did that CN palette challenge a few days ago. Hadn’t drawn anything “big” in a while but I saw this going around, and I love this palette so I had to do it using the SDotM crew. Impressed with myself tbh, legit one of my favorite things I’ve made in a while... might revisit it
also did a speedpaint video that had more work put into it than usual

Introduce yourself
Hello! My name is Ori, but I go by Samuskiii on the internet. I am 15 years old, and an art student! I love cartoons, such as Adventure Time, Steven Universe, She-ra, and Gravity Falls, to list a few. But overall, my main passion is comics, in particular DC Comics. I've been reading DC for as long as I could remember, and I've grown to fallen in love with the characters, art, and the plotlines.
When did you start drawing? Are you a digital or traditional artist?
I've been drawing my entire life, but I started to take it more seriously when I was around 11. I am both a digital and traditional artist, but I have a slight preference for digital art.
Do you use any traditional mediums? If so, which are your favorites?
Yes! My favorite medium is Inks. I love inks, because you can get a great sense of contrast, and it reminds me of comics.
Why do you prefer traditional over digital? (or viceversa)
I love both, but I prefer digital because of the control I have while drawing. Also, the undo button.
What do you think is the most challenging part about being a traditional/digital artist?
Finding time to draw. I'm an art student, and school end around 4, and by the time I get home, its 5. Plus, with extra curriculars, homework, and studying for upcoming tests, it's hard to find time to draw. Even during the summer, I am working an 8-5 summer job.
What inspires your pieces?
So many things inspire my art. Sometimes its TV shows or comics, and how much I love a character/a character dynamic, or how well an AU would fit into it! For example, I drew a small She-Ra/Batman AU, where She-Ra was Batman and Catra was Catwoman.

Explain your "everyday" drawing process
First, I have to have an idea. Without an idea, I'd just be sitting in front of my screen, waiting for inspiration to strike. And that's just a waste of time. Then, I have to find references. And I use a ton of references, mainly stock photos. Then I have to choose a color palette that will fit the characters, background, environment, and most importantly, mood. And from there I'm ready to draw!
Do you have an artist you admire (or more than one)?
So many. Artofkace, kurawastaken, fujifingerz, thechekhov, sixspence, 24cr, sakakikaga, jasker, dar-draws, and a ton of others I'm forgetting.
Do you listen to music (or tv shows/films/anything else) when drawing?
50% of the time I listen to music. Artists I listen to are Mitski, cavetown, Dodie, Liana Flores, Alessia Cara, and some others. The other 50%, I listen to this Youtube channel called Mckay and Gray. The channel is ran by a lovely couple (who recently just got married!), one a comic book artist, and the other a comic book writer. Each video they talk about really important things, such as Bleed lines, Character Design, CYMK, Thumbnailing, storytelling, and more.

What makes art interesting for you?
The story behind it, which is probably what drives me into making so much fan art.
What do you do when art block strikes?
I don't really have a solution to art block yet :/
What’s the most valuable art advice you’ve ever received?
The whites of the eye are never pure white.
