Anyway I am very close to the endgame with Ezra, but now it's me thinking about Handers courtesy of "the best combo I ever had for Here Lies The Abyss" aka Mage Hawke, Anders Friendmance, Warden Carver, Cas Hawke Edition

but first:

all inquisitors look very good in this lightning but ezra especially. congrats dorian, you bagged a hot one. and he has like, good morals and stuff. and he's gonna be so proud of you when you go back to tevinter to fix it.

Nightmare: Anders is going to die, just like your family, and everyone you ever cared about.

Usually with other Hawkes it's very OUCH but also kind of easy to brush off, but here Hawke is objectively screwed because both his husband and his brother are Grey Wardens. Like unless the HoF found a cure in time, by the time Veilguard rolls around Anders and Carver might have already be going through the Calling and Hawke is going down the Deep Roads with them. Hawke's story is generally bittersweet but Cas is just, Doomed By The Narrative since the day he walked into Anders' clinic in Darktown.

Hawke: To protect innocent mages, not madmen drunk on blood magic!

Fun fact, I made this Hawke specifically to be tragic and doomed because the original plan was for him to be a self-loathing mage who would Rivalmance Anders and then side with the Templars.

My idea was that when he was little Bethany was seriously ill and in his kid mind he thought she was going to die and he almost made a demon pact to save his sister but Malcom got to him first. But like, he'll always remember how close he got to just losing it all.

So he started Act 1 young, full of anger and resentment and approving of mages being kept under control because he doesn't even trust himself, let alone others.

...then Anders happened and by Act 2 he had gotten over all of that and if there was ONE person Anders had won over with his manifestos and speeches and whatnot, it was Hawke. When Anders wrote his manifesto, Hawke would make him tea and snacks.

When I played DA2 gay marriage was still allegedly illegal in Thedas and yet Hawke would call Anders his husband.

So yeah, see him here take up the mage cause because it's the right thing to do...it means a lot. He grew so much.

Hawke: The Wardens have gone mad. Or maybe they always were. Someone has to stop them.

Also now Hawke has this bizarre... Grey Warden-in-Law thing going on?

Like first, the Wardens get Malcom and all this mess with Corypheus happens.

Then the Wardens get Anders and they fuck up so badly he run away to Kirkwall while fused with a spirit. They even took his cat.

Then the Wardens get Carver and Carver is happy, but it's not like Hawke is going to forget that they took his brother away from him and that Carver had to run away from the Wardens just to come help him during the fight at Kirkwall. He's also pissed off because what if Carver had fallen under Corypheus influence? What then?

Hawke: A Warden must help them rebuild! That's your job!

Also I still hate Suddenly!Suicidal!Hawke because it makes no sense for like 99% of anything but it's waaaay different if in this moment Hawke is panicking because what about Carver. He can take care of Anders, but Carver is a Warden and he needs a good commander.

Okay Carver is a Warden and a warrior and has been his own person for like six years now, but he's Hawke little brother.

Red Hawke is bossy indeed.

And thanks to this amazing combo it makes more sense now that Hawke would go to Adamant to help. He's not gonna help shit, but he needs to see what is going to happen to Carver AND he needs to make sure things are fine so both his brother and Anders are safe.

-PRICE: the price is calculated on the hours of work I put on it, and it already includes ALL taxes. (45 % of the amount goes up in taxes, my dudes). It is based on the amount of characters, details and background you ask for. The more complicated it is, the more time it takes, the more it costs. Please explain in your email what you would like and your budget and we will come up with a suitable price for both of us! Animations and comic strips need to be discussed as their price depends on the style chosen. Don’t worry if your budget is not much: just let me know and we can surely squeeze a drawing in there :)

-WHAT I NEED: photo references and information on what you want, the more the better. They don’t have to be super accurate! You can send ten photos and say: “I want this dress with this character with this other background etc.” You don’t know what you want? no problem! we can chat and discuss it!

-WHAT I WILL DRAW: I am comfortable drawing nsfw, most kinks, and animals of all kind, real and fantasy alike. I also draw every ship, so don’t be shy in asking! I won’t draw underage nsfw, non-con or dub-con, domestic violence etc. If you’re not sure, ask!

-WHAT FANDOMS? All of them. Just provide references and I’m good. Also, I’m a huge nerd, so there’s a 90% chance that I already know what you’re talking about. I draw OCs too!

-HOW TO PAY: via Bank transfer. After we agree on a price I will draw the sketch, and after the you have approved of the sketch I will send the invoice that you will need to pay. The invoice will contain all the info for the payment (it’s pretty easy to do online) and it’ll be in euros, and it will obviously be the amount we agreed on. I will then proceed with the rest of the drawing once I receive the payment.

-TIPS: If you wish to leave a tip, it’s greatly appreciated! However, the invoice has to match the exact amount of money I’ll be receiving, so if wanna tip you’ll have to tell me before I send the invoice! Again, a tip is not necessary nor will I be mad or offended if it’s not there. Sharing my art and signal boosting my commission masterpost or recommending me to others means a lot to me too and it’s a great way to help.

-HOW IT WILL WORK: I’ll send you the progress AT LEAST three times: the sketch, the lineart, and the base colors, so you can see them and ask me to change what you don’t like. You already know that I am head over heels for just about every echidna... They all take turns. Julie-Su, Kragok, Lien-Da, Lara-Su, I've written so much for! And Rutan by proxy; Lara-Le, Wyn, Mace... Luger, Merin-Da, Mari-Su, my BELOVED Simon and Floren-Ca... I'm also rather fond of Remington and Teri-Lu~ Hawking, Thunderhawk, Rembrandt, and Spectre are some of my favourite guardians. I could just write about them all forever.

But, ah, Archie is so much more than my bubble of beloved echidnas! Razor is one of my favourite boys; I also really adore Cassia. I'm quite fond of the Fearsome Foursome (snrk) at the best of times.

Rotor is forever. Rotor and Bunnie. They count more as SatAM for me, though. I have spent so much time writing about Scourge & Co; Alicia gets me.

Then right back to echidna-adjacent with my ever beloved Elias. Raised by the brotherhood when he was a toddler; fantastic stuff! There is so much you can do with that.

1. Three Ships: Hörk natürlich; Destiel, auch wenn ich die letzten sieben Seasons von SPN nur noch via Tumblr verfolgt und mir das Ende von SPN lieber gar nicht erst angeguckt habe; Pynch

2. First ever ship: Oh man, ich kann mich nicht mehr genau erinnern, so lange ist das her. Vermutlich irgendwas im Animebereich so ca. Mitte der 2000er, als ich Animexx.de entdeckt habe und überhaupt erstmal gecheckt habe was “Shipping” ist.

3. Last song: Letzter Song in meiner Spotify-Playlist: “Quédate” von Bratty, letztes Album: “Change” von CATT

4. Last movie: Ich bin ein Cinema Geek, also gehe ich bestimmt so 5-6 Mal im Monat ins Kino. Als letztes dort gesehen habe ich den neuesten John Wick mit meinen KollegInnen. Heute Abend habe ich Karten für “Metropolis live mit Babylon Orchester Berlin”, was ich bestimmt schon 3 oder 4 Mal gesehen habe und es ist immer wieder grandios. Stummfilmklassiker auf großer Leinwand gehen immer, ganz besonders mit Live Orchester.

5. Currently reading: Gestern erst habe ich “Hitze” von Victor Jestin zu Ende gelesen, als nächstes starte ich einen Reread von “Die Ladenhüterin” von Sayaka Murata. Nebenbei lese ich seit einer Weile noch “Eine kurze Geschichte der Zeit” von Stephen Hawking, der ein großartiger Buchautor ist, aber zu viel Physik und Astronomie auf einmal bringt mein Hirn zum Überkochen. Außerdem liegt immer ein Poesieband von “Cien Sonetos De Amor” von Pablo Neruda in Originalsprache auf meinem Nachttisch, die beste Nachtlektüre für gute Träume.    

6. Currently watching: Ich bin grade auf dem Nostalgietrip, daher rewatche ich grade uralte Folgen von NCIS (Don’t judge me :D) und nebenher läuft auch öfter mal Superstore. Sobald alle neuen Folgen von The Mandalorian raus sind, werde ich mich denen widmen.

7. Currently consuming: Nichts, weil ich mich gleich auf den Weg mache zum Ramenshop um die Ecke, dann gibt es lecker Tonkotsu Ramen und danach Matcha Eis.

8. Currently craving: Meine Ramen, auf die ich mich schon den ganzen Tag freue. Wenn ihr mal in Berlin seit, probiert unbedingt Limori Ramen in der Mulackstraße *chefs kiss*

“In 1899 The streets of New York City echoed with the cries of the Newsies,” - Max Casella (Ca*sell*a) If you’re familiar with Disney then the 1992 movie Newsies might ring a bell. The movie is about the Manhattan newsboys as they strike back against Pulliazar and the World. As the beginning exposition of the movie suggests this is a true story. In 1899 a group of children really did take a stand against the goliath that was the World.

In this speech I will be giving a quick overview of the actual events, how the mantle was taken up and transformed into a movie musical and then Broadway, and the lasting impact this has made on the legacy of this movement.

During the 19th century yellow journalism, which refers to sensationalized or biased stories that newspapers present as truth according to an article published by Tennessee State University, was the highest form of journalism, it was used by the owners of the major companies to influence readers and sell papers. Each of these papers, from the New York Journal to the Sun, were in competition with one another, whoever could sell the most papers would be King of New York, metaphorically. This meant they needed to get their papers to the masses of New York’s population, the solution, newsboys. They went up and down the streets hawking the headlines. The Newspapers that employed the child labor force, would sell the kids papers, but any that they did not sell would end up costing them, as there was no safety net. Any unsold newspapers would not be bought back.

Being employed on a day to day basis ment that no matter rain or shine, the children would be out selling newspapers. This system worked until the Spanish American War, upping the prices for a bundle of newspapers, the problem was at the end of the war the prince never went down. Living off the pennies they made by selling these papers, the boys and girls who sold papers were rightfully enraged. July 20th the newsies strike began, preventing anyone from buying from either the Journal or the World. Soliciting on the streets for their plight, shoving their messages into the faces of New York residents. Strikers went to rallies and marches for the cause. They got in fights and were arrested before anyone who could change anything took notice. William Randolph Hearst met with a few of the newsboys in charge, coming out of the meeting with an end to the strike.

That strike resonated with screenwriter Bob Tzudiker (sou*dic*cur), he with the help of his wife, Noni (No*ni), took the story of these children under their wing. With care and consideration to the original source they composed the screenplay that would become Newsies. When Disney film exhaustive Donald DeLine (Da*lean*ie) agreed to the film in 1991, Disney had been highly successful with classic films like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. And one member of the team, Jeffrey Katzenberg (Cats*in*berg) brought the idea to turn the production into a live action musical.

The newly born musical was brought together by a creative team, the 20 musical numbers were done by Alan Menken with lyrics by Jack Feldman. With Danny Troob on board to give the young actors vocal training, along with Kenny Ortega as the director. The cast was put though in their own words “torture” to be able to complete the complicated stunts and vigorous singing required. But the rag tag group of boys endured the ten long months of training, and in mid-April shooting for the film was ready to begin. The film when released into theaters in 1992 was not an instant hit. Newsies grossed a little over $2.8 while the production budget was $15 million dollars. The film had become a joke to the public - for all except the children watching the movie.

These children who watched the movie were the ones who allowed for the Newsies revival. A decade and a half later Disney decided to give Newsies a chance once more. Only this time on Broadway; Harvey Fierstein (fear*stein) being re-joined by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman work on the project together they began to remiange to beloved arrangements, to be remodeled into a new form, one recognizable as its predecessor. The newly done musical was an instant sensation, from the cleaner - more organized script, the costumes, the lighting, set design, and dance numbers Newsies the Musical had quite literally seized the day. In the 66th Tony Awards Show it won eight of the eleven awards it had been nominated for. In 2017 it would go on to be professionally recorded, and available for the general audiences viewing.

Now Newsies has been adapted into movie musicals, broadway productions, and touring shows over different content and with the recent news of the Newsies being picked up by West End Theater in London has been swept through. It goes to show how the act and dedication of one man and his wife can keep the actions of hundreds of people alive for multiple generations. These Kids took a stand for their rights only to be overlooked by history. They sit in the shadow of the titans of industry, in the height of the industrial revolution, and these kids though their names might have been lost to history, their story was able to live on, this is their legacy.

The Newsies were what you would consider a rag tag bunch, with no ties anywhere. But these children had the determination and strength, they were able to persevere through harsh living conditions in order to make ends meet. The strike can be summed up in a few lyrics. And this ain’t for fun! And this ain't for show! And we’ll fight ‘em toe to toe and Joe the World will feel the fire and finely know. - The World Will Know

Once and for all we won't carry no banner that don’t spell freedom! Finally we’s raisin’ the stakes, this time whatever it takes! This time the union awakes Once and for all - Once and for all. Thanks to books like Newsies vs. the World by Ashley Varela their legacy lives on today.

da protagonists questions: 5, 9, 18 & 19?

Ooooooooh *melting* thank you for asking (and sorry for the time I took to reply)!  Allow me to answer with my Inquisitor and my warden. I’m yet to finish Origins and I haven’t begin Dragon Age 2! I take the time to enjoy the experience and I play slowly!  Is your inquisitor jealous that both the warden and Hawke have a mabari hound? 

My lady Trevelyan actually to have a Mabari by alliance at the end of her journey. *eh eh* But she isn’t jealous, she doesn’t really want to have one for herself. She never wanted to inherit responsibilities to take care of other people whether it was Thedas or an animal. She feel the pressure to   Nonetheless she gladly gives him treats from time to time .  

Would your warden or Hawke have actually accepted the role of inquisitor if Cassandra had located them as she’d planned to?

My warden, Solona, could’nt become an inquisitor as Justinia imagine. Being a mage who had suffer from the lack of freedom her condition had bring her, she’d take a side in the conflict. She would also had hard time to sympathize with Templar. Even if she respect their role, she strongly disagree with their extreme methods.  She would probably reluctantly accept the job and also be a bad candidate. 

What is the biggest similarity between your protagonists?

My Inquisitor and my warden had allways crave for freedom and had the desir to discover Thedas. 

In the cas of my warden, she felt trapped inside the circle of magi. She was a fast learner and got easily bored. She wanted to explore freely Thedas.  My Inquisitor is from a noble family. She has always known the world through the prism of her education. However, a certain event during her adolescence made him doubt his beliefs. Now she wants to see the world with her own eyes. 

What is the biggest difference between your protagonists?

My warden is confident about hr decisions and her magic. She is strong willing and doesn’t flinch. If she is uncertain or not interested in something about something, she let other decide without thinking twice. she actually want to live without having any regrets so she concentrate on her goals.  

My inquisitor on the other seems assured but she feels pressured by her position and how her choices might impact poeple. Still when necessary, she makes the decision without thinking twice. She follows her instincts.

The exercice was quite difficult (since English is not my first langage) but I reblog those ask to keep me inspired and to develop my creating spirit.  I did’nt expect someone to ask me about my character. <3  I want to give a try at writing but Im really shy. this is my favourite combination of all the worldstates I have so far, mostly because Cas not only is pissed off by default so it makes sense that he's picking fights (Red Hawke) and is even more pissed off by the Wardens not noticing their Mages were possessed (Mage Hawke)

BUT FINALLY he has very personal stakes in the whole thing because

1) his little brother is a Grey Warden, a Grey Warden Stroud saved even

2) THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE IS A GREY WARDEN AND HE WITNESSED PERSONALLY THE EFFECT CORYPHEUS HAD ON HIM

3) speaking of Legacy, that whole thing with his father has affected Cas way more than any of my other Hawkes due to both being mages and Cas' having daddy issues

4) since Hawke and Stroud DID knew each other since DA2, it's kind of funny to seem them interact. I keep imagining Stroud thinking "This explains so much about Carver" everytime Cas is his charming self.

This quest is so good when the starts align

(Second favourite is my main worldstate when William Hawke somehow becomes friends with Loghain while being an Ostgar veteran under Cailan who lost his little brother as they fled Ferelden from the Blight AND is also the Hero of Ferelden's cousin who also somehow became friends with Loghain after all that happened at Ostgar, because apparently Loghain is just catnip to the Amell's bloodline) (Loghain was also Will's childhood hero which helped nothing)

19. Favorite mission from DA2?

All missions with Feynriel. It felt like hawke was in Feynriel's story and not the other way around, and i loved it.

33. Favorite DA character overall?

C.....Ca.... Carver. Though Cassandra is right there on top too.

Shale and Sten flirting.

40. A moment/action you regret in-game?

So i promised in Origins I will save that Arl Eamon's son, did the whole mage tower mission and bringing the mages to do the work, but then i screwed something up and ended up having the kid's mother killing him. God, the way Alistair shouted at me afterwards... he's a game character and he made me feel Shame.

47. Best antagonist in the series?

if she's not dead, Flemeth. She's the most intriguing and truly feels powerful and dangerous.

48. Worst antagonist in the series?

Well Corypheus was quite disappointing. He had potential to be much better than he turned out.

61. Favorite NPC?

Brother Genitivi. Every time i find a codex entry written by him i get happy? Is there anywhere he hasn't been? That guy would have jumped into the abyss just to explore it.

New Zealand er en stat der ligger i Stillehavet og er opkaldt efter den nederlandske provins Zeeland. Polynesiske nybyggere ankom til New Zealand omkring år 1280 og skabte Maorikulturen. Maorierne gav New Zealand navnet “aotearoa” som betyder “Den lange hvide skys land”. Navnet blev givet pga. den lange hvide sky polyneserne så i horisonten ved New Zealand, da de nærmede sig.

Der er 12 timer foreskæld på tiden mellem Danmark og New Zealand, så når jeg står op går i i seng. Der er ca. 5 millioner indbygger i New Zealand og er 268.680 km2 stort, og der er 9 får per person🐑

Deres flag ser sådan her ud 🇳🇿 Der er fire sæsoner ligesom i Danmark, men bare modsat. Så det er efterår her nu, hvor det er forår i Dk🍂🍃 Man bruger New Zealandske dollars som har en værdi på 4 kroner.

New Zealand er kendt for at have nogle af verdens mest storslåede landskaber. Man kan kan går på opdagelse i de geotermiske urlandskaber, dybe, glimtende grotter eller de kridhvide sandstrande eller hike i de frodige bjerglandskaber. Jeg syntes, at NZ har budt på mange naturoplevelser af de helt store. Men også det unikke dyreliv har gjort New Zealand til et overflødighedshorn af gode oplevelser. De meget kendte kiwi fugle har vi ikke set, men det er der vidst ikke mange der har... Men vi har set mange veka’er. Folk fra NZ kaldes også kiwier.

Det 85 tegn lange maori navn, for en bakke i Hawkes Bay er det længste stednavn der findes i alle engelsktalende land.

Det er: Taumatawhakatangihangaoauauotameteaturipukakapikimaungah-oronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu, som groft oversætte, ”det sted, hvor Tamatea, manden med de store knæ, der gled, klatrede og slugte bjerge, kendt som jord-eater, spillede sin næse fløjte til sine kære”😅

New Zealand producere sindssygt meget vin, humle og uld og har kæmpe marker fyldt med frugt, køer, får, dådyr og geder. Man kan ikke køre et sted hen uden at se en kæmpe vinmark.

New Zealand består af to store øer, kaldet nordøen og sydøen, man siger, at det er et land men to verdner. Der er også en række mindre øer bl.a. Stewart Island og Chatham. Fra spidsen af nordøen til spidsen af sydøen er der 1.600 km

Maori er navnet på New Zealand oprindelige befolkning, og udgjorde i 2001 ca. 15% af den samlede befolkning på øerne. Mange af dem er rejst til Australien (ca. 70.000 beboere) og Storbritanien (ca. 10.000 beboere).

Hvert år er der målt omkring 14.000 jordskælv i New Zealand, men kun få fører skader med sig.

Tidligere har landet dog været ude for kraftige jordskælv, der har kostet menneskeliv. Her er nogle af de jordskælv, der har ramt landet de seneste år:

22. februar 2011 bliver Christchurch ramt af et ødelæggende jordskælv. Det blev målt til en styrke på 6,3. 185 mennesker blev dræbt i jordskælvet. Mange huse i Christchurchs midte faldt sammen, og der var store skader på byens kirke. Byen er stadig langtfra blevet genopbygget.

3. juni 2011 ryster et jordskælv Christchurch. Skælvet blev målt til 6,3. En ældre mand døde i jordskælvet.

23 december 2011 rammer to jordskælv med en styrke på 5,8 Christchurch. Offentlige bygninger samt flere kontorer og butikker blev evakueret. Skælvene udløste kraftige rystelser, men ingen alvorlige ødelæggelser.

16. august 2013 bliver hovedstaden Wellington ramt af jordskælv. Skælvet bliver målt til en styrke på 6,8. Det fik bygninger til at ryste, men ingen døde.

14. februar 2016 kan indbyggerne i Christchurch mærke jorden ryste. Et jordskælv på 5,8 rammer byen og skaber revner i flere veje.

13. november 2016 rammer et kraftigt jordskælv 91 kilometer nordnordøst for den newzealandske by Christchurch.
