This is probably spoilers so you don't have to answer it. I gotta ask what did the Cains do (Andrew and Julia) that warranted the authorities coming after them ?

The law really took notice of them after Andrew kills a man about two years after Blessing is born. Up until that point him and Julia never really hurt anyone they just left whenever they could tell they weren't wanted in the area anymore. But once he crossed that line Andrew started to get more violent and had less of a problem with killing people. Julia didn't ever kill anyone but she didn't ever try to stop him either. Neither of them ever really felt bad about it either, they just saw them as obstacles in their way so they dealt with them.

Vortex question:

The Vortexs were made by complete coincidence. As such they merely siphon that excess power that leaks from our dear MC's tomb. As such the Vortex phenomenon is more like a tick that drinks its hosts blood aka MC's power. As such the MC has no dominion or sway over these Vortexes.

Spoiler:

But now since the MC is free, there will be no leakage of power for Eden's core to siphon on. In turn meaning no more Vortexes will be formed. As such they will begin to die out in a way.

Now as for the Mini Eldritch Horrors. Well the MC will encounter one just as they leave their place of incarceration. So your MC's first fight will be one of their accidentally made monsters. But after that whole situation the MC will come to learn of Vortexes and these monsters.

Which I as the author will be giving you the readers the ability to choose from #3 paths that you will be able to take with the said monsters.

Option 1: Will be to make the just recently defeated Horror your MC's pet + mount. (Will be able to choose its form from 6 Forms I've yet to fully decide on. I'll probably do a poll here for you guys to decide on 3/4 of them. Since 6 is quite the big number pusher for when it comes to coding variables.)

Option 2: You will be able to enslave all Horrors you come across and keep them in The Empty to use as an army when fight scenes happen. Aka. Slave Monster Army at your beck and call. But the MC must first make them submit obviously before ensnaring them.

Option 3: The MC can instead link themselves to the recently defeated monster there by linking with all monster globally mentally. And through this psychic link the MC can kill them all instantaneously. This will give the MC a boost to their depleted Divine Reserves.

Did Andrew go and try to kill Mc himself because Mc was his favorite or was it because of some other reason ?

this is going to be have some spoilers so ill put it under the cut

the main reason that Andrew and Julia even decide to kill their children when they do is because they got told that the law was planning on making a move to bring them in that day. so they were very much rushed for time not knowing exactly when the law was showing up but they knew it was soon.

I don't know if ive made it obvious yet but they do drown their children in the lake that they'd take family trips to. They couldnt just throw Blessing in the water and wait like they could do with the others, so Andrew being the one to handle Blessing was the easiest and fastest way.

Blessing being Andrews favorite did have a little bit to do with it but it was mostly just them needing to get this done fast
