He fished out two small rechargeable heat packs and put the box away. He activated both and handed one to Mercury.

"Put this near your hips. Not too close to the connections." It should warm his flesh up, while James knelt on one knee and carefully pressed his left hand to Mercury's knee. He frowned. Cold seeped through the blanket. He put the second heatpack there, hoping that slowly moving it around combined with a layer of blanket will warm the prostheses slowly enough to avoid a temperature shock to the nerves.

"We'll stop by Mantle. I want Pietro to check on your legs before we get back to the Academy."
