The Role of Diamonds in Luxury Watches
Introduction
Diamonds have long been associated with luxury and sophistication, and their presence in high-end timepieces elevates the art of watchmaking to a new level. Today, with advancements in diamond technology, lab-grown diamonds such as those used in CVD diamond rings are becoming increasingly popular in luxury watches. In this blog, we'll explore how diamonds, including synthetic options like CVD diamonds, have come to play an essential role in the world of luxury watches.
Diamonds and Watchmaking: A Perfect Match
A Symbol of Prestige
Diamonds in luxury watches are not just decorative—they signify status, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. Whether adorning the bezel, dial, or even the watch's inner mechanics, diamonds enhance a watch’s elegance and value.
Precision Craftsmanship
Setting diamonds into a luxury watch requires impeccable skill and precision. Each stone is carefully selected for its quality and set by master jewelers to ensure that it complements the design of the watch while maintaining its functionality. The combination of high-quality diamonds and fine watchmaking exemplifies the pursuit of perfection in both aesthetics and mechanics.
CVD Diamonds in Luxury Watches
What Are CVD Diamonds?
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) diamonds are lab-grown diamonds produced using a unique method that mimics the natural diamond formation process. These diamonds have the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural diamonds, making them an increasingly popular choice for luxury watchmakers.
Why CVD Diamonds Are Popular
Luxury watch brands are turning to CVD diamonds for several reasons:
Ethical Sourcing: CVD diamonds offer a conflict-free alternative, making them appealing to ethically conscious consumers.
Sustainability: The production of CVD diamonds has a lower environmental impact compared to traditional mining, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable luxury.
Affordability: CVD diamonds are often more affordable than mined diamonds, allowing luxury watch brands to incorporate larger or more elaborate designs without compromising on quality.
Where You’ll Find Diamonds in Luxury Watches
1. Diamond-Studded Bezels
One of the most common uses of diamonds in luxury watches is the diamond-studded bezel. Brands like Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe are known for incorporating diamonds into the bezel, adding a striking sparkle that enhances the timepiece's beauty. CVD diamonds can be a perfect choice for these bezels due to their brilliance and ethical appeal.
2. Diamond Hour Markers
Another subtle yet elegant way diamonds are used in luxury watches is as hour markers. Small, precisely cut diamonds replace traditional numerals or indices, adding a touch of opulence without overwhelming the design. CVD diamonds, with their excellent clarity and cut, are ideal for these intricate placements.
3. Full-Pave Dials
For those who prefer a bolder statement, full-pave diamond dials feature diamonds covering the entire face of the watch. These watches are not only a testament to the craftsmanship behind the diamond setting but also a display of pure luxury. Synthetic diamonds like CVD diamonds can be used here to achieve maximum sparkle while ensuring ethical practices.
4. Diamond-Covered Cases
Some luxury watches push the limits of extravagance with cases entirely covered in diamonds. These timepieces are often one-of-a-kind creations that cater to the most discerning collectors. The use of lab-grown diamonds such as CVD diamonds allows for the creation of these dazzling designs without the high environmental and ethical costs of mined diamonds.
Why CVD Diamonds Are Ideal for Luxury Watch Buyers
Cost-Effective Luxury
For consumers who want the brilliance of diamonds without the exorbitant price tag, CVD diamonds offer a more affordable option. They provide the same sparkle and beauty as natural diamonds, making them a cost-effective way to elevate luxury watches.
Ethical and Environmental Benefits
As luxury consumers become more conscious of sustainability and ethical sourcing, CVD diamonds are gaining traction as the responsible choice. Buyers of luxury watches can enjoy the elegance and prestige of diamonds while supporting environmentally friendly practices.
Conclusion
Diamonds, including lab-grown options like CVD diamonds, play a pivotal role in luxury watches, enhancing their allure, elegance, and exclusivity. Whether adorning bezels, dials, or cases, diamonds add a touch of brilliance to timepieces that are already works of art. As CVD diamonds continue to grow in popularity, they are making luxury watches not only more affordable but also more ethically and environmentally sound.

Unique Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands
We get it. Size matters to you. And because it matters to you, it most definitely matters to us. We hear it time and time again, someone wants a 3 carat diamond ring and the first question is, “how much does a 3 carat diamond cost?” Well, darlings, you’re asking the wrong question. Think about it like buying a house, let’s say. You’re comparing a bunch of properties that are all the same square footage—but everything else is different.
Tumblr media
20 years ago, there was that teardrop ring. You know—the one that sent SJP running for the loo. And well, that certainly didn’t help this 500-year old shape’s reputation. But here we are, right on schedule, watching as teardrop cuts (aka pears) have another heyday.
Lab-grown diamonds, also known as synthetic diamonds, are lab diamonds that are created in a laboratory using a process called chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) synthesis. The process of creating lab-grown diamond is similar to the process of creating natural diamonds, but it takes place in a controlled environment.
Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. They have the same carbon composition, the same crystal structure, and the same optical properties. The only difference between lab diamond and natural diamonds is how they are created.
Diamonds in a lab, also known as synthetic diamonds or lab-grown diamonds, are diamonds that are created in a laboratory using a process called chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) synthesis. The process of creating lab-grown diamonds is similar to the process of creating natural diamonds, but it takes place in a controlled environment.
Growing diamonds in a lab is a process that has been around for decades, but it has only recently become commercially viable. The first lab-grown diamonds were created in the 1950s, but they were not very good quality. In recent years, however, the quality of lab-grown diamonds has improved significantly, and they are now indistinguishable from natural diamonds.
Tumblr media
Man-made diamonds are diamonds that are created by humans, either in a laboratory or by a natural process. Natural diamonds are formed over millions of years deep underground, under high pressure and heat. Man-made diamonds are created in a much shorter period of time, typically in a matter of weeks or months.
A wedding ring is a ring that is worn by a married couple to symbolize their love and commitment to each other. Engagement rings, on the other hand, are rings that are given to a person as a proposal of marriage. While wedding rings are typically made of gold or platinum, engagement rings can be made of a variety of materials, including diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. Unique engagement rings are engagement rings that are one- of-a-kind and not mass-produced. They can be made from unusual materials, have unique cuts or settings, or have special personal meaning to the wearer.

Bridgerton S3 Ideas
So, basically @honeyandsunflowers and I have had Bridgerton brain rot for the last week and we got to talking about Bridgerton Season 3 and what we want, so this is how I personally think episode one of season 3 should go.
Again, this is my personal opinion,. Also Shonda or CVD, on the impossible chance you’re reading this, I will work for pennies at this point.
Alright let’s go.
Episode One: THE WOMAN IN SILVER
-Wide shot, Mayfair, we sweep over until we land on the Bridgerton House, some kind of Lady Whistledown vo playing over the scenery. We zoom on on Bridgerton House.
-Anthony's pacing the house, staring at his pocket watch, Kate comes down with a smile. Anthony meets her gaze expectantly, Kate nods, Anthony sighs, we get some domestic banter and Anthony takes Kate in his arms and eventually Benedict interrupts them with a comment before Violet comes down with Hyacinth and Gregory. Anthony says something to effect of, "is she ready?" and Violet nods. Anthony shakes his head and goes, "let's hope this one's better than the last"
-CUT to the doors of the palace opening and we hear the announcement of Violet escorting Francesca forward, this is the first time we see her, very much resembling Daphne from the first season. She's perfect, graceful, and Kate and Anthony share proud gazes as she curtseys before the Queen, who smiles and announces her as the diamond of the season, comparing her to her sister. It's a moment of triumph, but we can see the slow discomfort stretching across Frannie's face.
-Kanthony has sexy times, Benedict bemoans his existence and refuses to touch his art while Eloise and him share banter about their respective existences. Benedict mentions Eloise's ink stained fingers and Eloise mentions the crumpled up pieces of paper on the floor. Neither of them wish to speak of it.
-The doorbell rings and Eloise assumes it's a suitor for Francesca, it's not. It's Penelope...dun dun dun. Eloise shuts the doors in Penelope's face.
-the first ball of the season occurs and it's low-key a disaster but not in the way you think. Kate manages to stop Anthony from turning every suitor away and Francesca manages to dance with quite a number of new suitors. Unfortunately this turns into a "who can pick the best suitor" contest for Kanthony which ends in hilarity. Benedict refuses to dance, and Eloise cannot hang out with Penelope anymore to avoid these things.
-Edwina (who had greeted the Bridgertons and Kate with Mary at the ball and has been hanging out with Francesca all night) saves Eloise from another dance and asks her why she's so reluctant to give men of the ton a chance. Both Eloise and Edwina have a chance to bond as Edwina admits she also sees intelligence as something she's attracted to, but was never allowed to voice it for fear of not seeming perfect, however seeing Kate marry for love freed her of that. Eloise tells her that there was someone, but she was scared and ran away. Edwina comforts her.
-Violet is speaking with Lady Danbury about Francesca's chances when Araminta shows up and asks if she'll be holding the Masquerade ball this year. Violet tells her that she hadn't thought about it, and Araminta makes some nasty comments about Kate and her lack of English manners which turns into a mocking session of India's cultures. Kate is directly behind her when she hears this and tells her that she will be planning the Masquerade this year, as Viscountess it is her duty after all. Araminta huffs and leaves with her daughters. Violet warns Kate about it and Kate tells her not to worry, she's planned plenty of soirees. Violet offers her help still and Kate thanks her.
-Francesca comes up and wonders when they'll play something more lively. There's some cute back and forth about her prospects and how she just needs the right partner, and right at that time Violet hears her named called out, she turns and who does she see? Janet and Helen Stirling. They catch up, Janet is introduced to Francesca and Helen says that Michael is around here somewhere, shrugging. Another dance finishes and Janet introduces Francesca to her son, who has just left the dance floor, we turn around and meet: John, who offers to dance the next one with Francesca. The moms and Kate smile as they watch the two of them talk.
-Lady Whistledown writes that the masquerade is happening. CUT to Sophie lounging in her servant's chamber, smiling at the latest edition of Whistledown. She lunges up when she hears the door open and Araminta and her daughters come through. Sophie serves them and they mock the Bridgertons, the Sharmas, and the scandal that happened last season. Araminta tells Sophie they need new dresses for the Masquerade ball and gives her their measurements to take to the modiste in order to ensure their costumes are perfect. Sophie nods and deals with Cressida’s outrageous demands and Posy’s need for validation when it comes to her costume which Sophie is happy to provide. Later, when she’s sewing up a tear in Cressida’s costume and laying out their nightgowns for the night, we hear Sophie humming to herself as she dances alone.
-Cut to the next day, Sophie is in Genevieve's shop with the measurements and preferred colors. Apparently the two know each other from years of Sophie working for Araminta. She talks about how she's always wanted to go to a ball and notices a beautiful fabric of silver. Genevieve offers to let her try it on, but Sophie refuses, saying that she could only ever attend the ball in her dreams, no matter how much she wants to go and instead thanks Genevieve as she gathers up the other dresses Araminta had commissioned. Genevieve watches with a curious gaze.
-Cut to Bridgerton House, Colin is returning from the country (after calling upon Sir Phillip to discuss plants again) and the room is flooded with flowers and love notes and gifts as Francesca is called upon nearly every hour. Anthony throws a fit as Kate challenges to find even one worthy suitor among them. They end up having sex again.
-Colin shows up and Francesca makes a choice remark about him not being there for her presentation day, nor Eloise's. She asks him if he had anything important to excuse him. “Daphne is nearing the due date of her newest child, and still she managed to at least make an appearance,” she chastises and Colin is unable to answer her, instead bearing an expression of guilt and something imperceptible. He apologizes and Frannie forgives him “but only because you are my most favorite brother” Anthony takes offense and Frannie replies with “you will start being my favorite once you stop trying to interfere with my plans to find a husband.” everyone laughs.
-Colin sits down next to Eloise and asks why Penelope isn’t around. Eloise, annoyed replies, “I’m not her keeper anymore” Colin asks if something happened and Eloise says nothing, which leads to Colin teasing her about what she’s writing. Eloise gets angry and throws a very public fit before announcing that she’s going out. “Where?” Colin asks and Eloise grumbles “Far away from you”
-Kate has begun to plan the Masquerade and is slowly drowning under all the stress. Kate is called to an audience with the Queen along with Edwina, where she announces that she can’t wait to see what Kate has in store, as she’s attending, only adding to the pressure. Edwina tries to help out her older sister but Kate is still freaking out about everything. Kate has a breakdown and ends up throwing up. Upset, she knocks on Mary’s door and asks for help. Mary suggests she seek out Violet. The two women have a moment where Kate asks when did Mary know she was ready to have children and Mary replies “when I met you of course”
-Benedict is strolling through Mayfair staring at the beautiful street paintings and doubting himself. He’s staring at one when a new voice enters the fray talking about how talented one must be to create something so beautiful from their imagination. Benedict turns and sees Sophie. The two converse and he asks if she’s an artist and she chuckles and says that she’s not, only an admirer. They have a fun conversation and Genevieve steps out from her shop with a box, she accidentally exposes Benedict’s identity as a Bridgerton and Sophie is mortified. Eventually she finds an excuse and leaves. Benedict and Genevieve share a bit of banter and it eventually turns serious as he asks why she stopped sleeping with him. Genevieve replies with “I am not in the habit of breaking hearts Mr Bridgerton, especially one as large as yours”
-Left with no other choice, Kate asks Violet for help and Violet calls the cavalry, bringing out the big guns as Mary, Edwina, and  a very pregnant Daphne all show up to help Kate pull this off, and they congratulate her for getting this far and Mary tells her it is not a failing to ask for help. We get a pleasant montage with Lady Whistledown VO. Invitations are sent, people are excited, and most of all Araminta is preparing her daughters to ensnare a Bridgerton. Sophie overhears the conversion as she helps Cressida and Posy. The scene is pretty much word for word from the book right down to the part where Sophie says she wishes to go to the ball and Araminta shuts her down.
-Later, as Sophie watches the coach disappear and prepares herself for an evening to herself, Genevieve shows up with a beautiful blue box. Sophie opens it up as gasps. Genevieve explains that she had Mrs. Gibbons sneak in and grab Sophie’s mother’s old gown-- passed down from Sophie’s grandmother when Sophie’s mom worked at the house--which she would’ve worn whenever she married. Genevieve spruced it up and added the silver fabric Sophie had admired. The servants help Genevieve get Sophie ready for the ball and hand her a silver mask. In a last ditch effort to rebel against Araminta, Sophie steals a pair of shoes. Off to the ball she goes.
-Benedict is bored as he watches Francesca dance with a masked man who looks like John and Anthony approaches him. The two have a tense conversation and Anthony tells him that Benedict has no need to marry so soon. Benedict mocks him and moves toward the drink table but is accosted by several women, who refer to him as just a Bridgerton which angers him to the point of nearly yelling. After drawing enough attention to him, he runs off. The Bridgerton clan huddles together and Francesca wonders what’s wrong. She is approached by someone she believes to be John but isn’t sure and takes the dance floor with him.
-Eloise wonders if she should run after Benedict but is stopped by Penelope who demands to talk to her. They have a brief argument where Eloise chastises Penelope for believing that she would reveal her secret and thankfully Edwina comes to the rescue by offering Eloise a turn in the gardens. She accepts.
-Penelope is then approached by Colin who asks for a dance. She says no very flippantly and when he asks why for surely her dance card cannot be full she admits “just because you do not see me worthy of courting doesnt mean others don’t”. The truth comes out, Colin apologizes and we get the heartbreaking line of “I never asked you to marry me, I never told anyone I wanted you to ask.” Anthony overhears this and asks Penelope to dance, to whom she says yes. Colin stands there wallowing in guilt.
-Violet approaches Benedict and they have a chat as she usually does with her children and invites him back to the ballroom, where she claims she won’t try to force anyone into dancing with him except his sisters. He jokingly asks if that includes Kate, cause Anthony would have his head for that and Violet laughs, the two of them walking back in as Sophie bursts through the doors. She draws the attention of everyone in the room and Benedict gapes as he asks “who is that?” Violet claims she has no idea but Benedict has already moved and offers his hand (preferably as a string version of Enchanted starts to play) which Sophie takes as they begin to dance.
-Basically the rest of the chapter happens pretty much word for word from there as Sophie and Benedict get to know each other, while in the subplots: Edwina tries to wrestle the truth from Eloise while admitting that she herself struggles with identifying the feeling of love, Kate tells Anthony that she quite enjoys being Viscountess although she admits she has a lot to learn. Anthony persuades her otherwise and Kate calls him “heroic” for dancing with Penelope which leads to more flirty banter. Francesca dances with her masked suitor.
-Eventually the dance ends and as Francesca is pulled away by another man, the suitor reveals his face and it is NOT John’s. Instead John comes up to the suitor with a glass of brandy and we find out that the mysterious man Francesca had been dancing with…was Michael. The two converse and then a few moments later a footman approaches both John and Michael with letters. When they open them, both men are wearing solemn looks on their faces.
-Araminta makes a scene which causes Colin to spurn Cressida and proclaim that he will never court her if it’s the last thing he does, which causes the crowd to gasp and Kate to step forward to try and diffuse the tension. Cressida and Araminta berate Kate and mock her efforts with the ball, which causes Anthony to throw them out early with several harsh words for each of them. The clock strikes five to twelve and Sophie catches wind of this while in the midst of her conversation with Benedict makes just as big of a scene, abandoning him as she rushes through the house and out the doors. Benedict calls after her, an embroidered glove in his hand, and the ball is left in stunned silence as Lady Whisteldown narrates.
Fade to Black. End of Episode One.

THANK YOU for saying what you said on twitter! I was seriously disappointed by this season and I’m tired of walking on eggshells around it. The heart of the Kathony story is their shared love for their families. And their families treated them terribly. Especially the Sharmas. I cannot forgive how Mary and Edwina treated Kate. And there was no resolution to that at all. The whole triangle storyline was yucky. Edwina was not “fleshed out” she was a plot device. I only rewatch Kathony scenes.
For context, this was my tweet:
Tumblr media
Prompted by, but not limited to, CVDs and Shonda's comments yesterday.
Am I about to get in trouble? I think I'm about to get in trouble.
Tumblr media
I have seen the tweets and the reaction some people have to any kind of criticism regarding season 2, and that's just not for me. It seems to be contained to Twitter, so I've been curating my timeline for the past month. I said it yesterday, and I'll repeat it: no one should be attacking anyone as long as you are respectfully stating your opinion. The fact that some people are doing it says more about them than I think they realise. Be respectful but call shit out; there are at least 2 other seasons left, we need to try and get heard.
I've been pretty much silent about the season so far because I didn't know what to say when I finished it the first (and only) time. It was pretty late when we finished binge-watching, and I'd had a long week, so I blamed the hype and my high expectations for the way I felt.
Instead, I created this happy bubble, reblogged gifs, read fic, gushed over edits and fanart... and I've been reluctant to burst that bubble. I did read the deep dives and the reviews that fans were writing, but there are aspects I can't comment on (because I'm white as snow).
Having said that: the season has issues.
It has issues with characterisation (hello, Edwina, my love, how's the whiplash?), plot, character motivations, pacing... I could make a 2000 word essay about it - I sent a 15-minute voice note to a friend of mine the other day ranting about the show, and I hadn't even moved past Kate and Anthony - so I'll try to summarise some "hot takes" (that aren't hot because everyone has already talked about it). Don't get me started with the Featheringtons, Benedict, Polin and Philloise... OR FRANCESCA (honestly, Frannie, babes. Just run away to Bath with Aunty Winnie, and we'll write you fic, we promise. We'll make Franchael Week a thing if we have to)
Edwina:
Let's start with the elephant in the room. The only "nice" way I can describe my feelings about the Edwina arc is: I see what you were trying to do, but you didn't do it.
What we know about Edwina from the books is that, yes, she is innocent, but she is also intelligent. Edwina knows that her family is not doing great financially, no matter how much Kate and Mary try to hide it from her, and that's why she pushes for Anthony - she knows that Anthony will give her the security she and her family need.
What we see from Edwina in the show is that she is young and naive, and incredibly sweet. You understand why Kate wants to protect her, it makes the audience want to protect her, I was in love with her from the beginning. When we meet Edwina at the beginning, we very quickly see a side of her that is unsure, almost as if she knows this is their big chance, and she feels all the pressure she is hiding. "I hope they like me," she says, and you feel for her. Then, she tells Kate she wants Anthony because he is honest in episode 2, and there was this moment in episode 3 when I had hope for her character development and depth. When Edwina doesn't get proposed to at dinner, and she cries when Kate is doing her hair, she chastises herself, "I should have been better, I should've known better..." and I thought we were going to see what was under the surface of this perfect diamond. And then, we just didn't.
They made Edwina fall in love with this perfect persona Anthony kept presenting, and she wouldn't listen to anyone: not her sister, not Daphne, not all the noise Anthony's eyes must've made while he looked at Kate like I look at chocolate cake.
And still, even after the proposal, there would have been hope for something more. They could have fixed it, which brings me to...
Mary:
*long and deep sigh* I will never forgive them for turning Mary into a doormat. You can take Mary out of the entire season, plop her in for episodes 7 and 8 and nothing changes, and it breaks my heart because I LOVE Mary. She could've just tried to find Kate in ep 6, and she would've won so many browny points in my book.
Kate is completely alone until she falls off that horse (aka Mufasa the horse pulls a Scar):
I don't have words to explain how much this hurts. Kate, who sacrifices her future and happiness for her sister; who is ready to let the man she loves go so Edwina can marry and love him instead; Kate, who has no prospects and is going to leave once the season is over to go back home and will be forced to live through others. Kate is isolated from everyone the entire season, and all everyone can do is be angry at her for things.
Anthony is angry because he can't feel feelings, and now he has them for her, and it's all her fault.
Lady Danbury gets angry because she knows that there's something between K&A while Anthony is pursuing Edwina. You know, the match that Kate has been against since the very beginning? The one LD pushed for? The same LD that will talk to Kate about her part in the emotional affair but never calls Anthony out?
Edwina is angry, and she's not even angry with Kate for the right reasons! Be angry because your sister pushed you until you met all these standards, and she was projecting her idea of perfection onto you, not because she is willing to sacrifice everything for you even if it destroys her! What? Episode 6 is a shitshow, and it shouldn't exist.
I could go on, but I think I've ranted enough. My asks are always open if anyone wants to talk about the season and its characters.

Ok so I’m glad I’m not the only one upset by Ruby’s recasting, and maybe it’s because I prefer continuity in shows, but even if they’re going with a time jump I don’t want them to recast Florence and Will. They really did Ruby wrong in s1, they took other creative liberties from the books they easily could have given her more of a role.
I want to give Hannah a chance but she doesn’t have the same likeness to Ruby it’s just gonna feel off
Shoutout to the GC esp Zara, Belle and Trivia @jeanvanjer @sophiamariabeckett @hptriviachamp for the great points and discussion on the kiddos! And thanks to Tessa @margoshansons and Lav @sweetestviscount for the final look and approval!

Okay so hello anon, while I do agree with all the parts about Ruby and Frannie but I do have to set the record straight about Florence and Will!
These children are minors and if production wants to do a time jump for the Book 4 to 6 of it all, I damn well hope they recast Flo and Will because:
1) They do not look the ages (21 for Hy/Flo and 23 for Greg/Will) they are supposed to be in 1824
2) For their seasons, their characters would be fully grown adults (Hy would be 22 and Greg would be 26). While I loved how HP had the kids growing up, they never had explicit scenes to the degree that Bridgerton does. I would not be comfortable seeing them be in sex scenes in their seasons. Mainly because I saw them growing up on the show and associate them to be the babies of the family. So unless it's completely their choice to continue (if they are their characters' ages if we even get to their seasons), I think they should definitely be recasted.
Also it's worth mentioning some people have been weirdos about Flo since the show aired and so honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Will and Flo step away from their seasons.
As the GC says: PROTECT THE CHILDREN AND DON'T BE GROSS ABOUT THEM!
***
Now that I've cleared that up, let's talk about the Hannah and Ruby of it all.
So in S1, what I understand is Ruby was doing her movie, A Banquet (which I highly recommend yall to watch this is exactly how I knew she'd kill WHWW's storyline and season) so the production schedules clashed so she couldn't be in it more but then again I imagine they didn't give her a lot of scenes so it was okay she was in two productions at the same time.
What I'm pissed about is they didn't guarantee her a storyline in S2 - yeah okay whatever CVD you wanted to give her a bigger storyline but obviously you didn't act fast enough that she decided to find another job still - and so she took her chances and auditioned for another Netflix lead and SHE GOT IT!! I was SO proud of her like get that coin and role to shine in sis!!
Unless it was Ruby’s choice to leave cos she was getting shit screen time (I mean when they wasted it on a single season character like Cousin Jack and LW’s stupid operations both of whom had zero impact on the season) I don’t blame her for leaving and respect her wishes. But if it’s really Shondaland fucking up and not giving a shit about Ruby, then shame on them for dropping the ball, dropping her and going with the easy option of recasting.
Now for S3 with Frannie’s debut coming up with Benophie’s story, obviously they NEEDED to give Ruby and Frannie more of a real storyline and I being a clown thought ‘Oh wait Lockwood and Bridgerton are both Netflix shows, they can work out a joint production schedule to let Ruby work on both!’
Also if I’m not wrong Lockwood started production shortly after announcing Ruby as the lead so they have a couple of months of shooting ahead of S3, Ruby would have been free by the time S3 started shooting so why didn’t they bring her back??
Two good things I’ll say about Hannah’s casting is that she is gorgeous (so Michael being shook by her when he first sees her and her being a diamond makes sense - it made sense with Ruby too but Hannah looks A LOT like Daphne aka the diamond benchmark of the show - I’ll talk more about their similarity later) and while she does look a tad older than Frannie’s 16 next season, I hope this means she’ll be coupled with the older 5 sibs and not be a baby with G&H anymore! (Also wifey @/sophiamariabeckett does this mean we’ll finally get Fran on mag covers uwu?)
So I mentioned Hannah looking a lot like Daphne and by extension Phoebe and not to mention she’s exactly a month younger than Pheebs. I have a feeling that she had auditioned for Daphne before this recast and she must have stood out in some way for the casting directors to keep her in mind still. So that gives me hope about her acting. I just hope we don’t have another miscast with the Bridgerton siblings - one is enough (no I’m not going to name them but IYKYK)
Other than that, Ruby fit Frannie’s vibe, age and looks better for me than Hannah does so I won’t comment on Hannah after this until I’ve seen her act as Frannie. I don’t have much to say on her right now and I honestly cannot judge until I’ve seen her act. That’s all I have to say about the casting news so only talk to me about Ruby’s Fran or Book Fran until S3 drops then I’ll revisit this.
Thanks everyone for reading til here and for the anon for sending this ask, just be mindful of what we talk about regarding the kiddos!! They are still minors and should be protected!

The Role of Watch Dials Manufacturers in the Luxury Watch Industry
In the luxury watch industry, the dial is often regarded as the "face" of the timepiece, and watch dials manufacturers play an essential role in defining a brand’s identity. They bring to life the intricate designs and unique color palettes that appeal to discerning buyers. High-end materials such as mother-of-pearl, precious metals, and gemstones are commonly used. Manufacturers also focus on the tiniest details—texture, depth, and finishing techniques—that can elevate a dial from ordinary to extraordinary. Their craftsmanship directly impacts the desirability and exclusivity of luxury watches, making them key players in the success of prestigious watchmakers.
