Stayed up all night working on this so I hope you all enjoy my version of the Dagoth family

So here's Ma Dagoth (Merva) and all the bros (Araynys being the oldest and Voryn being the youngest)

I apologize for the doodles in advance but i'll explain them better don't worry lolz

These are pretty much my ocs at this point

Gilvoth, Uthol and Voryn are full blood brothers (as i have it in Chimer culture it's very common to have open relationships/multiple partners. Especially if you are a part of one of the major houses, it was only after the Tribubal began their god hood that Dunmer began to practice monogamy as the tribunal kinda pushed it onto them)

Gilvoth is the eldest and Voryn the youngest between these bros (and to explain the symbols, i decided to have it that the symbols represent their magical abilities which i may explain in a different post)

Gilvoth is a gay man who has an unrequited crush on king Dumac, he also doesn't get along very well with Tureynul (why? Nobody knows anymore)

Uthol is Bisexual and has a dwemer gf named Tann, He's a big mamas boy similar to Voryn. He's terrified of Voryn at times

And Voryn, head of the Dagoth house, councilor and a spoiled lil kid with a crush on his best friend. Do NOT trust child Voryn with scissors if you value your hair.

They both come from a Chimer father (don't have any info on the dads yet so)

Next! Endus and Odros

They're twins! I thought it'd be a cute idea to do so lolz

Both of them are very talkative, love throwing parties and are chubby boys!!

They both hail from a dwemer father who isn't really in their lives much (mainly due to distance + working under the previous King)

Tureynul isn't full blood related to any of the other bros, and somehow he's worse than Voryn at times. Very snobbish and uptight, kinda sour he didn't get picked to be the head of the family

He hails from a snow elf father! Which people are almost confused on how they're related since his dad is super sweet

Vemyn is adopted!

Thought it'd be funni that Uthol just found him on the street and dragged him back home like 'can we keep him pls?'

Possibly the most sane of the brothers, He's just chilling in the corner

And finally the oldest Araynys who was stuck on babysitting duty for a good majority of his life

And is also sour that Voryn got picked to be head of the house, he also has a small big crush on Almalexia. He's currently glaring at Nerevar lol

I have it that Merva is a very caring and loving woman, though she can be 'mean' at times when it comes to those 'messing' with her family (ex: She wasn't fairly kind around Tann or Nerevar for a bit, until she realized they weren't just trying to get into their house)

She's very proud of all her sons no matter what they're doing with their life, she's a good ma to her sons and to her sons friends

Lord of Tureynulal, called "Hearthrum Drinker", "Breviloquent Taskmaster", and "Gold Skinner's Curate". Scholar and academic, Tureynul presided over dwemer athenaeum with only Endus as equal. Well versed in aurals, recreation of his symphonies by our musicians has melted base iron and warped solid trickster's blood. While tonal magic is not a traditional art of House Dagoth, Tureynul's compositions are undeniably superior to those of his peers, and his mastery is as elusive as it is difficult to earn his attention. Each of his six fingers covered in the own blood from playing and each beads of his jevelry has own meaning in compostion.

My ash vampire designs, ft. some headcanons under the cut.

Araynys is a Telvanni through-and-through. She’s more than happy to let other people hold the titles, but she’s got her fingers in every pie from Mournhold to Blacklight. Anyone who knows anything knows she’s nearly as powerful as Dagoth Ur himself.

Tureynul has near-constant headaches from his nearsightedness. He wants everyone to leave him alone so he can read in peace.

Odrosa spent the better part of her childhood reading about history and law. She’s ambitious and competitive and, despite how young she is, probably better qualified than her brother to be running the joint.

Uthol is a shockingly normal teenage boy with a penchant for getting in trouble. He and Odrosa are attached at the hip. He’d love football if it existed in Morrowind.

Vemyn is angry at life. He consideres it a personal offense that he isn’t in charge, that he was forced to marry a Dwemer of all things, that his son is a useless drunk…

Endus decided to cope with his father’s cripplingly high expectations by diving straight for the bottom. He can’t be held to impossibly high standards if he’s blue-blind drunk half the time. He’s rather amicable, considering who his father is (and all the years of chronic alcohol abuse…)

Gilvoth, on the other hand, internalised near everything her father told her. She deals with her abysmal self-worth by taking it out on everyone else around her.

Divayth sends his daughter and his grandchildren birthday presents every year. He has been doing this for centuries at this point, and they still haven’t been able to figure out how he gets them past the Ghostfence.

Gilvoth: oh of COURSE, I should've GUESSED. It can take dozens of years for most elves to conceive but nooooooo, this time it was done inside of three months!

Araynys: You've done well to come this--oh you've got to be kidding me

Endus: I KNEW IT!

Odros: ...well I can't say I'm surprised...

Uthol: Azura must truly be angry to make YOU the incarnate.

Tureynul: Bastards are born all the time, I'm not seeing why I should acknowledge this one.

Vemyn: So are we going to fight, or...

HCs for how the dagoth siblings were in life i suppose that my brain has cooked up

for starters they all share the same mother (morvani) who was leader of house dagoth before voryn took over. but he had multiple husbands in her effort to try and get a respectable heir

gilvoth: the oldest and most over-protective of voryn. very easily angered and way too hot headed

vemyn: second oldest, also can be very hot headed, though not as much as gilvoth. secret soft side he will open up to his brothers with from time to time, more playful than gilvoth and got the two of them in trouble growing up all the time

uthol: quite and contemplative, but ultimately does best when he has others to back him up. errs on the side of too cautious as opposed to too impulsive like vemyn and gilvoth, doesnt actually enjoy being in a position of leadership but does like manipulating people

endus: focuses too much on the arcane arts and other studies to really want to be heir. very smart, but likes to avoid actual responsibility. isnt above things like human experimentation, and may or may not be interested in necromancy (which he keeps a closely guarded secret)

tureynul and ordos: twins, mostly influenced by their two oldest brothers. tureynul loves fighting and the sword and is is very impulsive, ordos likes destruction magic and is also impulsive. you can see these two idiots sparring with guards regularly. and tureynul swearing at ordos for accidentally setting him on fire regularly

araynys: voryn’s only full blooded sibling from the same father. he can have a pretty nasty mean streak when he wants to, but is the most passive of the siblings, instead preferring to keep peace within house dagoth. also very good at subtle manipulation. has a gentler face and softer voice that people don’t expect from house dagoth, which he can and will use to his advantage. also hes the tallest because voryn and araynys’ dad was tall as hell.

AND voryn: the youngest and baby of the family. what, you thought the heir would be the oldest? absolutely not. morvani was practical and going to pick the most promising kid for the job, even if she had to have 8 kids to pick one. voryn can be both ruthless yet controlled, able to act nonthreatening for negotiations if need be, clever but still dedicated, and most important wants to run the house. he isn’t overtly cautious and afraid to act like uthol, but not impulsive like many of his brothers, and not so passive and afraid of conflict he ends up dragging his feet like araynys. the perfect balance for morvani, or at least close enough.

she loved all her sons tbh but she liked to spoil voryn bc voryn wasn’t naughty all the time and showed a lot of promise. though she also would spoil araynys a lot too because he wasn’t an impulsive idiot. uthol and endus would have been spoiled more if they didnt get embarrassed about it tbh

vemyn was actually the closest to their mom :> he liked helping herd his siblings around and acting like her assistant.

I realised too late that I could have made a gray recolor of the skin so they would look like proper dunmers, but oh well. It's not like I'm going for accuracy anyways.

They are all vampires, but the insimenator isn't showing for some reason, so that's on hold.

Did I create them just so I could pair Voryn and Neht? No, I would never do that.

At some point while I was drawing I decided they’re Dagoth Tureynul specifically.

looks like tumblr destroyed the quality :’(   Maybe for the best bc i keep finding mistakes.

I took lots of creative liberties while designing him hehe. I realised after I’d already started the background that Dagoth Tureynul is found in a Dwemer ruin - so I’m going to say he’s just been brought ‘back to life’ by Dagoth Ur.

Lord of Odrosal, called "Guide of a Thousand Eyes" and "Vector Prophet of Allegories". He is the first to remind the children of Resdayn of their higher purpose and holds the keys to their destiny, opening the way for Truth into their dreams, after which they in turn find the way to Dagoth Ur. His inquisitive and diplomatic mind allows him to refine our consciousnesses in the same way that the energy-bearing hearts refine our bodies. To the best of the best, he passes on his knowledge of the art of sleepwalking, which he himself uses with a skill comparable only to that of Dagoth Ur himself.

Having lost his face and sight, Dagoth Odros gained the ability to see the Heart Lines, as well as observe the world through the half-slumber of the eyes of the Sleepers.

How many baby daddies did Morvani Dagoth have? And how many died under mysterious circumstances?

she had at least 3-4. gilvoth and vemyn share a dad, uthol i think is part dwemer and has his own dad, endus tureynul and ordos have another dad, and araynys and voryn share a dad

so three husbands, one side guy she had a fling with. MAYBE gilvoth and vemyn's father died bc of her. i dont even know if morvani killed him he might have died bc he was a stubborn angry moron. araynys and voryn's father i think is also dead but thats bc someone else outside house dagoth killed him when voryn was very young. morvani was the most upset about this he was her youngest husband and also her favorite (he was very handsome and a musician+dancer). tureynul, endus, and ordos' dad might have been her longest lasted husband but he died when voryn was a teenager. killed on the way back from a diplomatic mission. everyone was surprised it took him that long to kick the bucket

What are Voryn’s brothers in the omegaverse? Because it seems like it’d be very chaotic if all eight are alphas, good luck everyone else-

ive played around with the idea all of them are alphas. but standard omegaverse i usually imagine it as

gilvoth: alpha vemyn: alpha endus: beta odros: beta uthol: beta tureynul: beta or omega depending araynys: omega

after presenting nerevar was like "great, im an omega, not even a beta. now everyone is gonna expect me to roll over and keep the peace all the damn time like araynys does". araynys resents this bc he actually keeps the peace by manipulating ppl gbehgberhgb

when nerevar ran away in that one au it was araynys who helped inform all the brothers about omegas and had voryn scenting pillows and blankets for all of them. all of the brothers and several high ranking members of house dagoth all went out looking for him around the borders. vemyn didn't really pay attention to the whole "distressed omegas can't really eat or sleep easily, especially if separated from their fated mate" thing tho
