Hi Aria Here! This is my 2ndweek in my CVAP Journey. I also Included some screenshots. Our head Trainors today are KabaBryan and Voice Pappy. KabaBryan give us some advise on the hardware and software side of voice acting the things you might invest in if you will pursue voice acting career. - for me i bought a mic although i thinks its for streaming purposes only. but i think it is a good mic. I used this mic for recording the Mcdo CM and the Serino AVP. this is a fifine MIc i bought in lazada and i think its good because i dont need to use a noise reduction editing for recording my voice Anyway, for the Afternoon Session, Voice Pappy to my fellow Voicemates "The formula for creating character voices consists of six elements that you can combine. Once you master this, you can undoubtedly produce thousands of voices using your own voice." I was really interested in this because i am more of an anime fan. so I am Interested in Character voice. its like i don;t see myself a Narrator or a host for a show because i am quite of an introvert. During this topic I am called for voice acting live. so i was really nervous but i think i kind of passed it.

My C.V.A.P. Week 4 Journey Time Flies So Fast! Last week of our CVAP Session ☹
“It’s crazy how fast time flies and how things progress,” I can say ito iyong best quotes na makakapagdescribe sa nararamdaman at experience ko sa aming last session sa CVAP. Huhuh… Actually it’s a sad and happy week. Sad kasi last session na, it seems I really want an extension and more session pa. At the same time happy of course, sa apat na linggong nagdaan super daming kaganapan at syempre super daming learnings ang aming natutunan. Sobrang happy to have these kind of crazy, makukulit, may kanya-kanyang topak yet very supportive, very diligent at very helpful na mga kagroupmates. At syempre we are so blessed to have our mga dyosang mentors na sina Mentor Gracia and Mentor Jonathan, with these two mentors of us kami ay mas nagiging motivated to do all the assigned tasks sa amin. Our mentors are very supportive at hands-on sa amin. They really serve as our guide. They push as to unleash all our potentials, sabi nga sa kanta they gave us wings to fly. Sila iyong tipo ng mga mentor na mafeel mo talaga iyong love and support kasi bibigyan ka nila ng freedom to do and explore things yet they are always willing to be there to correct your mistakes and guide you to be back in the right track. And syempe super happy and blessed din talaga to be part of this batch 27. Grabe solid iyong inspiration and motivation na ibinibigay ng bawat isa. I admire all my batchmates kasi they are very humble despite most of them is talagang you know… nakakaangat-angat and may say na talaga sa industry at sa maraming bagay. Masasabi kong I found a new family in CVAP. Starting with our batchmates hanggang sa aming mga BRmates, mentors, trainers, secretariat and hosts ng aming bawat sessions. He is a master yet a very humble and passionate man.
Speaking of being a certified voice artist, this last session gave us a BANG talaga because of the presence ng isang Ma’am Lyn Gonzales. Through her presence, mas nalaman namin ang mga legalities about being on the industry. Super nakaka-motivate lang kasi imagine we are one step closer to our dreams na maging certified voice artist.
From their advice, we learned a lot of things and masasabi namin na still our journey never stop as we end our session in CVAP Batch 27. I am very much willing to volunteer and share also everything na natutunan ko sa aming mga mtraining. Maaari mang nagtapos na ang aming training sa CVAP, this is only just a beginning of greater things that is waiting for all of us, as Voice Artist. Mula sa kaibuturan ng aking puso, “SALAMAT CERTIFIED VOICE ARTIST PROGAM-CVAP SA PAG-PAPAALAB PA NG AKING PANGARAP AT PASSION NA MAGING ISANG VOICE-ARTIST! More Power to everyone and may God Bless us all!”

CVAP Blog Week 2
So despite week 2 of the program having less overall submissions to do, it was more hectic than the first week. All the collaborating and writing and re-writing we had to do for our Zoomarte script was honestly exhausting, but it was also really fulfilling getting to collude with like-minded voice artists in my BR.
I put off doing any of my homework until the end of the week because I was expecting my new Alctron acoustic filter to arrive some time within the week. Unfortunately, it got delayed. I was expecting to begin doing work Friday morning, but I got an email saying that it'll be delivered on the day, so I ended up delaying everything even more! Yes, I'm putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself, but after trying my mic with the Alctron PF8, I'd say the hassle was worth the wait. Everything sounds so good!
Then there was the issue of me overdoing my character voices. I wanted to do a certain voice, but it also involved a lot of screaming. After around four takes, I realized that my throat was beginning to hurt so I had to actually stop doing anything involving my voice. It hampered my recital for our Zoomarte, but my voicemates and mentors were thankfully understanding.
All of this is on top of worrying and sweating bullets about a voice acting project I've written and am directing, and am currently in the process of casting for.
Sufficed to say, this week has been busy. But it's also been productive.

The Pursuit of Passion: New Learnings and Insights Week 2
Time flies so fast! I can't believe that we just finish the second week of our workshop with Certified Voice Artist Program.
If you really love what you're doing hindi ka talaga makakaramdam ng buryo at palagi kang excited sa mga susunod na mangyayari.
In my first week of workshop with CVAP, i was able to learned about the myths in voice acting etc. ngayong second week sobrang daming learnings such as technicalities, voice elements grabe ang dami, by the way its a sum of 2 sessions 9am to 5pm. I don't know but i'm amazed na di ako na overwhelm at inantok even though whole night akong awake because of my night job.
I know it's given that i really love what i'm doing kaya di ako naiinip but i can say kaya di boring ang sessions dahil sa Hosts and trainer.
In first session our Trainer is Kababryan (Vibryant Voice is his voice brand), imagine technical ang topic every details of equipment in voice artistry that the voice artist must have ay diniscuss, if you can imagine it at first masasabi mo boring but believe me with this people, Nooo its not boring at all! KUDOS talaga.
In second session it was with Papa Lem, By the way i'm one of his scholar at sobrang laki ng pagpapasalamat ko talaga na napili nya ko maging scholar, he's the bridge para matupad ang pangarap ko.
Second session, topic was about voice variety, voice elements such as Pitch, Volume, Pitch character, Tempo, Rhythm and many more. i just wanna share with you, my attention span is super iksi kaya di ko kaya magfocus ng matagal sa isang bagay, kaya din since i was a student yung galing ko sa subject ay nakadepende sa teaching technique ng teacher, kaya ko nasingit yun dito dahil na amaze ako kay Papa Lem no wonder he has a lot of awards and recognition and why he's a Head Trainer.
Buong session tila kwentuhan pero puno ng learnings, actually audio from headset i changed it to speaker para makarelate family ko sa tawa ko sa pagpapatawa ni Papa Lem and when i changed it to headset nagalit sila kasi nakikinig daw sila HAHA ganun kaenjoy ang session.
If nabasa mo ang first blog ko makikita mo na sinabi ko doon na weakness ko ang immitating characters, but while following the instructions of Papa Lem i discovered kaya ko pala immitate si Elmo, Mickey Mouse and i think Sakura din (but more practice pa).
It's really true talaga na di require ang immitation sa pag voice artistry dahil by just following the correct pattern, placement of pitch, pitch character, tempo, rythm etc. you will be able to create a character.
And also, i was able to learn the importance of Pitch placement sa voiceover para magkaroon ng emotion at mahiglight ang important informations sa script mo.
Ang galing talaga!
Batch 27 was so lucky dahil before the end of the session VoiceMaster Pocholo Gonzales was there and lalo kaming nabuhayan, para kang nakikinig ng isang podcast with sample voiceacting pa. Congratulations Sir Choi you deserve all of the success and blessings.
And i'm so greatful and excited sa week 3. <3

CVAP BLOG 4: WHAT NEXT?
Week 1 of CVAP taught me how to find my niche and create my own brand. Week 2 of CVAP taught me about setting up my studio and basic editing skills to jumpstart my VA career, while Week 3 taught me how to take care of my voice as well as the process VAs go through in the industry. So then...what comes next? Well, Week 4 answers that question. It goes into depth about setting up your resume, the legal stuff, and opportunities available out there.
As for me... I don't even know if I can graduate as of writing this blog 🥲 (less than 2 hrs away from the deadline), but hopefully we'll make it? Either way, I will apply all the things I learned from CVAP moving forward, whether or not I actually pursue this industry (maybe in the future!), because these learnings are invaluable :3

Week 2 in CVAP!
Hey everyone we are talking about week 2 yeah!
I think I remember I was kinda late but I still went anyway thankfully, thank goodness.
We watch the previous batch recital. It was weird but funny at the same time. I knew about this because my brother was part of the previous batch recital. Is just that I never watch it because I wanted to be surprised when it finished, and then I forgot about it a few weeks later, but thankfully I get to watch it here. It was a snow white story but make it a modern Filipino comedy thing? With a musical unexpectedly. well actually is not unexpected it kind of makes sense.
I remember we talked about the main elements of voice acting, also how to establish my brand, and how to market my talent as a voice artist. I have volunteered when it comes to sample voicing things?. However, there was a time when I tongue-twisted because the sample sentence was a lot and I needed to say it fast. Well that was embarrassing lol XD
Anyway, that is the only thing I can say. now we go to week 3 woohoo!

Episode 2: Journey to Niche!
Take risks. It's not about winning or losing. It's about trying.
Hey, it's MC...Voices!
Great day, voicemates! Another week, another blog! It's been like 2 weeks since I joined the Certified Voice Artist Program - Batch 26. It's becoming a lot more productive and as I progress through the program, Week 2 became a whirlwind of knowledge and insightful discussions.
I actually woke up early and joined the Zoom meeting before it started, 'cause I was really excited for what they have prepared for us. For this week, we delved into discussions about essential equipment/s needed for professional voiceovers, voiceover-specific vocabulary, basics of audio editing, and finding our own niche. In the afternoon session, we focused on developing our voices, marketing our talents, voice variety, creating character voices- wherein we actually tried doing it by some hands-on practices with scripts, and using social media as a marketing tool. So this is like a recap on what we actually did and discussed throughout the whole session.
Morning Session: Building the Foundation
So for the morning session, CVAP prepared some recorded videos that talks about basic equipment required for doing voiceover professionally. And our trainer for this was Mr. Bryan Dave Perez which where he gave us advices and some recommendations too on what equipment should we use such as microphones, cables, and other things that a voice artist needs. I actually listed them down, just for future purposes and if I already had the means of buying it then, I would. I was also happy to see that the video that was shown is at CreatiVoices Studios at Makati City. We were taught about voiceover vocabulary related and basic audio editing also that I greatly appreciate. I really think that these are some things that we need to know and learn, like for starters.
And lastly, about finding my own, unique niche. I think it's really important to actually know what you want. What particular skill that you need to focus to, or like what you need to establish, what voice you have, what can you do - type of projects, character voices, voiceovers that you enjoy doing and you still want to study.
This made me think that identifying a niche is crucial for standing out in the voiceover industry. It's really important that I must align my niche with my strengths and passion, but could still experiment, explore, and like discover where my voice fits best.
Afternoon Session: Refining Skills and Marketing
"Do something today that your future self will thank you for."
This is how our afternoon session started, our trainer, Mr. Harlem Jude Ferolino aka Papa Lem, introduced to us on how we develop our voice and market our talent. Building a strong online presence and networking with industry professionals were the key points of the discussion. We were also taught about the 3 Elements - Pitch, Volume, and Tempo which leads into the formula in Creating Character Voices - Pitch, Pitch Character, Tempo, Rhythm, Placement, and Mouthwork. In this part of the discussion, I was getting entertained by how we did some hands-on exercise by doing lines, voiceovers, script for advertisement etc. Even though I didn't actually volunteer, I tried them a lot by myself, muted and did a lot of samples by saying the same as what the other voicemates did.
I also loved that fact that the session ended with some "Voice Pappy Thoughts" that made me feel like I could do a lot. By the phrase "DO what you LOVE. LOVE what you DO" and that is somewhat interconnected on finding my NICHE that highlighted the whole session.
After the Q&A session with Papa Lem, I was called for a Zoomustahan and for me to answer questions on what we talked about for the whole discussion for Week 2. I shared things about that most unforgettable part of the session and that is finding my niche and do what i love as I love what I do. I really felt like I've gained a deeper appreciation for voice artistry as well as myself. For taking greater steps, finding my purpose, and for doing what I really love.
Week 2 has been incredibly enriching. From the morning session up until the afternoon, this has been a lot but it further equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and even confidence that I really need in order to continue the path that I'm taking in this dynamic industry.
Oh! Before I forgot, I was also tasked by Hosts Janna and Ron H to choose a number that contained lyrics from BINI's songs. I chose number 4 and lyrics from Na Na Na - BINI showed up and from the wheel of character voices - Tiyanak appeared. I was really laughing and tossing around, I felt a lot of emotions while I sang (?) or like I just did it embarrassingly. Can you imagine? Tiyanak that could sing! HAHAHAHAHAHAA (sorry, this is so funny to me). But well, I really did enjoy doing that kind of impression. Batch 26 voicemates, hosts, and even our trainers, I believed they were having fun as well. They said they love it. I'm so glad. I'm happy I did that. It was so fun, I think it is the highlight part of the session for me.
And I just feel like I could do a lot more.
I suppose there will be a whole lot more so stay tuned as I continue to share my journey and the insights I gather along the way!
from me to you,
MC

Week 2 Blog: Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP)
Masaya ang week 2 session. At morning session I thought it will be a good morning but it was a surprise morning. I was called out to perform through my voice about expressing the disgust emotion from Inside Out by sharing my audio setup. My performance did not go well because I just woke up and was not ready. However, the hosts/mentors and voicemates are very supportive to me and it was also a priceless moment in my journey on CVAP. Moving on, we had 2 trainers in week 2 session. On morning session, he is sir Bryan Dave Perez AKA Kaba-Bryan. On noon session he is Harlem Jude Ferolino AKA Papa Lem. Sir Bryan shared his experiences on his caeer. He tought a lot of informations regarding on how to set up your own home studio and different recording studio devices. He discussed about different types of microphones, how it functions, studio accessories, and teaches us on how to edit a recorded voice over. He also make a tour on CreativSounds Studios.
Papa Lem is a fun trainor. He teaches a lot of techniques in voice artistry, social media marketing and how to develop you voice capability. That when I realized being a voice artist was never easy yet an inspiring journey to make on. I was really amazed of Papa Lem's talent. He can do many voices from different characters, advertisements and also like a 10 man character in one story. I do not know how to specifically describe what Papa Lem is capable to his voice but he is just purely amazing! That is no doubt, he is a man of his own experiences. Aside from that, me and my voicemates had fun on trying out our voices, from different pitch, pitch character, placement, rhythm, tempo, and mouth work, from the presentation with provided scripts of Papa Lem.
It was physically exhausting because of the 8 hour straight session. But I had another inspiring week session in my journey on CVAP. I will look forward on our week 3 session. Thank you so much everyone!

Ang voice over at character voice . Ano nga ba ang Voice over?
Pangalawa. Dapat hanapin natin ang ating niche o ang ating target market. Saan nga ba tayo mas mahusay?
At pangatlo.
And I am looking forward for the next week session.

CVAP WEEK 2: Know your weapon (Equipment)
Hi everyone, Welcome to Vocal Tod! Apologies to a very late posts about my experiences with CVAP Journey! (Been busy and Sick)
So what are my experiences with my CVAP Week 2? During Week 2 CVAP training, we had discussed about the equipment that we could use for our voice acting career. During the morning discussions, the guest speakers, Sir Navi discussed about different types of mic and their functions, a basic tour with sir Navi inside the studio of CVAP and suggestions of how to have a simple set up.
During the afternoon session we discussed the icon for ourselves in the world of voice acting. We discussed how to have our niche, different range of our voices, pitches, and more that could add more character to our voices.

My C.V.A.P. Week 2 Journey Paano Ba Maging Isang Mahusay na Voice Artist?
“Know yourself to improve yourself,” this quotation sums up all the learnings that I have gain from my week 2 journey in CVAP Training/Session. Parang noong nakaraang linggo lang super excited ako sa kung ano ang ma-eexperience ko sa CVAP, and now here I am, mas lalong nadadagdagan ang excitement at pag-aalab ng aking damdamin na mas i-pursue pa ang aking passion sa Voice Artistry.
Masasabi kong itong pangalawang linggo ng aming training is a very enjoyable one. Super happy that Sir Bryan gave us a virtual tour sa CreativSounds Studio. How I wish and dream na makapunta doon at ma-experience ang makapag-record ng sarili kong Voice Over or dubbing project. In addition to our morning session with Sir Bryan, super nag-enjoy ako noong binigyan niya kami ng chance to try different roles sa pagvo-voice-over. Same to what Papalem or sir Harlem did to us in our afternoon session. Aside sa pagpapasakit ng aming mga panga kakatawa sa kanyang mga punchline at mash-up super nag-enjoy kami to learn a lot of things from him. He gave us a lot of tips and inspiration on how to become a good voice artist. Actually, hindi lang pagiging good voice-artist ang itinuro niya sa amin, itinuro din niya kung paano maging isang voice artist na may puso at good character. Our trainers this day, help us also to know more ourselves as a voice artist.
In short, a key for being a good voice artist is to know yourself well, have an open mind and heart and be disciplined all the time.

CERTIFIED VOICE ARTIST PROGRAM MY SECOND WEEK EXPERIENCE I am Keane Carl Romulo C. Borre, a passionate 19-year old with a deep-rooted dedication to public service, journalism, and voice artistry. Since the second session is finished. I'm here today to tell you what happened during the second session of CVAP Batch 23.
We discussed the equipment utilized throughout the recording process, among other things. Basic editing and like. The component used to create character voices. We also attempted some advertisements with varying pitches, volumes, tempos, and so on. But this simple notion got my attention. "Sa buhay mo kailangan mo talaga minsan ng taga-push"
I completely agree with this concept since I, too, become fatigued and unhappy with myself when I am unable to complete the tasks at hand. With that reasons I'm losing my tracks or I'm afraid to do it because of the thought of "Baka magkamali", "Baka hindi ko kakayanin", o "Hindi ko alam yan." However, my family and close friends were always there for me when I needed someone to rely on. I needed a little push. They became my consolation and backbone for all of my triumphs. I'm extremely grateful to everyone who has pushed me beyond my own assumptions of my abilities to perform such things.
You know, It doesn't matter if you don't have the skill; as long as you know how to learn and are committed and consistent, you can do it. Always keep an open mind and consider both sides. We cannot simply abandon ourselves in the middle of adversity by stating, "We are not perfect." Yes, we are not perfect, but we are striving to be better, which is a positive mindset for achieving higher performance.
Do not limit yourself; instead, trust and believe in yourself. If there is something we need to unlearn, we should re-learn. That's for my Session 2, CVAP Batch 23! See y'all on my next Blog!

CVAP week 2 blog LET'S GET ITTTT
This is gonna be a more casual blog, because I’m just way too excited…
And we have accomplished the 2nd week of our CVAP workshops and seminars!
Gotta say, I REAAAALLY liked the topic this week: firstly, we discussed the technical aspects- setting up a microphone, sound proofing/sound enhancement, a studio, and utilizing appropriate sound programs.
It was very informative how the different types of microphones were presented to me and my batchmates… Honestly, I really like the prospect and convenience of a USB microphone. Portable, light, and with the dawn of new technology, pretty powerful and high quality in its own right. However, I do realize that recording of voices and sounds works on a “to each their own” basis; I suppose different microphones could be used for varying situations and contexts.
Personally, I’ve always just used my cellphone to record, which admittedly has an incredible level of detail pickup. The good side is, I can record all the little nuances in my voice when I sing or speak. The downside? Enjoy mouth popping! HAHAHHA
But see, this is why it’s sooo important to set up the STUDIO AS A WHOLE. Just like how every voice artistry effort needs a TEAAAAMMMM.
This isn’t a one-man-band show! (Though if you ARE handy at these things all by yourself, then golly you have all my respect. *throws glitter in the air*)
Moving onto the next topic…
“Our voice is not just a gift, it is a choice” – POCHOLOGY
Sooo I really, really, REAAAALLY like character voicing. Az a fandom gal, I enjoy the dramatic, artistic, and dynamic effort that goes into creating a BELIEVABLE CHARACTER VOICE or CHARACTER MOOD.
Fun fact about me: I’m a speech-language pathologist, so I am quite knowledgeable about the mechanism of our vocal anatomy, and how one can stretch their vocal folds reaaaal thin and taut to make that high-pitched squeaky voice, and how to rumble that resonation deeeeep in your chest with the power of the diaphragm to sound like Mufasa (Shenzi the hyena says: ooooh).
So many elements go into the creation of a character voice. Pitch, volume, and tempo are needed, to name a few. And goodness, if you’re gonna make a character voice, you better be able to sustain it… I’ve heard of SO many people needing intense voice rest or getting functional laryngeal injuries and tension due to vocal abuse from voicework.
I guess it goes hand-in-hand with the motto of CVAP (“someone out there needs to hear your voice”); we need to use our voice also to promote good and healthy habits, especially if we’ll want to inspire others through voice artistry.
Going back to creating character voices… the dynamicity of doing varied voices depends on how well we hone our skills. And I have learned that in order to create believable, appropriate, and unique character voices, we’ll need to be able to manipulate and master the elements of character voicing (ex. Perhaps doing a vocal sweep can help us find our range, besides warm up our pitch scales).
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading this post. Super duper excited for the rest of the CVAP sessions.
Great day, everyone! And God bless!
-Athena

CVAP BLOG 2: LIMITED BUT NOT LIMITING
Whenever I watch podcasts (before !!) or come across clips of people doing voiceovers/acting, I would always see these high-tech-looking equipment. I knew those cool stuff made people's voices nicer or more accurately—they made the voice quality better, but I didn't really think much of it until I had to record my own voice with my phone.
If you still remember, I mentioned in my first blog that I attended a 1-day CVAP workshop. I actually got to do voiceover using a (i forgot the model ><) microphone. It's just crazy to think how much difference it makes when you actually have THE equipment.
Although I learned from Week 2 that there are many affordable options out there, college really took a blow on my expenses :/ so I'm going to have to rely on my good old phone microphone and earphones for now. I may be limited in equipment, but it doesn't limit me from using my voice!
But hopefully, hopefully! I will be able to buy my own mic soon ^—^

Week 1 in CVAP!
This is super late so apologies about this but anyway. I will talk about my experience in the first week of the CVAP. To be fair I wasn’t really in the Zoom because I was busy with my finals O_O
I was also too sleep-deprived at that time too hehe XD. However, I did watch the recordings. I hope I can still remember the details hehe. But anyway of course there are going to be introductions of the program, knowing who is in the CVAP program. Like the mentors, hosts, guests, and my classmates, the usual.
I remember that they talked about the popular myths in voice acting AND the must-haves in voice acting. The CVAP culture, which has the vision, mission, and core values.
They talk about who is going to be in my group. The activity was making a BR Introduction activity. Making our group name and also how to present in 3-5 minutes, either like a podcast, radio drama something like that. Too bad I wasn’t there to be a part of it dang ><
Anyway, that is all the things I can say in Week 1. I will be posting Week 2 right about now lol XD
