It was one thing to smell of death, like Robbie. that was normal, he grew up in a funeral home, he was exposed to a lot of death in his short little life. But reeking of death? That created a whole new picture cause reeking of death was different and then smelling of it reeking of death means you came to him with very close calls.

That the strings that the three fates held in their aching ancient old fingers frayed a bit at the edges but never fully broke.

Coming to a realization Danny surveyed the three children (because they were children his hypocrisy be damned these kids were just fledgling birds in his mind legal drinking age? screw that!) in front of him. He came to a decision as the official god of death King of all gods of death he would no longer take orders from the fates he would no longer take souls from bodies just cause he was told to.

If frayed edges led to the deaths of children then he wouldn't follow their rule and that was when the war between fate and death began

OKAY. I'm gonna turn into a bachelor of yappology here so bear with me ☝️🤓

🌹 Charlotte 'Jade' Le Jardin 🌹

Initially, I wanted to name her 'Roxanne'. Some of you might know this, but Jade used to be my original story's main character called Louisa. BUT, Louisa's initial name was Roxanne. I didn't know why, but elementary school me liked Roxanne so much (I didn't even know that it's also a song title by The Police back then HAHAH). I wanted a very recognizable name, but I think it was a bit much, so I switched to Charlotte because of Charlotte Bronte, the writer. Also, it turns out that 'Charlotte' means 'free man', it's pretty cool since Jade's story is mainly about breaking free from MI6's influence and shackles along with her parents. Meanwhile, Le Jardin was the result of Jade's family's occupation as a florist. I mean, it's a fake last name anyway as they were making an entirely new identity after escaping from MI6.

Jade was literally just because she had a green eyes, but I felt it's too cliche so I made an entirely new black division of MI6 where each agent is named of a type of ore/jewel. Plus, Jade is just easy to pronounce and recognizable, perfect for communication purpose!

🐞 Eleanor 'Ladybug' Graham 🐞

Eleanor's name came up just out of the blue from my mind. I drew Lady's design first, and then decided to make a name for her, and it's either Eleanor or Claudia, and I thought Claudia doesn't suit her at all, so I stayed with Eleanor. Eleanor means 'Light-hearted' or 'shining light', kind of goes along with her 'take-it-easy' attitude and how she's a medic and becomes the light of hope for the wounded. The surname Graham is literally just my obsession with Will Graham from Hannibal. My 14-16 year old ahh was obsessed with NBC Hannibal, and Will held a special place in my heart LOL.

When I created Ladybug, I knew I wanted a special and a cheeky callsign for her to pair with Gaz. I never really liked bugs, but I thought back then that a ladybug's shape and pattern is so damn cute and endearingly silly. So I just went with Ladybug. AND THEN, The NFC Championship 2023 game happened between 49ers vs Lions. Brandon Aiyuk caught a pass from Brock Purdy after the ball straight up bounced from Kindle Vildor's helmet, which resulted in a touchdown in the next play. At the interview post game, Aiyuk said "a ladybug landed on my shoe." JUST THEN I KNEW THAT LADYBUG MEANS 'GOOD LUCK'. And then the gears on my brain turned, and I can connect with how Gaz is always unfortunately hanging/falling from an aircraft, be it an airplane or a helicopter. The fact that he's always came out ALIVE after those events just tell me, there's gotta be a ladybug that's always with him 24/7!

🔥 Barandos 'Bara' Tarigan 🔥

For Bara, I just KNOW that his name's gotta be Bara because there's a celebrity chef from Indonesia called Bara Patirajawane, and it's such a sick name that I just had to make it into a name of my OC HAHAH. Bara also means 'fire embers' and it's pretty cool ngl. Tarigan is a Batak tribe surname (I'm half Batak from my name), so I just wanna have that element on my OC.

⏳ Silja Freyrsdottir ⏳

For Silja, I actually had quite a hardtime to name my OC. I didn't know what her appeareance yet, her story yet, and like what her role was in the God of War Ragnarok storyline. So I started to think of what goddess she was, and I wanted it to be close to Heimdall, so the Goddess of Memory and Remembrance it was. I then searched for that kind of god in the Norse mythology, and I didn't really find anyone that came close to what I imagined, so I just started from sratch. I sketched her character, and as I draw her I make up a story in my mind. Oh, she's an adventurer, a rogue princess, hmmm from what realm, Alfheim? Let's do that cuz I love Freyr. I wanted her name to be either 'Silja' which ironically means 'blind', or Ragnhild, which means 'battlecounsel'. QUICKLY I feel that Ragnhild sounded to professional for her adventurous character. Silja sounded so right, and her name could be like a contradiction to what her ability is, which is seeing people's pasts, but blind to the present (a flaw much like Heimdall's).

Nova Bamon is the daughter of one of the scientists at Urbanshade, an experiment conducted in secret for a long time before the breach.

Nova was only three years old when the experiments began.

She lived a life of solitude, kept in a self sufficient aquarium style tank in a secluded room.

She underwent procedures as her father wanted to try to solve gills before the rest of the company to prove himself. He quickly gave up when she gained her monstrous form, instead resorting to conducting experiments to see what exactly was happening to her.

Once discovered by the company, Nova was still isolated, as her father was disallowed from working on her.

She was incredibly violent, and had associated all forms of physical contact with being jabbed by needles. This led any who attempted kindness vulnerable to an attack.

Doctor Bamon, her father, kept very limited records of her, so the company had to try and figure out what exactly she was on their own.

Which meant more poking and prodding with needles.

Hint, it was Bull and Mako sharks ... maybe more things, haven't decided. suggestions open.

Her tank and enclosure room were kept dim, as she was noted to have extremely sensitive eyes.

Her excellent sense of hearing, quick speed, and agility led her to resisting experiments, hiding in various spots in her tank. Eventually the project was abandoned altogether when she was 16.

She spent the last 4 years before the breach in solitude.

When the breach happened, initially she refused to leave her tank, until she sensed the panic going on in the building.

When she did escape the newly unlocked room, she killed anything that came within sight.

Once her temper had cooled, and she'd become acquainted with Sebastian Solace, she found herself a medium sized tank, which shed find to sit in at times.

Nova, despite her extended solitude, cooperated quite well with Expendables, going as far as offering hints and tips, which had a mixed result- as she often lied, some of these would get Expendables injured or even killed.

If flashed by a flash beacon, she would hunt and kill everyone in the vicinity, her feral nature coming into play.

Nova has a tendency to return to her room, hiding for what is often hours at a time.

Nova has incredibly sensitive eyes, bright enough lights will render her blind for hours.

She has strong senses of smell and hearing as well, and tends to gravitate towards the smell of blood.

She likes the smell of blood, and seems to enjoy the taste as well.

She's very unpredictable, doing whatever pops up in her head.

She has an aversion to touch.

She also has a habit of making empty threats.

"Me?... my name is Nova... But if you tell ANYONE that, I will tear the flesh from your bones and feed it to the shark." Nova

She believes that anyone who knows her name can leverage it against her.

"Oh come on, just give me your arm, and I promise you can go home to Mommy. It won't even hurt. Please, Nova?" Doctor Bamon

She sees herself less as human and more as animal, and as such if supplies get low, is willing to eat dead Expendables. She already seems like she could eat more anyway, and you don't want to come across a starving shark...

She can breathe underwater through the use of gills.

Nova will ambush people.

Doctor Bamon, who is still alive, has in fact been trying to get his hands on her, which is kinda hard since she's in the facility and he's safely not.

For Faye's current name: (originally it was Fay Schmidt cause he's one of my oldest ocs, and I wanted to recycle him to GPGP.)

At first I'm trying to think what food pun of a name I could implement here, which I also introduced him for the first time to two creatures. Plus the name Lafayette is placed after I changed his last name. Cuz I found out Faye is short for Lafayette.

UGH I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS STUPID ORIGINAL STORY INSPIRED BY CHILCHUCK BUT I HAVE NO ONE TO LISTEN TO IM GOING TO TUMBLR

You can ignore this I just needa get it out somewhere

anyway it started out as a chil family au where Chilchuck and Meijack were knights serving a king and Meijack falling in love with a princess. But then I had an idea for an au about the whole family they were like in Ireland in the dark ages. Eventually I combined them together and took away the whole concept of it taking place in the dunmeshi universe. And instead put it in an original universe I already had and put them in an area that's based off Celtic mythology. So all the mythology was real so it was like Celtic fantasy kinda.

Then I realized I was changing the characters so much in appearance and personality (for Chilchuck and mickbell anyway) and that I was basically writing for scratch for Dandan, Meijack, Bellana (Chilwife), Puckpatti, and Flertom not to mention added a bunch of other original characters I thought "why am I limiting myself to it being an au" so I renamed and redesigned them all. They all still kinda look like their dunmeshi counterparts but that's ok.

I've already drafted out like 23 chapters so I just wanna vent about it cuz I'm never gonna like post it as a proper au fanfic or anything

Dandan is the only one I've made a REAL redesign for. But as you can see it still looks like him if you squint lmao. And his name is Danny (for now cus I still liked the idea of him going Dan but I might change it again)

OK THE ACTUAL PLOT

The Celt inspired people have a "peace treaty" with another ground of people inspired by the French (stay with me). The French will import lots of goods their people on the islands need in return every 20 years they take 50 "young men" (when in reality it's boys ages 15-20) to serve as knights for their military for 20 years.

Well at 15 Chilchuck's character gets picked along with his older brother Keegan (original character) bc they're very big as it runs in the family so they stand out a lot.

Chilchuck does his time, Keegan died during that time. But his lover and woman he proposed to literally the day he was taken, Bellana was pregnant with Maelock. (Meijack yes Ik very different leave me alone.) Maelock gets around 16, when she decided to go over seas because she can't wait another 4 years to meet her father and becomes a knight too in a desperate attempt to know him. Well while she's there she gets appointed to protect the princess and they fall in love secret love affair yada. Also Chilchuck's character becomes the captain of the royal forces, so he used the power he had to take Maelock home with him 4 years later when he retired.

Anyway they come home. And Chilchuck is obviously very different. Not only as he went from 15 to 35 he's like severally traumatized bc yk war obviously. Because Maelock was more of a guard and wasn't there as long she's not as bad. She just seems very depressed bc she left the love of her life but no one knows that.

So most of the story is Chilchuck's character trying to become adjusted to "domestic life again." They have three more daughters. Bonnie (Flertom's counterpart), Paddy (Puckpatti), and Nessa (original). Which having young kids as he didn't get to see Maelock grow up is really hard for him and part of it is learning how to deal with it.

(Not to mention having to reconnect with his family and himself like he is in these sorta)

While Chilchuck's character is tired and wants to never touch a sword (unless it's for defeating monsters cuz the islands and literally CRAWLING with crazy ass creatures. That's another part of it) ever again in his entire life. But Bellana's brother Danny (Dandan) on the other hand is angry. Bc he has to raise Maelock as a father figure. He has to take care of his pregnant sister at only 12 years old. He had to watch the families grief back at him for years and suffer because of their sons being taken to literally DIE. And it's very rare the boys come back. Only like 6 out of the 20 came back including Chilchuck's character I think.

Danny wants an uprising. He was to break that contract. And he believes that since Chilchuck's experience and position with the kingdom over seas will help them. That they possibly had a chance to win with him. But Chilchuck's character doesn't want to fight. He's tired. He doesn't want to see anyone else die under his command. Danny is angry with his in law but more at the people who took him.

Chilchuck's character kinda keeps this mindset especially since he had all girls so none of them would get taken. It's not until him and Danny find a beggar boy in the snow after getting publicly punished for stealing to eat and his husky (changed Kuro to a real dog but might change the type again). It's a cold night and he'll probably die out there. So they take him in. They make a deal that if he works they'll feed him and clothe him and let him stay with them. Only rules are not to steal and don't speak or touch his daughters. Or he'll "put his head on a spike and feed his body to wild boars" lol.

Well mickbells character (I CANNOT think of a new name for him.) is untrusting. Standoffish and his dislike for the family is very clear. But he is taken back by the kindness specially Bellana and Danny show him. Eventually he warms up to them and he sort of becomes part of the family. And he even falls for the second oldest daughter Bonnie (changed their ages so they're like the same age).

Well the date for when the kingdom comes back to take new boys is finally coming. And mickbells gotten pretty well built with the labor and being fed multiple times a day now. Chilchuck's character knows he'd definitely be chosen as he's only about 18, and it's pretty much pointless to hide him because the soldiers make sure no one can hide.

So finally Chilchuck's character decides alright I'll do something but it won't be war. (At least he hopes it won't cause one) so with his leadership the people of the village sunk the ship that came to collect them. Well this doesn't go well obviously, and the kingdom takes this as a broken treaty and they send battle ships.

They try to get as many people to the cliffs for safety as possibly. Because they literally cannot keep up with their technology (and they kingdom has use of magic while the Celtic people do not) so Chilchuck's character just tried to get everyone away with the rest of the family.

Accept for Maelock who knows for a fact that her life the Princess Willow (original) would have been crowned queen by now because she would've inherited the throne at 30 and she knew she was already way in her 30s. And it was costume for the leader or whatever. Maelock knew Willow enough to know she wouldn't do this on her own and it was probably the Queen 2 sessions before her (her grandma basically) pulling the strings as she had been for many years.

Maelock gets to the front of the battle finds Willow and tells her the truth behind everything. Willow and her parents were told by the grandmother that for years the men were coming willingly because they were paid very handsome sums for their work. And they were aloud to visit their families and etc etc just a bunch of lies.

Willow calls it off. As queen she issues a formal apology to the people and sets a new issue where they kingdom and island and trade partners and nothing more. With Willow and Maelock being together again they marry which also furthers a real peace between each country. Maelock does go live with Willow over seas but she tries to visit her family often.

I want Chilchuck's character to die. Either just from old age or he gets cursed. But I figured that wouldnt happen in the canon time line so I've just left

Pallete, As I'm completely excited for the new muppet series, i have a question, how old do you think the members of this band was when they found each other.

My personal theory is that Teeth left home at 14 to 15 years of age, looking to be independent. (Based on what he said in 2015 muppets) Got his gold tooth, bought a van and picked up his friends on the way to start his life on the road, playing piano for others and for money. The first being Janice.

I've actually spoken with Snuff about this on Discord a couple of times, and it was only after we got excited over the idea of a potential origin episode about the band did I start diving into the idea of the "How DID they all meet?"

I know in the 2015 show they said Janice dated Teeth for a short while and I thiiink theres a clip from the og show of them in the ballroom segment dancing together?? I'm still not 100% sure on if I love or just like Janice x Teeth, mostly cuz Janice x Floyd will forever be in my heart

My hc so far for how they met is this, this is a very quick description as my idea may change after the show:

Teeth left home at 16 (I know in the 2015 show he said 14 but I doubt he would have left home THAT when he was a teen) and left for the big city after someone responded to his calling for musicians for a band. Alas things didn't work out so Teeth is left working shifts playing the piano at a local pub and living off tips and what money he brought with him. Just as he's about to throw in the towel he runs into Floyd (same age as Teeth) and Animal (a few years younger). They quickly strike it up as friends for a few days, Floyd letting Teeth crash at their place while he's low on cash. Eventually the trio hit the road after Teeth discovered Floyd's and Animal's knack for the bass and guitar

~Side note~ As for how Teeth got his gold tooth I imagine it happened later in his life when he lost all his baby teeth. I like to believe Teeth constantly changes the story whenever someone asks how he got his golden tooth, when in reality it was probably something really stupid, like he fell down the stairs and slammed face first into the floor and knocked his tooth out

They spend a few months travelling, grooving out when they can at pubs and on street corners. They only ever stay in one place for a few weeks to scrape up cash before moving to the next city, trying to find more band members along the way. One day the trio get thrown off a train they'd snuck onto and land in somewhere just outside of San Francisco. After days of walking the group take a pit stop to rest up where they bump into Janice peacefully meditating - it took a bit for her to actually notice them but she very kindly tells them she knows a place for he weary trio to recharge on their travels. The gang take temporary roost on Haight street (hippy street), a happy, thriving, laxed group of hippies (and a few stoners-) from all walks of life. The band are happily welcomed into the community and the locals are very enthusiastic about their music, more enthusiastic then any city folk have been! Over their stay Floyd probably develops a little crush on Janice, who though at first denies their request to join them on the road she changes her mind last minute and catches the next bus/train with them out of town

I'm not too sure about Zoot - I had the idea of him maybe being apart of Janice's little hippy community and, at the time, him and Janice are roommates and not yet together together (I do love the ship Zoot x Janice, I think it's cute and I like the idea of them being a thing in the past!), if anyones got suggestions feel free to share em!

Lips was the last to join (referenced in my story Well I Think You're Pretty Cool on A03). Lips grew up fairly poor and a lot of his clothes where hand me downs, going off from Snuf's (discord buds) HC's Lips grew up near the coastline where not a lot happened, but he grew a love for music thanks to the countless parties that would happen at the beach. He left home bright and with a skip in his step, not too sure how he bumps into the band, perhaps he overhears them playing in a pub on his travels and after the performance shyly offers his compliments . From there Teeth notices the little instrument case Lips is carrying around and Lips plays them a little solo on his trumpet, where the band applaud him, then ask him if he wants to join their crew

mod millie are there any submissions you wish you could’ve posted but didn’t for whatever reason (blog guidelines, too generic, already done, etc)?

I've gotten requests for characters with certain disabilities, but they either [accidentally!] use ableist language while describing it or really outdated and harmful terms and it bums me out.... cuz... it makes me want to yknow. Resubmit it with the 'correct' or at least modern language? Seeing people refer to Mike& as having MPD makes me want to shrivel like a prune. We don't call it that anymore, especially not for a character who'd be born what, like 2010?

Some I like but they're just so long. I have to read all of these guys, just in case I noticed you accidentally dropped a slur and the home address to my mother in the middle of your ask. I got the diagnosed 'noia and it's in full swing every time I see an inbox message.

Sometimes I get ones with interesting ideas, but the message is so littered with strong language (not slurs just awkward to read about 16 year olds) or more mature content that I put them in the backburner in my inbox until I just. Forget them. If I feel like the show would get flack from the normal crowd for having that kind of character, I tend to be like... maybe a different show would suit them (I promise I'm not a prude but sometimes I'm like... I'm too old for this kinda comedy...)

I get a lot of requests for lesbian characters who "think they're just friends" ala Katie and Sadie, but unfortunately 1. everyone knows this and 2. it's not original posting the 4th time. However if I got requests like "we need characters who think they're just friends like Jasmine and SAMMY, while one of them is in a [het] relationship going nowhere", that's new, that's something to work with. There's plenty of "girlbestfriends" we can project the lesbian beams at for future characters, not just Katie and Sadie.

sorry if you've already answered these questions but I've decided to start watching Star Trek and/or Doctor Who and I was wondering if you had any suggestions or anything. Like with Star Trek I know to start with the TOS cuz that's what you always recommend, but considering it's the original series and there are other series I'm guessing it isn't making new episodes any more, so do you have any advise for what to do if I end up loving TOS and finish it? And how important is it to watch TOS in order? And is there anything I should be warned about first(whether it's content/trigger warnings, specific episodes I should avoid, or anything else)? And for Doctor Who, considering it's had 15(or 16, can't remember if the newest doctor is the 15th or replaced the 15th) main characters I'm guessing it's a pretty long show, so should I start with a later doctor or is it important for me to start from the beginning? And returning to Star Trek cuz fuck normal orders, do you have any suggestions for Star Trek stuff to watch if I like specific aspects of TOS but not all of it?

ok so uh. with star trek i have only seen TOS. im really not the best person to ask about watch order. TOS only has 3 seasons, and they're all about 20 episodes. i would recommend starting at the beginning and watching all of it!! there wasnt really any episode that i didnt enjoy tbh. you dont have to watch it in order ig? the episodes dont really connect in any meaningful way except for the menagerie part one and two. but idk why you would want to watch it out of order?

in terms of content warnings. it is a show from the 60s so there can be some questionable stuff in there (mainly casual misogyny), but for the most part they actually do pretty ok!! the main one that sticks out to me is the episode Miri, in which Kirk (man in his 30s) kinda flirts with this girl Miri and encourages her crush on him (she's chronologically 100s of years old but mentally and physically like. 12.). theres also The Enemy Within where kirks evil clone assaults a woman, but she does fight him off before he actually does anything.

with doctor who, yes there are 15 versions of the doctor. however, there are technically 3 different 'season one's. theres the og season one that aired back in 1963, i would not recommend starting there on a first watch lmao. theres also the current 'season one' that is airing right now! but i dont think it actually makes for a good place to join as a new viewer. they dont do a very good job of introducing the character of the doctor to someone unfamiliar with the franchise, and the lore is just kinda. dumped on you.

i would recommend starting with the middle 'season one', the one that aired in 2005 when the show rebooted after being off the air for about a decade. it was made to be a place for new fans to join, and did a much better job of it than the current season, in my opinion. up until very recently, i had only seen seasons that aired after the reboot in 2005, and so have many other fans my age, so you wont be confused at all if you start there. (also, 9 is a great doctor, and absolutely worth watching!)

if you watch TOS and enjoy it, i think most people recommend watching The Next Generation next, but i have also heard that Deep Space 9 is good? idk, like i said ive only seen TOS so far, but i love it and am obsessed with it lmao.

i technically have two! the second kiki is a revamp of the original kiki that i made in 4th grade and they might as well be different people ahah. but both are for the series inuyasha! (tho new kiki is also a touken ranbu oc!)

Original Kiki is a 16 year old girl from the modern era who had plans of being a fashion designer. She is thrown into the ocean by Naraku in disguise (how he wound up in the modern era is a mystery lol) who wanted to destroy her cuz there were prophecies that she would be the one to destroy him. Somehow the process of going back in time for Kiki turned her into a half-demon, I'm still not sure how that worked.

The New TM Kiki is a biracial girl (Cuban and Japanese) living in Japan and is the daughter of two evil scientist types researching the powers of the saniwa, a sage that can breathe life into inanimate objects. They discover that their daughter is the newest saniwa and experiment on her nonstop until she runs away. It turns out her power only really works "well" on objects that are 100+ years old and have developed a soul of their own, enabling them to take the phyiscal human form while newer objects just kinda bounce around and follow simple commands. She goes to a different school than Kagome which is why she doesnt recognize her when she finds her hiding in the shrine. In a panic, Kiki hides inside the well and winds up in the past... but is too weak from malnutrition to climb out. Eventually demons come to feast on her but a dying demon named Sue manages to get to her and convince her to fuse their souls/bodies so they can both survive. This turns Kiki into a half demon herself. She traverses the feudal era, enjoying her new freedom and fucks up the timeline by stealing the swords of famous generals and such before they become generals.

Outer Science: Intro rambles

This rearrange cover ft. Kagamine Len is my fave Outer Science fan-cover~ I honestly prefer it over the OG cuz the tuning is better and the adlibs and robotic tones/voice effects really add sm. Has so much more oomph than the OG.

KagePro: Intro rambles

KagePro is a multimedia project/franchise that originally started as Vocaloid songs. It also has a light novel, manga, and (shitty) anime adaptation. These music videos would tell the story of a group called the Mekakushi Dan (Blindfold Gang), teens who died on August 15th and entered the never-ending world called the Kagerou Daze (Heat Haze Daze) and came out with an eye ability.

Kuroha (Dark Konoha) or The Snake of Clearing Eyes (Me ga Saeru Hebi), is the series' big bad antagonist. He is one of Azami's snakes who possesses humans' vessels. He usually possesses Konoha's body, and kills everyone in the Mekakushi Dan to force Marry, the current holder of the Queen Snake (and granddaughter of the original Medusa, Azami), to reset the timeline, thus, forever repeating the "never ending tragedy."

I'm still amazed by Sidu's MVs. Outer Science is still my fave KagePro song and MV. Sidu's art style is so nice and their MVs are gorgeous. Sidu really appealed to my aesthetic tastes when I first saw this MV in 2013 as a 12 year old, I was immediately enamoured with it. They have such great aesthetic sense.

The colours and chosen visuals… How every single scene has so much attention to detail and connects to the story…

My origins with KagePro

I first got into KagePro when I was 12, so Kuroha was my 12 year old self's big fave~ KagePro was my kid self's first fandom interest.

12 ~ 16 y/o me was OBSESSED with this mf and the KuroEne ship 😭 Ene my wife… 🥺💙 Cuz I shipped them when Kuroha was originally thought to be a dark alter ego of Konoha/Haruka. That got debunked but the ship brings such great angst fuel

Art Inspiration

I did a quick Kuroha doodle. God the lowkey buff-ification is happening just like with Unknown/Saeran, but oh well LOL

Oh I think I also want the KagePro LNs 🙏 Sidu's gorgeous Kagerou Daze VII (7) cover with Kuroha on the cover 🖤💛 This will always be my favourite cover. Sidu's art style is IMPECCABLE I love their aesthetics sm… The pose and blood splatters and Kuroha and Azami's expressions… AHHH IT SLAPS SO HARD

I thought of a composition where all the "Keep out" tapes bind around his hands and arms just like in the LN cover.

It's based on the "Welcome to my womb" (Youkoso waga tainai he) line in the Outer Science MV and my fave Kagerou Daze (LN) cover -from the darkness- 🤭✨

I remember drawing fanart of it when this LN first got announced and came out in 2016, but my old art looks like frigging doodoo so I did a quick doodle redraw of it. I wanna draw JuAli, Saeran/MC, and KuroEne, soon, but grrr school!

Sen's KuroEne AU 🖤💙

The first ship I was obsessed with as a 12 year old was KuroEne cuz it was based off the popular fan-theory that Kuroha was a dark alter ego/corrupted form of Konoha, and so, that would've given the ship a connection (due to HaruTaka and KonoEne)

It got debunked by MCA (Mekakucity Actors), the KagePro anime, in 2014, since Kuroha was revealed to be Saeru, the Snake of Clearing Eyes, so ever since, I preferred dealing with KuroEne in lighthearted AUs instead.

But I also like thinking of KuroEne in canon-verse angst AUs where Kuroha messes around in the routes (timelines) and pretends to be Konoha. He decides to befriend the Mekakushi Dan members before k*lling them this time, and Ene projects her feelings for Haruka and Konoha, onto Kuroha (who she thinks is Konoha…)

2 years ago, before Ene lost her human body and became a cyber girl, she was Takane, a special needs student who had a chronic illness that would cause her to constantly faint and feel tired no matter how much she slept.

She was put in the same special needs class as Haruka, her friend and classmate who she eventually fell in love with. She never got the chance to tell him her feelings before she died. When she entered the Kagerou Daze and gained an eye ability, she gained a body that never needed sleep in response to her wish back when she was alive.

Haruka was an artist, and designed game avatars for them back then - Ene and Konoha. In the present day, 2 years later, when she meets Kuroha, she recognizes his appearance, and thinks he's Konoha. After seeing Kuroha, who she thinks is Konoha, she's surprised to see "Konoha" in the flesh...

In my KuroEne AU, Ene thinks that Kuroha is Konoha with Haruka's memories, because Kuroha/Saeru remembers previous routes (timelines) and thus knows her true name (Takane) and context.

I'm insane LMAO. I love angst!

I'm just thinking about how much I mellowed out over the years, cuz my ship AUs for LimGuda (Douman/Ritsuka), IdaTatsu (Idate/Tatsumiya), XanLena (Xanxus/Selena), JuAli (Judar/Alibaba), etc., are super fluffy and focused on the characters' relationship development and moments of emotional intimacy, building rapport and connection... These AUs are overall happy/have a happy ending! I want my faves to be happy <3

But the ship AUs I made when I was a kid, like for KuroEne (Kuroha/Ene), were angsty as hell. I think it's just cuz Kuroha's setup and role in KagePro's plot, as the big bad murderer that kills the entire Mekakushi Dan, just makes it so that any KuroEne AUs (and Kuroha ships in general tbh), that take place in canon-verse, will always end tragically. Good thing I still got it in me to be able to write angst/tragedy... hehe.

Ofc, I will delve into light-hearted AUs with them too that take place outside of canon~ I want to write/draw KuroEne in a much more fluffy and lighthearted setting too.

1. how would you describe your art style? uhhhhhhhh, maybe "safe" is the word rn. whenever I think of my art style, what comes to mind is just how little I've been pushing things with it. I wanna change that ;D

2. what's your favorite thing about your style? I realize I like to use semi-realistic proportions, its cool how comfortable I've gotten with drawing faces and bodies

3. what's your least favorite thing about your style? It's so static man. same thing I said for the first question, I don't think anything really looks bad, but it just is lacking in creativity in comparison to the older art that should be looking worse than what I do now. I prefer my older stuff ;D (looking at you inktobertale2021.. where did it all go wrong)

4. favorite thing to draw? regular ol people. human characters are def more in my comfort zone, which explains why I keep hitting skeletons with the humanization ray (also I prefer to draw feminine characters)

5. least favorite thing to draw? I can't even say I rlly dislike it cuz of how rarely I even do it, but I am procrastinating so hard on learning backgrounds..

6. warm colors or cool colors? cool colors are my fav, but i find it easier to work with warm ones (I used to put a cool overlay over all my warm toned drawings hgdhfg)

7. show us a WIP behold, the wip ever. this drawing... was supposed to be posted on august 2022. and then, it was supposed to be posted on dec 21st, dream and nightmares birthday. (atp if I do end up wanting to finish this idea again, I'll probably just scrap it and start over)

8. what's the most fun and least fun parts about your process? most fun is flat color and rendering. (though I rarely do the latter anymore) and for least fun, tbh a lot of the sketching part tends to be difficult for me, sometimes its cool tho

10. how many different sketches do you usually have until your piece is finished? I think I do need to make more of at least thumbnail sketches tbh.. I usually just make one and keep editing it, trusting the process. 13. how long do you usually take one a piece? depends. I'll have like 276478923 wips started, and then I get a random idea that I just have to do right at that moment, and I'll get it done in like 1-4 hours. meanwhile old sketches start to rot and maybe if its lucky I'll revisit it before my motivation dies and my style is too different to wanna continue from where I left off 14. digital or traditional? digital all the way, i've gotten too dependent on the transform tool + liquefy ;D (and many other things tbh but I'd be here all day if I tried comparing them more jhdjdf)

15. if digital, what program do you use? procreate, the layouts on other drawing programs scare me

16. favorite media to work with when drawing traditionally pen on paper (am I understanding this right wdym media-)

17. what do you love getting compliments about? I like when people enjoy the humanizations I come up with, and also original designs in general 18. are you satisfied with the attention your art usually gets? hmmm yeah

19. how often do you draw? very often, I just don't have finished things to share most days

I finished writing my self indulgent story about Kalim moving to Agrabah as an adult and messing around in the government and now I don't know what to do with my free time. This story is never gonna see the light of day, but I thought I'd share some of the original characters for it for funsies and to talk about them to someone fjdhxfjhsbd

The first friend Kalim makes in the city is Naz who's just some young woman who works at her family’s diner that Kalim eats at all the time. This diner becomes a bit of a meeting place for the developing friend group/crime crew. I belatedly made her a tiger beastwoman so she's kind of a reference to Rajah, but it's not plot relevant. She's not actually that plot relevant, she mostly just acts as the only connection to normalcy for the team😭 Oh also she and Kalim cook together a lot, they're bros.

Next is Hassan, a middle aged man who was sentanced to life in prison after attempting to assassinate Kalim as child. He was a mercenary who was hired by one of Kalim's family members, but he hesitated before killing Kalim and Jamil ended up stabbing him in the eye😬cut to 10 years later and Hassan is trying to change for the better in prison and Kalim goes to check in on him and hire him as his personal body gaurd so he doesn't have to rely on his dad. Hassan is obviously bewildered by this but eventually takes him up on it to in some way make up for his dark past by protecting people instead of hurting them. He's also reasonably terrified by Jamil when he eventually shows up much later in the story💔

Final bestie!! She looks so mad here I promise she's just very serious. This is Farah she was going to school for law as a prosecutor but began to investigate the government when her brother went missing while working there--which lead to her getting threatened out of the investigation and her career altogether. She's had kinda a rough life but she's chill. She and Kalim work together (unofficially) They arent as close and him and Naz but they respect each other a lot.

for the less friendly characters- These two are some of the children of the current sultan (this gov structure is never mentioned in twst but i mixed the world of Aladdin and modern stuff) The blurry guy on the right is the oldest son, Raheem. The woman on the left is his younger sister, Zainab. Their father has been suspiciously sick for a while now, but I'm sure that means nothing. Zainab is a scholar who was researching direbeasts but was pulled out of her research to fulfill various duties for her family, which she is quite bitter about. She is also a mage but we're not supposed to know that...She's not fully good not completely evil, though. Raheem sucks in all possibly capacities.

the finish off with the family- Kalim obviously has a huge family but here's two of them that both show up like once😭 I imagine Kalim's father as basically just the Sultan from Aladdin ngl. So I imagine Kalim gets his white hair from his dad and his freaky red eyes from his mom, cuz she's a mage idk let her be weird. His mom is on the left, I just really like how I drew her idk I should draw more older women. The girl on the right is Baara, Kalim's younger sister, next in line in terms of the family business. She's his half sister from a different mother, so she doesn't have the red eyes but her hair has streaks of white. I'm not sure how old I want her to be, probably 16 or 17. I'm still not certain how good or bad I want them to be...It's complicated...I think...Kalim is struggling with his relationship to his family, especially after finally experiencing living completely on his own.

Again, this story is not meant to be read by anyone other than me- But I thought it'd be fun to share the characters and a tiny bit of the story- Though there isn't much of the story. The idea just comes from me wondering "how is Kalim going to come to terms with his family and their position now that he knows how much Jamil was suffering?" and "how can I force Kalim to be decently self sufficient?" oh, and of course "how can I put Kalim in so many situations and make him so sad?"
