Beau didn’t like change. To say the Haus was a bit of a change from his normal daily life was an understatement. He had read all the info he could find on the place before he came and then scoured the paperwork they had given him upon his arrival, and yet he still felt as if he was floundering trying to find his stride. He had thought it would be easier to talk to people when he was paying them to be agreeable...but it turned out that money didn’t buy social graces and his discomfort persisted. Still, he was determined to make the most of his stay. Perhaps he should just skip the talking altogether and get to the good part instead.
He had decided to take his sketchbook to the pool - dressed in a slightly rumpled button down and slacks, hoping that it would prove to be a good spot for some quick figure studies. It didn’t make sense to him to swim outside so late in the winter, but the view was nice enough he figured carnal desire was strong enough to overpower that in lieu of admiring mostly naked men. One of the people he’d been drawing, a man who had been sitting on the edge of the pool with his feet in the water, just so happened to glance up in his direction just in time to meet his gaze, holding it in a way that put a pause on his drawing.
Raising an eyebrow in return, his stoic expression shifting slightly to accommodate the questioning look, he glanced back down at his sketchbook long enough to capture the man’s eyes. He was never able to get the emotion right, his drawing failing to capture any of the life inside his subject. Shifting shifting back to the preliminary sketch, he idly blocked in a few of the people in the surrounding area, their bodies a chaotic mess of lines as he tried to capture them in motion. Even still, his eyes returned to that man, though he couldn’t put a finger on why.

“Nah, only the pretty ones and the ones who pay.” Isaac grinned, “I just really wanted to go for a swim, and since we’re not allowed in the indoor pool alone, this was my primary option. It’ll probably be my last outdoor swim before spring though.” The warmth of the other man’s arm against his skin was such a welcomed sensation, and Isaac was pleasantly surprised by how receptive Romeo was. “So very generuous of you, thank you… Well, what’s your name, kind stranger?” He asked and snuggled in closer to the masseur’s side, enjoying the closeness and the body heat he was radiating.
-
“Well, the logic is sound but I still think you’re insane,” he joked, his new little ice cube of an acquaintance seemingly soaking up all the warmth out of his side. Romeo was reluctantly glad he’d kept his hands to himself so far, he bet they were just as cold - the kind of cold that people think is fun to press against the back of your neck just to make you shriek. “Name’s Romeo, I’m new around here. Just started at the spa. What about you? I get a name in return or am I gonna have to come up with endless ice-based puns instead.”
Glancing around them, he figured they were as free as they were ever going to be at the Haus. “Wanna head inside? Think all my warming efforts would be wasted out here.”

A smile spread across Isaac’s lips hearing the other man’s positive reponse. He didn’t care whether he was a client or not. If nothing else, a little fliration was a good icebreaker, when meeting new men, even colleagues. “A gorgeous man such as yourself deserves to be flirted with.” Isaac winked at Romeo, before hauling himself out of the pool, dripping water down his skinny, shivering body as he went for a towel waiting for him on a poolchair. “You’re right though, it’s cold as hell.” He laughed while drying off. Wrapping the towel around his shoulder’s, he approached the other man again, coming in close to place a kiss to his cheek. “If you’re offering a little heat, I won’t say no.”
-
“Flatterer. I bet you say that to all the guys,” he teased, cringing sympathetically as the guy shivered all the way to his chair. “So...question. What made you wanna freeze your ass off today?” Romeo wrapped an arm around the man’s waist, unsurprised when he was freezing to the touch. The kiss was unexpected but not unwelcome, kinda sweet even, a smile tugging at the corners of the masseur’s lips in response. “A little heat it is. Tis the season of giving, after all.”
