Maybe no one asked for this, but i hope someone will enjoy seeing a few bloomburrow-ified planeswalkers
Featuring Narset as a Magpie, Quintorius Kand as an elephant shrew, and Dack Fayden as a black footed (and red handed) ferret
If anyone’s curious about why I choose these animals, feel free to ask, but I don’t want to bog this post with too much text unsolicited 😅

10 Year Anniversary of Dack Fayden Comics Ending
On March 19, 2014, the final installment of the original Magic IDW comics came to a cliffhanger ending with Theros #5.
Magic had published Planeswalker-centric webcomics from 2008 to 2011 for free on their website, however the Dack comics starting in 2012 took a big swing: Attempt to establish an audience for a then-uncarded Planeswalker and tell stories visiting the concurrent expansion settings (Innistrad, Ravnica, Theros). All of this during a time of low story momentum and transition with novel lines ending, main story drought during Innistrad block, the slow beginnings of web fiction, and a shift to enovels in Return to Ravnica and Theros.
While Dack Fayden would prove popular enough and receive his debut Planeswalker card in Conspiracy, our final chance to see him alive again wouldn't be until five years later during War of the Spark. Dack's storyline with Ashiok on Theros had been resolved offscreen, he was cardless in the set proper, and his death was broadcast in the cinematic trailer before the novel even released. Can't win 'em all... or most of them for that matter.
Dack's adventures were far from Magic's first or last stab at entering the world of comics, but they'll always stand out as the fan-favorite version. Cheers to a decade!

still mad they killed Dack Fayden in War of the Spark because this could’ve been his goddamn time to shine. he could use his powers to absorb the abilities of the Sylex. maybe he could absorb abilities of particularly mechanical Phyrexians. the potential is there. wotc pls.

THE MAGIC PLANESWALKER ULTIMATE BRACKET, ROUND FOUR OF FOUR!
Kiora's gonna be quite busy this week, with this being one of her two bouts! Can the sadly deceased multiversal thief snatch victory from the octopus beak of defeat? You tell me!
Make your choice!

Fuck, 100%. I want to do unspeakable things with the Greatest Thief in the Multiverse™
What do you mean he’s dead? The War of the Spark novels aren’t real and can’t hurt me
whoops, reposting those since i accidentally set the poll timer to a day instead of a week
spin this wheel of every magic the gathering planeswalker (who have a card, and excluding noncanon and underage ones) and then choose:
rerolls allowed but only to get a character whose gender you're attracted to

I don’t love it but I’m still not over Dack Fayden dying
Has there been enough sets since the desparkening to get a sense of how players are reacting to the new average of one planeswalker per set?
How are you all feeling?

Ngl, really off my normal whatever, but the planeswalkers they choose to be compleated both make sense and make no sense.
They make sense because they are mostly characters that are old (in the sense of existing as cards) (ajani, jace, nissa), have story arcs mostly wrapped up (nahiri, tamiyo, vraska), were just background characters to begin with (tamiyo, nahiri, vraska), were villains originally (lukka, vraska, nahiri), or have a bunch of card versions (jace, nissa, vraska, ajani).
But they don’t make sense as most are some of the most popular characters in magic (jace, ajani, nissa) or have unfinished story arcs (jace, lukka).
I dunno, it just seems like they really went for shock factor more than anything else. Which made sense for Ajani and Tamiyo (who were one offs), but the for 5 picked for ONE are... eh.
#the rare leigh#i guess im just salty that nissa is compleated#her and chandra are my two favs#jace is the one that really makes me think that they will reverse it#he is the literal poster boy of magic#at least they are getting cards this time unlike poor Dack Fayden#makes me wonder who else will be getting a card in MOM tho#alongside Elspeth#Vivian and Tezzeret maybe?

Note
most smoochable planeswalker?
Choosing to interpret this as "Which Planeswalker would be most likely to accept a kiss from a stranger?" and the answer is easily Dack Fayden.
