Veilguard is NINE YEARS after Inquisition. Trespasser was in 9:44 Dragon. so it's 9:53 Dragon. At that point it will have been OVER 20 YEARS since the Warden did their thing. Wow. Wow.
#K.R. shush#DA Blogging#The Warden is meant to be young ballpark 18-25. but also Wardens don't... live very long. I'm not upset I'm fine we're putting that aside

#i’m not a solas girlie but i believe in their beliefs#he’s so perfectly poised to be my ideal dragon age man but he just Isn’t#it’s so funny that every time i bring him up my friends (who i did Not go to da with) always mention concept art solas#漫言#da blogging

For the meme! Since it's Dragon Age Summer: 2, 12, and 18 for Sidane Amell. 8, 11, and 17 for Bryn Brosca, please!
happy Dragon Age Summer! thank you so much :D
Sidane Amell
02. Best friend:
if we're going by just their companions, then I'd say Alistair and Zevran. it's the mutual snarkiness between the three, you know? Sidane also really loves Shale, they get a kick out of Shale's general personality. also Sigrun!
outside their companions, I imagine that Sidane and my own Ramori Surana have been the best of friends since they were young. :) ("she's like the sister I've never had" -Sidane Amell, who deliberately said this next to their sister)
12. Biggest fantasy:
for a while, it was getting to leave the Circle. that one was accomplished, thank you Duncan. they used to fantasize about getting their sight back somehow after they lost it during that last battle, but they've come to terms with being blind over the years. I think right now, what they fantasize about most is finding a cure for the Calling. Sidane wants to be able to live a full life with Morrigan and Kieran.
18. Biggest insecurity:
Sidane would tell you that they have no insecurities - they're attractive, they're smart, they're talented, they're basically the whole package. what's to be insecure about?
Sierra says that they secretly worry about what they have to offer the world. their sister Perry is the ambitious, "I'm going to be the youngest First Enchanter Kinloch Hold has ever seen" type of person, and Sidane isn't. they're not sure what to do with themself now that they're out of the Circle and don't focus on the Grey Wardens that much.
Bryn Brosca
08. Favorite food:
Bryn wasn't terribly picky for a long time - you live in Dust Town long enough, you're just happy to be eating at all. after coming to the surface, though, Bryn gets a taste for sweets, especially ones made with honey. she never got to have desserts all that often growing up, and she likes to indulge herself now that she can. I think she'd really like honey buns.
11. Biggest fear:
I'm gonna go with abominations for this one. Bryn isn't very easily unnerved by any means, but the Circle tower... add that she (initially) doesn't know much about magic in the first place, and yikes. it's terrifying to think that it could happen to somebody due to one moment of weakness. dreams are another one, given that her only experience is with Grey Warden nightmares. :(
in a more abstract concept, just being the person she was before Duncan recruited her. she likes being seen as a hero, and she likes knowing her family is safe. she's terrified of going back to Dust Town, in that sense.
17. Worst romantic experience:
Bryn dated a fellow duster back in the day. the relationship itself was perfectly fine, until her girlfriend found a noble to have a son with, and she got elevated to that caste. said girlfriend didn't exactly bother to tell Bryn that, and essentially ghosted her. Bryn didn't find out until a few months later, and she was understandably mad about that one.

Mid twenties smell like a sultry afternoon after a long day at school, when days felt less disgusting yet a pall of dread hung over the line of sweat on the forehead.
Fast-forward to growing up, everyday, there's an exhaustion, there's a piece of you left behind for yesterday to feed on its remains, as it looks up at you, with its hungry eyes, and rabid skeleton, asking for you to feed it, who said demons are scary? Demons are pathetic pitiful creatures, manipulating you with dead beady eyes of yearning and heartbreak.
Heartbreak is a funny word. Heartbreak is a tragicomedy. An ironic and iconic episodes of morbid shedding of childhood skin into a grown up motherfucker, hunched over a book with words, and that's all you'll ever be, until you jump off the chimney, or become an Orpheus like pitiless fool, you look back at life, don't you, you punk ass cosmonaut.
Twenties start the never ending brawl of disgust that keeps coiling itself into a knot, your gut is your attic, of stored memories with apparent rots, you still keep them- pathetic fallacy is your identity, why not drown yourself instead?
- letters to myself everyday I live and leave twenty

hi. I spent three hours in the Character Creator alone.
and it Will happen again. In the meantime! I made Elrevas!! and only cried a little!! And made (one of) the Rook(s) I couldn't get outta my head! introducing Kallias Mercar, elven ex-slave turned adoptee-spy-apprentice of the Mercar family and Shadow Dragons! They used to disguise themself in all kinds of ways, including hairstyle and color, now settling on dark purple hair while working this job w/Varric that will go Totally Fine With No Hiccups at All.
#K.R. shush#DA Blogging#K.R. can't play DA:V#Inquisitor Elrevas#Rook Kallias#<- problem: my naming convention for DA OCs is [title] [name] but putting Rook first seems. off. hm#anyways! DA:V is interesting. VERY cinematic. I am Not Good at the combat but that's on me#I'm not an action gamer. that said Storyteller mode is being soso niceys to me#so far.#(which is not far At All but I have to go eat dinner)

In an era of bloated AAA game projects 5-10 years in development, few have been quite as worrying to fans as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, Bioware’s next game in the fantasy series that has been worked on for quite literally nine years, has undergone loads of reworks, restarts and a few different project leaders.
Now, according to insider Jeff Grubb, after a reveal of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf that BioWare has already announced for this summer, the goal is to get the actual game out in 2024. This would be six years after December 2018 when it was announced at The Game Awards.
Surely after all these years it would be ready to release, right? But the project has been baffling where again, after nine years of development and six years since its announcement it has shown fans nothing but concept art and very short teasers. Yes, this actual reveal is planned for this summer, but even if they’re planning a hyper-short marketing cycle, it still feels unlikely. A general rule is that for AAA games especially, whatever release date is first announced will not stick, and a delay is likely for 3-18 months for “polish,” which is usually the given reason. In short, after Dreadwolf’s incredibly tumultuous development, its just a little hard to believe they’d pull off a reveal spun almost immediately into a proper release.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will also face serious headwinds from the comparisons it will no doubt evoke. If it comes out in 2024, that would be a year after Baldur’s Gate 3, one of the most acclaimed video games…ever, and an easy GOTY winner last year. Dreadwolf will no doubt have its storyline twists and turns and decisions to be made and party members to romance, but it will be endlessly stacked up against Baldur’s where there’s simply no way it can match it. And I doubt anyone is expecting it to even measure up to The Witcher 3, the must-play fantasy game released in 2015 when development for Dreadwolf began.
It's also unclear how EA’s second major round of layoffs last week may have impacted things. 50 BioWare employees were laid off last year, including a number working on Dreadwolf. BioWare has been in a major slump since the release and high profile failure of Anthem. A new Dragon Age and an upcoming Mass Effect game (again, only seen in nebulous teasers) feel like the studio is trying to return to its glory days but with few of the people who were present during those glory days, as the studio has been wholly transformed. And many would say not for the better.
