Mt. Fuji Alfort limited edition Manufacturer: Bourbon
Taken by nuo2x2 with Galaxy A51
first official post for 2024!!! aaaaand.. it’s a snack… ahahahah
chill!!! I’ll continue my regular toys and figure posts right after this, just need to share something a bit more.. nostalgic and personal
traditionally we take Fuji san picture on the new year, but this would be an even better thing, Alfort limited edition of the sacred mountain, given by a good friend on her busy schedule, so yeah, priceless… and of course with the best photography setting from yours trully, heheh
how did it taste? like a regular Alfort, but I could have sworn I can taste additional white chocolate flavor on this one

Idia Info Compilation Part 7: Idia and Cats
Idia likes cats extremely, up to and including Lucius. This may even include cat beast-people, as he says “Lions are supposedly part of the Felidae family, but Leona’s about as docile as an angry lawnmower."
He also says "Oooh, I wanna widdle kitty cat to hug and kiss…”
He tries to pet Grim, mistaking him for a cat. Grim, having been watching a horror movie with the player and Ace, subsequently tells everyone that there is an evil spirit on campus, leading Ortho to confiscate Idia’s lab wear.
Idia’s love of furry creatures does not end with cats. In the Harveston event he is thrilled to find a raccoon, rabbit, squirrels and a deer in what he describes as a “paradise”, until they discover a packet of dried fruit in his pocket and proceed to chase him down the mountain.
He also says that while "dogs themselves are okay", he "can't deal with dog people.” Despite his impatience with video game interruptions, Idia says that tests and games are alike: "You get that same dopamine rush when you score high," implying he may perform well in classes.
When asked if he had a favorite stuffed animal as a child Idia responds that, no—he has always preferred his own handmade robots since he was young. He enjoys cup ramen, gifting a box of special, limited-time cup ramen to Deuce for his birthday.
Idia’s favorite food sometimes gets translated as “junk food”, but he specifies that he prefers a sub-genre of snacks that doesn’t seem to exist in English: “chi-iku-type dagashi”, which this YouTuber has translated as “educational confectionary”.
It is where you take different gelatins and things and mix them to create candy versions of things like sushi, hamburgers, etc., in miniature form. I am sure they exist in other places, too! NA translates them as "DIY candy kits", which is also accurate.
Idia is also invested in movies, designing his dorm’s section of the Halloween Event at Night Raven College to be an homage to a B movie called “Creepy Hollow”, that no one knows but he defends passionately to anyone who will listen.
Concerning his online games, we learn in the Phantom Bride event that Idia uses the handle “Gloomurai” online. His closest online friend is a person who uses the handle “Muscle Red”.
Idia turns down an opportunity to spend time with Ortho in favor of Muscle Red. While hinted at elsewhere in the game, it is also in the Phantom Bride event that we learn that Muscle Red is Lilia, but neither student is aware of the other’s true identity.
Idia seems to keep private rankings of different students, which include but are not limited to his “Night Raven College’s most cheerful character” tier list (Kalim ranks first) and the “Turbo Sus Vice Housewardens to Be Avoided at All Costs Rankings” (topped by Rook and Trey).
Idia describes Cater as having a sunny disposition that “is relentlessly smothering”, while Cater advises Malleus against going to Idia for technological help as “he’d probably run if you tried to talk to him”.
Silver says Idia always gets “so flustered” around him (he wakes up to Idia watching him as he slept). Idia describes Silver as “seriously handsome” and “like a prince”. During Phantom Bride Idia describes Vil as “a legit pro”, saying “Leona and Malleus’ faces are mega-striking”.
He describes Riddle as “the traditional prince who’s straight-laced due to his royal upbringing, but who occasionally shows some awkward tenderness”, Epel as “the dainty second prince players just want to protect. His rare, intense expressions are dark yet compelling!”
And he describes Rook as “the prince from a neighboring kingdom who’s revealed to have been secretly protecting the MC, immediately granting him best boy status!”. Otherwise, however, he describes the school’s house wardens as “difficult”.

Day 6 - Japan Blog - 12 February 2024 Snow Monkeys and Karaoke
We had to be up super early today because we are going on a tour to see SNOW!! This desert babe has never seen snow (in its pure form, only from a snow machine... and thats NOT FAIR!!) so Im going to find some today. Still feeling sick as a dog, but I loaded up on the warm lemon/honey beverages. Theyre SO GOOD! My throat is happy. The bus tour takes us to Nagano. First we stopped at a restaurant for our "Beef Sukiyaki" meal. It was very -- push you here, take you there. Kind of tour. It wasnt very friendly or fun. It was just business... Sigh. Beer Sukiyaki was yum! We bought some regional snacks to enhoy while we are on the bus -- because Ive done these things before and being without snacks is the WORST! The guy behind us passed out because it was super hot on the bus and no fresh air. Oops! When we got to the Snow Monkey Park (Jidokundani Yaen Koen) there was a trek to be done -- and yes! SNOW!! I was actually quite scared I wouldnt be able to do the hike because Im so shit at hiking. Ben wore his new boots which caused him issues, and I feel on my butt at the end -- but it was doable. About 45 mins to the top and then another 10/15 mins to get to the onsen. I accidentally saw a Japanese dudes penis, because he was in the hotel onsen on site and he was just WALKING AROUND NAKED. You know, normal things at a tourist sight. I made a joke about this to the lady when she said there were men bathing "I thought we werent allowed to bring food -- this guy here with his MEAT hanging out" she giggled because Im an idiot. The monkeys are hilarious and cute and weird. There is a lot of drama going on with them, and screaming and chasing around the snow. But they literally just hang out in the natural hot springs and dont really care about the 100 people taking their photos. They also have a live stream too! https://www.jigokudani-yaenkoen.co.jp/livecam2/video_en.php After only being with the monkeys for about 20 mins, we were bussed to another "tourist trap" location with no food, but instead "snow igloos" where we got a beer and walked across the road instead to play in the fluffy snow. There was one stop on the way back to a roadhouse type place which had food, souveniers, a convenience store, local produce and dagashi to take home as gifts. We got burgers and other snacks to keep us going back to shinjuku.
And since we are already here; Shinjuku again. I needed something for my tattoo, so we went to Donki for a shop, and then found a karaoke place with food and drinks. (Instead of going to a bar...!) The food was dismal and the karaoke was terrible but it made for a fun experience. If you were there with a group of people, it would be awesome.

My boss gave me a little parcel of Japanese dagashi and Korean snacks for my birthday. I was looking forward to a particular Korean chocolate cornflake style snack so I opened it after dessert and it turned out to be a foil packet of crisps lmao. I have no idea why I'd assumed it was the cereal snack I was craving.
I can't even find such a thing on the internet but I'm sure I didn't make it up. It was like a puck of instant ramen but made with bran or something and bound together with chocolate.

Was he a fussy eater? - What kinds of foods did he eat as a kid?
Childhood Asks! || Accepting
12. Was he a fussy eater?
{ this is the face of a boy who learned to get used to eating things like natto (stinky unless mixed in rice) or bell peppers (bitter at first, but if prepped, it made it easier). it's good for you! although his family wasn't struggling by any means, they decided it was best to start trying new things young; they did it as a 'bonus challenge' sort of deal. if he could eat something he struggled to before, then he'd get rewarded! }
13. What kind of foods did he eat as a kid?
{ he does have some family members (on his mom's side) who loved the culinary arts, so he'd get his fill of all sorts, but his favorite would probably be baked ziti. it's a comfort food! other than that, he loves crunchy snacks like the usually savory Umaibo or deliciously chocolatey Black Thunder. boy LOVED hitting up dagashi-yas bro. }

Dagashi Day, AKA: Watch Dagashi Kashi Day
Yes, it's a bit of a stretch, but today (in Japan) is something called Dagashi Day (だがしの日), a celebration centered around, well, Dagashi. They're basically penny snacks or candies, though we don't really have an equivalent these days.
Anyways, there's no better opportunity than today to start watching Kotoyama's Dagashi Kashi anime! There's two seasons that don't completely adapt the manga, but it's not officially available to read anywhere. That said, today's also a great opportunity to send requests to Viz to license the manga in North America!
After all, as well as it being Dagashi Day, today we've also seen the release of Call of The Night volume 15, and yesterday Call of The Night season 2 was announced. It's quite a bit of Kotoyama for a 2 day spread.
Either way, everyone should definitely check out Dagashi Kashi, and if you want a bit more information on the holiday, this wikipedia article does a good job of explaining the story behind the god of sweets (though omits that they died on March 12, hence today being Dagashi Day)

@uraharashouten inquired: "Oh Yachiru-chan~" The owner of her favorite dagashi shop approaches, sack in hand. "Since you seemed to express some interest in our merchandise, I've brought you a free sample! Give these a taste, and tell me what you think?" Inside are an assortment of chili chocolates, jalapeño jelly beans, and candied ginger. Is it a cruel prank, or just a scientific test to get at the truth?
What's this? What's this? The ex-Captain with the funny hat is approaching! He's carrying a sack, a bag of goodies - some Yachiru recognizes, some she doesn't! But she knows what it is! Candy! His words initially didn't quite register, as Yachiru stood preoccupied with the fact that - after Tessai quite literally scared her off - he would come find her to give her free stuff. He really was unpredictable! And nicer than she thought - unless, as she was expecting, he had an ulterior motive.
Unfortunately, Yachiru's notoriously short attention span prevented her from spotting straight away that all the samples he brought were spicy. She just saw goodies! Snacks! She reached for a handful of the jelly beans, popping them in her mouth, and - despite the initial widening of eyes & slight jitter - she lit up like a kid on Christmas morning! The jalapeño beans were a hit! Next she'd reach for the chocolates, which elicited a similarly joyous response! "It's tingly!~" The candied ginger had a delayed response. She seemed wholly indifferent for a few moments. Then beamed right up at Kisuke, and outright HUGGED his leg.
"Thank you for the snackies, Mr. Urahara!~" Yachiru? Showing manners? Saying thanks? She really must've liked it! Prank or test - it seems a success!
#uraharashouten#{ ask }#{ Kenny's Biggest Fan! | Yachiru Kusajishi }#answer revealed!! that was the lie!
