gegegegegegege this mf and the fact that he probably knew he was going to die and let fate guide him to the death anyways because it was his life or some horrible fate for someone else how he's tormented by his past acts that hurt mk how he feels like the world is out to get him and how events lead to him trying to shut himself off from the world and how he just wants to be left alone how revenge was his fatal flaw at one point but he overcomes that and that allows him to understand the main villain on another level how he grows, and gains a support system his past self didn't have, and how he becomes someone new how he doesn't let fate dictate him like it did in the past, and how he fights himself so hard to get what his brain denies him but his heart craves how his past life felt he only shined because Wukong did but how Mac becomes a hero in his own right and so, so much more ;-;
