cutter gauthier x y/n fantilli the fantilli brothers walk in at the wrong time! Maybe mid argument?

this summer was supposed to be fun. spending a week in a tropical climate with your brothers, their girlfriends, and your boyfriend was supposed to be fun. it was not supposed to start with an argument between you and cutter. but that's exactly what happened.

"she was all over you and you didn't say anything!" you shout, voice raising more and more by the second. "oh my god y/n, she was not all over me," cutter groans, throwing his head back in frustation. "what some girl hanging off your shoulders isn't all over you? okay! my fucking bad then!" you reply. it's quiet for a moment.

adam sticks his head inside the room. neither of you see him, but he notices your eyes that are brimming with tears. he can feel the frustration emitting off of you. he watches as you rub at your eyes, trying so hard not ot break down in front of your boyfriend. cutter, like adam, notices your change in behavior.

"y/n...i'm sorry. i didn't...i wasn't even thinking about how she was coming on me. in my mind we were just talking, and yes she was being touchy, and i should've made her back off, but baby please...i would never...i could never leave you," cutter whispers, stepping closer to you. he takes your head in his hands, thumbs softly brushing against your cheeks, wiping away the tears.

"i know that i...it's so hard cut," you answer, a small sob escaping your lips. adam wants to step in. he wants to hug you and soothe your cries. as he moves from his spot, luca's hand wraps around his bicep. he gently shakes his head, sending a silent message to the younger fantilli brother. you and cutter need to work this out, whatever it is.

with your brothers out of the house, and away for a long period of time, it was only logical for you to invite cutter. adam was busy playing hockey with team canada and luca was away with some of his michigan team mates. thus, you and cutter had the house to yourselves (plus your parents).

“we could do whatever you want,” you said to him, making a quick lunch for the both of you as he just landed.

cutter smiled, shrugging his shoulders in an adorable manner. “why don’t we just relax for now? later we could go out for dinner, just the two of us?” he suggested, taking the plate filled with food from your hands.

“fine by me,” you smiled, taking the seat next to him at the table. his left hand grabbed your right thigh, throwing your leg over his. you giggled at the action, moving your chair a bit closer to his, so much so that your shoulders were touching.

“i love you,” you said. “love you too babe,” he mumbled with a mouth full of food.

"rutger please. why are you making me do this?" cutter asks, looking at his friend. "because! you're my friend and i want you to meet everyone. besides, you'll need to get to know them if you want to date y/n," rutger says, leading cutter further into the hockey house. "but i've already met a bunch of them at world juniors," cutter continues to complain.

"stop whining cutter. oh my god, how does y/n even deal with you," rutger groans. suddenly, all the boys eyes are on him. he can see seamus and gavin trying to stifle their laughs, while dylan doesn't give him that common courtesy. "dude," cutter complains, but dylan just continues to laugh, even getting luke involved. "i'm sorry, but i had too. you guys bicker like a married couple. you sure you're not dating rutger?" dylan teases, causing cutter's face to flush.

"no. he's dating my sister," adam groans. this is going to be a long weekend.

“so this is arizona,” y/n says as she hops out of cutter’s car. “yup! bright and sunny,” he replies, meeting her at the trunk of his car. from there he pulls out her suitcase, locking the car leading you towards the front door.

“mom! i’m home! y/n’s with me,” he shouts, closing the door behind you. from there he leads you further into the ac’ed home, right into the kitchen. “oh cutter. you’re back,” she says happily, putting down the dishes that she was loading i to the cabinet. “yup! and i brought my girlfriend,” he explains, hands on your shoulders.

“hi mrs gauthier. it’s nice to meet you. thanks for having me,” you greet, giving her a small wave. she smiles at you, giving you a quick once over before pulling you into a hug. “you’re always welcome here. you’re so gorgeous, my son is very lucky,” she says. “mom!” cutter groans, throwing his head back while you just laugh at him.

"who invited him?" adam asks, looking at luca. the two brothers are watching on the sidelines as their sister and her boyfriend skate around the rink. y/n is trying, and failing, to out skate cutter in what must have been their third race of the day.

"not me," luca mumbles, arms crossed as he watches y/n shove cutter after winning. their eyebrows furrow as cutter hugs her, lifiting her up slightly. y/n shrieks, her arms wrapping around his neck. cutter laughs, placing a soft kiss on her lips, which y/n does not hesitate to deepen.

"hey!" adam shouts, causing the two to pull apart. all eyes are on them now, as luca continues, "none of that! i mean it gauthier!"

"where are you taking me luca? i was studying," you complained as your older brother led you across campus. when he came into your dorm room, demanding that you come with him, you were skeptical. "will you relax? this will be good. trust me," he said, finally stopping in front of yost.

standing there, with a bouquet of flowers was cutter. "cutter? what are you doing here?" you asked in complete awe. "i had a weekend off, so i came to visit," he explained, pulling you into a tight hug.

“do you think he got it?” you asked rutger, chewing nervously on your nail. “i’m sure he got it y/n. maybe he just hasn’t opened it or something,” he assured, trying to calm you down. it was weird seeing you so anxious about a package that cutter might have got, then again this was his birthday gift. maybe that’s what you were on edge?

“but i don’t want him to think i forgot,” you explained. rutger sighed, a deep one at that. “he doesn’t think you forgot. you texted him this morning, called him after class, and aren’t you guys going to facetime later?” rutger asked. “yeah…” you trailed off, looking at the hockey player. “exactly! so he does not think you forgot, no way!” rutger exclaimed loudly.

you were about to reply as your phone rang with an incoming call from cutter. you answered it immediately, excitement coursing through your voice as you said, “hi cutter!” “hey did you send me a package?” he asked, voice gruff. “yes did you open it?” you replied, tapping rutger to get his attention. “i’m doing it now, babe,” he mumbled, struggling with the tape. “okay okay!” you cheered, trying to mime with your hands that cutter was opening the gift.

“cookies, a couple hoodies, wait are these mine? i’ve been looking for this grey one for ages,” cutter said. you flushed at this words, even though he couldn’t see it. “they stopped smelling like you, so i figured you want them back,” you explained softly. “that was very thoughtful, thanks babe,” cutter said. “wait did you see the picture?” you asked frantically. “the picture?” he questioned. “yeah i sent you the picture we took when you came to visit me. i had it framed and everything,” you explained. “oh i found it! it was buried in the packing peanuts,” he announced.

when you invited cutter to come out to michigan for the weekend, you didn’t think it was a big deal. your brothers and their friends on the other hand didn’t agree.

“i cannot believe you convinced cutter to come here y/n. in the winter too!” rutger said, excitement present on his face. “i know me too,” you agree, waiting for cutter at the airport. you and rutger were picking cutter up before the two of you embarked on a quick, pre-hockey game, date. after what felt like ages, cutter walked through the airport doors. you met him halfway, throwing your arms around his broad shoulders while his took their place around your waist.

“hi baby, i missed you,” he mumbled against your neck. “missed you too,” you answered, fingers grasping at his long hair. “you kind of need a haircut,” you observed, pulling back just enough so you could see his face. he rolled his eyes, but the smile on his face told you that he wasn’t really mad. “soon, maybe,” he said, pressing a kiss to your cheek.

“ahem! i am here too!” rutger announced, causing both your heads to turn towards him. “sup rutger,” cutter greeted, never once moving to step away from you. “i’m great thanks for asking,” the wolverine answered with a sweet smile on his face. you and cutter laugh at his statement, but continue to bask in each others presence as you walk back to the car.

“so the boys have a game tonight, but i figured we’d have a little date night before, and if we make it to the game then we make it to the game,” you explained as you slid into the backseat with cutter. “whatever you want y/n, i’m just glad to spend the weekend with you,” cutter answered. you melt at his words, wiggling closer to him. “me too cut,” you whispered, kissing his jaw as rutger started up the car.

“what?” you snapped, answering your brother’s facetime call. “where are you? are you in bed?” luca asked, eyes squinted as he examined your surroundings. “yes, why?” you replied, annoyance dripping from your voice. you and cutter were relaxing in your dorm, watching a movie, when luca so rudely interrupted. “is cutter there? he better not be sleeping in your bed y/n. and you better have clothes on!” luca rambled, walking over to someone, who you can only assume is adam. “luca use your brain, obviously he’s here,” you mumbled, watching as adam’s face pops into the screen. “get your ass to eddy’s house,” the younger of the two demands. “for what?” you argued, but you shove cutter’s arm, hinting for him to get up. “the boys want to meet your man,” adam answered casually, causing cutter’s eyes to widen. he vigorously shakes his head no, begging for you to disagree. “that’s absolutely insane adam! no way!” you shouted, glaring at your brothers. “y/n please! we want to hang!” rutger begged, and he sounded like such a kicked puppy that neither you nor cutter could refuse.

when you pull up to the house, there’s a group of guys waiting on the stairs. “they have to be fucking kidding,” you groaned, putting your car in park. “this is kind of scary, like scarier than meeting your parents,” cutter said, looking out the window. “you’ll be fine. they’re harmless. besides, they have to say,” you answered with a shrug as you open the door and get out of the car. cutter follows behind you, his fingers finding their spot intertwined with yours.

“this is cutter?” mark asked, walking down the stairs to meet the bc player. “yup! this is my boyfriend, cutter. babe this is mark estapa,” you introduced, watching as the two boys give each other a once over. “when’d you meet?” mark asked, arms crossed as he looks at cutter. “draft night. she was lost so i helped her find her seat,” cutter answered. mark nods. “so you rizzed her up?” he asked. “i um..i guess,” cutter answered uncertainly. mark laughs at cutter’s words before patting him on the shoulder. “he’s good boys!” he shouted, leading cutter into the house.

you laugh at mark and his words while cutter just gives you a look that screams ‘what the fuck’.
