So i finally watched It chapter 2...
DISCLAIMER: So I know most of y'all don't like anyone to critizise anything u like, right of the bat I am telling u I did NOT liked this movie at all, there are changes I thought were good ideas but most of it was just plain terrible in MY opinion and I need to vent. If u share my opinión or find my rage amusing read on.
.
.
I had been putting off watching this movie, cuz in 2017 I enjoyed the 1st IT movie but I had a TON of issues with it (Mike's complete erasure, Stan being a completely different character, The Losers Club moments being sacrificed to cool sounding one-liners, WTF happened to Henry Bowers and Alvin Marsh, Bev being overly sexualized, etc, etc) so I was on the fence about this one. The cast is what finally caught my attention but then I heard very mixed reviews about it, and as I am starting on a new job I hadn't had the time to go and watch it til now and oh boy was I disappointed.
First off, we have to ask ourselves was Adrian Melon's murder scene really that necessary??? I understand what they used it for in the movie (to make a R3ddi3 reference /as a side note I do not care for the ship or any other IT ship tbh i write it like this cuz i don't want this post to invade the ship tag) but the characters involved are never mentioned again and it was too gratuitous (like we can have a homophobic hate crime, slurs thrown around all the time but we can't have the gay ship this movie was going for saying they love each other in a straightforward manner??? I know this is an unpopular opinion but I am not giving Muschietti props for doing the gay closeted ship for the 1000th time, if u were gonna do it go for it!!! Do right by the characters, hell in the book they get more tenderness and they are never explicitly gay, Eddie is heavily coded as gay or asexual and Richie is super bisexual) like my queer ass is tired of seeing gay ppl die in violent gruesome ways all the time.
While I love Bill Skarsgard's performance, the excess of CGI and all those jumpscares and strobe lights, actually take away from his performance, he is super scary and eerie when he is talking and even being friendly but super hillarious and plain silly when he is actually trying to be scary or when he is eating, it looked too wierd.
TBH whyyy was Tom Rogan in this?? Muschietti had already changed Alvin Marsh from being physically violent to being a sexual predator (everything they changed from Bev took away from her character, like we can have her smoking and flirting w Mr Keene but we can't have her teaching Richie how to use his yo-yo or winning in a fucking video game or drawing or anything that remotely has to do with her character) why was Tom necessary?? Hell we could have skipped that and have Bev in Kay's house telling her all that happened instead, I mean if he wasn't gonna die in the sewer why is he even a character? It was so easy to erase him and have Kay instead. Also how tf did Alvin survive???
Whyyy do that to Audra??? I fucken hate Muschietti, was it necessary to justify Bill cheating on her??? Nope, we could have simply have Bill not kiss Beverly and that’s it, also I am kinda salty Audra is not part of the plot.
Lmao Henry, like he fell on the fucken pipe and you could hear his fucken bones breaking and craking and he gets to get up and walk home????????? Whyyy y y , Muschietti ????
We never really got to see how deeply ingrained Pennywise is in the town, he is actually Derry. And if Muschietti thinks he fixed the wtf ending everyone complained about in the 90's adaptation he is on fucken drugs, this ending is super messed up and has nothing to do with the book or with anything at all, we never get to know what exactly is Pennywise, his true form it's a clown spider apparently or something cuz the death lights were there but not really ???
STAN was fucken robbed (again) last time he was completely ereased, he was physically there on the scenes but that’s it, his personality was null. And his thing, the thing that made him comit suicide was the fact that he was the one to see the death lights, the most logical and disbelieving of them faced something far beyond anyone's comprehension and they gave that to Bev?? And the death lights apparently gave her Final Destination abilities? ?????
Eddie was robbed. Of so so much. Muschietti fuck you. Frist off why isn't Eddie the CEO of some app like Uber like he was the Losers Club compass he was a great fucking driver, he loved sports (I actually got excited when they had this scene with the baseball game cuz i thought it was gonna be an Eddie scene but nope) y not connect that with this Token bs Muschietti pulled off his ass (this is actually a great idea, and could symbolize the Losers' lost childhood IF Muschietti had been assed to give them significance or something in part 1) His death scene. Just why? Why are his last words a cheap joke instead of a love confession, fuck it Muschietti if u wanted R3ddi3 have the courage to really do it (in the books the Losers take turns to carry his body out of the sewer cuz they will not leave him there, that's more meaningful than them diving) One of his most beautiful quotes is something Bill is writing??? Lmaoooo Bill wishes he could have thought up that (I love Bill but come the fuck on)
Why make such a huge deal out of B3nv3rly or r3ddi3 when the point of it all was that the Losers Club all loved each other, apart from whatever romantic feelings, they found a family in one another and they really erased that in this movie, I was like y are this ppl friends with each other. Mike drugged Bill, Richie was awfull to everyone, they barely had a conversation in the restaurant (biihhh the 90s miniseries does this better) and show no respect for Mike at all ( I mean I am not surprised cuz Muschietti has no respect for Mike as a character at all) or bill like nah son.
Stephen King cameo was there I guess, it was fine.
The Kiss me fat boy, of all things u could have taken from the 90's miniseries why that?????
Ben building the house club by himself ???? Bullshit, Muschietti ereased another great Losers Club bonding time and hate him for it.
MIKE, I AM ENRAGED. So Muschietti is braver than King for making R3ddi3 "canon" but he destroyed Mike's entire character and that is fine with y'all mmmmm. His parents were "crackheads" apparently cuz it's not like that is a stereotype black ppl have carried on for years on end, he did not go to school, he was not the historian but now he is cuz he had to stay and he is crazy and obsesive and drugs Bill and also stole from a native american tribe???? FUCK this so fucken much I hate it with all my being .
How does such a choppy movie manage to drag on forever??? Like there were still 45 Min left and I was bored out of my mind. Why is the final arc so bad??? Like some much stuff that could have actually gotten away with erasing (Paul Bunyan, whyyy it was so silly, it doesn't even work in the book, but fine like King was super high he barely remembers writing it, why take it to the big screen u should have sticked to him being afraid of clowns like u had already messed up) and added and could have added things that actually enriched the adaptation.
I just give up. Like if they do a 3rd one like it's rumored I won't see it, Muschietti clearly does not know how to be subtle or to have meaningful character arcs, he is just good for cheap jumpscares, one líners and yo mama jokes so I pass. I really hoped the up coming King adaptations are better than this one. That being said the movie had real fun/enjoyable moments, if this were not an adaptation I would have liked it a hella lot more than I did but alas nope.
#it 2019#anti-it2019#stephen king's challenge#stephen king's it#negative review#mike defense squad is on i guess#stephen has not a good sense when it comes to his adaptations#he hated the shining for much the same flaws this movies have#dachi fangirly rants#dachi rambles

I love this quote, and if I might add, one from "Queen of the Damned" by Anne Rice.
"History is a litany of injustice, no one denies it. But when has a simple solution ever be anything but evil? Only in complexity do we find answers. Through complexity men struggle toward fairness; it is slow and clumsy, but it's the only way. Simplicity demands too great a sacrifice. It always has"
This is about a woman who though she could solven every single issue of violence if she killed all the man (including little boys and babies) in the world. Why does it sound familiar??
Because it's true, when people argue D freeing the slaves wasn't entirely good isn't a pro slavery argument (hell some of us are people of color who come from colonized countries and have experienced frist hand how 'well meaning white people' just fucked us over and exploited us to no end) u all are making a false equivalency. What we have been saying is her motives are not entirely altruistic, that she is ignorant and shows dislike and is condescending about every single aspect of the cultures she meets, she HATES to compromise and to actually work to restore and build a good society that will prevent the people she "freed" (no really this people are dying from sickness and are starving, she has no plans what's more, she only cares about Westeros, I will say she did try for a while, but she always felt 'defeated' by this, as if creating a better life for people that have been exploited from birth was a personal offence and a blunder to her real goal).
She cares only for easy contundent solutions, that's simplicity, that’s evil (it would be so easy to kill let's say every single criminal or drug lord so on so forth who tells u someone else won't take their place, would it be morally right?? Given that some criminals have found a way to redemption through education) . With her power she can easily declare the slaves free and feel good and mighty sacrifizing nothing and gaining more followers, but are they actually free when most of them have no education? No place to go or way of living? When she does not give any rights, garanties or institutes laws ? Excuse the fuck out of me but what right does she have to be queen of Mereen? If she were so good and altruistic she would have helped them instate their own government, and then she could have learned how to get things done, if she actually listened to anyone but herself or those who please her. Please there is people actually selling themselves back to slavery cuz it provides them more stability than her government, and the only thing she does is take a percentage of these sales (she is selling slaves ffs!!!).
Yes, she is young, then why does she think she can play with human lives to "practice" for when she is queen of Westeros, how is that right?? She is like all the Targaryen who think they knew so much better than everyone else and took power of a land they knew nothing about just cuz they felt like it, she has good intentions I'll give u that, but that does not mean her actions are good.
She is a colonizer cuz she is changing and instating her own culture (a mix of what little she knows about Westeros like taking hostages from noble families and having ser Barristan train boys for knighthood, and what she learned from the Dothraki , ruling through strenght) into another she knows nothing about, pretendíng to mix and blend with the culture (marrying Hizdar and opening the fighting pits, wearing the tokar) but despising everything about it cuz her eyes are already elsewhere, onto the next bigger price.
We say her freeing the Unsullied was hypocritical cuz they are still gonna be fighting and dying for her, just that she didn't have to pay for them (she totally intended to if she had the money, and she never thinks about her army or her handmaiden as real people, she never has the conversations or friendship she has w Missandei in the show, she uses Irri as a sexual toy, she thinks it's wierd and funny the idea of an Unsullied going to a brothel, cuz she does not care for them as individuals at all).
The thing that brothers me is that her story is clearly not about ending slavery (I mean a lot of things about the way GRRM writes PoC ENRAGE me but he has always been clear that D invading Mereen is not meant to be heroic cuz he compares it again and again to the Usa intervention in Vietnam, and cuz this issue is not meant to be seen in simplistic terms, is slavery good?? Hell to the fucking NO as the ritualistic sacrifices MY people made way back in the 1500 weren't right, they also had slaves and other tribes paid tributes to them so they would not invade their lands, like egyptians had slaves, like most African tribes took slaves from tribes they defeated... our cultures weren't all good and perfect but Europeans had no fucking right to come an kill our people, take control of our resources, and exploit our lands for years on end creating social divisions and things such as racism, making a total wreak of our countries to the point where most colonized countries are still empoverished because of the colonizers interventions, and if I or other fans of color have no right to dislike D and critizise her for actions all too familiar and hurtful for us so u can have ur feminist icon is fucked up, u can like her, have her be your favorite character ever, but WE have a right to dislike her and to discuss the wrongness of her actions in the fucken anti tag without having to deal with random ppl jumping down our throats) , that arc of her story is just so she can become restless and arrive to the conclusion she does at the end of ADWD "dragons plant no trees" that means she will burn it all to the ground if she can't fix it, and that is the D that will arrive to Westeros.
I really dislike how pro-Dany people paint everyone who criticises her actions in Essos as pro - slavery/racist whatever, take your pick.
Thank you very much, I am not. I am just anti-violence... Because violence looks like a quick solution but it rarely is. It only produces more problems.
And it is not that I can't understand the temptation. Wouldn't it be nice if we could people make doing the right thing? By 'introducing' them to the real threat of our dragons? If we could make them see? If we could make the world a better place?
To quote JRRT :
When Frodo offers Galadriel the Ring, she declines. Sam is disappointed. "You would put things right," he tells her.
"Yes, I would. So it would begin. But it would not stop with that, alas!"
But it would not stop with that.
Still one of the best things ever said about people with too much power. About the temptation to use this power to put things right.
#anti-daenerys#welp look at that another fucking rant#i think d is incredibly intresting as a character#and i do feel sorry for her in a lot of chapters#but i dislike her cuz she is really a bad ruler#she is petty and arrogant#and i feel a lot more for the poor Mereenese and astapori having to deal with her bs rulership#and i won't apologize for it#cuz they are my feelings#about things that to this day affect me and most ppl of color#dachi fangirly rants

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3 Pt. 2
WARNINGS: SPOILERS (obvs); not a Khaliiiisi fan; Jonsa shipper so I might talk about it.
————–
4.- Euron Sparrow (I feel like I should add Captain somewhere) makes his heroic entrance in KL, and I find this kinda intresting, Hot Pie told Arya it was Cersei the one who blew the Great Sept of Baelor like it was common knowledge, but like how do people in Westeros know this stuff? news travel by ravens, and merchants and soldiers perharps but common people don’t know the High Lords and Ladies motivations and information has a way to get twisted (the best example I can think of is Season 5’ s troupe from Braavos, they told the story of Joffrey’s ascention and his death in a very pro-Lannister light) so I’m really interested in knowing just what did Cersei said about the whole affair. I mean people’s reaction to Ellaria and co. is pure entreteinment for them, they have no real beef with them but still interested in all this stuff.
We have Cersei herself sitting on the fugliest chair of the 7 realms (aka the IT) while Euron gallops into the throne room (like Euron can you be a lil’ less extra??) and presents her with her gift while shading the fuck outta Jaime, anyway Euron wants to put a date to their wedding but Cersei is having none of that until the war is over.
Euron still is looking for a fight with Jaime, and says he hopes the can have a bro talk about just how kinky is Cersei in bed (LMAO Euron is awful but he makes me laugh a lot).
Now we have Cersei in the dungeons with a very bright pink lipstick on (where do you even get that stuff???) and talks about Oberyn vs. The Mountain, she is just taunting Ellaria and has a very emotional moment while talking about Myrcella (Lena Headley is a hell of an actress, as much as I hate Cersei I don’t want her to die if only to keep enjoying her brilliant performance)
Then she kisses Tyene and reveals Qyburn managed to find out the poison Ellaria used with her daughter and her revenge would be forcing her to see Tyene die, and then wipes away the poison-pink lipstick and drinks the antidote like a total badass (RIP bad pussy).
So getting revenge turns her on and she goes to kiss Jaime and gives him head (like wow there has been a lot of oral this season), they end up on bed, and one of Cersei’s maids knocks, Jaime is like oh no, nobody must know!! And she’s like I’m queen so I can do whatever the fuck I want (no, that’s not how it works, that’s what got your monster of a son killed dumbass) anyway it seems short hair is lit now (cool cuz I got short hair too) and doesn’t say anything about literal incest in front of her (very wise dear).
Now apparently Cersei has a visitor from the Iron Bank (remember they are hella broke thanks to Robert?) and she has to deal with it, to be fair Cersei is a hell of a negociator, she manages to convince the emmisary to give her 15 days to pay her debts and trash talks D once again (the fuck bitch me too).
(round here I get confused about the order of the scenes but I’ll try)
5.- So Theon is found by a surviving ship and the Captain treats him like dirt for not fighting for Yara, and pls leave my son alone.
I have nothing much to add really was a pretty short scene and I hope to see more of Theon next episode.
6.- Back in Dragon Stone we have Jon talking with Tyrion, he says he was wrong to have come and wants to go back home (OMG my poor baby) cuz it’s clear D has no intention to help him, Tyrion tells him to cut her some slack (I mean I kinda agree it’s not easy to believe and fight with a dude you just met but then again she was very rude and antagonistic) and goes around telling him about all the good stuff D has done (k I get his point, but were you there to see the conquest of Meeren and Astapor Tyrion?? No, you got there when shit hit the fan due to Danisss incompetence as a ruler, so I fail to see how someone as clever and analytical would make such blind statements unless that someone is in love) Jon agrees reluctantly.
7.- Winterfell!!! At last!!! So we see Sansa talking with Lord Royce, LF and the Maester about the resources they have for Winter, and she is Walking around the castle looking over the preparations and making questions and very good suggestions every now and then.
Seeing this scene struck me this is the first time we see someone actually ruling, allow me to explain: the first 2 shots we get of D and Cersei are of them sitting on their thrones but doing nothing but serve themselves (D with trying to force Jon to bend the knee and Cersei with her revenge) now of course they’re preparing for war against each other, who gives a fuck about food or warm clothes in winter amirite Ladies? Well, A GOOD RULER that’s who, Sansa is still Lady Sansa she does not parade titles around nor she sits her ass on the court room and calls it a day or calls herself Queen, yet she is the only one who acts like one. If she doesn’t know something she immediatly asks, she seeks solutions and acts quickly, that suggestion about adding leather to the armors was a little detail but so huge because she doesn’t only care about the armor being strong but also that it keeps her people as warm and comfortable as possible, and Imma cry because it’s such a huge difference from other selfish rulers we’ve seen in the series.
Anyway, LF starts by saying ruling suites her well (dammit the first time he and I agree with something) but says she is too focused on the WW thing, she answers that they should (thank god at least someone believes in Jon) he warns about Cersei and honestly is hillarious because she knows bih!!! And she tells him as much, honestly Sansa is getting more savage in her responses to Baeless what a time to be alive!!!! Littlecreeper then proceeds to talk like a fortune-cookie, I tried to make sense of it, but still confused he tells her not to fight battles anywhere but her mind ( k I think he means being analytical and politicaly savvy, not rushing into conflicts everywhere) also that her friends are enemies and enemies are friends (bottomline I think it’s trust no one cuz alliances shift a lot in time of war, or at least that’s what I think it means) and that she will she things she has seen before (ummm so like people are predictable and she only has to observe and she’ll realize she knows what kind of people they are and thus predict/guess what they’ll do because she has already dealt with that, or is he talking about parallels or what??? Idk why is he so cryptic now???) it mattered not cuz Sansa gets called to the gate, and…
Bran!!! He is back!! And Oh my god Sophie Turner’s performance is A+ her expressions are beautiful and really made me cry, Bran is very changed tho, and I see he is getting a lot of hate but why? He is clearly dealing with a lot of difficult stuff, he IS the Three Eyed Raven now, seeing past/present/future must be hard on his psyche and the threat of the WW is overwhealming so stop pls.
They are under the weirdwood tree, Sansa looks adorable sitting in the snow and hugging her knees to her chest, and she just about kills me when she says “I wish Jon was here’ now of course I know she says so because she wishes Jon could share the hapiness and relief of having their little brother back but still (my shipper heart) and immediatly says WF is his (honestly Imma say this now, fuck the people who called her a power hungry bitch, you don’t like her or find her boring? Fine we all are allowed to have characters we like and dislike, but the blantant misogynistic hate Sansa’s been getting since day one has been overwhelming, fans of her get called delusional and anti-feminists for supporting an embodiment of the patriarchy and other willful misinterpretations of her character and I’m glad D&D have shown she is not what the fandom’s been acussing her of) putting the final nail on the Starkbowl coffin. Bran reject his title as Lord because he is the TER, and Sansa, the girl whose only contact with magic/supernatural stuff has been through what Jon told her, immediatly belives what her little brother says and not only that she asks him to explain what does it means because she wants to understand him (and OMG what a concept actually listening to people!!!) now I understand why every actor on the Stark fam wanted Sansa on the IT or Winterfell, she is an amazing ruler.
Bran triggers her ptsd talking about what Ramsey did to her, and she very graciously excuses herself, while Bran stays back to get some work on the NK business. I think this was a way to make her stop asking questions and kind of showing what his powers are about? But I’m not sure.
——-
Again too long, so a part 3 is necessary for the final parts of the ep.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3 Pt. 1
I actually have the time to write this so here I go.
WARNINGS: SPOIIIiLERS; not a D@€nerys fan so y'all know I’ll be actually critical about her actions; JonSa shipper so of course I have a little bias.
-------------
1.- We start at Dragonstone, where Jon Snow and Dadvos are just arriving, the welcome comitee looks pleasant enough (if you don’t mind the Dothrakis and the Unsullied intimidating you that is) Tyrion and Jon immediatly take quips at each other and are buddy-buddy, Missandei says it’s so cool they’re taking so much trouble for Quiin D’s sake (LMAO not everyone is in Love with her like y'all honey, it’s not even for her but whatever helps you both sleep at night) and asks them to leave their weapons.
Right, so I would say she ask them this as a trust act and stuff, and it would be so if they were on a neutral spot and she went unarmed (without Dragons and guards) but it’s NOT really what FUCKING difference does it make if Jon has Longclaw??? He didn’t bring a frigging army and he sure as hell can’t fight them all (specially the magical fire lizards) so why??? Well this is the first of many acts of petty dominance on Dane-ñys part we’ll see this episode.
They even take the motherfucking boat (who is looking threatening now?) and Jon makes this face like he regreats his moronic decision of leaving WF
All those steps tho!!! (Stannis must have been real fit guys) So Dadvos tries to test the waters and asks something about her homeland to Missandei, she is polite but clearly distant and Dadvos whispers to Jon things have surely changed in DS.
Tyrion asks about Sansa (not Lady Sansa or your sister, hmmmm???) Jon says she is well, and that would have been a pretty normal conversation if not for the fact that Tyrion chooses to make a joke asking if Sansa has missed him, and guys believe me I tried to take off my shipper googles for tonight’s episode but holy fuck!! Jon looks like he wants to punch Tyrion, and he gets so nervous and uncomfortable he all but blurts that their marriage was a sham and unconsummated, Jon snaps that he didn’t ask.
I don’t know y'all but if someone talked to me about my big brother’s sex life I would be like ewww and make a cringey face, because I don’t give a damn, but Jon’s reactions are wierd he gets angry, also why talk about a sexual part of Sansa’s life everytime Jon meets her past suitors?? I mean we could argue that Jon meeting Tyrion again was inevitable, as well as seeing Theon next ep (cuz they are both with the D) or even the Hound because he and the Bannerless Brotherhood are heading North to fight with the WW… But what about LF? Jon was about to leave, he had no need to know about LF’s intentions and that threat in Hulk mode was just too innecesary as was Tyrion’s comment, or the Joffrey thing back on 7x01??? I don’t wanna be overly optimistic but things are still looking good for J/S.
Yeah so we have a Danonino is petty again moment by sending her Dragons to scare Jon, and OK I really like Missandei (I Love seeing girls who once were abused be confident and empowered, and I Love lenguages as well and it’s so cool she speaks so many!!) but her pleased holier than thou expression pissed me off, you don’t do that to guests miss! It’s rude and totally uncalled for to do this to someone that has been nothing but accomodating and polite.
Also I have another issue here, Missandei was crucial to Danita’s conquest of Meeren and Astapor because she was her translator, she understood how things moved there (masters and slaves) and she was loyal to D unconditionaly, but why bring her to Westeros??? She doesn’t need a translator anymore and just like Danonino Missandei doesn’t know squat about westerosi politics… Wild idea, but wouldn’t it have been better and a hella lot more meaningful if Missandei had stayed as Lady Regent in Mereen (I mean a girl raised as a slave leading people like her, it makes sense to me) but I guess D needed a cool break up gift for Daario.
2.-Melissandre is watching them from a Cliff, and Varys is like if you say they so great why didn’t you greet them?? She is vague af but basically says she and Team Snow are not so cool with each other because she made a mistake (that’s how we calling sweet Shireen’s awfull murder?? Fuck you red woman) and says she is gonna go to Volantis to chill before the war, and Varys is like good and don’t ever come back you trick ass bih, but Meli is like y'all need me and my destiny is to die in this foreing land… Like you (is it me or does this remind y'all of Danss threat last ep??)
3.-They finally reach the castle, Jon is kind of adorable cuz he is so uncomfortable and fidgety, and Danee is petty again, sitting on yet another fugly throne (Aegon honey I know you were all about conquering but you have a hella lot of obsidian lying around and it would have made an awesome and elegant throne instead of that thing you have there) and Missandei annoys me once again by proudly parroting every goddamn title of Dañy, and she looks ridiculous once Davos humbly introduces Jon (I actually laughed because it’s more aparent than ever to me that all their parallels were to make'em foils of each other).
Jon and Davos say she could take KL very easily and that if she hasn’t done so yet it’s because, and I quote’ “You’re better than Cersei at the very least” I mean you’re not exactly wrong Jon, but like Tyrion was the one to say ‘Hey how about we don’t kill anyone pls’ so there’s that.
Jon proves once again he is a hella lot more polite and grown up than her adressing her as Your Grace and Daññy is a petty toddler calling him Lord Snow, but my Dadvos is having none of that shit and he corrects her which leads to D@€-D@€ to prove her ignorance once again saying the last KitN bent the knee to grand pops Aegon in exchange of his and the rest of the northerns lives (yes honey and you think that was good or fair? Using violence to get your way?) and that it was for everzzzz cuz even though my shitty ancestors bullied everyone to give up their claims to them they became super best friends and had eternal perfect peace (I read World of I&F and her history knowledge is biased or plain shitty, I mean Targaryens were awful and had massive weapons of destruction nobody was going against them for fear not loyalty you entitled brat!!) so kneel!! And he was like LOL no, your crazy dad burned my grandad and my uncle if anything your family broke the alliance, and we have a D is a big fat hypocrite moment when she asks Jon not to condemn her for her father’s sins, Jon is not impressed and retorts that then he can’t be held to his ancestor’s promise (I’m so proud of my son) and LMAO she gets sooooo angry and snaps that why did he came here if not to postrate his unworthy self before her (cuz she believes everything is about her it seems) Jon proceeds to explain the threat of the WW (ily Jon but you need to explain things better) Tyrion and D are reasonably disbelieving (I would have expected them have more of an open mind, I mean they have motherfucking Dragons ffs!! But I can understand an army of the dead sounds pretty crazy to be fair) and we get the summary of Danee’s arc and how she got this far by believing in herself (I’m more inclined to say it was the Dragons and sheer luck in having powerful resourceful advisors coming to you but ok).
Now I know I said I Love girls who empower themselves after being abused, so how come I dislike D@ne so if she is exactly that? Well I didn’t at first, I loved her and was rooting so hard for her 'till she decided that she was better than everyone else and became a conqueror and entitled to a boot, not a breaker of chains. She took the Unsullied for herself because she didn’t want the Dothrakis to pilliage and rape their way through Astapor, good! But why the need to take Astapor and then Mereen? If she were a hero (which I don’t think she is) she would have liberated the slaves without declaring herself ruler, she would have let them decide who they wanted to rule among themselves and would have helped them to come up with a new government, forming a friendly alliance maybe then they even would have helped her in her quest to go back to Westeros, instead of violently taking the power (and no I’m not defending the masters at all, but I do think the mereenese people deserved to have a say in how they wanted to be ruled now that they were free) Since I was little I was taught the spanish took my country with fire and blood, weapons my people couldn’t defend themselves against, they took away their culture, religion and their names. They were forced to work with no pay, murdered, raped (our last tlatoani/leader/king Cuahutemoc got his feet burned when the spanish were interrogating him about aztec gold) and tortured for 300 years, and in my 6yo heart I hated it, of course I don’t hate nor recent the Spanish people for their (and also mine because I have spanish blood as well as aztec and egyptian) ancestor’s deeds, but I hated that people thought they were better than other people, and that they felt entitled to take lands that were not theirs, I hated to imagine the suffering of my people, I hated to know we could never fully understand all the amazing culture and knowledge the mesoamerican cultures had because they decided their way was better and burned or buried most of it, and D@€ny reminds me of all that, and it doesn’t let me enjoy her even as a Villian or Fallen Hero.
(excuse my rant and feel totally free to ignore it)
Dadvos just can’t with her bullshit and he says Jon has done a lot of similar things but without Dragons. Honestly the best way to explain it is with the 'but did you die?’ gif, and supports Jon’s testimony about the WW.
And D@€ny is like yeah but the throne is MINE and if you don’t agree you are against me (lovely way to make more enemies, yup be antagonistic pls) Jon loses it and says she and all the Lords and Ladies of Westeros are FUCKING children fighting for a chair when a real threat is just around the corner and they aren’t going to care who is the rightful anything.
She is so ofended its hillarious xD, she asks Tyrion what she is supposed to do since he refuses to acknowledge her as Qinn of the 7 realms, and he called her a child (well Dañy what did you expect when you have only acted as such?) and Tyrion is like well he said we were ALL children tbh in a very non-commital way.
Jon and Davos are dismissed, and my baby asks if he is her priosioner, 'not yet’ she says, and hold me because Imma knock some sense into her.

Tis too long, I’ll continue in part 2.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3 Recap Pt. 3
WARNINGS: SPOILERS; NOT a d@€ny fan so you know; jonsa shipper so I could mention them from time to time.
—————–
8.- Back on DS, D is disscusing Jon with Tyrion, him being a good bro, asks D to let Jon take some dragonglass (aka obsidian) to fight against his imaginary enemies (honestly I understand Tyrion’s gam here but D’s better than you attitude annoys me, girl think a little why would he even be here enduring rudeness and petty threats if not for a good cause) and she didn’t even know her castle were she was born was built a top an obsidian mountain (imagine knowing so little about the land you want to rule) and Tyrion uses that to convince he to let him take some, she agrees and we get into battle stuff, first Imma need no more close-ups on that table-map, like I can help but remember Mely-Stannis sexy time and feel disgusted (have they disinfected it yet?) Then we get this explanation about how Tywin built CR (hmmm say that to Joanna Lannister hon) and Tyrion being the family’s outcast got the sewers as his responsability, and that no one has ever taken the rock, but he made a secret passage to smuggle his lady-friends to the castle, we get a shot of Unsullied climbing the walls (and being murdered) while another group led by GW enters Tyrion secret passage, the Unsullied make a quick work of takin the Lannister’s seat, too quick GW realized too damn late cuz Euron already wreacked their ships and the real Lannister army wasn’t even there. You got player son!
Real talk, is Ed Sheeran’s character dead?? Hope not he was a nice guy.
9.- We find that the Lannister’s weren’t home cuz they were taking over Highgarden (honestly I was really excited about seeing the Tyrell’s beautiful castle but we didn’t get any nice shot of it and now I’m dissappointed) taking one from King Robb’s book, Jaime not only left those fools to take CR but made it impossible for them to keep it because he emptied the cellar, and Euron destroyed their fleet, so now the Unsullied have to make the walk of same to Dragonstone (but it’s an island???) and he tells Ollena his plan, she is like well fuck it how you gonna do it? He pours her a cup of wine, and tells her all the gruesome shit Cersei wanted to do, but then he says he talked her out of it and drops the contents of a little poison bottle on her cup, she Then asks if it’s gonna hurt, no he says, she the proceeds to tell him she would hate to die like Joffrey and confeses it was her that murdered him and to tell Cersei so.
Dying with her middle finger up is such an Olenna thing to do.
(I know the episode ends there but I just don’t remember where this scenes goes so Imma put them here)
10.- Back on the Citadel, Maester Slughorn (Imma call him that forever) is examining Jorah who is like well dunno I just magically got cures even if he has most of the skin on his torso ripped? Like bless his soul but Archmaester is not believing none of that shit and says he and Sam will talk later.
Jorah and Sam part ways, and I would say I look forward to their reunion if Jorah was less obssessed with D cuz she is gonna go crazy, and if the spoilers are accurate she will burn Sam's family, so I think it would not be such a good thing.
Sam talks with Archmaester, who in a very Dumbledore fashion says how stupid and brave Sam was, and how proud he is of him *Imma cry again* but still he must be punished and keep on his menial tasks.
11.- Jon goes up to D, she allows him to extract the Dragonglass and even offers help in the manufacturing of the weapons (y'know I would actually be praising this decision if not for the fact that she thinks he is delusional but she is now losing and can’t afford to have more enemies) still I’m somewhat relieved that they have means to fight the WW) he thanks her and asks if she believes him know, she doesn’t answer in a straightforward way and he leaves. she turns around and looks at him.
So I’m a multishipper (it’s in my blog’s title!) and I’m hardly ever closed off to any ship, I try to see things from the shippers POV and eventualy I end up shipping or understanding why they do, that being said, I totally expect boat bang to happen (I don’t like it but better be prepared than dissappointed) so I took of my Jonsa googles and read a shit ton of Jundarys meta (btw there is so little fanfic for such a popular ship) and tried to put aside my dislike towards D to look for any romantic clues and chemistry, but for the life of me I couldn’t find any, one could argue they are just meeting and yes you right but every on-screen game of thrones ship has at least some kind of chemistry maybe not sexual at the beginning but y'know normal acting one (Robb/Talisa those stares, Ned/Catelyn, Jaime/Brienne, Jaime/Cersei, and of course my faves Jon/Sansa) but Em*l*a and K*t doesn’t, it seems forced (I have nothing against E but her acting is not great) so idk??? But let’s see.
That’s it til next week.
