#cuz i have an idea that's been living in my head for AAAAGES and i can't seem to make myself actually write it

So you remember the Tokoyami parent designs I did aaaages ago - believe it or not I have been working on other parent designs but as with most of my art I have not been able to put a lot of work into the designs due to work and other things. So I figured I’d do a post with some rambles for ideas I had!

Kirishima’s mum

-I like the idea of Kiri having a single parent, his whole respect for manliness and such is due to the fact that as a kid he grew up without a dad, and so ended up seeking praise from the male family friends he knew. 

-His mother’s quirk is kind of similar to his own, his mothers quirk is called spike - she can creat sharp spikes from any part of her body, she can control the size and sharpness of each spike. The draw back to her quirk is that activating more spikes over her body will limit her movement

-His mum and dad where both young and reckless, his mum previously was a wrestler before she became pregnant and had to take an early retirement. Kiri’s dad didn’t want kids, and with the two now having different goals in life they broke up. Kiri’s mum quit wrestling to raise Kirishima on her own 

-Kirishima’s hair is black like his father’s whereas his mothers hair is a reddish brown, to be more like her he died his hair red when he started up at UA.

-His mother currently runs and owns her own dojo where she teaches self defense and pro wrestling moves to aspiring heroes or to anyone who just wants to learn some basic combat. Her and Kiri spar from time to time

-His mum is a really good cook, often making meals with meat. When she was a wrestler she ate a lot of meat to meet protein requirements: Turkey, chiken, tuna and lean ground beef as a few she likes

-She’s close with Bakugo’s mum who she became friends with after Kiri brought Bakugo round for dinner one time

Pony’s parents

-Pony’s parents currently live in America, her mum being a pro hero known as Cow Lady (https://myheroacademia.fandom.com/wiki/Cow_Lady), and her father being a much more easy going man who works as a comedian (can you tell I was inspired by Jessica and Roger rabbit with these two-)

-Her dad is a goofster, a happy go lucky little man who had the biggest crush on Cow Lady for forever. Cow Lady was actually a more frequent audience member to his comedy act and that was how the two met, she was the one who asked him out in the end because he kept getting shy and chickening out. They are a very happy couple and love Pony dearly

-With Pony over in Japan it makes visiting hard, and with her mother’s busy career the family can only really get together for big holidays like christmas. Pony’s parents write as frequent as they can

-Her dad’s quirk is cannon ball, it’s pretty self explanatory. He can spit cannon balls from his mouth, the more he eats the more cannon balls he can fire, the drawback is that this drains his energy very quickly, which is why he persued comedy rather then being a hero. 

-Pony does have a relative up in Japan that she stayed with before the UA dorms where built. Before the dorms where made Pony stayed with her Uncle from her mothers side (I headcannon Big Horn as Pony’s uncle - https://myheroacademia.fandom.com/wiki/Big_Horn)

Sero’s parents

-His dad is a business man who owns a chain of convenience stores, a strict but still very nurturing father, genuinly does love his son. His quirk is sticky spit, self explanatory, by applying his spit to a surface it’ll act like glue - this only works with inanimate objects and he cannot stick himself to someone

-His mum runs meditation classes, a bit of a hippy. Many people think her heads in the clouds half the time but she’s actually very aware and a very good listener. Herself and Sero’s father where actually high school sweethearts and had Sero shortly after their marriage. A chill mum, decorates the house with scented candles at any given chance

-Sero’s mum is quite literally the mum friend, she babise all of Sero’s friends, insisting she makes them food cuz they look thin. Sero is kinda of embaressed at his mothers coddling, more so when his friends seem to enjoy the free attention and food. She is 110% unphased by Bakugo’s swearing and temper, just laughs lightly

-Sero’s dad does not like Bakugo at all. He actually took to Sero’s other friends very well and was happy when Sero brought them round one day, but Bakugo he cannont stand. Sero insits Bakugo is a dear friend but his father still needs a bit of persuading 

Kaminari’s parents

-Despite his parents not living together he actually has a very good bond with them both. Kaminari’s dad is situated in America as a hero with an electricity quirk and his Mum is that one electricity hero from the movie Heroes rising

-Before the UA Dorms he lived with his mother, neither Kaminari’s parents married but where in a relationship when Kaminari was born. They agreed to stay together to help raise their son but with hero work it often makes things hard. Kaminari’s dad is able to visit about 2-3 times a year, but even with work the two have a very happy relationship

-Kaminari’s dad sense his son little trinkets and clothing pieces from America he thinks he’ll like, it’s one of the reasons why Kaminari’s room is a bit all over the place with fashion, he’s grown up to like different clothing styles

-They love Jiro so much, they think she’s got some spunk and is good for Kaminari
