“what is he doing on the ceiling?!” kate yelled as soon as you entered the lobby, searching for your little toddler ben. you rubbed your eyes as you approached a very baffled kate, “your child is on the ceiling! how are you so calm?!”
“it’s 7 in the morning.” you winced as you looked at ben, him giving you an excited look and extended his arm towards you, making you do the same, “come on, benny, come to mama.”
and he did so as, un-sticking himself from the wall as he perfectly landed in your arms.
your two year old was way better at this than peter when he had started out as spider-man. his hand kept getting stuck to different places and after a bunch of ripped t-shirts and a couple of haircuts, you bought him rubber gloves. however, that didn’t work either.
as your little boy nestled against your chest, you looked over to kate who still had surprise written all over her face, “he’s spider-man’s child.” you explained simply.
“but- what if he fell down?”
“oh, he wouldn’t. he’s way too smart for that, aren’t you, benny?” you booped his nose and he gave you a grin.
“yes, mommy.”
you and peter had kept your relationship secret for a couple of years, at least from peter’s superhero gang. so it didn’t come off as a surprise when the avengers found out that you two had a one year old. they were very disappointed in you two for not telling this big a thing but the second they saw ben’s cute little face and his smile, you were forgiven and everyone was happy.
when you agreed to move into the avenger’s tower, tony was more than excited. he added a bunch of toys to the huge playroom that was originally built for morgan.
you were surprised to see that thor was the most attached to your baby. he spent time with him and thursdays were reserved to thor and ben taking a tour of the city. you trusted thor, however you had only allowed this after ben turned two, which was only a few weeks ago.
whenever natasha was around, she would tell ben all kinds of stories about how she kicked bad people’s butts so that little kids could sleep peacefully at night and ben would adore those “tales” even though they were real.
“next time you find him on a ceiling, just show him a cookie, he’ll come right down.” you told kate as you patted ben’s back, gently lulling him back to sleep.
“if you say so.” kate replied, chuckling as she watched you for a minute, “you should get some more sleep too, you look tired.”
“he refused to sleep last night because tony let him have extra ice-cream.” you rolled your eyes.
you noticed ben had fallen asleep, already drooling over the material of your t-shirt as you carried him back to his crib, placing him securely under his blanket before you made your way to your own bed. your husband, peter was still fast asleep. you laid down on the bed, peter already pulling you closer as if it was a reflex. you felt his arm relax against you, his head resting close to your shoulder and soon you felt the soft caress of sleep take over.
the bedside clock showed 10:34 as time when your eyes opened again. the room was empty, peter and ben both gone. you quickly freshened up before making your way out of the room and into the main gathering area once again.
only this time you were greeted with everyone sitting around and laughing as steve held his shield on his lap with ben sitting on top of it.
“hey, babe.” peter was the first one they greeted you as he placed a kiss on your cheek and dragged you in the middle of whatever was happening.
“uh, what’s happening?” you asked, looking around.
“your child is stuck to cap’s shield.” tony said, an almost proud smile spread over his face to which steve gave him a glare.
“guess who inspired it.” natasha rolled her eyes at her two friends, however a small smile remained on her face at the little banter going on.
just then kate ran into the room, holding a cookie in her hand as she handed it to steve, “got it!”
“come on, kid.” steve said, waving around the cookie in the air in front of him. ben’s eyes lit up and steve smiled, “it’s yours if you leave the shield.”
however, cap’s efforts failed as ben reached out one hand to grab the sweet but didn’t move a bit to release his shield.
“i bribed him good.” tony shrugged as he sipped on his black coffee.
you watched the whole scene unfold, amused to say the least. you noticed peter snickering as he stood beside you. you smacked his chest lightly, “you think this is funny? go get your child.”
“and forget the spider-bike mr stark promised me? never.”

Tony during a team dinner trying to make a point while talking about Y/N and Peter: I'd like to point out I raised two fully functional children.
Steve, shocked: You have two kids we don't know about??
Tony: Come on, they're good people.
*Meanwhile Y/N and Peter across the table*
Y/N to Peter: Can you pass me a napkin?
Peter: Is milady's arm broken?
Y/N: Yours is about to be.
Peter: Move!
Y/N: You have room!
Peter: No, move out! You're 40!
Y/N: *gasps*
The team after watching Y/N and Peter throw each other pieces of food like children: *They look back at Tony with raised eyebrows*
Tony:
Tony: Don't look at me, it's Pepper's fault. I was barely around!

20 Minutes | dad!peter imagine
A/N: just a quick one before I sleep. I saw a gif from we live in time and just suddenly became very needy for some dad Peter again. It’s been a little while, hope you enjoy. If you know the Bluey episode that inspired, you are a real one and I have love for you. Also MJ stands for May Junior
Warnings: this is just some dad!peter fluff, everyday domestic parent stuff even though your hubby is the local superhero
The moment he climbs through the window, he’s already wishing he was back in the other side of it.
“Ahhh good, you’re home.” You say cheerfully as you enter the room. “Here, hold this.” You say, holding out your two and a half month old to him, just as a cry of “Muuuuuuuuumm!” called out to down the hall.
“What? The? Huh? What?” Peter frowns at you confused as he stands in the middle of the room in his spider suite, toddler in his outstretched hands as you’re already beginning to leave the room, another call of “muuuuuuuuummm!” echoing down the hall.
“I just need 20 minutes.” You tell him.
“But I just got in.” He protests.
“20 minutes.” You reason cheerfully, like it’s no time at all and he will be fine.
“Maaaaaaaahhhhmmm!” The voice down the hall comes again and he can see the way your shoulders rise and the corners of your lip twitch at your 4 year olds whine of your household moniker.
“Daddy’s coming in just a minute!” You call back to the young girl out in the living room.
“Can I at least take the suit off?” Peter tries to reason as the toddler in his hand starts to pull at the stretchy material.
“Just 20 minutes.” You repeat to him again as you begin to back away. “20 minutes.” You say. You can hear his small frustrated huff that no doubt was paired with the famous Parker eye roll, but you didn’t care. If you didn’t get 20 minutes to yourself and a moment to go to the bathroom in peace, you were probably going to throw yourself out of the window your husband just climbed through.
Okay maybe that was a little dramatic, but in your defence he had been out longer than he said he would on patrol and MJ has regressed back into her clingy phase. As you locked the bathroom door and pulled out your phone in order to have a quick scroll through social media and a catch up whilst you sat on the loo, the reason for your husbands tardiness quickly became apparent.
There was video after video popping up of footage from peoples phones of Spider-Man saving a family from a car wreck. As you watched the masked figure swing into action again and again from different angles, watched him pull the two kids from the back of the burning car, your irritation before quickly subsided, instead making way for pride; for your husband, his family values, his care for the people of your community. Memory after memory of him sharing both special and also mundane moments with your two children flooded your mind, making your heart glow and your tummy all fuzzy and warm.
When you eventually emerged from the bathroom 20 minutes later and made your way back down the hall, that fuzzy feeling only grew as you saw him sat on the sofa with your two children tucked in tightly to either side of him. He had put on your fluffy robe over the top of his suit, the legs and sleeves poking out beneath the pink fabric comically, as he read a book to them.
As he turned the last page, MJ cried, “Again, again, read it again daddy.”
“But May, I’ve already read it to you three times. Maybe we should give another book a go.” He tried to sway her.
“Again!” She insisted and you loved the way he laughed with her as she giggled at her own cheekiness.
He looked up to you then as you leant against the door frame, hopefully. “Or maybe Mommy can read it.” He stated.
“Orrr,” you began to counter as you saw May’s eyes light up at the sight of you and the prospect of you reading her, her favourite book of the moment for the umpteenth time that day, “we could go out for ice cream.” You suggested.
There was a piercing shriek as May got up from the sofa at the sound of the trigger word. “IIICCCEEEECREEEEAAMM!” She screeched before running off to find her shoes.
“Ice cream?” Peter asks with raised brow as he stands to hand off your youngest back to you.
“Yeah,” you say with a coy smile, “I think we’ve all earned it.”
“Well, if that’s the case, I best go get out of this suit then.” He muses.
“Oh really?” You whine. “But this is such a good look on you.” You joke.
“It’s a good thing I love you Mrs Parker.” He grins, a leaning forward to kiss your lips.
“I love you too.” You smile.
“IIIICCEEEEE CRRREEEAAAMMM!” May bellowed excitedly as she came back in the room, her shoes on the wrong feet and her jacket inside out. Both of you couldn’t help but laugh.
“You get changed, I’ll help her out.” You smile.
“I love you.” He says again as he begins to back away. “You’re my hero!” He shouted across the room to you, reminding you your just as resilient and heroic as he was- and sure, you couldn’t swing from buildings or save kids from the back of burning cars, but you could look after both your kids alone for 6-8 hours of the day and live to tell the tail; and that in itself was a heroic act too.

Promises, oceans deep - peter parker x reader
peter parker x f!reader // you said you were gonna grow up, then you were gonna come find me // based on the song 'Peter' by Taylor Swift
Summary: the misfortune of being left behind in the blip, and the consequences of aging without him.
Part two <3
tw: mention of bad eating habits/food disorder; insomnia; angst
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night was cold, dark. The halls of the compound were as empty as they had been since the blip. That's the thing about this place - in it's hayday, it was a wonderful place to live. Laughter and camaraderie filled every corner, every crevice. There was always music, dancing, movies, games, whatever. That was before. Now, the halls were a stark reminder of everything that is lost. Every step echoed in this hollow home.
Forgive me, Peter My lost fearless leader In closets like cedar, Preserved from when we were just kids. Is it something I did?
The glow of the fridge was the only light in the kitchen as you searched for anything to eat. It hadn't even occurred to you to look earlier, when you could do something about the empty shelves. You sighed, taking the milk and setting it on the counter, prepared for another night of cereal for dinner.
"You need to eat better, (y/n)." You jumped at the voice behind you. How, when your steps were so cacophonous, were his so silent? You turned to face him, turning to pick up the blanket that had slipped off your shoulders as you jumped.
Steve. As he turned the light on, he looked tired. The bags beneath his eyes aging him by at least a couple of years at least. You had always considered him to be almost immortal, un-aging. But these past few years, you saw him looking older, much more tired. You weren't really sure if it was a result of the pain of the times, or if he really was biologically aging. The thought of either was too painful to dwell on.
"Yeah? And you need to sleep better, Cap."
He chuckled and shrugged with a small, sad smile on his face. You both knew the other was right, and also knew that neither of your words would make a difference. After two years of your comrades being missing, dead or blipped, the Avengers had stalled. So, each of you, the remainders that is, seemed to have set about to destroy yourselves in a myriad of different ways.
He walked around the counter, taking the milk out of your hands. He opened the top and gave it a whiff, visibly recoiling. "That's so out of date." He poured it down the sink before bumbling around the kitchen, bringing out a pan, some eggs and various herbs and spices. "Sit down, let me make you something substantial."
You followed his orders, knowing that if you told him that you weren't hungry, felt sick, he wouldn't believe you. You knew he had too much on his plate with all the council meetings you had long gave up on. Just tonight, you would give him the win. God knows he needed it.
There was a comfortable silence between the two of you as he crafted up a meal with anything usable he could find in the kitchen, "God, we have to get better at doing food shops." He muttered, mostly to himself.
He broke the silence as he handed you a plate of food, having made on for himself as well. He sat next to you at the kitchen island as you both ate. "So, how's school?"
You almost laughed at the mundane question. You tried to remember the last time you were asked such a question. You missed this, you supposed. The small talk, back when life was normal. Back before Thanos.
"School is... okay." You didn't want to tell him that actually, school was a constant reminder that your boyfriend and two best friends were missing, presumed dead. "It's boring, pointless."
"You graduate this year, right?" He asked.
The question made your bones go cold. You hadn't even thought about it, but yeah. You would be graduating this year. Without them. You swallowed harshly. "Yeah."
He could see the emotions written all over your face and gave your shoulder a squeeze, reassuringly.
You went back to silence.
The goddess of timing, once found us beguiling. She said she was trying, Peter, was she lying? My ribs get the feeling she did.
The day was a blur. You walked up to the stage to receive your diploma, looking out into the crowd. They were sitting in the guests of honour box, being the avengers and all. Natasha and Steve smiled at you and waved, Bruce and Tony cheered while Thor gave you a hearty thumbs up. Rocket sat on his shoulder, looking bored. You wandered across the stage in a fugue state, accepting the scroll and the valedictorian award. The school hadn't asked you to do the speech, which you were grateful for. They knew you never really talked anymore.
As you returned to your seat, the principal called out "And now, we want to take a moment to remember those that we lost..."
When his photo flashed across the screen, you were sure you were going to be sick.
And I didn't wanna come down I thought it was just goodbye for now.
"Good job, kid." Natasha opened her arms and enveloped you in a hug. You returned it, almost desperately. You didn't feel like it was a good job. It was an empty achievement without them.
You both turned to walk back to the parking lot, with Steve putting his arm around you. "What do you want to do to celebrate, bud? You wanna go out to dinner?"
While your heart screamed absolutely not, your head said that they needed the win. "Sure, yeah."
You said you were gonna grow up, then you were gonna come find me.
When you moved to college, it was almost a breath of fresh air. You felt bad, leaving Steve, Natasha and Bruce since Tony had left to live with Pepper and Morgan, and Thor had gone to settle the Asgardians into New Asgard. But the silence in the halls of the compound was chest-crushing, and only grew worse by the day.
You heaved your things up the stairs into your dorm. A single one, thank god. Being one of the surviving members of the Avengers really did have its perks sometimes. You struggled to carry things that you probably wouldn't have before, and recently you had noticed that you were so tired. You tried to hide your shaky legs and the sweat on your forehead from Steve and Natasha. But they noticed, and exchanged worried glances behind your back.
Steve obviously insisted on helping everyone else in the parking lot, ever the good samaritan. You and Natasha arranged your room together, putting up posters and decorations and trying to make the space feel homely.
You picked up a picture frame and turned it around. Him.
You said you were gonna grow up, then you were gonna come find me. Words from the mouths of babes, promises, oceans deep. But never to keep.
The assignment you were working on was rough, like, really rough. You had been conducting some research and there was just something alluding you. You ended up scrolling through instagram instead, when Steve's contact flashed across the screen. You looked at the time - 2am. Way past Cap's bedtime.
"Hello?"
"(y/n)? Were you asleep?" He asked, worry immediately flooding his voice.
You rolled your eyes. "Yes."
"God, don't... don't lie to me, kid." He sighed. "Either way, you've got to come back to the compound, it's... Scott Lang. You remember the giant guy from Berlin? He's back, we're not really sure how. It might... It might be something."
You breathed out. "What?" You squeezed your eyes closed and breathed for a few seconds. "I'll be there, I've... fuck, I've got an assignment due tomorrow."
You could hear Steve smile at the absurd normalcy of what you had said. "Hey, let's mind our language. I'll get someone to send a letter to your professor to excuse you, I'm sending a quinjet to you now. Be ready."
"Sure thing, old man. See you soon."
"See ya, kid."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From there, things moved quickly. Too quickly. Your life descended into utter chaos from writing papers in college to time travel, other worlds, alien species and infinity stones. Natasha's death.
And then there was the snap. The second one. Bruce screamed in pains as rainbow colours flashed up his arm, a thousand little lightning strikes. Steve stood in front of you, protectively. If this explodes, we're all dead. You thought, rather pessimistically.
As Bruce finally gathered the strength to snap, you were almost shocked to see he survived. Everyone ran forward to check him, Tony cooling the nasty looking burns on his arm, neck and face.
"Clint, your phone." You spoke, but it was perhaps too quiet. "Clint! Answer your phone!" You shouted, getting everyone's attention. It was the first time you had spoken in a long time, never mind shouted.
It was Laura. Oh my god. It was Laura.
Scott looked out of the windows, admiring the birds. There were so many more birds. He spun around and laughed.
And that's when it hit. You weren't even sure what it was, but then you were falling through the air. Your surroundings were crumbling and it all happened so fast you couldn't even react. Steve grabbed a hold of your arm and drew you to their chest, protecting you as you tumbled.
As you collided, your mind swarmed with so many thoughts. What the hell had happened, and was Peter back?
The battle raged. You didn't even know if everyone was out of the rubble. The battlefield was the now ruins of the only real home you had ever known. You lined up with Cap, and the others. And stared down what you were almost certain would be your death.
As the alien army marched closer, Steve turned to you. "You should run, (y/n). You have your whole life ahead of you."
You smiled, almost sadly, at him. "Cap, I don't think there is a life after this." He sighed, knowing that it was no use. You had been raised better than to abandon your family, and he knew that it was his fault. He couldn't save you.
Suddenly, sorcerer circles opened behind you and the ones you had lost came pouring in. Including him.
Are you still a mind reader? A natural scene stealer. I've heard great things, Peter. But life was always easier on you, than it was on me.
There was little time for rejoice as the army advanced towards you.
"Avengers!" Steve called. "...assemble."
And with that, you were running. You watched as spider-man flitted in and out of the hordes, doing his bit. You ran towards him, and held no mercy for any rogue soldier who dared to come near you and him. The others protected him too, and you were glad of it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The battle was won but Tony was lost. You stared as Pepper cried by Tony's body, his eyes open, his body and face badly burned from the impact of the stones. There was a circle of Avengers around him. Just staring. No one knowing what to do, or say.
Peter. Your Peter. Collapsed into a heap near him, his emotions taking over. It was instinctual, the way you ran to him.
"Hey," You whispered, gathering him up into your arms. "I've got you. He's resting now. He saved us." You tried throwing every phrase people had ever thrown at you, at Peter. You knew it all meant nothing to him.
You looked down at his face, and horror crossed your face as you realised how much older than him you were now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve watched his youngest team members in the puddle on the ground, the kid who had given him a run for his money in Germany, and the girl he had raised these past few years. He watched as your heart broke, and Peter couldn't even see it. He knew exactly what was going though, watching the now 21-year-old you holding a still 16-year-old Peter.
As emergency services and the military started to pull into what used to be the Avengers Compound, he knew there had to be a co-ordinated effort to resolve the tragedies they had just witnessed.
He walked over to you both and whispered softly, "Come on, kids, there's work to be done."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And sometimes it gets me, when crossing your jetstream, We both did the best we could do underneath the same moon but in different galaxies.
"(y/n)." You didn't hear him say your name until that night. Well, the next morning, you suppose. You didn't even know what time it was.
Your face softened as you saw him. After the compound was destroyed, Clint was kind enough to bring you all to his house with Laura and the children, just until something more permanent was sorted out. It had been a couple of weeks now, and you had barely exchanged a word with anyone.
"Hi, Pete." You breathed out. He looked at your face, intently. Like he was searching for something he recognised, and couldn't find it. "How... how are you?"
"I'm alright. Um... yeah. Doing okay."
"Good, good." You hummed, sipping your cup of tea.
There was a moment of silence as the two of you looked out over the farm.
He cleared his throat. "(y/n), can we talk? I..." He faltered. "I miss you."
You looked at him, a little panicked, you'll admit. You didn't even know where to begin thinking about how to go about moving on with your relationship with Peter. You had been together for a year... but that was five years ago. That's not even considering that fact that he was still in high school and you were now of drinking age, at college. Shit, you still hadn't done that assignment.
"Peter, I..." His puppy eyes made your heart break. "I'm an adult now... it's been five years for me, and I... I changed a lot, in that time."
"Right, yeah." Tears swelled to his eyes. "You're right, yeah." You knew he was putting on a brave face.
"I'm sorry, Peter. For now, we have to go our separate ways, I think." Tears crashed down his cheeks, but he never broke eye contact with you. "I... I have to go back to college, and I won't see you for a while."
And I didn't want to hang around... We said it was just goodbye, for now

Ao3 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May 2023
Peter has known her for as long as he’s known anything.
Back before his parents died, they had been prominent members of the Oscorp Foundation. They worked directly with Norman, and so Peter grew up spending a lot of his time with Harry Osborn. Occasionally, though, there would be a collaboration between Oscorp and their largest competitor, Stark Industries. With S.I. came Tony Stark, and with Tony came his daughter.
She was about a year younger than him and Harry but she held her own just fine. She was smart as a whip and full of fire.
He’d been in love with her for longer than he knew what love was.
They had taken such a liking to each other that Tony made the effort to get them together as often as possible. Eventually, moving them to New York full-time after Peter’s parents died. Tony made an effort to keep up the relationship even then. He did it for his daughter; she’d become so attached to Peter. And he had done the same.
The sun rose and set with Y/N Stark as far as he was concerned.
The bond between them grew as they did. They became halves of the same whole. One rarely without the other. He held her when she sobbed, broken and exhausted, after spending the court-ordered time with her mother. She calmed his overloads after he was bit. They knew each other instinctually. Better than they knew themselves in some ways.
And yet, there was never anything romantic.
Until there was.
They both knew. When they’d grown old enough to understand what love, marriage, and dating were, they knew it was inevitable. That there was no Peter without y/n.
And that is a very daunting thing to face at such a young age.
And they understood that there would be no going back once they crossed that line.
They knew they would cross it eventually.
But they had all the time in the world to cross it. And now, when they were so perfect as friends, neither wanted to risk what they had.
And so they didn’t.
There was flirtation that couldn’t be helped. There were touches that toed the line between platonic and romantic, touches that lingered. Nights where they would fall asleep next to each other and wake up in a state where you couldn’t tell where one started and the other ended.
But it never went further.
Until it did
They were good kids, really. Good students, excelling in their studies, involving themselves in extracurriculars, making a difference in their community. They were good avengers as well. They weren’t officially on the team, certainly were never put in harms way. But Tony allowed them to patrol the city in the evenings, and to train with the team at the compound on the weekends. They excelled there too.
But everyone has times when they just need a break.
It happened the first time during one of those breaks
.
They had finished midterms, Natasha had been kicking their asses in training for the last month, they were tired.
And so they snuck into the hangar and hacked one of the jets. Because she could override her father’s protocols without even blinking. Spain. She had wanted to go to Spain. He’d remembered her talking about it, so he puts in the coordinates and settles in for the ride.
They’ve shared a room, a bed, countless times at this point and yet somehow this is different. Somehow this leads to their mouths on each other and their virginities lost to each other.
Things change after that.
It takes a while for them to get over it. To admit “I want you” and “I always have” and “I don’t want to wait anymore”. But once they do, once they allow those walls to be broken down they are inseparable.
The funniest thing about the whole ridiculous situation is their behaviour barely changes.
They simply kiss now. Because they already spent nights in the others bed, they already were always touching the other somehow, they already could read the others mind and anticipate their needs. So at school, no one noticed they were dating until Peter gave her a quick kiss before running off to some sort of internship activity.
Its been years now. They are perfect. Ideal. He loves her with everything in him.
And that’s why, when the invasion starts, he webs her to the bed so she can’t follow after him as he goes toward the battle.
Why he goes to the battle despite her screams, her begging, her pleading. Why his last words as he disintegrates in Tony’s arms, after pleading whispers of “I don’t want to go” are “I don’t want to leave her.”
He spends five years living a life with no memory of his previous one. No memory of her, of Tony, of Spiderman.
When the dust finally settles after that final battle, he’s the one screaming, begging pleading. Because his girl, his brilliant, beautiful, reckless girl, simply refused to let her father die.
She’s always had them. The powers, the enhancements, that were so graciously forced upon her by her mother.
She hated them, hated why she ended up with them. But they gave her the ability to save Tony’s life, despite it being at nearly at the cost of her own.
He’s held back, not sure by whom. He hears Steve yell for assistance to get them both off the battle field and to get them immediate medical assistance.
Her powers are…complicated.
Her ability to heal is incredible. Whether it be herself or others. But it comes at a cost.
Healing takes energy. She’s able to choose, when healing injuries, whether to use the injured person’s energy or her own. The severity of the wound would usually influence her decision.
She was comfortable using someone else’s energy for smaller things, scrapes, bruises, most of Peter’s injuries because of his own accelerated healing. But bigger things…she would use her own “Because I heal better” she would say.
Like after he’d taken the weight of a building their sophomore year, she’d used her own energy to heal that. He watched the colour drain from her face, watched slashes and bruises come and go across her skin, watched her exhaust herself right in front of him as the pain eased from his body.
After a fight like this neither had the energy to heal something as severe as this. But she did it anyway.
She does heal better. Quicker, more efficiently. It’s hard to leave any kind of mark on her because her body just rids itself of it.
So she lay in a hospital bed, half dead, as her body begins to repair what should be fatal.
Tony was exhausted, on the brink of death, he’d had nothing left to use up. She herself had been spent. So she took, and she gave. She gave what little energy she had left to Tony and took as much pain and damage from him as she could. Took as much as she could until her body gave out.
Tony woke later that night. Exhausted. Badly scarred. Weaker than Peter had ever seen him.
But alive.
Peter is sitting at her bedside now, holding her hand in his. Needing to feel that it’s warm, needing physical proof that she’s alive. He’s fading in and out of consciousness. Fighting sleep because he can’t risk something happening while he’s asleep. It would be a restless, nightmare filled sleep anyway.
“Tony, we shouldn’t be arguing about this; you’re exhausted; you need to rest. We can talk about this la-“ He can hear Steve’s voice in the next room.
“We’re talking about this now.” Tony responds.
Peter, even with his heightened senses, can barely hear him. He tries to tune them out, focusing instead on her heartbeat. A comforting, familiar sound that lulls him into a sense of security.
But the next words he hears make his blood run cold, and his head snap up.
“He’s my grandson. He’s likely scared. He can’t have his mother, so let me see him.” Tony sounds angry despite his severely weakened state.
“Tony…” Steve says gently. “Look at yourself. You’ll only scare him more. He’s my grandson too. Let me look after him.”
Peter takes a moment.
Grandson.
Tony has no biological children other than y/n. There is Harley…a boy Peter’s age that Tony had taken in when they were thirteen. They’d been fast friends. And…maybe Harley could have had a child in the five years Peter had been gone…except he’d been in the same place as Harley for the last five years, and there was no child.
So…so that must mean that y/n had…that she’d had a child.
Sometime in the last five years she’d moved on…gotten pregnant…had a baby? He shakes his head, his chest aches. His feet move before he’s fully aware of it. He walks into Tony’s room. He stands there silently, until Steve notices him.
“Peter.” He whispers, a sigh in his voice.
Peter laughs weakly, tears on his cheeks that have no right to be there. It had been five years, he had no right to have expected her to wait five years. “I um…” He clears his throat, sniffing. “I didn’t mean to eavesdrop…it’s just so quiet here.” He says quietly.
Kid ther-“ Tony starts but Peter holds up a hand.
“Don’t…don’t. It’s okay. You don’t need to defend…just…if there’s a way I can help? I could call his father, if someone hasn’t already or…or go pick up anything that he might need…or…or I can fuck off if you think that would be bett-“
“Peter.” Tony says as firmly as he’s capable of. Peter looks up. “Come sit. We need to talk.” He says, gentler now.
He’s four. His name is Ben. He’s with Happy. They won’t let him run to him. He’s four. His name is Ben. He’s with Happy. He can’t go to him. He’s four. His name is Ben. He’s safe with Happy. He’s safe. His name is Ben. He’s four. He’s Peter’s.
She had been pregnant.
It had been early.
So early that it had been months before she even realised. Half of the universe disappeared, Peter included.
And months later she had given birth to their son.
Their son.
Ben.

step-son! peter parker x step-dad!reader - okay so bear with me but ! alternate universe where peter parents never die, but his parents divorce so for a bit of time, while the divorce go thru and everything related to it get done, he goes and life with his aunt and uncle, but the regular events happen ( his uncle dying and him becoming spider-man ). and as soon as he get used to him being spider-man, he goes back to living with one of his parent and,
he learn that he has now, as step-dad (you) ! he isn't exactly super happy about it, but he doesn't hate you from the get-go. he just feels weird around you, he's too old to act like a kid and despite you for 'remplacing' his real parent but he's too young to just, totally ignore you. after all he still is in college and is staying at his parent house - not the dorm, he of course considered that but living at your parent house while being both a uni student and a super hero was better.
so he just, tries his best to no be too awkward around you, which is hard. he quickly admitted to himself that you were - really fucking attractive. the time he accidentally saw you shirtless while getting out of the bathroom rewired his brain, and may have caused him to jerk off multiple time the same day.
since that day, everything was just so much more awkward, whenever he saw you, his mind started to go astray and he could imagine what you looked like, down there, he could wonder about how you were in bed, first when fucking his parent - then him.
he obviously couldn't face you, when whenever he saw you, he started getting hard, so for two weeks straight, he avoided you as much as he could, ignoring you whenever you were in his close vicinity.
but at some point you are feed up with this, you didn't expect to have the best father-son relationship with, well, your step-son but still, your relationship was so awkward but when you thought you advanced and manage to get him to be more comfortable with you, he suddenly pull back and just, isn't interacting willing with you. so logically you decide to confront him.
one day when he gets home from class, you wait for him in the corridor and force him to sit in front of you at the dinner table, and you ask him why he's been like this.
at first, peter tell you he doesn't see what you are talking about, faking being confused, but after a bit he reluctantly admit the real reason as to why he was acting so distant. you laugh and tell him it's nothing to be ashamed of. that being turned on by your step father is not big deal, after all you aren't blood related.
and then you get a bit more bold, and ask him if he was currently a boner because of you, to which peter simply nod, you get up from your seat and tell him to follow you to the couch. he is a bit confused as to why but he follows you without asking question.
you sit down on the couch and pat the spot next to you, for him to seat. once peter is seated, you start palming his erection and your own, all the while telling him that jerking off together is a pretty normal bonding exercise, telling him that when you were his age you used to do it pretty often with your friends.
by that point, peter is just a blushing mess, and probably has already cam from your hand alone, his hand makes his way toward your pant, get under it and your boxer to fish your dick out of them, he shyly start to jerk you off

CONGRATS ON 100!! 🎉 i was wondering if you could do a blurb about peter being the cutest, caring dad and building his kids stuff or for his own lil family 🥹. i’m in desperate need of domestic peter!
Acts of Service
--genre + trope: FLUFF, sfw.
--pairing: dad!tasm!peter parker x pregnant!f!reader
--word count: 0.5k
--warnings: dad!peter is the cutest and i'm not okay about it.
The sunny afternoon cast warm rays of light into your apartment. Winter was just on the cusp, so soaking in the last remnants of fall was essential, especially with your second child on the way. You just finished making lunch for you and Peter. Your son, Lucas, was screaming all night about missing his Auntie May, so after a quick call, you dropped Lucas off to spend the day with her.
“Hey, Peter! Lunch is ready,” you yell down the hall. A second of silence passes, before you peer into the hallway, wondering why he hasn’t called back yet. Listening closer, you realize Peter has a jazz record on, the music lightly filling the rest of the apartment. You laugh to yourself as you make a plate for him, and walk towards the source of the music. The room he’s in is going to be your daughter’s.
You’re about 30 weeks, so preparing for her has been on the forefront of your mind. Even though you’re barely showing, Peter has been very aware of what decorating you’ve been doing in the new room. As you make your way to the doorframe, you can see that your husband is hunched over, building a new chair that you both will be spending lots of time in. After Lucas was born, you spent many sleepless nights rocking with him in a chair similar to the one that Peter was building. You didn’t know he bought a new one, the box revealing a picture of it.
Your sudden presence makes Peter turn around and face you at the door, his senses picking up on you. He stands up, carefully walking through the mess he’s made, greeting you with a kiss. Looking down at the plate, his eyebrows furrow, “Oh, honey. You didn’t need to bring this to me.”
“It’s alright,” you smile at him, taking a peek over his shoulder, “I was wondering what you were doing in here anyways.”
Looking behind him, he studies the mess, “Yeah…oh, um, surprise!” He uses his free hand to present the project as if you hadn’t seen it the second you walked into the room.
Walking further in the room, you look at the half finished chair, “And when did you get this?”
He comes up behind you, reaching down to take a bite of his lunch, he speaks up, words muffled by his food, “I ordered it a while ago. I knew you loved the last one, and the same company just released a new one, so it seemed like perfect timing.”
“Thank you, baby,” you turn to him, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him close.
Setting the plate on the dresser next to you, he wrapped both his arms around your waist and kissed the side of your head, “Of course, bug.”
For the rest of the afternoon you spend next to Peter’s side, watching him build the rest of the chair. Watching him work on projects was your favorite pastime, especially when he’s making something for your family. Peter carries so much love for you and the little family you and him have built together, and he can’t wait to see his little girl.
--author's note: im sorry this was so cute??? i need domestic peter so bad, sighhhhh. keep sending in requests!!! don't forget to support your writers by liking, commenting, and reblogging!! ok, bye ily<3

Heartbroken
Summary: Tony helps you through your first heartbreak.
Pairing: Dad!Tony Stark x Daughter!female!reader
Warnings: Fluff. Language cause why not. Reader is hurting. Tony is an angel. My poor attempts at being funny.
Word Count: 1.4K
A/N: I wanted some soft dad Tony and this came out. The end is a little rushed, I didn't know where I wanted it to go but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it!
Masterlist
You exited the elevator and made your way through the living room, not sparing anybody a second glance.
You went straight to your room and slammed the door behind you, leaving all of the avengers that were currently in the living room in a shocked silence.
That wasn’t like you.
You're a cheery and positive teenager that never misses a chance to hang out with your favorite group of superheroes.
Even during your bad days, you at least said hi and chat a bit before going to your room, so your behavior today as you came home from school leaves everyone worried.
They all know high school isn't easy, but it somehow never affected you much.
Maybe because you grew up in the spotlight, being a Stark.
You were the perfect combination of Pepper and Tony, smart and driven, sarcastic and confident, sweet and supportive. Really just a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life.
Everybody at Midtown High knows who you are and every student you meet gets surprised by how nice you are to anyone that approaches you, everyone expecting you to be a stuck up bitch.
You talk to and befriend anybody who’s nice to you, but you spend most of your time with Peter, Ned and MJ.
Speaking of which, while everybody stares at the door you just disappeared through, Peter enters the room through the window, a feat that not everyone is used to yet.
"Damn it, bug boy, stop doing that!" Sam almost yells, never failing to get startled by his abrupt entrances.
"Sorry, Mr. Falcon, sir." he says sheepishly while Bucky snickers like every other time, but before they can start bickering like always, Tony addresses Peter.
"What’s wrong with my daughter, Spider-ling?" he says in a serious tone, despite the nickname he can’t seem to get tired of.
"I don’t know, Mr. Stark. She was fine during lunch, but when school ended she was nowhere to be seen. We were suppose to meet at the exit like always but she rushed home alone. That’s why I’m here, I was worried." the more Peter talks the more Tony gets worried.
It wasn’t like you to not show up to do something you planned to do with someone else, let alone without giving a reason or at least a warning first.
Tony has heard enough so he gets up from his seat and walks towards your room, knocking twice, then once and then three times fast, a secret knock you came up with when you were little designed just for him.
He hears a faint ‘come in’ and, with furrowed eyebrows, he enters your room, finding you sitting on the bed hugging your knees to your chest.
Without saying a word he comes in, shuts the door and sits next to you, putting an arm around your shoulders. You shift to put your head in his chest and, when hug him as tightly as you can, Tony can actually feel his own heart breaking at the sight.
His little ray of sunshine, crying her heart and soul out and there's nothing more he can do but hold you. So he holds onto you just as tight as you are, willing himself not to let his own tears fall at seeing you so broken, needing to be strong for you.
After you calm down a bit, he can’t help himself as he asks "who do I have to kill?"
He feel a little better when he hears your little giggle against his chest, but he's still very worried and you both know he wasn’t entirely kidding.
He doesn’t rush you into talking, giving you time to put together your thoughts before starting to explain.
"I’ve been seeing someone..." you start, sitting up straight, sniffling, and he already doesn't like where this is going. "I’m sorry I haven’t said anything, mom knows though…"
"Of course she does." he mumbles, a little offended you would tell her and not him, and Tony Stark was never one to not voice his thoughts. "Why didn’t you tell me?" he was clearly hurt, pouting a bit just to amuse you. You giggle again as you answer.
"I’m sorry, but I know what you would’ve said: ‘You’re not allowed to date until you’re 65’" you try to imitate him with a deep voice that makes him chuckle.
"Damn right you can’t!" He says and you lighten up a little at his laughter and keep talking.
"I was going to introduce you soon, I swear! But then…" your smile falls and you can’t stop the few tears that escape. "Today, while I was waiting on Peter, I saw him…"
You trail off and he holds your hand giving you an encouraging squeeze but still not pushing you. Then, in the smallest voice he’d ever heard you use, you finish your sentence. "He was kissing another girl…"
He wished you hadn’t finished the sentence. You start crying again, quieter than before, but it still broke Tony’s heart.
"Oh, honey…" He wraps his arms around you again, mentally planning how to kill and dispose of the body of the little prick, when he hears you again, your voice barely a whisper.
"It hurts, dad… why does it hurt so much?" you still couldn’t stop crying, barely able to finish the sentence.
"I know, Tinkerbell." The use of your childhood nickname made you smile against the tears, the memory of how it came to be coming to the forefront of your mind.
You were about 6 years old, watching Peter Pan for the first time with your parents, when you started giggling uncontrollably.
Your parents gave you a funny look, expecting you to be sad at the part where Tinkerbell was dying and worried they were raising a little psychopath.
"What are you laughing at, Junior?" much to Pepper’s displeasure Tony had started calling you that, sustaining that you were turning out to be just like a little version of him.
Your mom disagreed, but was slowly changing her mind, especially after what little six year old you said next.
"Daddy’s just like Tinkerbell: if she doesn’t get attention he dies!" you got out between giggles, making Pepper almost double over laughing as Tony started a tickle attack, a fake offended look on his face.
After that your dad started calling you Tinkerbell, not able to let go of your first sarcastic comment, against him of all people, but secretly very proud.
You were brought back to the present by your dad’s words as he started rubbing your back.
"I know it hurts now, but it’s gonna get better, I promise. Your first heartbreak is never easy, but the good news is you have your whole life ahead of you to find a guy smart enough to understand how lucky he is to be loved by you and never let you go."
Now, Tony Stark is many things.
He’s a genius, billionaire, former playboy and philanthropist. He’s an entrepreneur, a superhero, a savior. He’s a role model, a caring friend and doting husband.
But, at this very moment, you can’t help but be proud to call him your father.
You wish you could tell him that at the moment, but you can’t find the voice to speak so you make a mental note to tell him later. Right now all you can do is hug him so tight you’re not entirely sure he’s able to breathe, but he doesn’t make any attempts to make you let go.
The next couple of hours are spent between hugs, words of encouragement and Tony trying everything he can to make you laugh.
When he succeeds in lifting your spirits, you both make your way to the living room where all of the Avengers are now, Pepper included. You sit next to her and she wraps her arm around you, having already been updated on the situation, of course.
Everyone else seemed to have come to a mutual understanding of not pressing the matter, knowing you’ll open up when you’re ready and not wanting to upset you again now that you’re back to your cheery self.
You’re glad nobody’s asking any questions, acting like nothing happened, exactly what you need right now.
You spend the rest of the day with your family, forgetting all about your broken heart, realizing you’re better off without him.
At one point your dad whispers to you "I still need the name of the little jerk, so I can fuck him up" and you can’t help but laugh, more glad than ever to be lucky enough to be a Stark.

Super Dad | Dad!Peter Imagine
Summary: Peter fell asleep working on the kids science homework.
Length: Short
Warnings: none, this is mostly fluff
A/N: Just another one of those quick imagines before I sleep.
They had come home with the assignment on Friday. They had exited the school and run straight into your arms all giggles and smiles, sheets of paper in their tiny hands, blowing in the late autumn breeze.
“What have you got there bug?” You asked as your youngest waved the piece of paper, too large for her hands, towards your face.
“It’s science week next week!” She squealed excited, little fists punching the air once you’d taken the piece of paper from her.
“Each grade has an assigned topic.” Your eldest added as she handed over her own assignment to you.
“Well, it looks like we are going to be having a very busy weekend.”
Anna, your youngest’s, project was a model solar system. Your older daughter, Maria, had to do a project on renewable energy. She insisted that she wanted to make a working water mill, but her Father (knowing he’d end up being the one to do most of, if not all of the work anyway) insisted she make a wind mill.
Safe to say Peter had been right. The girls gave up on their projects halfway through the Saturday and with a trip to Aunt May’s planned on Sunday afternoon, your Sunday night had been relegated to finishing off the girls projects, ready for the following morning.
You had put the girls to bed before returning to help finish painting the tiny paper mache planets for Anna’s solar system. You turned the TV on with the volume low, the sounds of Friends re-runs acting as background noise as you both did the work.
You couldn’t help but get fixated every now and again on your husband’s concentration face. The way he squinted his eyes and quirked his lip. Every now and again he’d lift his glasses slightly and survey his work. When he got the motor mechanism for the windmill working he looked so proud of himself and it made your chest swell.
“Right, that’s the last planet painted.” You announced as you placed the cocktail stick attached to it in a piece of foam to be left to dry.
You grabbed your mug and took a sip of your drink. When you placed it back down you realised just how covered in paint you had become as sticky paint finger prints covered the once white mug. “I think I’m gonna go take a bath and salvage what’s left of my weekend.” You announce as you get up.
“Huh?” Peter says as he suddenly pulls his focus away from the job at hand, now that you’re standing. “Uh, yeah, okay.” He quickly follows as his delay in processing your words finally catches up with itself.
You smile as you give him a pat on the shoulder. “Don’t be too much longer with that.” You say giving him a quick kiss before you leave the room.
You end up spending nearly an hour in the bath and then another half an hour after that pampering yourself with a full facial before climbing into your pyjamas and reading for a little bit. When it’s near midnight and Peter still hasn’t started making his way to bed, you reluctantly get yourself out from under the nice warm covers to look for him.
When you make it back out to the main area of your apartment his head is resting on his arm on the dining room table. Both projects are completed in front of him. They look perfect, your girls are going to be so happy when they see them.
“Hey.” You say softly as you shake him awake.
“Hnngggg.” He groans as he slowly rouses.
“Hey super dad.” You coo quietly to him.
“Hey.” He says back sleepily,
“You know, I think our bed is much more comfortable than the dining room table.” You say softly.
“But then who would protect my masterpieces.” He jokes.
“Come on Spider Boy, I think they’ll survive the night just being in our apartment.”
“You promise.” He continues to sleepily play along.
“I promise.” You say holding your pinky out to him and he lazily hooks it with his own. “Okay, come on.” You say helping him up and escorting him to bed.
The following morning there’s a squeal and a crash that makes the two of you race from your bed. When you get out to the dining table where your youngest now lies in a heap on the floor, surrounded by her project, rubbing at her knee, you know you’ve been too presumptuous.
“Survive the night, eh” you hear your husband mutter beside you before he’s bending down to attend to his little girl.
“Hey bug, what happened?” Peter says gently but you know from his tone of voice he’s trying with all his might not to be irritated by the fact his hard work last night has been damaged already.
“I went to grab it so I could look at it and I slipped.”
“It’s okay.” You say as you begin to pick up the pieces of the solar system to be put back together.
“Well, are you okay?” Peter checks in with her,
“Yeah, I just hit my knee.” She replies.
“Do you need Daddy to kiss it better?”
Peter feels you kick him in the side gently. He knows how much of an affect that word has on you and he fights to hold in his grin so he can keep tending to his daughter instead.
“No. It’s okay. I’ve got it.” She says before getting up to come and join you as you sit at the table and start glueing the planets back into place.
“Come on bug, how about some breakfast.” Peter encourages her towards the kitchen and away from you and the project before she does it any more harm.
When he brings you over a bowl of your favourite cereal moments later you hear him say, “Bet you’re wishing you’d left me to sleep on the dining room table to protect them now, eh?”
“Hey, I said they’d survive the night and they did.” You smile up at him. “Technically nothing happened to them until the morning, after the sun was up.” You wise crack back.
“Yeah?” He jokes,
“Yeah!” You sass back.
“Well I’m sure you would have felt differently if it was you who had done 80% of the work.”
“Hey, I painted the planets.” You reply with mock offence.
“Fine.” He concedes with a sigh. “75%.”
“Thank you very much.” You smile at him in response before there’s a cry of “Daaadd.” From the kitchen.
“That’s my queue.” He smiles.
“That’s your queue.” You smile back as he leans in for a kiss.
“Oh and don’t think I don’t remember you calling me super Dad last night.” You roll your eyes at his own ego, “I’m gonna be using that for a long time.”
“Yeah, yeah:” you say waving him off. But it’s true. Peter is a super dad and you couldn’t be more happy to have him forever by your side.

𝐀 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐬
Parings → Dad! Tom Holland x Mum! Reader
Warnings → baby crying
Summary → Your baby girl is learning to stand up on her own, but also it means a bit of danger.
As you sit at your desk, finishing up some last-minute work, you can't help but wonder how Tom is handling things at home. Amara’s been extra curious lately, always pulling herself up on anything she can find. Your phone buzzes with a message from Tom: “All good here, just a little chaos as usual 😉”, and you smile, imagining the adorable mess that’s probably happening.
Back at home, Tom is in the kitchen, quickly finishing up his meal prep, when he hears the soft grunts and squeals of Amara in the living room. He glances over and sees her determinedly pulling herself up using the bookshelf. “Look at you go, love,” he mumbles to himself, admiring her progress.
But then his stomach drops as he notices what her tiny fingers are reaching for—a large, fragile glass vase sitting at the edge of the shelf. It wobbles slightly as her hand grazes it, and Tom’s heart skips a beat. If it fell, it could hurt her badly.
“Amara, baby, don’t you dare,” Tom calls out in a firm, stern voice, moving toward her quickly.
Amara freezes, her tiny fingers hovering just inches from the vase. Her big, innocent eyes widen as she looks at her dad. His tone, firmer than usual, clearly startled her, and she drops down onto her bum with a soft thud.
The silence lasts for just a moment before her face crumples. Big tears roll down her cheeks, and she lets out a loud wail, her little chest heaving with sobs. Her pacifier falls from her mouth as she cries, her small body shaking with every breath.
Tom’s heart immediately aches, guilt washing over him. “Oh no, darling, I didn’t mean to scare you,” he rushes over, dropping to his knees beside her and scooping her into his arms. Her little hands reach for him, clinging tightly to his shirt as the sobs wrack through her.
He holds her close, rocking her gently. “Shh, it’s alright, love, you’re okay. Daddy just didn’t want you to get hurt.”
Amara’s cries continue for a few moments, her little hiccups making Tom’s chest tighten. He strokes her back softly, pressing kisses to the top of her head. “I’m sorry, love, Daddy’s sorry. I just got scared. I didn’t mean to raise my voice.”
Gradually, her sobs turn into small sniffles, her face tucked against his chest as she calms down in his embrace. Tom lets out a sigh of relief, still gently rocking her.
“There you go, sweetheart, all better now,” he whispers, pulling back just enough to look at her tear-streaked face. “No more playing with things that can hurt you, okay? Daddy’s heart can’t handle it.”
Amara sniffles again, her fingers still gripping his shirt, and Tom lets out a soft chuckle. He picks up the fallen pacifier and pops it back into her mouth, giving her a soft kiss on the forehead. “I love you so much, my brave little girl,” he murmurs.
As she settles down, leaning her head against his shoulder, Tom looks at the vase still perched on the shelf and makes a mental note to move anything fragile well out of her reach.

Their son. Ben.

Chapter Notes: First major canon divergence. Tony and Steve meet in early 2001 as Tony had taken over for Howard in SHIELD after his death. Let’s not think about it too hard. By the end of 2001 they are established in a relationship. And early 2002 they find out about the pregnancy. Reader is born in August of 2002.
It might be a bit annoying to have the reader be so flushed out as that can distract and make it harder to insert yourself into the story but…the timeline bro.
Word count: 1114
Chapter Content Warnings: Child neglect-Mentions of Howard Stark who is a bad dad. Reader's mother is very uninterested in the reader after the birth homophobia-Steve talks about being with a man in the 40s and it is lightly implied that it was not safe pregnancy-Tony gets a woman pregnant alcohol-Steve and Tony drink beer Stony-Steve and Tony are a couple
Chapter Summary: This chapter establishes the relationship between Tony and Steve and explains how the reader came to be. Reader is the product of a one night stand from Tony prior to becoming exclusive with Steve. Reader’s mother, Katherine, is a scientist working to recreate the super serum. She is described as cold and unattached.

Chapter 1
Tony really tried to hate Steve when they first met. Truly. For reasons he found completely justified.
His dad was an ass.
And as far as he was concerned, that was Steve’s fault.
It ended up being impossible to hate him though. Because he was just so damn nice.
Which made Tony irrationally angry.
Steve wasn’t all that impressed by Tony. He hadn’t been all that impressed with Howard either though.
He didn’t really have any particularly strong thoughts or emotions about Tony.
He was mostly baffled Howard had had a kid.
He never seemed like the type.
Regardless
They both had a strange pull toward the other.
Like the other was a connection to something long past.
Steve is someone who knew Tony’s father, who he had grown up hearing about.
Tony was Howard’s son. And though he was rarely on the same page as him, he had still been a friend. And Tony was the closest thing to something from home.
They somehow ended up as something akin to friends.
Neither were great at the whole sleeping, or self care in general, thing, so there were lots of late nights, lots of long talks, lots of secrets shared. They spoke of Tony’s dating life, Steve wanted to know just how similar Tony was to his father. And during one of those talks, after some light teasing about what Steve must have gotten up to back in the day, Steve admitted that he and Bucky had been in a relationship.
Tony wasn’t exactly surprised.
“So, you’re gay then?” He asks him. They are sat on the floor of Tony’s lab, a half eaten box of pizza between them, and beers in their hands.
“I’m not sure I’ve ever really needed to label it.” Steve admits. “I just knew Bucky was my person.” He shrugs.
Tony understands this at some level. The not needing a label, not the other thing.
“You don’t have to label it.” He says, possibly trying to put Steve at ease. “I never have. I just like…the people I like.” He says. “I’ve never committed myself to someone the way you have though.
Steve nods slowly and sips his drink. “Don’t you get lonely?”
This causes Tony to pause.
He’s never really alone. He never really allows himself to be. Like he needs a buffer between him and his head. There are plenty of people, both in and outside of his bed. He’s popular. He’s desired, wanted, sought after. He’s never lacking in people who want to give him their time.
He finishes off his drink.
“Yeah.” He says finally.
Things change between them after that night. Like there was a newfound understanding between them. Both were tired of being lonely.
It starts out as just sex. Which was new ground for Steve, and he struggled with it for a while. Until he realised that his struggles weren’t from it being casual sex, but that he was developing feelings for Tony and didn’t want it to be casual sex.
Steve had always been pretty straightforward, but he still struggled a lot with the thought of confessing. He wanted to keep Tony in his life and was worried he’d run at the mention of commitment.
But its been over a year since they met. And months since they started sleeping together.
So he just…tells him one night.
He lacked some elegance in it if he was honest with himself.
Blurting out “I want you to be my boyfriend” while you’re balls deep in someone isn’t exactly tactful.
But it worked out okay for him in the end.
The universe is a bit fucked up though.
Because just months later Tony comes to him with life altering news that neither of them had been prepared for.
And with that news Tony brought an out.
“You didn’t sign up for this.” Tony says quietly.
“No, but neither did you.” Steve responds. He’s never seen Tony so…sullen. So conflicted.
“I knew the risks of fucking someone without a condom.” Tony says bluntly. “This was always a possibility.” He lets out a breath. “I…I’m gonna step up. I’m gonna be this baby’s dad. But you don’t have to be.” He says quietly. “I’ll understand if you go.”
Steve lets out a breath and takes both of Tony’s hands. “I was in love with a man in the 40s. Tony, I gave up on the idea of having children before I was even old enough to consider them in the first place. They were never an option.” Tony goes a bit pale. “But that doesn’t mean I didn’t want them.” He continues. “I knew who I was getting involved with, Tony. And if having you means having this baby then I guess we’re going to be parents.”
And it’s as simple as that.
In August of that year their daughter was born.
Their daughter’s mother was someone Steve had never met, prior to going to the hospital when she went into labour. But he knew her name. He’d learned her name, read about her. Read about a lot of people like her when he had looked himself up. He learned that there were a distressing number of people trying to recreate Erskine’s original serum. This woman, Katherine, was one of them.
She was a tall, slender woman. Stereotypically beautiful but almost hollow looking. Like there was something missing inside of her.
He doesn’t remember her ever holding the baby. She hardly looked at her. Something told him she had no interest in being a mother but somehow went through with the pregnancy anyway.
But he didn’t dwell on it. He didn’t care.
Because if this precious, tiny, perfect baby girl wasn’t reason enough…the way Tony looked when he held his baby was enough to make him ignore the slight concern he felt over the way Katherine was responding to motherhood.
Tony was built to be a father.
He was so perfect with her. And Steve had never been so fond of another person.
All his outward, arrogant facade broke down the second he was with their girl. She had him wrapped around his finger.
And Steve was no better.
He knew he was in trouble the first time they’d ever made eye contact.
How could he ever say no to this tiny girl?
Katherine was clearly not interested in being a mother to her daughter. She made no fuss when Tony asked if the baby could live with him. She wasn’t breastfeeding, and the baby was clearly more attached to Tony. But despite their request, she wouldn’t sign over her parental rights. Therefore, physical custody was shared between Katherine and Tony.

I love it when you do that! Dad!Tony stark x daughter!reader
Summary: you're an actress filming a emotional scene, tony's used to this, Peter definitely isn't 🫤
Warnings: crying, emotional madness, little talk about your acting character dying, peter being a emotional wreck,
A/N: so I wanted to make a fic where Y/N is an actress and a emotional scene comes on and tony's used to it because he usually stays until the end of your shift, but he brings peter this time, and peter isn't used to this, so all the emotions come rushing in.
+•°+*°•++•°+*°•++•°+*°•++•°+*°•+
your cast had just finished a scene where they find a video on your laptop, your character is dead btw '-' they were all taking 5, when you saw your father on the phone, slightly hearing his conversation
"Well if your bored just come in........yes thats allowed why do you think im here?" You giggled slightly from his sudden frustration,
"Who was that?" You asked him smiling
"Just the kid," he said messing with something in his phone, looking nervous for some reason, you walked over to the burger king bag which was your lunch, and took out the half eaten burger, then noticed something weird, your 2nd burger was MISSING.
You snapped your head up, jaw agape looking at your father who had accepted defeat in shock, anger, disappointment, betrayal as he laughed at you peter walked in, he waved to you awkwardly, (haha classic peter) you waved back then continued to stare down your father.
"Why is my second burger M.I.A??" He only laughed as you hit him playfully, when you heard your director call you, you shouted
"One sec! That's my queue, gotta go, hold it together kid" you whispered that last bit, knowing what would come from it. 😈
+•°+*°•+
As gemma (other character) opened the laptop where you had made a video before your tragic death, you were now shooting said video, (here it comes be ready people!)
"Hey, so, some things are about to go down, and i just wanted to say that your gonna be okay, you'll heal, everything will be okay, I'll go knowing i was loved, and i just wanted you to know, that i love you, and it'll be okay, mm-k bye." Gemma was sobbing about this, (so was peter)
and when you heard a loud "CUT!" Everybody started clapping, this was the season finally, the air was filled with "yayy" and "whooo" and "lets goo" lots of that,
when you walked toward your father and your best friend your dad engulfed you in a big hug, while peter was boo-hoo crying over here 💀
When you pulled away from your father and turned to your best friend and saw his state, you immediately went in to comfort him, hugging him, him holding on as tight as possible, sobbing into your shoulder, you cackling at his sudden vulnerability
"OH MY GOD! ARE YOU OKAY!?" you said in between your laughter
"YeAh, i just reAlly love y0u" he said sadly, you rubbing his back to try and calm him down, after a few moments of you comforting him, and trying to hide your laughter, failing miserably 💀
"Are you okay?" You asked seriously this time,
"Yeah, yeah im okay" your dad was smiling and nodded hid head in direction of the main door. You cracking jokes and cracking that whole way home. Peter squeezed into the middle seat, in between you and your father, constantly getting hit by verbal crossfire.
