I'm here to tell you guys how frustrating and stupid it is that you're now forcing people to have a Tumblr account in order to send an anonymous ask. This only hurts tumblr blogs, which are now dealing with less interactivity and fewer asks - which ultimately leads to less time being spent on tumblr - which leads to less ad revenue for you. Hope you reverse this idiotic decision soon.

Thanks for bringing this up with us, as it is an important point to address. 

Unfortunately, as a result of the sheer amount of abuse people were receiving from anonymous asks, it was necessary to require a login. That’s the sad but unavoidable truth, and we aren’t going to roll that decision back. In truth, it is a decision we cannot roll back given the previous situation.

We ran the numbers, and actually, we see that anonymous ask traffic has stayed pretty much the same, despite the change. Hopefully, we only lost the really bad, negative anonymous asks in the process.

We want folks to feel safe on Tumblr. One of the ways we have tried to do this is that our ability to take action on people who send harmful anonymous asks is more important than the pure anonymity we used to provide.

let us go nuts show nuts again… for real this time ( -> there are app store/USA law issues with this one, so it's not entirely in tumblr's hands)

remove flashing ads, including not accepting blaze campaigns for posts with flashing in them

commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!

more transparency on staff working on issues raised by users ( -> staff does have a github but seems to be more dev focused than user issues focused)

we're actually very well aware of all of this, and are working on fixing a lot of these issues. some of them are legit technical problems, but some of them are perception (which we also need to improve with more communication on our side).

we recently rolled out some fixes to how we index community labelled posts, for example; you can search for "nsfw" now and see results (if your CL settings allow you to). we have to tread carefully, though, because the app stores don't want you to be able to do a lot of these things.

and please, if you have feedback like this, send it in to Support. i am one human working on tumblr, but there are a lot more humans than just me, and we do actually read and use all of the feedback gathered through Support. that's the best avenue for getting these concerns addressed.

You know what, yeah, now that I'm at like, the half way point, fuck it. Here are my predictions in the order of what is most on my mind!

I have no GOOD or reliable predictions, but here are the ones I can see happening.

Estinien is gonna spend his life in a cyle of getting possessed and rescued and possessed again.

Y'shtola will continue to show promise but they won't ever do anything fun or interesting with her, same with Thancred, Urianger, and Krile, but they all show less promise than Y'shtola.

The moon's gonna crack open like an egg and let out the Ascians' boring evil god and most of the debris will fall on Garlemald and we'll have to help them rebuild and everyone will point out the irony.

Okay, here's a theory I'm maybe confident on, I'm still promoting my "It's all primals all the way down" conspiracy board, there are no gods, Hydalen is a primal, maybe the WoL is a primal.

Uhh, what else.

This isn't a prediction, this is just a hope, I want Aymeric not just to make it out alive, but also to come back and have things to do in the story. I miss him.

They'll probably woobify like half the Garlean villains and give them tragic backstories. We'll find out Zenos' mommy was the only one who loved him and she died in front of him or some bullshit. Varis will turn out to have been beaten by the grandpa he hated. The grandpa he hated will have been sad and misunderstood and suffered abuse because he couldn't use magic so he built an empire of ideals that corrupted over time. It's not his fault, you see UwU

Journal: This based on my experience from my traumatic emotional abuse and intrusive thoughts. It felt cold hearted like i'm freezing in sterotypical evil (from media) and fascist Z (Real life) Russia combind but it's from my abuser who is virtue signalling pro-Ukraine and hates Putin. I agree as shared opinion on the war and a cause despite Putin but i also cared about the Russian civilian having to put up their tyrant's villainy. Got off rail, byside from it. The color blue is beloved for winning trust worthing side of heroicness good guy and innocent but it has dark side is cold hearted and depression. The color red along with warm color hue is Warmth what make us survive in cold temptature but there a good word called warm hearted and heart felt. It's like i'm a monkey in cold situtation (from Harry harlow's experiment on mother surrogate) seeking refuge for warmth on mother surrogate with blanket. The parallel line is depressing rain seeping down across to the ground. The silver symbolised as black and white on superior white spectrum protrayed as grey to gaslight into justifying bad things as excuse. The phrase tell to get over it as swept under the rug just to advoid whistleblown and alerted the SOS.

Cain Romero is in his early 20’s, but sometimes its like he’s never even left his teens. He’s avoidant of others but desperate to be needed, embraced by them the same way he dreams in his head. Some might call him ditzy, but despite the fantasy land Cain daydreams of shining knights and damsels in distress.. He’s starkly aware of the truth. Those vibrant hues he saw while holding her hand. The clean smell that filled his nose when he was tucked into bed. Are gone now. It’s a dulled, mildewy grey and all he can do is wander like a hitchhiker. Person to person, hoping even a sliver of it, feels the same. Its not like he realizes how draining he is. Not to anyone, not even to you.

So, long story short here: we have looked into increasing or eliminating this limit in the past. Unfortunately, there are too many people who abuse this limit already, for nefarious purposes, so it acts as a way of mitigating that activity. However, we did increase the queue size to 1000 and removed the limit to how many drafts a blog can have.

It is also worth emphasizing that we are always looking for ways to be smarter at fighting the bad behavior on platform—so that these limits would not be necessary in the first place! If we make any big strides in that direction, as hoped, we’ll be loud about it on the @changes blog.

I’ve been thinking about how my characters deal with the whole Stasis thing (what with the booklet lore dropping and whatnot) and decided to break it down to make this idea somewhat coherent for myself.

Ór: Thanks to her unfortunate connections to Variks she was the one to ‘‘‘‘defeat Eramis’’’’ (a fic about it is brewing.....) so she got it as a necessity. Very conflicted. Afraid she will do something terrible, afraid this shatters everything she thought she was. Doesn’t really pay attention to what the Vanguard thinks about it (though she fears they would be resentful towards her). Will protect Elsie & co. with her life, will kick Aunor in the teeth. Learns to control and somewhat accept it around the time of the Endless Night.

Yilwran: Hard and decisive no; stands by the Vanguard’s decision to ban it. At first would probably throw hands with everyone he saw using it in Crucible (Darkness is not a toy to be abused for your amusement), grew resentful-tired over time. Still vocally against it when someone wants to debate him.

Julianna-2: Finding out about her pre-Exo backstory was horrifying enough and she didn’t need the extra terror of taming Stasis. Doesn’t take a side just yet (though is inclined towards Yilwran’s stance), actively avoids any scholarly drama about it in her researching circles.

Evie: Realises forbidding it will only make Guardians want it more. Not sure whether it’s ‘corruption’ or ‘evil’, not quite buying Dark Vanguard’s philosophy either. Has some degree of trust in Elsie, though. Not actively pondering it (she has way, way too many other problems rn), but would probably acquiesce if she made sure it was truly the most sensible way.

The Seeker: A bad idea. Compels him, though. (Probably tried it in secret.)

Shinon-11: Will not, ever, use it herself after a terrifying experience in SoArrivals when the Darkness possessed her in a similar way it possesses Ghosts and uses them to speak. 100% chill with other people using it, just keep it away from her.

Cyle: Nope, because the Vanguard says so. Won’t be hunting down folks who choose to use it but disproves of it as a rule. Doesn’t make a fuss about Ór using it (duh, friends disagree on things), though she was upset at the very first moment. Doesn’t mind being Stasis-frozen in the Crucible.

Weakness: He's not that skilled in combat so he might get caught off guard easily. He can't control the speed he's going when he's flying and crashes a lot due to lack of practice.

Personality: Carefree and usually zest. Fun-loving and mischievous. He likes feigning innocence to mess around with people. When it comes to (properly) interacting with others though, he's not easy to get along with. He either shies away behind his siblings or mock others to get them to leave him alone. If he's forced by his siblings, he would reluctantly interact with others until he warms up to them. A pretty daring and reckless kid that may or may not have given his siblings near heart attacks at some point.

Relationships:

- Veth and Kyte (siblings who act like his parents, sort of. He admires his brother a lot but bonds with his sister more. They're all still close.)

- Miah (doesn't like her that much and tries his best to tolerate her. Likes making fun of her)

- Mirai (Treats her like a little sister. Also one of his main targets for pranks)

- Nyx and Vivo (first actual friends, pranking buddies, but he and Vivo at times don't get along well)

Some stuff:

- At the age of 1, his siblings took him and ran away from home to escape their abusive father and step mother.

- They got abducted by an organization and was experimented on.

- He was experimented for lahka wings to be attached to him and is the only successful subject for the wings to work on him. He was traumatized during the whole process.

- He and his sibs were also experimented for regenerative healing and enhanced strength.

- They got out eventually and nearly burned the lab down.

- They're still on the run from them.

- Due to how he got his wings, he doesn't like them. Doesn't like remembering how he got them. But they're a part of him now and he has to accept that. Eventually..

- Doesn't have a lot of practice with flying mostly because of his sibs being worried about hunters or mercenaries that might mistake him for a lahka and shoot him down. So they don't allow him to fly too far away from them. The camping area for him to fly in is usually too small for him to practice but he tries.

- Absolutely loves sweets.

- Ignorant about a lot of things. His sibs try their best to teach them what they know.
