The other night I found some family hcs I typed up forever ago so I guess I should post them here, they’re under the cut.
Mika's Parents -His dad's name is Takahiro and his mom's name is Akari. -His parents are very supportive of his dream, which is why they were okay with him going to Yumenosaki and even moving in with Shu so he wouldn’t have to travel so far everyday. He talks to them everyday through texting, though it’s mostly his mom since his dad can barely use his phone. -He was adopted when he was 8 years old. -Akari and Takahiro had tried for many years to have a child until tests confirmed that Akari was infertile. They were both heartbroken but decided to adopt since they really wanted a kid. -It took Mika a while to call them mom and dad instead of Mrs. and Mr. Kagehira. He also seemed unsure of how to act at his new home and would frequently ask if it was really okay for him to stay there.
Rei and Ritsu's Parents -Their mom's name is Miyo and their dad is Naito -They are very wealthy. They live in a huge, old-styled house. -They aren't the best parents but they aren't the worst either, just a tad bit neglectful. They let Rei stay out late and do as he pleases, which is pretty much every teenagers dream. They never gave Ritsu much attention, especially as he got older. -They had Rei as their heir, but they didn't really want Ritsu. Miyo actually wanted a girl and was disappointed that Ritsu was a boy.
Subaru's Parents -His dad's name is Ren and his mom's name is Yukiko. -When his dad was imprisoned, he and his mom were shunned by everyone, to the point they had to move to try and get away from it all. -Yukiko use to love idols just as much as Subaru did. But after Ren's death, she couldn't feel as excited about them anymore. -Yukiko had a hard time finding a job after Ren's death. Right now she works at convience store close to her house.
Arashi's Family -Arashi's dad is Hiroto, their mom is Tamako and their older brother is Mitsue. -Tamako is way more understanding about Arashi's gender identity than Arashi's father and brother. -Hiroto and Mitsue don't really accept Arashi as genderfluid. But since she accepts he/him pronouns it doesn't bother her too much. -Her mom is a model and the one who got Arashi into the modeling industry. -Tamako is also very supportive of Arashi's idol career and goes to see all of Knights' performances
Mao's Family -His dad's name is Asahi and his mom's name is Hana. His little sister's name is Yui. -His parents don't really care about him, they care more about his sister than him. Mao does his best to not let it bother him. -His little sister is very bratty and always gets what she wants. Despite that, Mao still cares about her, since they are family.
Kaoru's Family -His dad is named Seiichi, Mom is named Chika, brother is named Yukio and his sister is named Hotaru. -Like known in canon, Kaoru's mom is dead and his dad isn't the best. -His dad is a horrible parent to Kaoru. He treats Kaoru much differently than he treats Kaoru's siblings. -He's also very homophobic, which is why Kaoru is so adamant to claim he is straight. -Kaoru has a wonderful relationship with his sister, they get along really well. He and his brother are more on neutral terms.
Akatsuki's Parents -His mom's name is Maki. -Akatsuki (formerly known as Akira) was adopted when he was a young child by the Iride couple after their biological son Akatsuki died due to health complications. -His adoptive dad was supposedly killed in a laboratory accident. The accident left his mom more traumatized and unstable which leads to her sanity breaking down. -Akira's mom becomes unable to distinguish between him and her late son. She even went as far to suggest Akira gets a name change and he surprisingly agreed. -Although his mother is seemingly delusional and mentally unbalanced, Akatsuki loves his mother dearly and does not see her as a nuisance or burden. -Paka is Akatsuki's adoptive father. Akatsuki is unaware of this. (This comes from a theory I found, I really like the idea) *It is also hinted that Akatsuki is Himiko's older brother that was given up for adoption.
Hibiki's Parents -His mom's name is Utano and his dad's is Yuichi -Hibiki's parents were very negligent. They never paid attention to him as a kid and were always away at work. They expected Hibiki to have good grades though, but all the studying caused Hibiki to get bullied. -Daichi's parents were more of parents to him than his actual mom and dad. They would often let Hibiki stay at their house and would even make sure he was eating properly. -Hibiki didn't even care or wonder about his parents during the apocalypse. He was more willing to help Daichi and Io try to get home to see their parents rather than check on his parents.

The second part of the historic two-night Wrestle Kingdom 14 has come and gone, and... yeah, there’s a lot here. You know where you can watch it and how much to pay for it. Let’s get right to it.
- January 5, 2020, Tokyo Dome (NJPWWorld, FITE TV)
NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship Gauntlet Match: EVIL, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI [Los Ingobernables d. NEVER Openweight Championship: Hirooki Goto [CHAOS] d. KENTA [Bullet Club] © (GTR, 16:12) - KENTA fails his 3rd defense - Goto is the 28th champion
Jay White [Bullet Club] d. Kota Ibushi (Blade Runner, 24:58)
Chris Jericho [FREE] d. Hiroshi Tanahashi (Walls of Jericho, 22:24)
IWGP Heavyweight & IWGP Intercontinental Championships Double Gold Dash: Tetsuya Naito [Los Ingobernables] © d. Kazuchika Okada [CHAOS] © (Destino, 35:37) - Okada fails his 6th defense - Naito succeeds his 1st defense - Naito is the 70th IWGP Heavyweight Champion and first Double Champion
Sometimes, you do need to tranquilo, and we learned that lesson here tonight, with this main event. This wasn’t just Naito winning the Double Gold Dash that he talked about all of 2019, and was the main driver of. This wasn’t just Naito winning in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom, and beating Okada at the third time of asking at the Dome at that. This was the culmination of a six year long storyline with Naito, that started with a fan vote that saw his earned WK main event be taken from him; that saw him be rejected by the fans and fall into Los Ingobernables along with two other friends in CMLL who had also been rejected by the fans of their company. That saw Naito and Los Ingobernables de Japon become one of the hottest acts in all of wrestling, to the point of being the only NJPW wrestler to get pre-match chants his way. That saw him get his Dome main event, but then lost at the final hurdle. And now, two years after coming up short in G1 Climax, being saddled with a title belt that he despised, but now accepts, and a lot of online angst from his fans, Naito is an IWGP Heavyweight Champion at the Tokyo Dome, and the first to hold both title belts.
So naturally, KENTA attacks him during the LIJ Roll Call. Because NJPW booking has whomever loses to Goto at WK fail upwards. Which is a damn shame for Goto, because his match was really quite good, and he always delivers at Wrestle Kingdom. It’s the other 11 months out of the year that the booking makes him look like a chump. Just let Goto club mofos in 2020 and see how far he comes along. KENTA meanwhile helps remake Bullet Club as the top rudo faction in the company, along with Jay White. His match with Ibushi was GOOD... until the last five minutes or so. And then we get the needless ref bumps and fuck finishes and interference. Really took me out of the match honestly.
Jon Moxley retains the IWGP US Heavyweight title, meaning not only was Juice Robinson denied also being a Double Champion, but also that Moxley looks to be sticking around in some capacity. Also sticking around, is Minoru Suzuki, who despite all the talk (including from this blog, ahem) that he may be done in NJPW and would be coming to NOAH tonight, appeared after Moxley’s match, with a full “Kaze Ni Nare” entrance, and laid him right out. I am completely psyched for a Moxley v. Suzuki feud, and never been so glad to be wrong about something I’ve written about. This is the type of quality pairing the fans have been clamoring for.
SANADA is the only member of LIJ to not have any kind of title belt. Hmmm.
Jushin Thunder Liger’s final match was something to behold, and words cannot do justice the emotions behind this. Post-match, he gave a quick speech to the Tokyo Dome crowd, thanking them for 31 years of support. Backstage, the creator of the original Jushin Liger comic, Go Nagai, was there to greet him, as well as Daichi Hashimoto, current BJW wrestler, and the son of the late Shinya Hashimoto. In the meantime, the teamup between Hiromu and Ryu Lee (in his debut as Ryu Lee) didn’t last, and Hiromu offers the first challenge for the IWGP Juniorheavyweight title to Ryu Lee.
One interesting aspect of this was Ryu Lee came wearing the ROH World Television title, which got no mention on the Japanese commentary, and from all accounts one mention followed by awkward silence on the English. Contrast that with numerous mentions of AEW and their title belt, which Jericho wore to the match. However, Jericho still won, so there will be no challenge by Hiroshi Tanahashi for that title anytime soon. Jericho did say backstage (out of character?) that he wants AEW and NJPW to work together more in the future. So stay tuned for that.
All in all, a very satisfying two days. The attendance was listed for tonight as 30,063, a nearly 10,000 person drop, however this is still hardly a failure, given the sell-out last night. A very successful weekend for NJPW and the Tokyo Dome. I do have to wonder if Ibushi v. Naito would have popped the number more, however. We will discuss that on the Podcast soon, probably later this week.
Looking to the future, NJPW announced select major show dates, with some very interesting listings. First off, they will run both Dominion AND The New Beginning In Osaka at Osaka-jo Hall this year. Wrestling Dontaku is once again a two-day event.
Sakura Genesis returns to the NJPW calendar this year, on 3/31/2020 from Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan. The BOSJ Final will be on 6/6/2020 at Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium, rather than at Ryogoku like last year.
The biggest news here is G1 Climax 30 will be getting moved to the autumn rather than July/August this year. This is totally to do with the Olympics being in Tokyo this summer, and the lack of availability of arenas during that time. It will be interesting to see G1 so late in the year, however, with the Finals at Ryogoku on 10/16/2020 - 10/18/2020. The other upshot here is with this move, there does not appear to be a King Of Pro Wrestling event on the cards for this year, as the G1 30 Finals will take place during that usual time, unless they run it at another time this year. The Olympics are making things very interesting for NJPW.
I will list the shows soon in an Upcoming NJPW Events pot coming real soon.
Tomorrow is New Year Dash!!, which is a secret card, bar the retirement ceremony for Jushin Thunder Liger. I may not hold it together for that. We are also still awaiting the announcement for the cards for Fantasticamania, and The New Beginning, tho the latter will depend on New Year Dash!! to some extent.
Hope everyone enjoyed this Wrestle Kingdom weekend, and we move on to the future.

ONE World Championship belt
ONE Championship is set to return after going on hiatus due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. On June 26, 2020, the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong took to Facebook to announce that “ONE: No Surrender” will take place in Bangkok, Thailand on July 31, 2020.
A closed-door event with no live audience at the venue, “ONE: No Surrender” will be broadcast live all over the world. The fight card has yet to be announced.
Because of the travel restrictions brought about by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is expected that most of the ONE Championship athletes to be included in the “ONE: No Surrender” fight card are those who are currently in Thailand. It is good news for other fighters from countries who will be allowed to travel there in the next few days.
Thailand is about to welcome the first group group of foreigners amid the pandemic, including students, teachers, experts, skilled workers, business people, investors, people with Thai families and patients who agree to quarantine. Around 50,000 foreigners are likely to visit the country under the new rules and most of them will be required to accept 14-day quarantine after their arrival, the Bangkok Post quoted Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration spokesman Taweesilp Visanuyothin as saying.
In Europe, the Netherlands has lifted a travel ban to 12 European countries while Iceland, Belgium, France and Switzerland are opened their borders to all European and Schengen Area travelers, according to CNBC. In Asia, Japan is considering re-opening its borders to travelers from Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
Thailand’s borders could be opened to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan and certain cities in China, which deemed to have a low-risk for spreading the coronavirus, according to The Thaiger. Consider all these, here are 13 mixed martial arts matches that may be included in the “ONE: No Surrender” fight card:
Pieter Buist, Eduard Folayang (©ONE Championship)
Ev Ting, Amir Khan (©ONE Championship)
Lightweight: Pieter “The Archangel” Buist (Netherlands) vs Ev “E.T.” Ting (New Zealand / Malaysia)
Lightweight: Antonio “The Spartan” Caruso (Australia) vs Daichi Abe (Japan)
Featherweight: Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai (Thailand) vs Koyomi “Moushigo” Matsushima (Japan)
Bantamweight: Mark Fairtex “Tyson” Abelardo (New Zealand / Philippines) vs Daichi Takenaka (Japan)

Flyweight: Reece “Lightning” McLaren (Australia) vs Chan Rothana (Cambodia)
Strawweight: “Kru Rong” Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke (Thailand) vs Yosuke “The Ninja” Saruta (Japan)
Strawweight: Pongsiri “The Smiling Assassin” Mitsatit (Thailand) vs Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito (Japan)

5 Team Lakay fighters among top seeds in ONE ratings
#PHnews: 5 Team Lakay fighters among top seeds in ONE ratings
BAGUIO CITY – ONE Fighting Championship strawweight champion Joshua Pacio is the top fighter in his weight division, while four other fighters remain among the top mix martial arts fighters but former champion Eduard Folayang is nowhere in the list.
ONE’s latest ranking released this week show Pacio as the only top player in his weight division from Team Lakay.
Folayang, Geje Eustaquio, Honorio Banario as well as Kevin Belingon as top athletes in lightweight, flyweight, featherweight and bantamweight divisions are no longer on the list.
Belingon, a former bantamweight king, remains to be the top challenger in the weight division ruled by long-time champion and rival Bibiano Fernandes, who defeated him in their last two fights that cost him the crown.
Behind Belingon are Shoko Sato, Yusup Saadulaevm Shuya Kamikubo, and Daichi Takenaka.
Pacio is the top strawweight athlete, thanks to two successful title defense after losing the belt last year.
Behind him are former champions Yosuke Saruta, Yoshitaka Naito, Olympic gold medalist for wushu Rene Catalan, former champion Alex Silva and the fast-rising and fellow Team Lakay member Lito Adiwang.
Catalan and Silva were the last two opponents of Pacio whom he beat to retain the belt which he wrested back from Saruta on April 12 last year.
It was a rematch after losing the belt to the same guy on January 19 last year.
Pacio completed Team Lakay’s four-weight sweep in ONE on September 22, 2018, by beating then-champion Yoshitaka Naito to join Belingon, Eustaquio, and Folayang.
Flyweight king Adriano Moraes leads Grand Prix winner Demetrius Johnson, with Danny Kingad of Team Lakay as the second seed.
Kingad lost to the Mighty Mite Johnson in the Grand Prix semi-finals.
Former champion Kairat Akhmetov is the third seed, followed by Yuya Wakamatsu and Reece McClaren, the Fil-Aussie nicknamed Lightning.
Former champion Eustaquio failed to join the elite six.
Martin Nguyen remains the top featherweight player as the champion, who once carried the lightweight belt after beating Folayang.
The second to third seeds are Koyomi Matsushima, Than Le, Tetsuya Yamada, and Garry Tonon.
Out of the list is inaugural ONE feather champion Banario, who ended his four-game losing streak after beating Shannon Wiratchai in the first closed-door fight last February 28 in Singapore, which was also the last staged ONE event.
While seeded first in the featherweight division, Christian Lee reigns supreme in the lightweight division after wresting the title from legend and former three-time champion Shinya Aoki, who is now the fifth seed.
In between are Iuri Lapicus, Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev, Pieter Buist, and Timofey Nastyukhin.
Folayang is out of the list after falling to Buist in his last outing last January.
Southeast Asian Games kickboxing gold medalist Gina Iniong-Araos is the fifth seed in the women’s atomweight division which is dominated by long-time queen Angela Lee.
Fellow Filipina Denice Zamboanga is the top seed, followed by Meng Bo and Mei Yamaguchi.
The ranking was released for select weight divisions across the MMA, muay Thai, and kickboxing disciplines.
“The rankings will bring more clarity and transparency for our athletes as they chase their dreams for a world championship,” said ONE chairman Chatri Sitdoyodtong in a statement.
The ranking was determined by a panel that included media, industry experts, ONE Championship vice presidents Rich Franklin and former UFC champion Misha Tate.
The rankings were determined after each event, weighing wins and losses, recent performances and quality of opponents.
Team Lakay members are busy training at the Team Lakay gym in Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet even as they joined forces with ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Eric Go Yap, also the Benguet caretaker congressman, in distributing relief goods to Benguet residents. (PNA)
