New AU idea I think!!

Just a lil something I came up with before bed a few nights ago, buuuut-

I'm naming it UnderTopia, and it'll follow the Canon UT timeline fairly closely (1 think, I'm not 100% sure yetImao.) It's set in the near future, both the humansand monsters have advanced technologically, buttheir worlds have gone down different routesHumanity has transformed into a CyberPunk societywhereas Monsterkind has a Cyberprep environment

l'll add more as I figure out the finer details, but for now, here is a rough mockup of my first re-design for the Monsters! Meet UnderTopia Sans :]]

He might get a new name eventually, but for now, it is just Sans.

Imagine an AU where Gaster wasn't an evil, where everyone get character development other than sans and papyrus (still love them though.), to see more the world other than the underground. He lives and breathes video games but he also codes and draws (leans more towards illustration and pixel art!). But he also loves skating and driving on his bike too.

Facts about Cybertale Sans!

Sans still make puns like his classic

Sans does a good father-son bound with Gaster.

He worked on the core with his Father.

Sans loves his little brother and helped him with making puzzles and test them out.

He is 17 when Frisk fell into the underground.

He sees Frisk as another younger sibling.

so funny thing, I used this line in my au's story, the Science team(tm) gaster, alphys, sans,figured out multiversal stuff really early, which allows them to see future technology, which allowed (my) cybertale to advance really quickly, lol

you know what I'm surprised that with all the undertale aus out there I haven't seen anyone but myself bring up this line from undertale itself:

When you answer "I don't know" to the final question on Mettaton's quiz. She says she's done research on it. (Could possibly relate to her determination research given the whole thing with timelines and resets [I'd be shocked if Sans's line about "our reports" wasn't referring to him and Alphys together since they've been shown to know each other and all]. Or maybe it was meant to be some kind of foreshadowing to Deltarune since that basically is an alternate universe/parallel world)

Hilarious in hindsight but I'm surprised I never in my time in the fandom saw a single ANYTHING regarding this line. Like. Istg the fanfic writes itself, Alphys makes a portal gun and then drags Sans along on a quest throughout the multiverse to find Deltarune. Probably gets distracted a lot along the way-
