Ahoj ♥︎.* Dnes vám ukážu jak moc limitované gyaru informace v češtině jsou! Moc ráda bych řekla, že mi všechno trvalo dny dohledat, ale je toho tak málo, že to trvalo snad jen hodinu! D-:

Na instagramu jsem toho moc nenašla. Ať už jsem hledala několik výrazů, nic zajímavého se neobjevilo.

"Czgal" mi vyhledalo jen náhodné profily které mají tenhle výraz ve jméně. Žádný účet nebyl gyaru a většina ani nebyla v češtině.

Jak můžete vidět, "czech gyaru" mi nevyhledalo nic.

Výraz "czech gal" mi vyhledalo české, ale ne gyaru účty. Většinou to ukázalo ženy a nebo posty o make-upu. Tohle není překvapení, když "gal" v angličtině znamená "holka" (když to nebereme v gyaru kontextu.)

"Česká gyaru" mi vyhledalo gyaru účty, ale v japonštině nebo v angličtině.

Co bych asi řekla? Na tumblr je to podobná story jako na instagramu. Vlastně, stáhla jsem si tumblr jen proto, abych zde našla nějaké jiné české gals, protože kde jinde než tady, že? No, nakonec to vypadá, že jsem tady jen já. (V současné době.)

Oba pojmy "cz gyaru" a "czech gyaru", vám najde jen příspěvky ode mně.

Ale! Našla jsem jednoho českého člověka, který v letech 2014-2018 reblognul několik gyaru věcí. Nesnažila jsem se je kontaktovat, jelikož to vypadá, že na gyaru úplně zapomněli. Ale vidíme, že se někdo dříve zajímal!

Snad nejvíce odměňující část tohohle všeho! I když pořád není moc, je to o dost více než na tumblru nebo instagramu!

Jeden z prvních odkazů, co se vám ukáže je právě tento facebook účet. Byl aktivní od roku 2017 až po rok 2019! Většinu postů na tomto účtě jsou hime gyaru outfit inspirace. Facebook mi bohužel nechtěl ukázat kdo těch 6 sledujících je.

A to nejlepší na konec, je tato livejournal komunita! Byla vytvořena v roce 2008 a poslední příspěvek na ní byl udělán v roce 2010, od "Sweetlolita" kde se ptá, jestli někdo na tomto fórum ještě existuje (ukázalo se, že ne.) Komunita měla dohromady 8 aktivních členů. Pokud se podíváme do sekce "Profile", je tam napsáno toto:

Podle toho, co jsem tam pročetla, sraz se nikdy nestal. Většinou tam lidé dávali gyaru wallpapers, nebo posílali své outfity atd. Fotky jsou v téhle době bohužel nedostupné. Všechny účty zmíněné v popisku, byli vymazány, ale našla jsem nějaké fotky, které na livejournal dala "kawaiiimandy", což mi dokázalo, že někdo českého původu v roce 2008 doopravdy praktikoval gyaru!

frau’s eyes widen for just a moment, thin brows arcing, and suddenly, bobbie wants to give her the world. she settles for wrapping her legs around frau's waist and drawing her further into the club booth. frau's breath hitches as bobbie lowers to her neck, sharply dragging her teeth across frau's skin.

“people don’t become lawyers to feel safe,” bobbie says, her nails scratching against frau's back, pulling her in for a kiss. vodka and orange melt onto bobbie's tongue, losing their bite, yielding to the surrounding haze of cigar smoke and velvet.

softly, so quiet that bobbie thinks she may have imagined it, frau murmurs, "they don't become club owners either."

all im saying is that madam frau and bobbie go over the finances of the club together to transition everything into frau's name. they spend a few late nights laughing over how much tax evasion that kratt committed and just how terrible it all was. frau makes two of her infamous screwdrivers, and bobbie breaks down legal jargon when she doesn't need to.

maybe frau's eyes flick over bobbie's legs a few too many times. bobbie laughs, finger swirling her glass, "do you ever feel bad about the things you've done?" she looks away, pretending she's just curious.

still, frau sees her look over to the stage, how bobbie falters for a moment, her body struggling to stay elegantly stretched over a chair.

"yes," she remembers cleaning up the glass and blood from the stage. her stage.

maybe, just maybe, frau lets her eyes draw up to bobbie's face and leans in, "but there's always a twist."

the assistance part one

David Pastrnak’s car had a problem. And he had no fucking clue how to solve it. He thought that he was skilled with his hands. On the, 100%. When it came to cars, 0%. If negative percentages existed, that would be how good he was at fixing cars. YouTube couldn’t help him this time.

The team were over at his place for a barbecue as he had the best grill and hosting facilities. David knew that he should have called a mechanic but he also knew that Charlie’s cousin was a mechanic and that it might be easier to get them to fix it. 

The Czech player walked over to Charlie with a beer for each of them before sitting down in the chair next to him. David ran a hand through his hair and he didn’t know why he felt so awkward asking a friend for a favour, but he did. It wasn’t the thing he usually did.

“You know your mechanic cousin,” David started, getting over the awkwardness and just saying what he needed to.

“Yes, I do know Peanut,” Charlie replied, he had to refrain from rolling his eyes. Everyone knew that he had a cousin who was a mechanic but it was only Trent who had actually met her. He didn’t even know if the rest of the team knew that the mechanic was a woman. 

“Any chance he could come and take a look at my car? I’ll pay him for the trouble, I’m just driving around and something sounds wrong,” David explained, hands gesticulating.

“Yeah, I’ll drop Peanut a message and hopefully they’ll swing by today,” Charlie pulled his phone out and composed a text to his cousin. Charlie knew that Aurelia was at a race day but she was usually done by 3PM and, he checked his watch, it was half past two. She should be done soon.

His phone vibrated almost immediately after putting it down.

Peanut 🥜: will swing by, race has just finished. ya gal won again ✌️

Charlie: was never in doubt! see you in an hour or so

Trent wandered around Pasta’s garden after chatting to a few of the guys and their partners. He had a beer in his hand but something was off. He didn’t feel right but that could have been related to the punches he received in his abdomen the afternoon before. Saturday matinee games had gotten a lot more feisty than he remembered.

The can of beer in his hand was finished so he crushed it before walking inside to find the recycling bin. Trent knew where the glasses were so he quickly grabbed one and filled it up with some water. He wasn’t drunk by any means but he was dehydrated.

Three quick knocks on the front door took him out of the trance he was in. His hands didn’t move quickly enough as he spilt a large portion of his water onto his shirt. A few expletives left his mouth as he put the glass down and pulled his T-shirt off. 

Charlie had just got Aurelia’s text saying that she was here so he walked to the front door but was greeted by a half naked teammate. 

“Please put your shirt back on, Aurelia doesn’t need to see that,” Charlie groaned when he realised that it was Trent who was shirtless.

“Aurelia’s here?” asked Trent. As far as the St Louis native was aware, she wasn’t meant to be coming to this event. But it wouldn’t be unlike Charlie to change who he invited last minute. 

“Yes,” Charlie wandered through the kitchen to the hallway of Pasta’s house. “So please put a shirt on, she doesn’t need to see your chest.” Trent thought about his request but had to ring out his shirt in the sink before he put it back on because the sensory overload of a wet shirt was not fun.

Trent’s back was to the hallway so Aurelia wouldn’t be able to tell who it was. This was a good compromise between putting a shirt on whilst it was still wet and not wearing a shirt at all, he thought.

A wolf whistle from behind him was unexpected but Trent thought it was one of his teammates so turned around to explain why his shirt was off.

“Frederic!” Charlie shouted. “I told you to put your shirt back on.” In front of him was a fuming Charlie McAvoy and a staring Aurelia McAvoy.

“Not complaining at all Chucky,” Aurelia grinned as she looked Trent up and down. Charlie playfully hit the back of her head and then shouted for David.

Pasta walked into the kitchen with a beer in his hand, which he thought he was going to hand off to the mechanic who was going to fix his car. Instead he was greeted by a shirtless Trent, an angry Charlie and a girl. 

“David, Peanut,” Charlie pointed between the two of them. “Peanut is going to fix your car then go home.”

Aurelia raised an eyebrow towards her cousin. “And what if I don’t want to go home after?”

“You’re welcome to stay-“ David started but was cut off by Charlie.

“Peanut,” Charlie sighed, “you’re working tomorrow and you raced today. You should get some sleep.”

“Who are you, my dad?” She questioned back. “Let me take a look at the car and then I can figure out how long it’s going to take me to fix it. Then I can see if I’m going straight home.” She mumbled something that only Trent caught as she walked past him to the garage. “Stupid fucking cockblock,” was what he heard.

Yom Hashoa. Holocaust Remembrance Day January 27

This is my grandpa, Abraham Weiss, he was born as Adolf Weiss but changed his name after the war for obvious reasons. 

My grandpa was born in Czechoslovakia also known as the Czech Republic. 

His father was drafted into the army and never returned, and so his mother was left with 2 young boys, Abraham, My grandpa, and Benjamin. 

After a long journey on the train to Auschwitz, being squeezed together with an inhuman amount of people in a railroad car, he was separated for the last time from his mother and younger brother. In what is called “the selection”. 

He never saw them again. 

In no time he became a 13 year old orphan who spent every day trying to survive, the sights he saw, the horrors he went through are unimaginable.

For years he didn’t talk about it, only after my grandma passed he realized how short life is and how important it is to tell the story so history will never repeat itself. 

NO ONE, should ever be oppressed or persecuted for their race, religion or for any reason.

That’s my take on life. 

My grandpa‘s legacy lives deep in my heart. 

He loved people, he believed in them and he respected people for who they are.

He came from the darkest, most oppressed place and with a seed of hope he built himself a new life in Israel. 

I pray that we, as humans, will come together and stop the bloodshed, everywhere and forever.

I pray for our children to have a normal, positive and fruitful future where people come together, and where we let hope and love rule the world.

Thoughts on the New to Me films:

New Year's Eve we watched RRR, a lot of fun, energetic, bright and action-packed. I enjoyed the way that little attention was given to the British characters. They were straight up villains in ill fitting ahistorical costumes, kind of like the way Indian/Asian characters are treated in Western films most of the time...$$$

New Year's Day we watched Peter's Friends, a drama/comedy from the early 90s starring all of the famous Cambridge Footlights. Big Chill-ish film set in a country house over the Christmas holidays. $$$

How to Get a Head in Advertising was weird and also really good. Had a similar vibe to Withnail and I (possibly because of Richard E. Grant, but also possibly the mixture of the surreal with the realistic). Quite stage-y in some ways but clever and savage in it's satire of life in the 80s. $$$

Frieda: Oh I loved this! Weird World War II melodrama about a German girl marrying a British boy and all the trouble it causes with his complex family situation. Such a stellar cast including the late, great Glynnis Johns. $$$$

The Quick and the Dead: I set my expectations quite low for this and was pleasantly surprised. I liked Sam Raimi's comic book-y take on gunfighters and esp. loved Sharon Stone's character. We love to see a female action hero with no love interest. A nice twist on the Man with no Name trope. Excellent cast as well with Russell Crowe, Gene Hackman, Roy Scheider and Woody Stroud in his final film. $$$

The Barefoot Contessa: Joseph Mankewitcz is one of the geniuses of old Hollywood but this ain't it, chief. Just kind of all of the place melodrama that makes no sense and relies too much on Ava Gardner looking amazing in technicolor in the South of France. A bit of a commentary on Grace Kelly who a few years earlier married minor royalty on the Riviera. Even Rossano Brazzi can't save this mess for me. $

Rhubarb: Two genres I usually kind of hate (family-friendly animal centered film, sports film) combined into one and it's actually a lot of fun. Ray Milland and a bunch of classic character actors as the baseball team (also Leonard Nemoy has a tiny part as a mobster) in this slight/ predictable romp. $$

The Birds: Woah, shit this was good. I should have known. Amazing tension created and Hitchcock just sells the surreal horror with lots of rear projection...so. much. rear. projection. $$$

House of Yes: How about House of NOPE. Ugh what a mess this was. Some good performances and intriguing story, but it was very stagey and I don't know why the 90s couldn't make a story about adult children and their parents without reducing everyone to cliches and stereotypes but this and Six Degrees of Separation are definitely guilty of that, but the latter is just a better film. $

Cassandra Cat: Takes a long time to get to the cat which given that this was a family film from the 60s might be a problem for some viewers, expecting a more cat-centric movie. Interesting riff on fairy tales from the Czech New Wave. Beautiful Demy-esque technicolor and settings make this 60s nonsense fly by. $$

The Day the Earth Caught Fire: 60s nuclear panic disaster film that really just shows the earth as it is now in the throws of global warming. Yikes. Thoughtfully written and well acted by a bunch of folks I'd never heard of. $$

For Me and My Gal: Directed by Busby Berkley and starring Gene Kelly and Judy Garland and set in the 1920s on the Vaudeville circuit, I was expecting a lot more fun, dancing, color, costumes etc. This is actually more of a black and white war time melodrama with some music shoved into it and the dancing is very rudimentary. (I think this is probably because Garland esp. at this stage wasn't in the same league with Gene Kelly and I think it would have been too noticable...). Filmed at the entry of America into WW2 this was quite a deliberate propaganda piece. $$

TLADOCB Commentary: I've watched this movie 20 times at least but the commentary really made me think about a bunch of things differently. Can't say I recommend unless you are fanatic though as it's obviously pieced together from interviews Michael Powell and Martin Scorcese $$

Water (1985): If you smoke the exact right strain of sativa and ignore some of the more dated aspects of this 80s comedy, that reads as if Local Hero were a Cheech and Chong film--this is a total classic. Irreverent Michael Caine just straight up breaking character the minute he turns into a guerilla fighter in the jungle and being far too competent and cool, and then snapping back to sweetly shy, inept British Civil Servant, finding he actually loves his hated backwater post (the invent Casara part Caribbean, part Devon Jurassic Coast) while having to actually do his job. Political satire and fully both barrels to Maggie Thatcher and Reagan. Good on em. Filmed in St. Lucia, the movie has a zany heart and little taste, hoovering up vast quantities of competent TV players from my youth: Herman Munster and Reginald Perrin to name but two. Awkward love story and some uneven acting from Valerie Perrin and Brenda Vaccaro. I enjoyed myself, heartily, anyway. $$$

The Ballad of John and Yoko: Technically a video essay with amazing production values (the licensing alone was epic) dragging together disparate topics around the central theme of women being blamed for bad things happening to infantalized male geniuses. Is it the most coherent argument? No. Does it absolutely tap into many unexpressed or implied ideas that have been floating around since me too? Absolutely. $$

Track 29: This was some of the worst casting I've ever seen in a film. When I think of Texas nurse who is into trains and spanking, I don't automatically think of comedian Sandra Bernhardt. When I think of an actress of that era who was old enough to play Gary Oldman's mother, I don't think of Theresa Russell who is the same age as Oldman and looked every bit as young as he did in the film. Maybe that was the point? I'm not sure. The story was weird, like a Southern Gothic melodrama/black comedy ala Flannery O'Connor, but there was something off about the whole thing.

Let me introduce you to my pyro OC Finley (or Barbora Nováková though she doesn't like this name).

Finley is a gal from Czech Republic that became a mercenary since the contract said she'll be allowed to set eveyrthing around on fire and this girl was more than happy to get that opportunity (plus she had nowhere else to go since Finley escaped from a mental hospital and didn't have her own home, but that really wasn't as important for her as the fact that she would be allowed to shoot fire at people).

She doesn't take her work too seriously seeing it more as a game than an actual serious mission. Especially since the respawn machine makes it easier for her to forget that she can actually die during the fight.

Finley doesn't have pyrovision. But IS very detatched from reality since even though she can see everything around clear and without any hallucinations, Finley still somehow manages to trick her mind into taking things from a playful and childish perspective where everyone is happy and pain or death isn't a thing at all.

Ahoj! .♡° Dneska bych vám chtěla ukázat a vysvětlit pár slov, které na gyaru blogách (jak už japonských nebo zahraničních) nejspíš často uvidíte!

Gyaru - Je japonská módní subkultura. Dříve slang pro mladé a "lehkovážné" ženy. Gyaru byl velice populární styl od roku 1990 až do roku 2000, kde ženy a dívky rebelovaly proti japonským standartům, jak už estetickým/módním tak i standartům co se týkalo životního stylu.

Gal - Člověk (většinou žena/dívka), který praktikuje gyaru.

Kogal/Kogyaru - Často mylně označováno jako substyl gyaru, vlastně jenom označuje gals, které chodí na střední. Kogals často zakomponují své uniformy do svých outfitů. Například si stříhají sukeň aby byla kratší a nosí volné ponožky.

Gaijin - Člověk, co praktikuje gyaru, ale není z Japonska.

Gyaruo - Gyaru pro muže, nebo více masculiní lidi. Gyaruo má své vlastní pravidla a substyly, kompletně jiné od gyaru.

Heisei - Nebo-li "old-school". Heisei je označení pro gals, které začly nebo praktikovaly gyaru od roku 1990-2019.

Reiwa - Jsou gals, které praktikují gyaru od roku 2019-současnost.

A) anon I don't cover the troll Ashley and her trash talk on her fan blogs trashing wags. Kathy Leutner has never been a stylish dreseer as much as she loves orchestrated photoshoots with Pens wags. I guess it is her awareness about Sidney Crosby's height and a tiny gap between her own lanky figure she is still short for a catwalk model but she is 5'9 or 5'10, Sidney is around 5'11 so she skipped the heels and went for sneakers. Big deal..all above.

I can't see her on NYE group photo of Pens wags but it looks to me she wears a black rollerneck so make your opinion lol. Not close to a baggy jeans by Isabel Marant on Oiler Wag but accompanied by shiny sexy top and heels. Do not let me start with real look of Ashley Troll and her trashing wags and women generally....she loves Crosby and cameras madly like Kathy L and her only genuine interest close to her heart was Blackhawks top lol sexy like on Kathy lol

B) anon I feel very sorry for these juniors just from hearing about it. It is bad if Bedard's ,playmate, Stan's children and junior club was cancelled by top big wigs who request bribes to let talented juniors to play. These juniors from Czechia has had tremendous spirit of the fighters with agile work with the shortened offensive zone. Shame they have to pay 10.000 bucks to stay and play to ex communist amateurs stuck in Stone Age so their chavs have money for clothes and fun. No surprise Meghan Markle has found the sound board here. Russian comrades will real results when it comes to their dirty history and nepotism with corruption.
