopt a mask mandate. Neighboring Franklin County passed a mask order last week, and Boone County adopted a similar requirement earlier this week. Also this week, St. Charles County officials ordered an 11 p.m. closing time for bars and restaurants.
On Thursday, state officials reported 4,471 new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 287,263. Since the pandemic started, 3,808 people have died of COVID-19.
———
NEW YORK — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says officials are working on a winter plan for the coronavirus that will add metrics for how the state designates virus hot zones.
On Thursday, Cuomo said the state will continue homing in on small geographic areas where virus cases are a particular problem to avoid imposing broad statewide restrictions, considering factors such as the hospitalization rate and the availability of ICU beds.
The new plan will add factors like the hospitalization rate and the availability of ICU beds to determine the location of the hot spots.
Cuomo said the winter plan will also look at ways to keep schools open, evaluating a safe positivity rate as well as determining the levels of testing needed at schools over the winter months. The plan will also outline how vaccines will be distributed as they become available.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa added 41 COVID-19 deaths Thursday as three more long-term care facilities reported virus outbreaks.
KCCI reports that the Iowa Department of Public Health reported 3,331 new positive COVID-19 cases as of 10 a.m. to bring the total to 222,278. The latest deaths raised the pandemic total to 2,312.
Long-term care facilities have been particularly hard hit, with cases in them accounting for 1,038 of the state’s 2,312 deaths. The three new facilities reporting outbreaks brings the total that have been hit to 152.
Health department data also shows fewer Iowa counties are reporting a 14-day positivity rate greater than 15%. There are now 88 counties with a rate at 15% or higher, down from 91 the day before. Schools in those counties can apply for a waiver to provide 100% distance instruction.

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The number of Kansas counties that require face coverings has risen sharply as fewer opted out of Gov. Laura Kelly’s latest mask mandate.
Sixty-two Kansas counties now have orders in place, with many coming as Kelly’s new statewide mask order went into effect Wednesday, according to a list compiled by the Kansas Association of Counties. The remaining 43 of the counties have opted out, but most are encouraging or recommending people wear masks, The Kansas City Star reports.
It’s a stark contrast to the response Kelly received to her first mask order in July, when the majority of counties opted out.
Meanwhile, a Lawrence hotel will serve as a shelter for individuals who need to quarantine or isolate after a positive COVID-19 test or exposure to a positive case, a press release from Douglas County and its Unified Command partners said.
The Kansas Division of Emergency Management is providing funding for shelter services at the Baymont Inn and Suites, the Lawrence Journal-World reports. It’s available to homeless individuals, those who cannot safely isolate or quarantine at home due to numerous people living in the same home and first responders and those who work in high-risk professions.

PIERRE, S.D. — One group of South Dakotans marked the Thanksgiving holiday by setting up a makeshift memorial near the state Capitol in Pierre for those who have died from COVID-19.
A group called Stop the Spread set up over 800 empty chairs on the Capitol grounds, representing each person who has died. The state has tallied 849 COVID-19 deaths, with 424 of those deaths coming in November.
That death count is the 41st highest in the country overall, but the 11th highest per capita, according to Johns Hopkins researchers.
While the state maintained one of the nation’s lowest death rates per capita throughout the summer and into the fall, a wave of cases has led to a skyrocketing rate of deaths in recent weeks.

MADRID — Spain’s infection and fatality figures in the resurgence of COVID-19 are continuing to edge down, with the country posting 12,289 new cases and 337 deaths.
The 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 of population, a recognized measure of the pandemic’s spread, also fell Thursday, to 325.
That is far off the Nov. 9 peak during the resurgence, when it stood at 529, and comes amid nationwide measures restricting movement and social gatherings.
The government admits the trend is favorable but wants to maintain caution until its target rate of 25 cases per 100,000 of population is reached.
Spain’s total number of new confirmed coronavirus cases stands at 1.6 million, with more than 44,000 deaths.

OTTAWA, Ontario — The chief medical adviser at Health Canada says Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate could be approved in Canada next month.
Dr. Supriya Sharma says the Health Canada review is most advanced for the vaccine being developed by Pfizer and BioNTech. She says Canada is reviewing it alongside the United States and Europe, and expects it will be approved here at the same time it is given emergency authorization in the U.S.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is meeting Dec. 10 to consider whether to give the go-ahead to Pfizer. Canada has a purchase deal to buy at least 20 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, with the first four million of those on track to arrive before the end of March.
Sharma says she expects the first shipments of the Pfizer vaccine in January but it is possible Canada could begin receiving the first doses before the end of the year.
———
SANDPOINT, Idaho — A county commissioner in northern Idaho has proposed defunding the local health district after the district instituted a mask mandate to slow the spread of the coronavirus as it surges in the area.
The Bonner County Dailey reports that Bonner County Commissioner Steven Bradshaw proposed the resolution this week to pull about $250,000 from the Panhandle Health District.
Commission Chairman Dan McDonald said the resolution will have to be placed on the agenda before it can be considered at next week’s meeting.
The health district ordered the mask mandate on Nov. 19.
Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler says his agency won’t enforce it.
———
BETHEL, Alaska — The Alaska Native Medical Center, which specializes in health care for Alaska Native and American Indian people in the state, says it is now over capacity with coronavirus patients.
The center says it had to open an alternate care site to handle overflow.
The hospital’s Acting Administrator Dr. Robert Onders said during a virtual town hall on Monday that the critical care unit is so flooded that it cannot hold all the hospital’s most seriously ill patients.
About 20% of coronavirus patients at the hospital require critical care. Onders said he expects the hospital’s situation to worsen.
The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region had the highest coronavirus case rate in the state as of Tuesday with about 273 cases per 100,000 people across the region on Tuesday.
———
RENO, Nev. — The coroner in Reno fears the recent explosion of coronavirus cases in Nevada could soon overtake not only the ability to treat the sick, but also store the dead.
COVID-19 is now spreading so fast statewide that someone is confirmed to have contracted it every minute and someone else is dying from it about every two hours.
The Reno-Sparks area has recorded 59 COVID-19 deaths the last 30 days — half of those this past week.
If the current trend continues, Washoe County Medical Examiner Laura Knight says the death rate could potentially double over the next two to three weeks, and double again by early January.
Statewide hospitalizations set another record Wednesday with 1,414 COVID-19 patients.
———
PARIS — France’s health minister says his country is readying to start administering COVID-19 vaccines in late December. But Olivier Veran is warning Thursday that people will still have to wear masks and keep their distance even after vaccines are widely available.
Veran said he can’t say yet whether mass vaccination “will allow us to get rid of this virus and totally return to our past lives,” because it’s not clear exactly how long protection from the eventual vaccines will last.
Noting broad skepticism in France about vaccine safety, he promised transparency about vaccination policy and to release plans soon on who will get the vaccine first and how.
President Emmanuel Macron has said France will not make COVID vaccines mandatory.
France leads Europe in numbers of confirmed virus infections, and has reported 50,618 virus-related deaths.
———
ROME — Italian health officials say the number of coronavirus patients both in intensive care and regular care beds has dropped. It’s an encouraging sign for Italy’s overtaxed hospitals during the surge in cases.
According to Health Ministry figures, 34,038 people in the country of more than 60 million were hospitalized in non-ICU beds Thursday, down 275 from Wednesday.
There were 3,846 ICU patients, two fewer than on the previous day.
On Thursday, 822 deaths were registered, raising the total to 52,850.
Although some 2,700 more swab tests were performed compared to the previous 24-hour period, the number of persons testing positive jumped by more than 3,000 Thursday.
With 29,003 new confirmed cases, Italy surpassed the 1.5 million mark in the pandemic Thursday, reaching 1,509,875.

Will Dailey (* Interviewed while at CSB- so so nerve wrecking but so excited to expose him as songwriter/musician to folk who may have never heard him and to those in the music biz as well)
(With doing notes took over 1.5 hours vs the actual 50 minute interview)
Found instrument
Songwriting came out of
Sick of doing others music/covers
Learning other’s ways
Behind wheel of car finding you don’t like the roads
Songwriting was like making your own road
Sexy violent malleable- songwriting/music
Helped him as a child through everything
Between two houses and it became his own household
Seen as anomaly-musician famous- vs. songwriting as a person
(Circle of Fifths)
Pressure of being “something”
Starting writing “terrible songs”
“Grownup” and peer excited
About something I thought of?
Good feedback and believed it
Key part- believed it
Peer excited and making something you created
Addicted to being around people being better than me
To pull you
Songwriting
To get better
Only going to get better by doing it (AH)
Always try to be the worst person in your band
To learn, to grow, to be pushed
(Same as surrounding yourself with people “smarter” than you)
Neil Young Crazy Horse changed as artists- with band
Parental advisory,
By 90’s pluralism at our fingertips
You can be whoever you are
Know rules and forms and having cohesive story
Or not having cohesive story
Like a dream
Hardcore Truth right in front of you
Music can be funny, Pop(py), Rock
Operate from that thing
(What I Love about Will, same as MF in many ways- she would agree “male version of (self)”
Never quite found/had genre
Never had niche, could hurt songwriters career
Never belonged anywhere
Too rock for indie crowd too pop for rock crowd too folk for pop crowd
Carve out own fan base
By getting in front of them
By striking one chord at a time
Jungle he grew up in, all that influence
Genre madness from 90s to now
Every song at fingertips
Algorisms send streaming service that find out something about you
“This algorism knows me so well” (smile)
From way back when or something new
Amazing, and daunting
And business of songwriting leaves him hopeless
Same time is exciting
If too many options will walk away and come back later(AH)
Overwhelming vs having structure or type of melody in mind (AH cont.)
When having a hit
How to do it again no idea how
Feel like never be able to have something that big again
Always potential to have that feeling
It is a craft and way of being
Learn every rule of songwriting
Then forget every rule of songwriting
Some songwriters only know 4 chords or one tuning
Being open to craft, learning rules
Talk to other artists, figure out what you can do
Ex. There is a verse, pre, chorus, verse, pre, chorus, bridge, verse, pre, chorus.
When you do verse chorus bridge, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus- then done.
When designing song what you want to do when pouring out of you
Be aware of the rule you are breaking because might be creating a hook
Or special pattern
Everything is pattern or pattern upset ( **Relatable to Sociology**)
Ex. Listeners singing along to altercation of pattern
Learn the rules to break them
Being able to predict what’s about to happen sometimes satisfying
Sometimes too much then can lose interest
Sometimes song shouldn’t have surprises
Sometimes should be a meditation
Also option of production making the surprises
Making those choices as artist and writer consciously
Or the emotion is making choice so definitely you don’t need to use your conscious decisions
Or know the rules you are breaking
Not just chasing knowledge- will leave you frustrated creator
Marry the two parts
Person inside who is in there that doesn’t know rules and it’s just pouring -marry that person with that person that knows the craft- effective to communicate and making the parts that are connected more effective (AH)
(Side note Loved hearing his story about title of album- really had impact/was felt moment live)
Obtuse
Writing while in studio, cleanse palette with
Doing things thought of as totally obtuse and irreverent
Would have haunted if not gotten them out- even not to share with others
Intent behind songwriting is most important part (Yes!!! Across the board in the world- all about intent)
Dogged as artist- using everything at fingertips
Always having intention behind his music
Always had in mind person who was going to freak out about it
Or who was going to totally connect to it
Someone imaginary, himself, someone he knows
Intention to reach them with this piece of music
Ideally in that someone else will hate it too
(Van, tour manager, VAN!! )
Kiss of death is someone says it’s nice or it’s good
You want reaction of wow whether love or hate
Have that fearless while writing (AH)
Not trying to please everyone trying to write for “that person” (AH)
Can write song in 5 minutes of 5 years
When 5 years see as so worth it (own Sistine chapel)
5 minute one like wth why didn’t I do with all of these
Can’t call on either one of them
Frustrated with unfinished- not the end of them (AH)
Just work at the end of the day
Pushing it
Ex. Gun n Roses- “Where do we go now” from “Sweet child of mine”
The rpducers thought song needing another part
Slash solo
Where do we go now came from that
Meaning where do we go in song
Came from him joking and producer saying yes keep doing that
Look up Led Zeppelin rehearsal demos
Robert Plant mumbling stairway to heaven
Coming up with gibberish while creating
If you don’t have a lot of songs with gibberish then not trying
Have to marry all these-
Cadence of vocal, delivery of vocal, words, melody having hook
Have to marry all these parts
Not all need to hit
Advice for someone who doesn’t do it for living but wants to carve out time.
Booking time, open mic- invite friend will
Also sets intention help carve song out energy wise
Give self deadline to write (ex. starting Monday need to finish by Friday)
A little bit of work each day it will get there
15 minutes a day to work on a song
While creating, more focus on lyrics
If in love and/or married to cadences or melody and trying to fit with words together
Can screw yourself bc a lot of work to do- tough- but can be really fun at same time
Plays “It already would have not worked out by now” (THIS line!!)
Songwriting and music way of being
Huge part of being human
It’s not (a) business
Business is what we’ve manufactured around it
Referred to esp by Americans is in those terms
Really robs us of a huge part of our humanity
Remember while writing, Songwriting really engaging in being human
Engaging in this universal communication technique that we have with music
Don’t let anyone take that from you while creating.
(Side note- random ish I love that his site uses the word “Shows” versus “Tour”
And also not so random this was such an amazing interview prob I think even fav thus far)
Thank you again and again Anne Heaton

Intro to PR #3: Colin Kaepernick JUST DO IT Nike Commercial
In September 2018 Nike released a campaign called “dream crazy”. The company Nike supports the ‘common denominator’, they have always encouraged and supported these people. Their campaigns often create controversy due to the strong views and beliefs people have. Nike use these stories to help create uplifting campaigns, their new “dream crazy” campaign, has caused lots of controversy, with thousands of people creating the #BoycottNike campaign, posting videos of themselves burning their Nike apparel in furiation. Nike is world renowned for motivating athletes and all people to “Just do it”, this means that you should go out and do it, you are the only person preventing yourself from going about this objective.
Nike are leading their campaign with controversial Ex NFL player Colin Kaepernick, Colin does the voice over for the advertisement. Colin Kaepernick is famous for refusing to stand during the American National Anthem before an NFL game, Colin was protesting police treatment of black people in America. In 2017 he filed a grievance report against the NFL as the league owners conspired to keep him out of the league because of the campaign he was running by kneeling during the national anthem. This campaign started outrage in America as people were saying he was disrespecting America and the people who serve the country.
Other sporting superstars including Lebron James, Eliud Kipchoge, Odell Beckham Jr and Serena Williams also played a role in Nikes “Dream Crazy” campaign. There was also Megan Blunk, Isaiah Bird, Charlie Jabaley, Alicua Woollcott who all have incredible stories and have succeeded despite the odds, as they follow their dreams to success.
The type of theory and type of public relations used was the cultivation theory. The cultivation theory looks at the relationship between television viewing and attitudes of the world. Not only did the “Dream Crazy” campaign promote Nike but also promotes and reinforces certain cultural values, ideals and principles.
Nike have implemented public relations tools by creating a video platform to reach TV stations and be played in front of large TV audiences. Nike has used the highest IQ sports stars in their campaign, there would be a scarce number of households that have not heard of Lebron James or Serena Williams.
I originally was shown this campaign in high school by my Business Management teacher, I later heard about the campaign over the internet as #BoycottNike was trending with videos of people burning their Nike apparel on all forms of social media.
Nike would be one of the smartest brands in the world, they have very strong business morals, and don’t shy away from being controversial. So they implement all publicity as good publicity. They are a popular and well known brand because of this. Although Nike lost many loyal fans in featuring Colin Kaepernick and using his voice for the commercial, Nike also gained a lot of customers. It has been recorded that “approximately 57% like the ad and 43% dislike it” (Forbes, 2018). I also vividly remember seeing a statistic in 2018 that said 21% of people would no longer purchase Nike products, it was than said that 29% of people would now purchase Nike over there competitors and 50% of people said the commercial would not impact any decisions they make whilst shopping for sports apparel. I say that this was certainly an effective campaign.

3. Why an Architect is important for beverly hills?
Skip Paul and Van Fletcher are strikingly knowledgeable in Beverly hills heritage of present-day engineering and plan. The couple is known in the Los Angeles and Bay Area plan networks for reestablishing houses by such innovator modelers as A. Quincy Jones and Gardner Dailey. They've sustained midcentury cultivates by Garrett Eckbo and Thomas Church back to life.
"There was unquestionably a suspicion that Skip and Van may need an advanced house since they had that history," Radziner says. Be that as it may, the house is more a riff on midcentury style than a duplicate, he notes, including, "It's tied in with being somewhat hotter, about relating back to the scene."
To be sure, the plan is in each sense a reaction to its area in Trousdale, a wash private network created in the after the war a very long time along a slant in the upper east corner of Beverly Hills. At the point when Paul and Fletcher purchased their property—basically for the terrific south-bound gully, city, and sea sees—it incorporated a 1960s Italianate abiding, which they lived in for quite a long while at the end of the day chose to tear down. Working in Trousdale, be that as it may, implied managing certain imperatives. The enclave forces stringent guidelines regarding destinations, and new living arrangements must hold fast to a 14-foot stature limit. A few purchasers abrade at those limitations and head somewhere else. Not Paul and Fletcher. The plans Marmol Radziner thought of fit the couple's desires so normally that they appear to be nearly predetermined. The four-room staying is tucked into the slope to augment open air space. While the road confronting side is, for the most part, strong (highlighting stacked-stone and concrete mortar dividers), the back is fixed with territories of sliding glass that exploit the perspectives and empower simple stream between the inside and the porches, pool, and grass. Tying down the high-ceilinged focal segment of the house are the engaging spaces—an incredible room, eating territory, and kitchen—which are flanked on one side by the ace suite and a closet nook, and on the other by a visitor room and an office wing.
All through the living arrangement, the accentuation is on hearty surfaces and wraps up. Chimneys in the extraordinary room and on the patios are set into dividers of thick record sandstone, roofs are clad in cedar boards, and the shade of the hand-troweled mortar dividers was made to coordinate that of the bark on the multi-trunk oak trees Marmol Radziner acquired to give the nursery some structure. In almost every room, Paul says, "you have an inclination that you are encompassed by regular materials."
Summoning Trousdale's midcentury vision of household extravagance, ivory terrazzo floors clear the engaging zones and proceed out onto the patios. "There is unquestionably a marvelousness in this house, yet it's quite unpretentious," says Boehm, whose furniture decisions consolidate current plan symbols, (for example, Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona seats) and uniquely crafted tables and seating characterized by clean lines and quieted earth tones. Adorning the home's peaceful refinement is a remarkable determination of after war canvases by Sam Francis, Robert Motherwell, and Richard Pousette-Dart.
The nursery, which highlights blue agave and Mexican plume grass, was painstakingly formed to mirror the character of the home. What's more, it's the point at which you stand apart by the pool and glance back at the house that its compositional reasonableness becomes most clear. The wide, level top of the structure's focal area broadens defensively over the two littler wings, bringing the spaces for engaging and the ones for a calm retreat into a nearby grasp.
Maybe the most grounded underwriting of the house is that it appears to have improved Paul and Fletcher—sequential renovators and roaming admirers of Beverly slopes design—and persuaded them that there is something to be said for waiting. "We will live in this house the remainder of our lives," Paul pronounces. "During this whole undertaking, we not even once said the word resale."

Accurate Listing
House selling and hunting couldn’t have been made easier with sites such as Zillow. Prospective buyers can quickly and easily learn about the available types of properties in different neighborhoods. However, the slow rate of updating information on available properties is a concern as a person can end up wasting time viewing properties that have come to a closed deal. It is easier to access real-time information from Dana Point Realtors on the available properties in the area.
Local Knowledge
When seeking an advantage in real estate hunting and selling, nothing comes close to a realtor with local knowledge as most newcomers are new to the neighborhoods. A good realtor has local knowledge and can quickly narrow down the search list to the best neighborhoods fitting the requirements of a person.
Negotiation Skills
When selling or hunting for a property, there is no better investment than a good realtor with great negotiation skills.
