Happy STS! What are your OCs' favorite books? If they don't have one, what's their favorite comic?

i don't really have many bookish ocs, and those that are mainly read nonfiction because they are nerds involved in how the magic in their world works. eak's favorite book is a bestiary, enzo's is not really a book but an encoded diary he found on a yard sale, and karma's is a compilation of traditional tales from his country his mom used to read to him when he was small (and then the rest of his top 100 is filled with science stuff about his island's inner workings and alchemy)

(some of my ocs from these wips would enjoy reading if they lived in a modern era but alas, they have Many Problems preventing from even reading. so)

that said, arion, who does live in the modern era (even if there's some magic) does love to read (he's seven). his favorite book is a spooky retelling of Hansel and Gretel for kids. other stories he enjoyed are the httyd books and dragon rider (because dragons !!!!!!!) and goosebumps (because spooky)

26. How would these characters react to being stuck in a small room with each other?

(assuming they can't just get out with their powers/abilities)

cubs from different species that bonded must not separate: ira and karma would just chill (ira would try to get out not because she's bothered at being stuck with karma but because someone dared to lock her in anywhere)

hand in unlovable hand but no one else would take the other so they are stuck: assuming ely couldn't just teleport outta there, lyric would try to kill them and then they'd argue (and probably end up making out tbf)

i know society as we know it is disintegrating but you are kinda cute: enzo would be a blushing mess and ceres would be too (internally). it would be very painfully awkward and not a single word would be exchanged (sirio probably stuck them in there)

smartest people apart share a singular chaos braincell when together: sirio and enzo would play card games until someone rescued them (sirio always carries a stack)

i joke about babysitting you but idk what i'd do without you (platonic): uncomfortable without the buffer lyric offers, but eventually hannah and akira would get talking (and end up trash talking lyric, who probably locked them in there)

i care so much about you but i only know jokes and hanging out: just another day in garvan's life; karma would resort to brainstorming ideas and he'd listen and help where he could

god's coming back we gotta work together and i dont like people but i might like you: aira would rather face the wall than talk to eak at all because she's not getting attached, while eak would eventually give up to try and have a conversation and get his diary out to sketch some monsters (aira would then be interested but would say nothing because she's. not. getting. attached, i tell you)

*hisses at you* *hisses back* *respectful nod* *respectful nod*: sher is terrified and ira would enjoy taunting him and would also go at him for being mean to karma. sher would defend himself and to everyone's surprise they might come out of it liking each other

It's blorbsday! What are some really specific, not necessarily plot-influencing goals that your blorbs have? Something small they'd like to change about themselves, or a frivolous skill they'd like to learn, or someplace they want to travel, etc.

most of my ocs are pretty much stuck in survival mode so most of their goals do relate to their plots

only one i can think about that's not plot related is Eak (Cor Vitae) meaning to picking up painting. he's already good at sketching real life subjects for his research, but he would like to be able to add color and a realistic render to his illustrations just so they look prettier (the dork)

if Enzo (project:nemesis) wasn't stressed and with a declining mental health because Plot, he'd want to make a mixtape for Ceres that struck the balance in between "I have a giant crush on you" and being suave and cool

as for the ocs not stuck in survival mode, there's Chimera (Tales From Beyond) who's focusing on learning more skateboarding tricks. he would also love to see the sea some day. Arion's (also from tfb) very specific (tho plot related) goal is to solve a 150 plus year old murder that happened in the house he's living in now, which i find really funny because he's seven
