These nails r so hard to type with but here is your promised rant. Spoilers for Red Dawn 1984 below the cut

So first, there's plenty actors who were also in The Outsiders so there's a few parallels. Nner one is that Robert, played by Howell, killed Daryl, played by Darren Dalton. Which means Pony killed his brother....or Randy however u wanna view that. Number 2 is that Pony was friends with Johnny which means Johnny killed Pony in an alternate universe, bc Tommy played Robert.

Here's some parts that got me emotional. First was Toni's death, because she was begging Jed to kill her and she said 'i want it to be you' because she didn't wanna be killed by the Russians, or questioned by them. Another is when Robert broke down after finding out his dad was dead saying that he killed him because they took the guns and ammo, and the Russians killed his dad bc they noticed his products were gone, which meant he was aiding people. Another is where the Cornel died and Erica said she wouldn't love anybody ever again. Also when Jed looked at a picture of him and I think his parents after a game and cried. It wasn't really the fact that he cried, it was the whimpers he made, and the strangled noises as he tried to hide the fact that he finally broke. And another is when Jed and Mattie cried when they visited their dad in the camp. Continuing with Mattie and Jed....it completely broke me when Jed was carrying Matt's limp tired, dying body while trying to hold up his own dying body. And the fact that Jed carried Matt all that way, knowing they would both die... And when Jed said 'dad will be here soon, dad will be here soon'... holy fuck could have sobbed. And my mom brought up that Mattie never told Jed their dad was shot. So Jed might not have known. And the fact that Jed went all that way to the park so Matt could die where he had happy memories kills me. We all know Jed didn't care that he would die, he wanted Mattie to die in a place of happiness. And also how upset Erica got over Aardvark and the fact Cornel and Jed had to hold her down and then Cornel died after. Heart breaking. I think there's one more parallel but I cant remember.....fuck. Anyway. Also at the end after Jed picked up Mattie to carry him, there was one of the Cubans that was about to shoot him but the he just dropped his gun. He looked at his hands wondering why he was doing this and killing innocent people who just wanted to live in a world with out war. And Jeds pleading eyes and the Cuban held his gun up, 'please, let my brother and I die with no more pain than we're already in'. This movie was heart breaking....but at least the people died with their friends around them, and knowing they fought well and hard. Especially Jed and Mattie, they ended the battles in their territory. They ended the war almost. Who knows if it kept going after their deaths but yk. Literally could have cried. Also as I proof read this I teared up.

Hey, hope you don't mind me asking a question! I only ever really get a chance to watch gymnastics when the Olympics are on so I'm not very up to date with everything. Is there a reason why so many people online don't like/are not a fan of Mykayla Skinner? 👀

Hi! I don’t mind at all :) I’m a long winded writer, so I apologize for this long post in advance!

My issues came in 2016 with her racist tweets, but only grew as I saw this grown adult woman not try to change her attitude or actions.

First, I think it is important to acknowledge the racist tweet that includes a teenaged white girl tweeting the N-word. She also verbally said it in Snapchat stories. Rumor has it that she got yelled at while at the ranch by USA Gymnastics coaches and officials back before the Rio Olympics, but a rumor is a rumor. She hasn’t addressed it since or shown any strides for changing.

Thoughts about her racism only solidified after she didn’t make the team in 2016, which she seemingly blamed on Gabby. This is despite there already being two stronger floor workers on the team (Simone and Aly) and the highest team score coming from Gabby being on the team. In an act of sheer unsportsmanlike behavior (which one could also argue racist through the use of the monkey emoji next to a white girl emoji) she liked a photo of her photoshopped on the team in place of Gabby Douglas.

Remember too, that she was an alternate and still had to travel with Gabby and technically be her teammate from afar. I made a point of this last night, but when you’re a public figure AND a teammate…you just can’t do shit like this. Even if she ‘accidentally liked it because a fan tagged her,’ it’s still irresponsible of her. She has a platform and that was a choice to like that tweet.

Another blow came when instead of genuinely apologizing, she posted a forced “sorry if you got offended” tweet.

Moving forward to the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her husband lived their lives as normal with her husband even taking an allegedly maskless business vacation which culminated in her actually getting COVID. Her husband had the phrase “plandemic” on his Pelaton account bio so take that as you will with the millions of deaths worldwide.

It’s worthy to note as well that her gymnastics is labored and doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing to the seasoned gymnastics fan. This is primarily rooted in her (lack of) technique and her coaches’ preference for chucking difficult skills rather than building up to them and building form that elite gymnasts are expected to have. Her vlogs have been really telling in this regard.

As for her vault, Her block (the part where she makes contact with that vault table) is infamous for not getting much bounce. She basically did a cheng one handed for a good chunk of her elite career, which is dangerous and makes the vault look small. She’s a fast twister and gets her vaults around, I’ll give her that, but her vaults do not get a ton of height and she really only moves in the horizontal plane.

You’ll see a lot of MS stans say how much she’s improved since going to college…here’s her block in 2016 and 2021

Similarly, on bars, beam, and floor, her technique is plagued by bent knees. This, like her block, doesn’t allow her to get that rebound you need for more extended passes with great amplitude. This means she tucks/pikes during legs skills that should be in a layout position. She competes a layout and tucked version of the double double on floor, so it’s been somewhat of a running joke on tumblr hoping that the layout version will get devalued and she gets deducted for doing the same skill twice. While partially out of malice, there’s something to be said about wanting to see beautiful gymnastics get rewarded properly.

In a recent video she couldn’t even properly do a double layout while extended, only further proving this point.

And then that leads us to last night where despite being personally told by Tom and his wife that they were favoring Mykayla leading up to trials (and really throughout this quad…) and get her to the Olympics, she likes anti-Tom tweets. Not to say she can’t be critical of him, but this comes off to me as biting the hand that feeds you. What got to me is that, once again, she liked tweets that put her teammates down to build herself. The irony of this is that even if they did put her on the team over Grace McCallum (Jordan Chiles was a pretty much a lock by the time trials rolled around) the US still would’ve qualified second. She still would’ve got 2 pc’d out of finals. But most agree it’s because she just realized that she won’t be going home with any medals.

TLDR: Despite having ample opportunity to take accountability and improve herself and her gymnastics, she doesn’t and frames herself as the victim for it.

Rebel Robin podcast (ep 3 &4 analysis)

For those who haven’t read them yet. Here’s the analysis for podcast ep 1&2. Analysis of Rebel Robin book-here. And eastereggs from rebel robin novel- here.

So the main things I noticed in ep 3 was how Robin spying was shown as a huge NEGATIVE-and Mr Hauser got upset over her doing so. Robin listens to mr. Hauser’s phone call (like Karen with Mike in s3/ us gov spying on calls in s1) & on a different occasion Robin also eavesdrops on a private convo he is having with someone else in his classroom ( like El spying on Mike talking to Lucas in s3). And when he finds out about this he tells her how wrong it was to spy on other people like that. In the past, I also talked about how the theme of spying is shown for many other st characters ( in the show) and how it  isn’t romanticized like people think it is- here .

Anyways , Ep 3 ends with a call from a h*mophobic teen( Dash) telling Robin to “stay away” from Mr. Hauser cause he’s “dangerous”. Why he thinks he’s dangerous is solely for the fact he’s gay.I think this theme may come into play in s4 Hawkins (in relation to the satanic panic). In ep 4 Robin jokes to (gay) Mr. Hauser  : “ So what are you into... satanism?” (Sadly most queer people have been told over and over we’re going to hell for being gay/lgbt+. it’s sadly an almost universal experience.) For those unaware- the ‘satanic panic’ was a right wing christian movement in the 80′s that WRONGLY associated certain things with supposed satanism.  Just some of the many things they demonized : rock music , stephen king , wearing black,  horror/fantasy media, and of course queer people and d&d (hellfire club - the name is a a xmen ref but in the show it’s probably an inside joke about the satanic panic and people being scared of d&d). We see foreshadowing of the satanic panic hinted in s3 (in relation to d&d)- on tv the narrator asks if “satanism” (pans to d&d set) is to blame for the odd occurrances in Hawkins. And given how the s4 el-trailer had the clock say 3:00am for the “witching hour” also called “the devil’s hour” since it’s supposed to be a subversion of jesus dy*ing at 3:00 pm. And the possibility s4 may take place around Easter.  I think we’ll see that religious (Christian) extre*sm  causes many people in Hawkins to interpret the supernatural as ‘satanic’. And no , I’m obviously not talking poorly about all religious/christian people).

After this Mr. Hauser jokes how Hawkins is like “lord of the flies” and how he “worries” what would happen if teens were left to their own devices-like in the book. The themes in the book mostly focus on the dangers of ‘mob mentality’ and how human beings can become v*olent and turn on each other- if the safety of civilization disappears...

This I believe is foreshadowing - i mentioned in a post a while back (here). How movies on the s4 list had the theme of :  a supernatural event indirectly causing towns people to act irrationally and turn on eachother v*olently. Despite literal monsters attacking them from outside (they chose to turn on eachother instead). In the end some townspeople become the real monsters via mob mentality/v*oence/false witch hunts (the mist, the birds, etc). In ‘the birds’ (while people are hidding in a store)- they wrongly  blame certain characters for the supernatural chaos. Similarly, in ‘the mist’ (crowd of townspeople are trapped in a store) and some  start interpreting the monsters as being sent as punishment by god- some town’s people start quoting the bible and saying the only way to stop the punishment is to start “sacrificing the s*nners and nonbelievers”. BIG YIKES.ST references mapple street (where the wheelers and sinclairs live). It’s based on the twilight zone ep of the same name “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street” .The ‘monsters’ of that episode -were the townspeople turning on eachother because they incorrectly think their own neighbors are part of an invading supernatural army. The enemy was actually the paranoia/mob mentality-not the supernatural force they feared.  And yes i do think this concept is linked with 80s satanic panic and will cause some town division/obstacles for our heroes to deal with . **I also think the s4 bts of the Hawkins blood clinic-may be used to show h*mophobia (linked to satanic panic) in the town. Like in one s4 movie “paradise lost”the punk rock boys who were into black clothes, rock music , horror/stephen king books- were accused by the town’s people of being gay AND have demonic powers that are k*lling fellow town’s people.

Mr Hauser says he thinks steve Harrington is Ralph from lord of the flies. And Robin disagrees saying he’s Jack. Personally- since this was when Robin didn’t know/hated Steve. I think Mr hauser is right that Steve is Ralph (one of the oldest boys) who’s “commitment to civilization and morality is strong”. But Jack  (perhaps the popular s4 kid Jake?) and his savage crew take control of the group and start trying to attack Ralph and his friends (steve’s crew- over satanic panic?). How this begins is -

 Jack, torments Ralph and others. And some kids begin to develop savage personalities, after someone claims to have seen a Beast (demongorgan?) in the woods. This creates fear among the boys, which allows Jack to access more power.Ralph gets into an argument with Jack, who splits from the tribe. Many of the other boys follow Jack, who uses fear to manipulate the boys into leaving Ralph. And Jack’s crew begin attacking Ralph and his friends.

Ok, next topic of ep 4- the sentimental part of my brain got emotional when hearing how upset Robin was. And than Mr Hauser-telling her she’s wrong and she’s not “broken” or “rotten” and “nothing about her needs to be fixed’” (got me right in the feels) . As a queer person- I feel like every lgbt+ kid/teen needs to hear what Mr. Hauser said to Robin. 

However,  the analytical part of my brain -did notice some easterggs/ series parallels.

The convo starts with them talking about music Mr hauser likes (such as Bowie). And transitions to Mr Haauser asking about things she likes, whether she’s being bullied, and he later tells her “ DON’T let other people’s small mindedness make you fell bad about yourself. you don’t need to change yourself-no matter what anyone else says” . And Mr Hauser than says him calling her the “weirdest girl in Hawkins” was a compliment (not an insult-like she initially assumed). 

This is remarkably similar to certain scenes in s1/2. In s1, Jonathan mentions musicians he likes such as Bowie, asks Will about what he likes,  and tells Will “don't like things cause people tell you you’re supposed to-especially not him (their dad who called him h*mophobic names)” . In s2, Jonathan tries to cheer Will up after asking if he's being being bullied. And calls Will  “a freak” (and says it’s a good thing) and he should be content with being a “freak “ and compares Will to Bowie ( who was openly queer since the 70s) . 

In ep 4, Robin also mentions how sad she is that her parents won’t let her ride her bike anymore cause their paranoid about her safety  (like what happened to Will in s2).

Robin (before Mr. Hauser comforts her) says she feels like she has a “rot” inside her  . This is a s2 eastergg that could be linked to either Will or El. Will says his now-memories are “growing”, spreading”, and killing.” Later Kali says the emotional pain caused by her father  caused a “wound” to “spread”. Later allusion-Brenner tells El she has a “terrible wound “ (“a rot”) that Will “grow, spread, and kill.”

The reason Robin rants about feeling like she has a “rot” inside her is because she’s being bullied, and  lost all her Hawkins friends and says  “maybe I’m broken maybe there is just something about me that drives people away? I’m the only common denominator-there’s something wrong with me! There’s something inside of me that’s just rotten and there’s nothing i can do to fix it”. Which 1)-poor Robin. 2) I feel like could easily be How Will feels in s4(who will be the same age as Robin is here in the podcast)- his dad abandoned him, all his hawkins friends are gone , the st s4 movies have h*mophobic bullying in them (and he was bullied in the past). In a interview Noah said Will in s4 “doesn’t really get along with people-it’s just him and Mike.”  I think it fits more so with Will than El . But they may feel similar:  it’s implied in s4 audition tapes she’ll be bullied too,  she moved away from her friends,  and her father (Hopper) fake “passed away.” It could easily be how both Will and El feel in s4- that there is  something “broken”/ “rotten” about them . In fact, in the rebel Robin novel there is even a character named Sheena. Sheena reminds me a bit of a mix between Will and el . She is very quiet, queercoded, and is often bullied. And she finds mean notes and other things stuffed  in her locker- placed there by bullies. A bit like how Will found the zombie-boy note in his locker. A teacher doesn’t stop her bullying just blames her and says “ This wouldn’t happen if you made it just a smidgen easier for PEOPLE to understand you.”(sort of reminding me of that Noah quote about s4 Will not getting along with most people/Jonathan saying not to change himself cause “people” say to). But sheena can be another name for Jane (there was also a 80s show character named Sheena who was psychic) so ...maybe foreshadowing of el/jane being bullied in highschool? Along with Will?

*It’s not a eastergg/parallel...just speculation. Unlike the rebel robin book... in the podcast (in multiple episodes) almost every time she opens up to Mr Hauser about her problems she says it’s ok for him to do the same and she’ll be supportive and listen. However, Mr Hauser (so far) always rejects her offer-much to her hurt/frustration. In ep 4, she asks if he has someone his “own age” he can talk to about his problems-which he says he does. Now... since in ep 4 Mr hauser is paralleled to Jonathan maybe Jonathan will have someone his own age to talk to about his problems (maybe his new friend Argyle?) We see similar to Mr Hauser giving advice/pep talks to (gay) Robin. Jonathan is always giving advice/peptalks to our (gay-coded) Will. But so far- Jonathan has no one he really emotionally leaned on in the same way (Will does with Jonathan). I also wonder if Will in s4 starts gets tired of how he always confides in Jonathan (but Jonathan never does the same with Will  in return)? Like Robin with Mr. Hauser?

okay but can you imagine the absolute clusterfuck if the us team gets exposed to COVID in tokyo because of tom’s idiotic decision to house and train the main team & alternates together and won’t ask athletes to be vaccinated? i highly doubt sk*nner is vaccinated just based on her husband’s #plandemic bullshit (even though he got covid last year) and leanne isn’t either. to boot, the delta variant is starting to make up the majority of cases and is 100% more contagious than the original variant. worst case scenario, everyone has to quarantine since all ten of them are in the same bubble, and then no one can compete for the us at all. how insane would that be, if russia and china were competing for a team gold, simone loses the opportunity to dominate her second olympics, suni’s dad doesn’t get to watch his daughter be the first hmong american to represent the US, etc., etc. all because tom forster has no backbone and lost all of his brain cells?? if i were on the main team, but ESPECIALLY if i were Simone, I would be having quite a few words with Tom right now because his actions and dumbassery are putting not only the US team’s performance potential at risk but also their long-term health.

WOOOO, buddy. Let me just start off by saying, everyone is entitled to an opinion. 

in regards to the tags under this post, i’m sure.  

To begin with in the nicest way possible because I understand that this isn’t attack, it’s just a question — never once did I personally say to “cancel” Jer*my R*nner. I’m entitled to BELIEVE the allegations against him, as a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault myself. I find it in my heart that his wife’s accusations are accurate. My persona opinion is that I don’t like him, because he makes himself out to be a creep and has a bad vibe demeanor that literally ROLLS off of him in interviews / the way he is with his female co-stars, etc. I didn’t say that you weren’t allowed to be him, but I PERSONALLY will not write with someone using him as a face claim, because as a writer, I am entitled to that right. ALL I ASKED was that you should look into the factual allegations against him and reconsider who you’re using / who you’re saying YOU’RE OKAY with enough to the point of endorsement through means of role play. Let me be 110% clear when I say my limits are my limits. I do not wish to see his face on my dash, because he makes me uncomfortable. 

To add to that, I’d like to say that him and his wife have both accused each other of being on drugs, being abusive to one another, doing things that they shouldn’t in front of their daughter, etc. I beg you to research it. I’m not saying his wife is in the right, either. But there is also a story on their child being lightly sexually abused, BY HIM. 

Take it into personal consideration. You’re a mother to a young girl. She comes home from her dad’s house, saying, “mommy, daddy touched me / looked at me / was incredibly creep or uncomfortable with me.” and tell me WHAT THE FUCK your first reaction would be to this? I promise, that if it were me, it wouldn’t be “oh my child’s a liar”. I would want it to be thoroughly investigated and if I had to bring up years of trauma and abuse to do so, I would do it because who would actually be okay with their child going through that? I’m just saying. I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THE ALLEGATIONS AND HIS FACE / HIM  / ANYTHING INVOLVING HIM is reason enough for me to be uncomfortable. 

But since it’s so cut and dry; YES.  If we are to believe women, allegations are ENOUGH to cancel someone, especially if there are enough allegations.

Oh I've seen so many movies I've absolutely loathed. But what takes the cake in what I want out of my head forever so I can feel peace and ignorance again: Cad/dyshack or Bat/man VS Sup/erman. I could go on a RANT about both but I'll spare you.

33. What’s one skill that you’d like to try and learn for fun?

I actually have a whole bucketlist of stuff I'd love to learn/try! I'm one of those ppl who latches on to a new dream hobby like every month and the only thing stopping me is lack of funds/time/available classes lmao

A big one I've had since childhood though is woodworking! I used to have a little plastic playset I loved as a small child with fake planks of different sizes with holes and screws to build things, then when I got older and kinda forgot about it M/ose from N/ed's Dec/lassified reawakened my interest and was kind of an 'Oh wow girls can legit do that, it's not just a gruff man thing? And it's pretty cool?'.

Unfortunately I'm complete dogshit at measuring anything bc judging size in relation and amounts of items is hard for me. Like, had the best teacher ever for a light shop/engineering class in middle school who tried to take me under his wing as much as he could and he still couldn't save my projects from being completely out-of-scale, not-working disasters. Also I'm terrified of being around saws of any kind.

I love seeing the stuff the guy who played R/on Swa/nson makes, like on his crafting reality show with Amy? Everyone he talks about it in detail I'm like, yes please educate us let me live vicariously through you.

I'm sure I'd do a lot better with the more freehand creative type stuff though, like whittling things with one of those knives. You can kind of eyeball that, no measuring required really and you have a lot more control over what you're doing/how much pressure you're adding. That was also lowkey awakened by tv (Dr/ake and Jo/sh, when the guy makes a duck out of the soap bar). I make fun of Leonard's stupid wooden ducks but I would unironically love doing stuff like that. Idk what I would do with all the little figurines and carved sticks but... I wanna carve things.

I'm very wary of cutting myself up doing it unsupervised though, so I'd rather not attempt it unless I could take a beginner's class or something first. Or get the proper supplies.

I've been struggling to think of something for max but either she's the wicked stepmother's child or she's claude frollo's child. Maybe both? This is mostly based off of background as opposed to her character though. Like she has a hateful father who tries to instil his hatred in her but it doesn't work. She's stronger than that.

I think if will were to be a VK, he'd have to have a mother from auradon. Maybe in some twisted world where hans and anna had a child? because hans would hate the fact that he got stuck with the kid since will is so soft and kind in spite of where he lives and could never be like hans. I’m sure I’ve subposted this person before but I am reasonably sure that I have never screenshotted her shadiness because at the time it happened, I felt it the contents of the shadiness were so bad that they would only hurt people if I reproduced them. here goes.

there’s this person in town I knew from college, ws classes. back then she didn’t do any like anti-rape activism with us, but after college she went to get a social work degree, and decided to do antirape social work professionally. she now has some kind of peer educator organizing/advocacy position in the sexual assault program (unsure if the core sexual assault program, but something like that) here. 

now, I want to couch that as carefully as possible: I think she came into that position around the time of the title ix news or just before, but significantly before the you-know-what shit at the university. [editing for clarity: obviously not before the things happened, but before they were national news.] back then, even before all of that, a lot of people had issues with leadership in the core sexual assault program, they did some shady political stuff and were awful to some survivors who were pretty public about it. I’m not sure that most of those people are still working over there. this person came into the programs around the time of that transition, likely as some kind of hiring sweep to preempt the title ix stuff, it’s on us era, I dunno for sure. she wasn’t involved with all the high level controversy, but I recall that she was involved in an absolutely horrendous bystander intervention program. we all know that the lit on bystander intervention doesn’t look so great, and we also know that bystander intervention programs are usually just a way for universities to preempt title ix related funding cuts without getting sued by frat dads, right, but it was worse than just ineffective. the program, I shit you not, the slogan was: “be a bystander.” I don’t know that it was her idea or anything, but she was really proud of it. on facebook she was sharing her work asking people to “pledge to be a bystander.” I guess I should sort of feel bad for her for being that dumb after paying for that much college? but that’s not the point. the point is actually that we should not trust professional anti-rape advocates anyway, especially when they work for institutions like the one she works for. that’s just the context.

the real thing is that back then--I really can’t remember exactly, but I believe that it was around the time she was hired in--she was sharing and posting a bunch of extremely disturbing t*rf memes on facebook, including some from pages that were unapologetic anti-trans pages. I took some screencaps but I don’t know if I still have them. this must have been around 2015, because she was posting things about c**tlyn j*nner. one of them was a graphic photoshopped photograph of a woman who was all bruised up, supposed to be a dv victim, you might have seen this one, I don’t remember exactly. it said something like... j*nner will never know what it’s really like to experience gender based violence? or maybe it said like, trans women only care about superficial things, not real issues, like dv? you get it. after a handful of these someone actually kindly “called her in” about it, but they made the mistake of basically saying, “hey, these memes are from a page that advocates hatred toward trans women.” so she removed them and posted an apology, but what she actually apologized for was sharing from bad facebook pages, not for saying alarmly transmisogynistic, violent horrible things. (not to mention a dv advocate sharing disgusting exploitative images of dv victims like that.)

so anyway, I hate”follow” on facebook since then. trouble is that she hasn’t disappeared off the face of the earth, inconveniently. and now she knows a lot of my friends, including some people who are my friends and would be vulnerable to her beliefs, ie, like, regardless of any power she has, I would like for a fake bitch t*rf to not be fake friends with my trans friends, on principle, and for their emotional safety.

but I’m hearing what you are thinking: she maybe has educated herself, and has changed. so what I’d like is for a way for her to demonstrate that she has changed (to me! I mean to anybody else who is wondering, but to ME), maybe while also doing something constructive, ideally without making a spectacle. I’m not really sure if people who would be impacted by her past-maybe-current-evilness would even want to know, and maybe I should actually just talk to her one on one about it. calling in, lol!  

this is coming up now because I saw her dumb ass on facebook--listen, she could absolutely apologize for those particular bad actions and show me that she is not an evil t*rf bitch, but she could never convince me that she’s a genius--promoting a new zine she made--and here’s where we return to “social workers are helplessly stupid, borderline a plague”--which is called “the do’s and don’ts of supporting survivors.” in 2018. I mean okay!

anyway: I can seethe about this forever while feeling hopeless, I can unfriend her which would only achieve peace of mind for ME plus lower the risk of me doing something impulsive that helps no one lol, orrrr what. I should tell her that I’ve been stressed about this for many years? I could ask her if she understands, imperfect white woman to imperfect white woman lol? I could ask her to maybe like do some kind of trans fundraising gesture to make sure anybody who may remember what she did in the past can understand that she now understands that the safety of trans women is important to her professional feminism lol? I really don’t wanna tell my friends about this and stress them out needlessly but I’m OFTEN pissed at this person and like, it does not seem like she’s going anywhere, so

eta: like to clarify, the stakes are not just my friends, the stakes are that she does hold a position of power in anti-rape advocacy locally and back then I wanted to get her ass fired but didn’t, and now I would only feel comfortable having her around getting paid to advocate for victims of sexual violence if she demonstrate that not only does she think trans women deserve care and advocacy and dignity, but that she is actively including that principle in her work, getting PAID to REPRESENT SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE
